This is a good restaurant. The HORDES of people showing up on a Sunday could NOT be wrong. It really IS a good restaurant with delicious food. Unfortunately, our particular waitress was not feeling the vibe. It's a cool diner that's been open forever, with a giant menu, and to me, it should have that (and mostly does) cozy, homey, folksy, route 66 vibe. TBH, it didn't have it as much as I had expected, which is FINE, but the waitress DEF was not feeling much of anything. She was slow, she never asked us if we liked the food, if we needed anything (besides coffee which actually she just poured w/o asking until I moved the cup out of arm's reach), never asked if we wanted anything else (we did - we had to ask for the dessert menu ourselves), and so on. She wasn't mean or anything. She was just kind of phoning it in. The folks at the door were very cheerful and could give some lessons to the person that served us. As for the food, everything we got was delicious. We tried some unusual lunch items, a milkshake, and dessert, and all were top notch. The restaurant is fairly large, and even with the constant arrival of patrons they got everyone seated quickly. There is also a semi-separate lounge section on the other end. It's easily reached off I-5 or off the Pacific Highway, and the prices are reasonable as well.

Came here for breakfast on a Monday morning and it was sooooo busy. That kind of surprised me. But the service was great! Even though we had a big party, they were still prepared for us. Didn't take long to have our orders taken nor get our food. The strawberry French toast looked like a breakfast lovers masterpiece. I could see my kids eyes light up when it came to the table. 10/10 And my Turkey Supreme was excellent! 9/10! The avocado and crispy bacon were perfect. Just wish it was a tad bigger for the price. We will definitely be returning for drinks next time we are in town.

My husband and LOVE the pup room, their bar. Staff is incredibly kind and attentive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. You will not be disappointed

I have had my wish granted! I finally had a breakfast at the Poodle Dog! It was a late anniversary gift from my husband. This breakfast was fit for a princess. The Pancakes were dinner plate sizes. I had to share my breakfast. I did split it into breakfast and lunch. I was still able to share it with my husband and son. The fruit and whip was plenty for all pancakes. The eggs were so good! And everything was packaged so nice. It felt like room service. Poodle Dog: I thank you for your service! You will be getting a visit from me in person soon! I love breakfast at different times of day and it is a place that I will keep in mind when I crave breakfast for dinner! As I am writing this review, I am finishing up the pancakes for lunch. This is a lot of food for a low price. Usually I get less food at other places but this was literally like visiting family for breakfast and they make sure you are full! Go to Poodle Dog ! They will definitely make you your tummy is full.

One of my family's favorite breakfast spots. On the weekends it can get noticeably busy after 9am, so I highly suggest coming early if you have a ground larger than 4, since most of their seating is 4 person booth style! My favorite thing to order is the country fried steak with pancakes and eggs. Consistent tastes and satisfaction. Other mentionable favorites from the family are their biscuits and gravy, and loaded Idaho pancakes (hashbrowns).

I used to work nearby the Poodle Dog and regularly had lunch there. After retirement, those visits ended. But I missed the Dog and being in the area on an early Sunday meant a stop. Breakfast is a benchmark for me. Do that well and everything is done well. I had great and prompt service. My eggs over easy were done just right. Not too soft nor over cooked. The hashbrowns were crispy and not greasy. Just right! Side bar - watching the Pup Room fill up in anticipation of a Seahawks road game was great people watching (my real fondness for the Poodle Dog)

Dined here and bought a whole banana cream pie for $19.00 plus tax. When I got home, I discovered that: 1 There were no banana slices, just a thin layer of banana pudding. 2There was no pie crust. Graham cracker crumbles were at the bottom of the pan. But they didn't use butter to form a crust and it was not baked. 3There was a bunch of cream covering up this sorry excuse for a pie

Stepping into Poodle Dog feels like stepping into a time capsule--in the best way possible. This place serves up comfort food with zero pretense and all the nostalgic charm. The Monte Cristo was a dream: crisp on the outside, melty ham and cheese on the inside, with a side of jam that brought it all together. The BLTA? Loaded, crunchy bacon, fresh everything, and stacked high. We also grabbed the French toast--thick-cut and buttery with just the right amount of syrup soak. For the little one, the kids' chicken and fries were a hit, and the restaurant gets major points for offering crayons and coloring paper--kept our toddler entertained and happy while we sipped coffee in peace. Service was warm and fast, portions were generous, and there's something really comforting about a place that hasn't tried to reinvent the wheel. We'll definitely be back when we're passing through Fife. This old-school diner is still doing it right.

