The first time I came was a much better experience... we should have taken the heath department rating of "okay" into thought more. Self serve pay by the ounce is good in theory, but it is a bit on the more expensive side. The place wasn't busy and the tables were clean. The food is a little more on the spendier side, to upgrade from chips to fries it's $5. I ordered the pizza and it was fine, not bad. My friend got the fish and chips and said the fish was odd and mushy and didn't finish it. She ended up sick that night and calling out of work the next day. We've stopped by twice so far and for the most part it has been the same consistent service, food and ambiance. We've only come here with our dogs so not sure how different the experience is when you just dine in inside as you have to sit outside when you bring your dogs. However, they have large hanging parasols and outside heaters (have to ask an employee to turn it on) so you can enjoy coming by any time which I appreciate as some restaurants only allow dogs during the summer. Once you find a spot to sit at, there is a number on the table which you use to order online to have food brought out for you. They have quite a variety for food and have menus for kids and dogs too! Additionally, they do have complimentary popcorn that you can go and get yourself with plenty of different salt toppings. You also get your own water and can get a water bowl and water for your dogs too. They usually have a rock and alternative playlist playing at a decent volume where you can hold a conversation. Service is non-existent for the most part as you only see them when they bring an order but so far the interactions we've had with employees are professional and friendly. We have had the Wings and drummies (black truffle), plant based burger, and Carnivore pizza so far. The food is just decent pub food. Our Carnivore pizza barely had any smoked ham (see provided picture) unfortunately. Our fur babies have had the cluck, cluck and TV dinner so far and they absolutely enjoy their food. Our boy especially leaves no crumbs or leftovers for both his plate and his sister's plate. I definitely want them to try the dog beer and other items on the dog menu. They have good daily specials, lunch specials ($15 for a personal pizza and choice of Caesar or garden salad), and more. Food portions were great and tasty. I love that they have a doggie menu and that the patio has ample seating that is dog friendly. It was really convenient that the bench/picnic table that we sat at had a leash hook for the dogs, im not sure if all the tables have them though. I also really liked the u-pour taps since I love getting drink flights and I could make my own instead of having multiple full size drinks. The only negative i have to say is that although they are open until 9, the online food ordering (which you order from a QR code on the table) stops at 8pm. We weren't aware of this and tried to place our meal orders at 8:02pm. But the employee took our order and still put it in for us since we had been there before that cut off time and had already placed appetizer orders. Recently here for a group thing and really enjoyed it. I have been to their other location in tacoma and this space is bigger and overall more comfortable. The fact that you can pour your own flight is awesome. They have a great selection of drinks. No, not just beer on tap; wine, cider, soda, etc. We tried several of their pizzas. The rad dog was great and thought was my favorite but then I tried hickory bbq chicken. That's my favorite. I love pizzas with sauce other than red and these two met that mark. Me and my fiancé were very excited for Red Dogg to open up right near us! The atmosphere is lively and fun. They have good drink selections and good food. Our only complaint is the customer service. When we first went back in February the service was amazing and the employees were attentive. However in March we visited twice. On a Sunday and on a Saturday. When we went on Sunday it was pretty busy and we order wings and tots. They say it'll only take 30 minutes to get our food but we only got our wings. So after 45 minutes of waiting for our tots I went up front to ask how much longer, and the lady told me they'd be up any time now. We waited another 15 minutes until it was an hour now waiting for these tots so I asked a server passing by if she happened to know how much longer it'd be. She informed me that she'd have to put the order in now (even though we already paid and ordered it) and that it'd be another 10 minutes of waiting. We kindly asked to just take it off the check since we had been waiting so long already. Fast forward the following week on Saturday we invited friends with us since we really like the place. When you walk in there's a sign that says they service cocktails and to ask about it. So me and a friend did. The lady up front knew nothing about it and when we asked what cocktails they have she said they only have the hard liquor behind her and we can purchase a canned drink from their fridge to make a cocktail? Weird but okay. Well the girl was new so we didn't hold it against her and asked another worker. Which she then told us they have a peach mojito on tap -- which was also a cider, not hard liquor, but whatever. Anyways when we went to go check out we had gotten a case of dog treats and we asked for a single treat in the jar by the register, and it seemed like self serve once you pay. So my fiancé grabbed a treat and the worker very rudely said "well next time don't do that and I will take it out with tongs". Like okay? Take it out when we ask for it then? So weird. I was really looking forward to checking out Redd Dog while visiting a friend, especially since we had a pup with us and heard great things about the patio. Unfortunately, the experience left a bad taste in our mouths before we even ordered. I went to order a drink, and the server refused to serve me alcohol because they didn't believe my Arizona license was real. It is real, Arizona licenses famously don't expire until you are 65. It's a well-known fact, and frankly, it's disappointing that the staff (including the manager) wasn't aware of that. I get needing to check IDs, but when you're confident yours is valid and get treated