I received a text message that I got a birthday coupon which was so cool as I didn't know that was a thing. Additionally, they had another coupon for 50% off pizza that you can combine with your birthday offer. They are located close to where we live and we've only visited their location in Puyallup. I got the 12 inch Carnivore and it was ready within 10-12 minutes which was great as that was a little less than how much it took to get there. It looked gorgeous when I took a picture of it and I shared with my boyfriend and little brother who enjoyed it too! Some differences that I noticed is that the outdoor seating is just a few tables and chairs outside so you can enjoy your meal outside and they do have dog water bowls out too! The other difference is that dogs are also welcomed inside! I told this when I received my order and I was chatting with the two employees at the counter. I wished I had gotten their names but they were so inviting and kind. That was another difference, I got service as I feel like that is very lacking at the Puyallup location. Bit of an odd situation with the self pour/card/app but we figured it out eventually. We got a couple of beers, a sandwich and the loaded tots. Dogs are not only welcome, they are LOVED here! Yes you have to sit outside with them, but they have their own menu, bowls, and it's a great concept. Pour your own drinks, order the food online, and get Fido something too! We met here with a toddler, a dog, and four adults. Everything was easy and smooth, and the food came out quickly. They got the pretzel and loaded tots with three sauces, and we got the pizza/salad lunch combo and a chicken sandwich, and a side of fries. Everything that was fried was crispy and crunchy, and honestly, you had me at Tots. The fries were good, but compared to tots...yeah. The fried chicken sandwich was delicious and I'm glad I got it. We could have done without the pizza, which tasted kind of cardboardy and frozen but there was luckily enough other stuff that we didn't go hungry. Came back on a Thursday evening for my mother in law's birthday and we were surprised to see there is karaoke! Apparently every Thursday they have a karaoke session going until 30 minutes before close! It wasnt packed, but the place was half full. New selection as usual with cider, wine, and IPAs. Pizza honestly, i feel improved since the last time I visited. Crisp crust with a generous stacking of cheese and other condiments. The beer choices tend IPA heavy but are always some pilsners, a sour and cider and few wines. Each has a per ounce price point. So sample and choose your libation. Food is QR code. Sent here on recommendation of the gal at the vintage shop down the street. We didn't discuss or think about the fact that it was trivia night. It was crowded and noisy (as you'd expect for trivia night). You order using a QR code. Food was decent. This place has a u-pour beer system so I guess we shouldn't be shocked that they weren't paying as close attention to the soda fountain, which was out of syrup for at least two of the flavors. I saw on the calendar that they have drag bingo a few nights a month, and I probably would have no complaints if we were there on one of those nights. All in all, it was a fine meal. read more

We can't say enough how accommodating and helpful Travis and his team were in helping us host ours wedding rehearsal dinner for 50+ family and friends! We had guests from all over the US and world congregate here for GREAT food and fun! Travis had all the food ready to roll buffet style for the hungry bridal party. The guests raved about the pretzel bites, the pizzas, cheesy bread - my wife and I loved the Italian salad. It's just salad - right?! But it was really tasty and hit the spot. All the guests could choose and serve their own beverages throughout the evening (various beers, ciders, and wines) and the meal was topped off with some decadent chocolate chip cookies and doughnut holes. Tacoma's premier spot for the U-Pour It experience! This is such a cool spot! Great place to watch a game (football was on when I went), hang out with friends/family/a date, or even to work remote! Wifi was nice and quick while I was here and working. The staff is super nice and ready to help you through the U-Pour It concept if needed. You're given a pour card which you slip into the desired drink slot, and pull the tap, and pour! It charges by the ounce which is cool because you can either do a full pint, or do a flight of different beverages. They've got kombuchas, ciders, seltzers, wines, beers... Something for everyone! The food is also good too. The menu has a ton of options which made it hard for me because I'm super indecisive when it comes to food - my eyes are also bigger than my stomach, so when I'm alone I have to be sure to order something I can eat more than a quarter of. I went with the cheese quesadilla which has black beans & tomatoes inside (nixed the tomatoes). It was great and I was able to eat the whole thing! Great addition to Tacoma. Kid friendly! Came for the Yelp elite event! The whole pour card concept is awesome! I love that you can try whatever beer you