Love this restaurant that has been here for decades. Comfort food served up right! There's something on the menu for just about everyone

Excellent coffee. Kept my mug full and hot.

Fun classic diner experience. Poodle Dog is adorable. 50's retro spin. Stopped in for an impromptu breakfast and was greeted and seated quickly. Offered a varied menu with some classic fare. Coffee was good. I am very picky about coffee and this was good stuff. Ordered the chicken strips and waffles. Juicy chicken and waffles were tasty. Just wish a bit crisper. Will go again to try more things. Maybe buy their swag!

Have been wanting to try them for a while now but they are normally pretty busy when I try. Went shortly after opening on a Sunday morning. It is bright and clean with about 30 tables and booths. Was greeted warmly and seated quickly. Settled on the Landmark Breakfast as it gave a decent variety. Was served quickly and it looked picture perfect. Lots of food. Thick bacon was flavorful. Golden hash browns. Fluffy eggs. All was cooked well. I brought the ham and half of the rest home. I thought the pup room might be for kids but it is an AM & PM happy hour bar. Didn't get any of the large bakery goodies in the case but they all looked wonderfully delicious. The server/drink station was well organized and clean as well.

A bartender who knows her customers and who makes a mean Manhattan. Hello Pup Room!

This review is for the bar side only: We walked in and were ignored. Don't bother visiting if you're not a male regular. It's sad too. This used to be a favorite spot for us. The ambiance in the bar is upscale and completely different than the diner side restaurant, but when servers completely ignore you, there's no point in visiting again. We were regulars (at least once or twice a month visitors) because we loved the service and friendliness of a bartender/waitress there named Mel. They must've let her go, because the service has definitely gone downhill.

I will address two concerns I had first and then get to the good stuff. My only marks on negative side of the ledger may only apply to a few folks. The on street parking on MLK Way can be tough to find and there is lots of local traffic including Sound Transit street train. We got very lucky and found two spots just three businesses down. My second concern is the metal chairs used for dining are not a good fit for my 3x body, and can be uncomfortable rather quickly. Most regular folks will have no problems. All of the menu items which is why you come to Three Hearts were absolutely fabulous. We enjoyed some pastries, muffins, croissants and coffee before getting to our breakfast choices. The breakfast sandwiches, savory Dutch baby, quiche all received high marks. The service was friendly and quick even though they were busy and cook things fresh when you order. Check out their menu for the unique combinations of ingredients and variety of dishes. This is a place you really need to put on your bucket list!

While we sat we decided we would order, we couldn't find menus and kept waiting for a waiter, then someone finally told us ,after we asked , that we had to order in front! I ordered a BLT on a GF bread, I had to pay $2 more for gluten free! I expected a large sandwich for the price, like most the restaurants we've eaten at have been, but this sandwich was small, like a tiny one made at home! The bacon was burnt to a crisp and black, and the bread was super dry, the whole sandwich was dry and tasteless and a disappointment. Honestly, I was a little overwhelmed at first because there are multiple menus and so many choices. I ended up keeping it simple and ordered a spicy Hawaiian pizza. It was good -- I wasn't a huge fan of the barbecue sauce as the base, but I did like that it actually had some heat. The jalapeños still had the seeds, which gave it a nice kick. I also grabbed a strawberry cupcake, which was delicious and a really good size for only $3. I didn't even get a photo because I scarfed it down immediately -- no regrets. Turns out it's the former, at least in atmosphere. The service was genuinely lovely from start to finish. The host, server, and table assistants were warm and attentive. No notes there. We went with the ribeye prix fixe, which felt like the obvious call given that Ms. Jane's has built its reputation around it. The menu included a salad, two ribeyes with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and dessert for $150 plus wine. The salad was beautiful and delicious. It just could've used some cheese, and I will die on that hill. The mashed potatoes were legitimately outstanding and nearly redeemed the entire evening on their own. The broccoli was fine. Broccoli is always just fine. Then there were the ribeyes. They were enormous, beautifully presented, and unfortunately not much else. Both cuts had an excessive amount of fat and lacked the depth of flavor you'd expect from a restaurant that's staked its identity on this one dish. We make better steaks at home, which is not something you want to be thinking about after dropping $150 before wine. Dessert closed things out on a high note. A chocolate and vanilla mousse topped with genuinely delicate whipped cream. In the moment we told ourselves we'd come back and try something else. A few days of reflection later, that enthusiasm cooled but it didn't disappear entirely. The service was too good, the mashed potatoes too memorable, and the mousse too solid to write the place off completely. Ms. Jane's clearly has something going on. We just hope the ribeye isn't the thing they're most proud of.
