Township 20 is a great local spot in Sumner for a cold beer, a delicious bite, and friendly service. Not only are servers tentative to guests but they are tentative to your furry friends too! Dogs are welcome to sit on the patio, enjoy a dish on their dog friendly menu, and they even take your dogs picture to include in on their Polaroid wall. Such a cute concept and a perk for our pups! Beer flights were reasonable and the burger we tried was simply superb. Looking forward to stopping in to Township 20 on another sunny day soon. Especially before summer is over! read more

Cute ambiance. You kind of take a seat anywhere. You order through a QR code. While we were doing that, someone brought out water and it asked if we were OK with ordering through the QR code. We kind of just did mostly everything through our phone and only really interacted with staff when we received food or drinks. It was kind of a different set up but strangely convenient. The food was ok... I got the pretzels and cheese which I liked. The wings were meh, didn't really like the breading on them... the burger dip wasn't m6 jam, but my husband liked it. This is a little hidden local gem that is family and dog friendly. You enter in the deck side where all the walls are covered with Polaroids of dogs. There wasn't a lot of seating so the staff pulled two tables together for us. It was very easy to order with the QR codes provided in the tabletop. The food items came out according to their readiness. The pita and hummus were absolutely delicious. The pita was fried and seasoned. The hummus was smooth as butter. The loaded fries were pretty good. The beer cheese added a savory twist that didn't weigh down the dish. The bacon and green onion added some contrasting texture. The teriyaki house bowl was very hearty, with a nice balance of sweet and savory. Overall I was quite pleased with our experience. Came here with my 2 year old on a nice hot sunny day. The fan they have on their patio was nice and wasn't too strong so napkins were blowing all over the place. TV was playing sports so I do plan to come here with family and friends when football is back! There isn't necessarily a server to take your order but the QR code in the middle of the table was convenient for ordering and check out. As a cider lover I recommend the blueberry cider, loved how it tasted with the loaded PBJ sandwich. I hope in the future they have more food options! read more

First time here. Another restaurant that you place the order on your phone, so you rarely see the waitress. 25 min to get chips and queso to the table. Which o had to find the waitress and ask if my chips and queso were ready. It had been ready as I got it the queso had a hard layer on top. $3 soda with no refills. (Can). If you order a burger, it Dosent come with fries. Fries are an extra $3. Took 45 min to get our food. The burgers are 5 oz, they look like a bid slider. Dinner for 3 people with 3 sodas, $80. We saw our waitress 1 time, when she brought the food out. Never came back one time to see if we needed refills or anything else. I would never go back to this place again. read more

This was a pretty good lunch. My friend got the Sumner and said it was good, but had a little too much jam for her liking. I got the Veggie Bliss Bowl with vegan chicken. All the ingredients were great, but it was really lacking seasoning. We split some hummus and I got a side of fries (my weakness). Both were really tasty. This hidden gem at the 4-way road intersection is a must visit and many more returns. It's pet friendly, self service seating and the menu is a QR code scan. Their fries are out-of-this world w/green dry flakes of some herb hit the spot. I've been here a couple of times now and I love their setup. Scan the QR code, order your food and drinks and it will come out. It saves a lot of time and small talk awkwardness with the waitress. They have comfortable seats and a patio with a TV and there is a little bit of people watching/car watching downtown Sumner. Great beers on tap! My first visit to this establishment and it definitely won't be my last :0) Food Appetizers - Korean BBQ Wings were okay. Not delighted by those. Pretzels could use a better melted cheese choice. Pear arugula flatbread - very tasty. Decent range of beers, wines, ciders. I personally liked the Ghost Fish Grapefruit IPA (which didn't last very long and I didn't get a second draft!) My favorite this visit? Root beer float with root beer that is on tap! Service Whole other world. New thing is QR Code ordering. You scan the QR code on the table, no login req'd & they deliver the order to your table (QR code is table specific). I love this personally. It would be even cooler if we could go to a tap on a wall, grab a clean glass & fill them up charged to the table. Ambiance DOG FRIENDLY!!! Love the open air of this place. So happy we got to try Township 20!! We have been waiting for it to open. As you see on their website and social media, the owners bought and renovated the old Teriyaki House in Sumner and it is now a sleek new restaurant and gathering space. They offer 20 tap beverages and delicious menu items like appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, bowls, sweet treats, and a kids menu. We were happy to see several local drinks on the tap list. There are gluten free and non-alcoholic options too, so there is truly something for everyone! When you sit down, you scan a QR code that takes you directly to the menu to place a digital order. You can keep your tab open or close it out conveniently from your phone. I did not ask about alternative methods of ordering but know the staff were very kind and checked on us frequently to make sure we knew what to do and served us water. Township 20 is dog friendly and we got to see several cute pups. The patio is heated and seating was comfortable on a May evening. We placed our order and everything was delivered to our table very quickly, within 10-15 minutes! We enjoyed the crispy yet fluffy naan and veggies with hummus. I am still thinking about how tasty the hummus was, and wish I could get the recipe. I would buy it in larger quantities if I could, it was that good! We also enjoyed the Sumner grilled sandwich and agreed adding chicken was a great choice. The drinks were refreshing. We can't wait to return soon to try more of the taps and food! It takes a lot for me to write a review. I really wanted to like this local place. Unfortunately if I ever return it would be for take out only but NOT likely. If you gonna have a QR code then at least tell your staff to come over if new customers & let the guests know hey you order here we just bring food & beverages when that's done otherwise we leave you alone in the corner & ignore you. After sitting for a while it looked to me like server came over took order. I had to go up & ask him. Then I find out he can take order or just use app I said come on over then still took a while to come over so started online order then came over. Then he proceeded to miss my order completely among my family. I should've left then! We were frustrated! (My daughter's birthday only reason I stayed.) Not a very busy Tuesday night but between the ignoring & not helping the food took a long time. Burgers were good. Sandwich ok. Fries good. There's plenty of other local places I would go for the same food with a better experience of not being ignored. Please just make this restaurant a takeout establishment in the future not worth going inside to be ignored to be treated like a takeout order anyway. So they recently opened in Sumner WA. and we decided to check it out. They have inside and outside dining, lots of seating and you can use the QR Code to sit at your table and order. Convenient yes but to new customers a little confusing. The server was very helpful and he offered to just take the order himself. Very good service by the way. The choices are a good selection of things and you can bet you will find something you will enjoy. The food is delicious and service was attentive and very good. The location has a drawback with parking as street parking is limited and don't park next door to the right but rather park in the public parking behind and to the left of the restaurant. Parking is free for 2-3 hours I believe. This is a good place to sit, relax, have an adult beverage, good food and service in Sumner. read more

