I got to come here for breakfast while I was visiting my family in the PNW. It is a fantastic diner with ample seating, beautiful views and yummy food. I got Dad's Omelet with hash browns and sourdough toast. Wow, was it yummy. Our server was friendly and attentive to make sure our drinks stayed full. If you are in the area, I definitely recommend coming here for breakfast. Hopefully, next time I can come here for lunch.

First off don't ask for directions to this diner through Yelp! It's wrong! Nice menu for breakfast and lunch. Omelette was delish! Friendly efficient waitress.

After what I believe to have been 2 years of saying that, that day has finally come. First, parking near the restaurant was limited, however finding parking in the residential area was fine. We found parking about 2 minutes away from the restaurant. As we came with my best friend, who, by the way, was the reason why I finally stepped foot here, wait time wasn't long as she came about 5 minutes earlier than I. We came for brunch and it was busy but the wait was not bad at all. The both of us ordered the same items on the menu from both the drinks, the main and dessert - a sangria, Shakshuka with lamb, and beignets. We also brought our daughters with us. They ordered a cheeseburger with a side of caesar salad and a mac n cheese dish from the kids menu. Our orders were delicious, although I was expecting the shakshuka dish to be heftier. For the price - $17. xx with an additional $4 to add lamb - it was a little disappointing, to be honest, especially since it was lacking in the lamb department. I was still hungry but thankfully I had my 4 year old's leftover cheeseburger and salad to fill me right up. As for the beignets, it was good. I don't have anything to compare it to since I don't know what an actual beignet tastes like. Would I return? Sure.

No reservation, so we ended up at the bar -- worth noting that the regular seating, despite it being a large space, gets booked up fast so plan ahead if you're coming with a group or prefer a table. The atmosphere more than made up for it though -- really well put together decor, dimly lit but somehow still vibrant and lively. Service was good, nothing over the top. Drinks were really good. The burger was a standout -- loved the caramelized onions. The burrata appetizer rolls were also excellent, highly recommend those. The veggie pizza was decent -- the dough was great but the toppings were a bit bland. Asked for red chili flakes which helped, but it could use a bit more flavor out of the gate. Solid stop if you're passing through Tacoma and not feeling seafood. Worth going out of your way for.

I also really like being able to choose my own table--I know this would be impossible at a busy restaurant, but this was so dead we could, so go here Sunday at about 3! All the tables are very pretty and looked comfortable. I prefer the comfort and privacy of booths (which they have a few), but the friend with whom I was dining needs tall chairs, so we opted for that. The cocktails were AMAZING, and the hummus plate was more than enough for lunch. So delicious. It came with warmed triangles even though the menu didn't mention them! Yum, yum, yum!!! From the comfortable…read moreenvironment, great-tasting food, and its STELLAR Employees, this place is a perfect place to enjoy a night out or to celebrate a birthday (which was the reason we were there tonight.) I reserved a table (for a large party of 9) conveniently on Open Table which made the process easy and effortless two days prior to our reservation. On the day of our reservation I received a call from a very friendly staff member Jace (forgive my spelling if it's incorrect) who confirmed our reservation and also asked if we had kids in our party because of the age restriction for the outside seating. I thought that was very considerate of him to do so as he was being proactive and courteous at the same time! When I checked in, I immediately was greeted by Jace who was beyond welcoming in person as he was on the phone. He guided us to our table and made us all feel welcome. We then were presented with our hardworking and endearing Server Kat who was so patient with all of us, was proactive in setting up plates for our Birthday cake (we had brought with us - as we were granted with permission by the restaurant). Throughout our experience, Kat took care of our needs, fulfilled our delicious food orders with accuracy, and the other hardworking Server Ethan also ensured our drinks were filled. Seriously, the Employees are what made our celebratory Birthday even more special!! And also, our the wonderful Manager Brandon made sure we were all taken care of and even personally said goodbye as he walked with us out the door! We only live down the street from this restaurant as my husband and I have lived in Washington for about three years. But rest assure we will be coming back again and again because of the great food but more importantly of the Employees - Jace, Kat, Ethan, and Brandon....and the rest of the Restaurant!

I digress. The dirty chai was unique though and tasty. The stars for us was the food! We got the huevos rancheros and the savory egg sandwich. Both were delicious! Best HR we've ever had probably due to the crema and red sauce. Egg sandwich had unique flavors with the onion jam and the toasted roll was so perfect with the egg and arugula. Very well balanced. I usually never eat all the bread bc not worth the carbs but couldn't resist finishing this masterpiece. All the pastries were very good too! Just needed an option to warm up the orange cardamom morning bun to make it warm and crispy but the flavors were amazing. Also loved the brown butter blueberry muffin. Only disappointment was the ube ginger muffin wasnt fully cooked - tasted great for the parts that were. Wish we had one near us on east coast!
