Ever since I started hosting a monthly event at E9, I've become a regular and I don't mind at all. They rotate the beers monthly and change up some of their pizzas on a regular basis. They recently switched out the autumn seasonal pizza (my favorite but hey it's February) which made me sad but at the same time they introduced a stout called "Sad Wings" which left me a lot less sad. E9 has a super comfortable vibe and one of the best things about it is that -- with the exception of the Mariners being in the run up to the playoffs -- there are no screens. It's a place for conversations and getting connected which is exactly why they're the perfect place for hosting Bar Stories, a monthly storytelling event for everyone

Been here twice. Will 100% be back time and time again. Parking is so so, street parking on neighboring blocks. Indoor and covered outdoor seating. The pizza is absolutely reason enough to come here. Even if you aren't a beer drinker (me), the food and atmosphere are top notch! The husband says the beer selection is also good. So there ya go! Everyone we have encountered working at the counter has been so lovely! Friendly and knowledgeable and welcoming. One lady had the coolest earrings! A must go if you haven't tried and a must go if you have friends or family visiting!

What a great brewery. Great food, great service and great drinks. This is a rare brewery that can offer food, drinks and allow dogs which I really appreciated. Their beer selection is both expensive and high quality. And their food is well above average. The pizza was amazing, but the broccolini appetizer was even better. The only weird thing is that you have to get a table before ordering food, but since it was just me and my dog I couldn't easily 'reserve' a table without leaving it to order the food - especially on a crowded Saturday night. It's too bad they don't offer a QR code option to order, but overall this didn't impact my great experience here.

My wife and I have eaten here on multiple occasions and it has become our favorite restaurant and bar in Tacoma. The staff is attentive and friendly I've never had to ask for a refill and they always check to see if we are enjoying our food. The E9 beers are ice cold and delicious! The menu is unique and all the dishes we've tried have been spot on. The interior decor is cool and very chill we love sitting in the bar to eat. I 100% recommend this place for a nice evening out with friends or family.

My husband. And probably an IPA. And wtvr the Special pizza was that day.

Advice : Don't bring a date. Bring someone you KNOW you love. Like your dog! Or your sibling or parent or cousin. Just one! Have a nice meal and a couple of drinks together. Yes even the dog. The folks who work here make it feel like coming home. It's our Happy Place. It can be yours, too.

i live walking distance from this restaurant and i was curious to see what it was about, The food was sooo delicious we for "The radiator" pizza and i was blown away by the flavor!!! truly a unique taste. The man who serviced us was so helpful when it came to explaining the brews and types of ciders they had and let us taste a sample of their cider i ended up getting a glass and loved it !! The place itself is relaxed and a place for an intimate quick dinner or a night with friends. We sat outside and even tho it was rainy and chilly we sat next to a heater and couldn't even tell!! Will definitely be back!

We just met friends here and had a wonderful time! The food & drinks were great and all of the friendly doggies were just amazing. We shared a pickle plate, Brussels sprouts, a Spicy Calabrian and a Radiator. The pickly things were juicy, fresh and had lots of interesting flavor. The carrot hummus was a little bit lost among all of the juicy tang but the bite I found with a corner of the fluffy bread was delicious. The Brussels sprouts salad weighed about 5 pounds and was a savory pile of tiny sprouts fired in the pizza oven, piled on creamy burrata and topped with oodles of sweet hot chilies. The Radiator was my favorite of the two pizzas we tried. You just don't see 'roni cups often around here and paired perfectly with the toothsome, perfectly charred crust and the hot honey drizzle. The Spicy Calabrian was a close second though with creamy ricotta and spicy Italian sausage. The cider on tap was a highly unique and delicious peach hot honey that went superbly with the pizzas. If you like beer, dogs, pizza and nice people, stop on by.

Margarita pizza...very tasty (but a bit greasy for a margarita).

Greeted with a very warm welcome. I ordered the Margarita Pizza and the Fuzzy Claus beer. Both were excellent choices! Seating is varied. You can sit inside the bar room or out in the brewing area. This place is dog friendly as there were a couple well behaved dogs that customers brought in. I'd recommend this place! Only about a 10 min walk from the Hilton Garden Inn.

Went here with friends who live in Tacoma. Loved it so much we brought more friends when we were driving through. This visit we got the truffle hustle which was tasty with big pieces of mushroom and a good truffle taste. We also got the radiator pizza and the honey was a perfect balance of sweetness to the flavorful pepperoni. They always have a good selection of beers and offered us tasters.

Perfect beer on a perfect day.

Always a good time here. Great wood fired pizza on the patio and a great selection of drafts and bottles in the tap house. From saisons, to ipas. You can find some very interesting beers here. One of my top 3 breweries in Tacoma!

    Chillin' in the outdoor seating.

Great food and beer! Friendly and welcoming staff. The outdoor seating is perfect for bringing your dog. Will visit again!

Each slice had this much pepperoni!
    Katie N.

Cute place I liked that you are able to get half pours of their beer. I had one of their ipas that was good. Extensive pizza menu as well. Pizza was legit covered in pepperoni. It was a little greasy.

The special pizza is a must staff if friendly would recommend this brewery

Super open concept and I can definitely see how they manage to host events here on a regular basis. Also love the vibe here and the string lights, it just makes everything feel cozy. They have lots of board games, corn hole, and a steel tip dart board for people to enjoy. They're also kid-friendly which is nice to note for future visits (sorry if you're one of those people who doesn't like kids at breweries, we're still rollin' up). Service was great while we were here as well. Their beer selections are solid and I enjoyed their hazy. They also have a cider or two on tap as well as a seltzer, if I'm remembering correctly. They have a good selection of canned wines as well. Overall this is a solid brewery and with it being close to home, I'm sure we'll be back a few times this summer!

The apps and drinks were well received aside from one of the mixed drinks that came down to preference and not execution. Unfortunately things took a turn after the apps. The specials were just "OK" with everyone at the table mostly finishing their meals but saying they wouldn't order again. I got the beef dip sandwich and it was pretty bad. The jus was more like a burned cornstarch slurry (it was thick AND broken). I sent it back and tried the sandwich on its own, only to find the beef dry and crumbly and the seasoning non existent. I ended up sending the whole thing back after 2 bites and based on everyone else's meal I decided to just skip and eat something at home. My meal was supposed to come with Cajun tots but they gave me regular. Whatever, that wasn't a big deal. The server was gracious enough to remove the item from our meal (which was around $240 before tip for 7 people). We asked about desserts (it's mother's day) but their special "mystery" dessert was 86'd, despite it being a holiday at 6:30. We said we would need a minute but the server must have had a break because we sat there for 10-15 minutes waiting to put in a dessert order and get our bill. The hostess area was devoid of staff and there was only one other server running another section. Finally a new server came up and we ordered a dessert to go and asked for our bill. I'll probably not come back, at least not the main floor area. I'm left kinda scratching my head about what this place has to offer that's worth the price beyond a "Millennial Quirky" atmosphere.