I'd like to sincerely let the older gentleman--likely the owner--know that during the rainy season, it would be best to avoid smoking in the alley near the patio entrance. With the cold breeze and rain, the cigarette smoke gets drawn into the patio, especially when the plastic drapes are closed, leaving only the three-foot-wide entrance open. My wife pointed out that if guests can smell cigarette smoke while dining, it wouldn't feel very family-friendly. As for the food, it seems the younger generation--Gen Z or Alpha--still has some room to refine their craft. That said, the beer was excellent--thanks to the Greek and Roman gods for that. read more

I really wanted to love this place. It was a busy evening, so this may just be a one off experience. We ordered at 7:27, got our drinks immediately, and then the waiting started. After 30 minutes we asked to have our food packed to go when it was ready so that we could take it home because the weather was getting bad. Our food finally started to come out at 8:10, but it was just the fries. 5 minutes later we got one of our entrees, and the second entree took another ten minutes. The food: fries were delicious (so were the sauces), veggie bowl was very sweet (I added soy sauce at home that helped), and the teriyaki bowl wa very dry (I'm not sure if they just forgot to add the sauce, we added some at home). I just visited for the first time and was not disappointed! I tried a couple of different cocktails (spicy margarita and pink drink) and both were great; quality alcohol pours, great flavors and beautiful garnishes. I had a couple of happy hour apps just to try some food here. I started with the loaded fries, which were great! Personally, I think they need something sweet (maybe caramelized onions or a tomato balsamic reduction?) to complement the savory flavors, but they were well portioned and had good flavor! I also had the Fig and Pear Flatbread, and I would pass on this next time. The flatbread was dry and too crispy, and the flavor profile was confusing. The goat cheese/balsamic reduction/arugula were fine, but fresh pears would have probably helped with the incomplete flavor profile. The inside also looked awesome--small, but cozy and aesthetically pleasing. The service is not like your typical bar/restaurant, and for us we quite prefer the QR code/Toast method. I wish more restaurants would get on board with it, honestly. Staff did check in with us to see if we had any questions, ask if we needed anything, etc. beyond opening/closing our own tabs and placing our order. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the food. We weren't expecting perfection, given the newness of the establishment, so I'm hoping in time it will improve. The prices seem quite steep for what you get. $18+ for a sandwich and a side. We shared the French Dip and it was okay, but then we paid the additional $2 for the sweet potato waffle fries and they were quite a letdown. The traditional fries looked awesome from what we could see from others' dishes, and we hoped the sweet potato fries would be just as good. Instead, they were fried crispy, but almost too crispy? They were tough & chewy, and overall bland. Not worth the upgrade in our opinion. First of all we didn't get water and all the other tables did. I ordered a spicy burger that came with caramelized onions and fried jalapeños. I did ask if they could substitute a chicken breast for the burger. I was told I think so. When I got my sandwich, I did get a chicken breast but the onions were raw and I thought the jalapeños would be fried and on the sandwich and instead it was half of a grilled jalapeño attached by a tooth pick to the top of the sandwich. When it came time to pay, I asked if I had to pay with my phone and she said no. She then showed me the total bill and took my card and ran it. No receipt of itemized food and drinks, just a request for a tip. I have no clue what I paid for each item, for the substitution or the drinks. Our second time in, food was good but the automated ordering system means nobody pays any attention to your table nor takes responsibility for your service. They were busy tonight so I cut them a little slack. My beer came quickly, but after nearly an hour of waiting for our food, it became clear it wasn't coming, nor was anyone noticing. I had to go find a server, who subsequently discovered the kitchen had missed the order on their computerized system. No offer to make it right, nor even a goodbye when we left. If you know prior to going that everything is ordered/paid for off a QR code, then it's really not a big deal. We went on a Monday evening and the service was quick and pleasant. We ordered the Sumner sandwich and Korean BBQ wings which we thought were great. Definitely recommend sitting outside when you go, it's covered and they also have heaters outside. read more