want & pretty much however much you want of it, all at your own will. They have a great variety on tap. Tried the sour, the Marionberry cider, the stout & the cream ale. I was impressed by all of them. None of the pours were to foamy either. They have a great food selection as well. I got the pretzel which was bigger than my face. It was very tasty, came out of fresh. The cheese sauce & the spicy ground mustard both paired well with it. The Redd Dog left me ecstatic at every turn. It's a really cool concept, and seems like the future of pub dining in a lot of ways. It's almost entirely self-service, allowing the entire dining area to be sufficiently covered by one person. There's a wall of draft pulls with screens above them, QR codes on the tables from which you order food, and a bussing station to clean up your mess. When you check in, you get a card that tracks your drinks by the ounce. You're invited to be adventurous - there are plentiful pint glasses and flights, so you can try every single drink they have. They serve beer, wine, cider, and kombucha, so there's something for everyone. The screens above the pulls are interactive, and you can read about each drink before you try it. We were given a full tour by the enthusiastic host and then left to our own devices. There are board games and card games, and little chalk pens to label your flight tray. It was slow despite being a game night, and our food came out almost immediately. The fries were amazing - lightly breaded, piping hot, and served with a delectable aioli sauce. I was wary of the Otis pizza when it came out. The pictures look like a much fluffier crust, and what we were served was a crispy thin-crust pizza. However, one bite made my eyes roll back in my head. It was incredible. I don't know how they packed so much luscious flavor into such a low profile. 10/10, I will be back to try their other pizzas. The Club Redd was pretty good, and the potato chips (usually a poor excuse for a side) were also housemade and solid. Overall, cool restaurant, great fast service, and delicious food. Will DEFINITELY be back. Probably a lot. 3 complaints: 1. the omnipresence of loud and overwhelming TVs. I'd really like to come here and write while occasionally pouring myself a beer, but the TVs make that impractical. 2. The price. Maybe we're just dealing with inflation, but the food seemed about $2 too expensive. 3. The drink card and the food resulted in two separate bills. I'd love to be able to put them both on one, maybe using a QR code on the card or something. (And also 4. because Redd wasn't there when we were! It's a pour yourself affair with hard seltzer, hard kombucha, ales, beers, and wines. Plus, they have small taster glasses and flite trays so you can build your own sampler. Slight detour. We did order two of the pizzas: The Carnivore and the Rad Dog. Crispy thin crusts with generous toppings. Both were great accompaniments to the drinks. The tomato base on the Carnivore was light and flavorful and the pesto on the Rad dog was very good. Ok, back on track. There's a good selection of choices for drinks including lots of locals (not sure if they're changed out). We saw this place a few weeks ago and decided to try it out. It's a bit of an odd concept, you get a card and pour your own beer and pay by the ounce. This is all good but if you do the math, a 16 oz pour is $8-10. They had plenty of beers on tap but they were all mediocre except the peach cider was good. This, of course, will change as they rotate kegs out. I think I just hit a bad week. I wish there was some value to pouring your own but The Red Hot is about the same price and they actually bring it to you. This feels similar to ringing out your own groceries. The food is kind of the same, you have to order from an app, no table service. My son got the fried chicken sandwich and it was pretty dry. My wife got the burger, it would have been nice if you could order medium rare, it was done and wasn't bad but wasn't good. They did have gluten free buns and vegan cheese for my wife's dietary restrictions which was nice. I got the pork tacos (1/2 off on Tuesday) and they were pretty awful. The pork has some flavor but the cheese and the greenery they put on the top overwhelmed any flavor. They were heavy, not light like a small taco should be. The house made chips were good on the burger plate but on the fried chicken plate they were over done and tasted of old oil. I am not sure how they were different but they were. The girl up front was very nice and accommodating. All on all, odd concept and we won't be back. Food was expensive especially for the lack of quality and the beers are expensive and you have to self serve. It seems this concept is to save money on employees but if there isn't a value or savings because of this, why go here? Terrible food, just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