like you're trying to pull something shady, it's frustrating and embarrassing, especially as a guest in town. We ended up cutting our visit short. It's a shame because the place looked fun, but the lack of knowledge and poor handling of the situation ruined the vibe. The staff were friendly helpful and responsive. Come to find out this is the second restaurant in the area which is exciting this concept is spreading. On to the pizza, well it's pretty damn good I got to taste a variety of them and they hit the mark, I think my favorite tonight was the spicy Hawaiian they were all tasty and well priced. As soon as I stepped inside the restaurant, a friendly woman welcomed me with a smile and provided instructions on how to use my card for the drinks on tap. The place had a great variety of beers, ciders, and a few kinds of wine. The Margarita on tap was decent. Despite being busy, the restaurant was spotless. I must say that the pizza I had was one of the best I've tasted in a while. The crust was soft and buttery, and the waitress, Adury, was very friendly and informed me that the crust is freshly made every day, so it's never soggy. Stopped in to check out the new addition to the Village. Wasn't exactly sure what to expect walking in. I had checked out the website prior to coming but it wasn't really clear how things work. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess (I'll use that term because there really isn't traditional staff here, more on that in a minute) who gave us a quick rundown, told us we could sit anywhere and directed us to the QR code on the table to order food. Luckily my wife had brought her phone because I had left mine at home. It was supposed to be our "date night" out and I don't like phones getting in the way of that. So to hear that I was forced to use a phone just to get food had me reconsidering our choice of dining establishment right away. I noticed that the bulk of the seating is communal style, with only a couple booths over against the wall. Again, "date night", I wasn't looking to sit with a bunch of people I don't know. It was frustrating to find that every booth needed cleaned, so I ended up basically bussing my own table to clean off the food scraps and drink puddles the previous guest had left on the table. Frustrating. Next up, it took us a bit to locate the QR code because it was indeed NOT on the table. It was located on the condiment holder, which the previous guest had chosen to turn around backwards. Since we were not immediately looking for it on the condiment holder, it took us a bit to find. Frustrating. My wife and I don't drink, so we found it frustrating that the only drink options were on the "You-Pour-It" wall, even if we just wanted a soda. So you're paying premium beer prices for a Sprite. And I get it, you're gonna say "Why TH did you go to a bar then?" Because we wanted to try the food. But it was frustrating to have to pay premium beer prices just for a soda, and there was no tea option or anything like that, just the beer wall. Also, I enjoy a good N/A beer. But there were no N/A choices at all. I probably would not have bene as frustrated if I could have poured my own N/A beer. There's tons of N/A choices out there these days, even from craft breweries. Why not offer one or two for those of us who don't drink? Frustrating. Another frustration was the fact that we had to provide a credit card for a drink card to pour our own drinks. So we had to enter a credit card on the website to order food, and then separately provide a credit card for the you-pour-it drink thing. Why is it we had to provide a credit card twice? Why can't you figure out how to tie the whole thing to a single transaction? It's bad enough we had to provide our credit card info over a phone browser, which we all know is "super secure". But then we need to provide the credit card info again just to get a drink? That's frustrating. Okay, let's finally get to the food. We ordered a lot of sharable stuff. My wife loves pretzels and beer cheese, so we ordered that. We also got the loaded tots and the Mac-N-Cheese. Basically just a lot of pub food, we didn't even try actual sandwiches or burgers or anything like that. Everything was good, we enjoyed the food. My wife gets pretty critical on beer cheese, because most of them are just Sysco provided microwave cheese. But this one actually tasted good. So the food is propping this review up pretty heavy here. I'll finish with the staff. Aside from being greeted when we walked in, there's basically zero interaction with the staff here. I ordered my food on a phone through a web browser. I poured my own drink. And I bussed my own table. I even had to go find a staff member to get a to-go box for our leftovers, because since they never come check on your table how would they ever know you need a to-go box? So I'm not sure why I was prompted with a default suggestion of a 27% tip when paying my bill. Yes, there were other options for tipping, but it defaulted to 27%. What in God's green Earth are these people actually doing to deserve a 27% tip if I'm literally doing all the work? That was seriously frustrating. I don't know if we'll be coming back here. For the two of us, who don't drink, to have an evening out together it was close to $100 by the time we paid for food and drinks. Those prices are just insane for what we experienced. We could have gone next door to Trapper's and had some pretty fancy Sushi for that price... and had wait staff taking care of us... and refills on tea. Frustrating. read more

However, we really liked the pizza anyway and would order again as we enjoy pizza and wings. The buffalo wings were so delicious. Perfectly cooked and served with blue cheese sauce and carrots and celery. It would be hard to not order the wings on our next visit! I poured a flight of cider for myself, and my husband got a flight of IPA. We both enjoyed the selection and tastes. The Schilling Moon Berries was my fav. We ordered a chicken sandwich that wasn't fully cooked. The chicken was clearly frozen and deep fried, but not long enough. We also ordered a burger that looked like a frozen patty. Not sure how it was prepared, but it was overcooked. $19 burgers should not be sketchy. The space is just okay. Service was fine.
