We swung by for a late night shake and ordered three: two coffee and a chocolate banana. We normally love their shakes and was excited to try the coffee. The chocolate banana was amazing, as always, but one coffee shake was slightly sweet and very bitter. The other coffee shake was undrinkable! It was super bitter and tasted horrible. My stomach was upset after only a few drinks of it. I don't know what caused this one to taste so bad but I would not recommend it. I won't be back for a shake anytime soon. read more

Wow, I mean seriously WOW. Where do I begin. I asked for a bacon cheeseburger with bbq sauce and mayo on the side. I noticed my order was taking a long time but I know how busy they could be so I gave them some grace. It wasn't till 20 minutes I finally decided to go up to the counter to find out they haven't even made my burger. Frisco freeze is still the best burger joint I've had personally but 5guys is local and has multiple locations so is more convenient for anyone who wants a quick burger that's not (my opinion of "fast food") and doesn't have time to make it themselves or sit down and eat at a full menu restaurant. Do not expect this place to be quiet, they play loud and upbeat music and have boxes of peanuts near the door along with bags of potatoes. The burgers and fries are ALWAYS delicious every time. I never had their milkshakes before and I've been eating here for years, but let me just say that was the best milkshake I've ever had! Five Guys is my fast food choice when I'm willing to eat a million calories. They have a solid burger that has layers of flavor. I recommend ordering the "little bacon cheese burger, all the way." In my opinion, it's not little at all, and since it only has one patty, you get a well balanced flavors. When you go with more than one patty, the meat takes over, not making it balanced flavor wise. The servings at Five Guys are are big... for example... if you order a large fry, they'll fill up the fry container and add an additional large scoop of fries to the bag. The fries are fried in peanut oil, you'll want to avoid this if you have any allergies. If you don't, it's pretty good! Went here with my husband today. First time here and first time ever hearing about it. Real glad we went. I'm not a picky person so I enjoyed the atmosphere. The line was to the door but we had no problem with the service as the line ran smoothly and the lady who took our order was real nice. It is indeed a crowded place. If you have children, for your sake I would order to go and not even bother bringing them in to order with you. Just sayin'.... I came here to try something as close to In-N-Out Burgers (Cali folks know what's up(:...) however, its not even the same...in a good way. I don't understand why I have the worst luck at any 5 guys I go to! My order is always wrong! I stopped going to the Federal Way location after they made my order incorrectly multiple times. I was passing through Puyallup this last week and was excited to see a 5 guys. I decided to stop in on the way home and get burgers for my family of 4! The staff was decent. No complaints there. However, when I took my $45.00 order home and my family sat down to eat our 4 burgers we all discovered none of our burgers had condiments I had ordered on them (ketchup, mayo, A1, etc). The receipt attached to my bag clearly had the condiments listed on the burger. When you charge almost $10 for a burger I would truly expect you to make the order correctly. First, I love Five Guys because I can eat their fries and not get sick (100% gluten free fryers) and...they are completely yummy! I had, for the first time ever, a hamburger patty w cheese and grilled mushrooms and LOVED it. I'm not a big ground beef fan, but this was really yummy and I didn't even miss the bun. They keep my order separate and make it easy to eat by putting it in a container vs a wrapper. The staff there are always so polite and friendly too.