One of my favorite places I've discovered in Tacoma. It's always fun to pour your own drinks and get to try as much or as little of something as you want. Self-serving is also fun because you don't have to wait for someone to fetch your stuff! They have all sorts of games here and tables are big enough for you to enjoy them as you drink/eat. We have yet to order food, but we have tried almost their entire drink collection and there isn't much we don't like. This is a pour yourself pub. You essentially start a tab with the host, they hand you a card and you use that card to keep track of your pours & the money you've spent. If you've been to pour yourself pubs in the past, this is the exact same system as most. Parking: street side parking unless picking up. If picking up they have stalls on the side of the building. Hours of operation: They do not follow along with hours listed on their doors so be cautious!! The first time we attempted to go was on a Friday night and arrived at 825. Their door listed closing time as "10ish". When we arrived the host was on his cell phone and didn't even acknowledge us until other patrons told us they already did last call and were getting ready to close. Such a bummer. We decided to try the following week and made sure to arrive much earlier. Beer: Good variety of beers. I've listed the styles that's were available when we went. Loved that they had holy mountain beer available! This is a Great War to try different beers without committing to full pints. Food: Average bar food. We had a pizza & Mac cheese which was nothing overly impressive or "wow". Probably would eat beforehand if we did return. Service: this is a pour yourself & clean up after yourself place which means there really isn't much "service" involved. When you're done eating/drinking you buss your own table and take the dishes to racks/bins in the back. Overall, I'm still unsure if we'll return. If we do, it'll strictly be for beer only and probably earlier in the day so we don't run into issues with their odd closing hours. Horrible experience at Redd Dog last night. It's a pour-your-own place. They get your CC up front then give you cards to track the amount and type of beverages you pour. We had our whole family with us. My wife was trying to sort out how the cards work, do we share cards, etc. The cashier was really rude and snarky with her, and remained that way during our stay. We just drank one beverage and left. When we settled up, the cashier told my wife that we were banned and to never come back. So happy to oblige. 6th street is full of great places. 1st time at this bar, and came with family. My mom's husband was really interested when he saw that there was kombucha on tap which they both liked! He liked the Pilsner as well as the other beers throughout the night. My mom really enjoyed the ciders, primarily the Marionberry, and the Cab Sav as well as Raspberry ale offered. System is pretty simple: load a card, place the card below the screen, and pour how much you'd like to consume! Each beverage has its own rate, you can view how much is left on the card and how many ounces you poured on the screen. The establishment is small, but hostess was super helpful and friendly. There's also a shuffleboard and other games for those who want to do more than just sip and chat. Redd Dogg also serves food, which all looked pretty tasty! The Redd Dog is a fantastic spot for any beer lover out there and the whole experience is much better than in a traditional bar. For one, you never have to wait in lines for your next drink here (since you are your own bartender) and two, you get to pour and pay by the ounce, so you can, quite literally, try them all to find your favorite (without having to be stuck with a FULL glass of something you wouldn't like - a typical problem for me in traditional bars). I love this place! Their PourMyBeer wall is on point with a ton of local craft beers and also some wines for those that don't like beers as much as I do, haha. As for the atmosphere, it is super chill and laid back. The staff is awesome too, super friendly and the whole concept is built around their mascot which is their dog, named of course, wait for it - Redd! Wow, The Redd Dog is so great! What a cool space...spacious and inviting. They have beers, ciders, seltzers, and wines on tap. Lots of fun games and free popcorn. Redd Dog is a self service taphouse for beer, wine and cider. I've only come across one of these one other time way back in Wyoming with less beverage options to pick from. I did say this to the wait staff and was told that this kind of concept just got legalized in Washington state so that could mean more of these in the future. How it works is you give the hostess your debit or credit card in which they authorize it then they give you an in house card that you place in front of the tap handles to pour your drink. If that sounds confusing the staff here are great at showing you how it all works. Most of the beverages are in Washington or the Pacific Northwest so you are getting something local or relatively so. I wanted lighter beers so I got several pilsners from the selection. Unfortunately the last two times I ordered the cheesy bread it only had cheese on half of three pieces of the whole bread. For paying $3 extra ($12 for cheesy bread vs. $9 for regular breadsticks) I would expect cheese to cover at least the entire center of the bread.
