First time visiting the location in Puyallup. Location is terrible and the parking lot is a total clusterf*ck. The food was good though...Five Guys is one of the better chains around and I'm glad they finally have them in Washington state. I really like the burger patties they use...they taste super fresh. They also need some of the those Coke Freestyle Machines like they have at the Lakewood Location. I doubt I'd make a special trip to eat at this location in the future. read more

Stopped by with son for lunch. Each got a single burger with condiments, large fry and large fountain drinks I had lettuce, tomatoes, onions, jalapeno as well as mustard and ketchup. Burgers were great. Fries were great. Fountain drinks were ok. read more

My estimated time on FIVE GUYS application is consistently late on either pickup or delivery at this location. Normally this doesn't bother me, because I enjoy the food, so I don't mind waiting. Today I decided to order via delivery for the first time. Estimated delivery time was scheduled at 5:15pm, my order was actually delivered at 5:50pm. I called Five Guys at 5:30 and they had not finished preparing my order, they had no idea that the order was for delivery and told me to come pick it up. Upon further prying into how their system worked someone had clued the manager that it was in fact a delivery order. I understand that it can get very busy, but at the same time customers should be informed by any delays, especially ones that are more than 15minutes. Wonderful Burgers making there way to the West Coast. (I think they started out in Virginia) Very Cool New/Retro style place. All kinds of condiments can be added to Excellent burgers. Very Generous portions of fries (Cooked in Peanut oil), as well as Coke products being served. They also serve Grilled Cheese sandwiches, Veggie Sandwiches & Hot Dogs. Nice Atmosphere, Peanuts while you wait....... May need to run a Shop-Vac once in awhile for all the peanut shells (Broom doesn't seem to cut it) Checkered decorations all around. Lots of reviews for "Five Guys" all over the US, displayed on the walls. Cool idea to have blank postcards for kids/adults to draw on and post on a bulletin board. Tried Five Guys last night. Went shopping at Freddie's and decided to try Five Guys and take it home for dinner. First off the prices are kind of high so I was hopeful the quality would be there. All and all it was Meh for me. Chocolate and the Peanut Butter shakes were good, nothing outstanding, normal shake. Fries were killer...yum The burgers tho....big soggy ball that looked like it might have resembled a hamburger at one time. I watched them make the burgers and they looked delicious..stacked high with fresh toppings..but when I got home...and reached in to the bag..and found those foil balls and unwrapped them to see a soggy bread mess..well it was sad. $5-7 burgers and they are wrapped in foil? Get a box or a sleeve...the foil sealed in the heat and steam so the bread was now just a sad soggy mess...it did not hold up well at all. Well maybe that means it's a messy goodness right? ....no it wasn't. It was just messy okay-ness. I'd go back for the fries tho read more

You want peanuts? Plenty of those here! I recommend ordering the smaller portion fries, as they give you LOTS of fries! The most I've seen given by a burger joint! The burgers here are decent- very messy though so would recommend having napkins, they also do have the freestyle Coke machine now which is good as the old machines dont offer much for those that dont like Coke. Overall, the service here though IMO is slow and could be improved on. read more

Best damn burgers in town. Nothing like a juicy, sloppy, stacked burger. I can fill myself with their awesome burger and not feel sick or guilty afterwards. The fries are amazing but Im usually too full to eat them after my burger. They don't skimp on fries either, they usually give me way too much when I do order them but damn if they weren't so delicious. Wife loves the soda machine where she can brew together any combination of brands and flavors like some type of Cola Witch. I've been to many Five Guys in Oregon and Washington, and while I enjoy the burgers, I really only go there because "In n Out Burger" isn't available. I've noticed that parking is usually a challenge. I like the peanuts and the unlimited toppings. The peanut oil they cook with is more healthy but, the french fries are not very good. P.s. The kids took a trip to Dallas recently guess what they brought home? ..... In n Out Burger !!!!! This was a real treat ! Maybe the other places are different, but these guys did not cook me the "big juicy burger" their signs brag about. Instead, I got two flat, fried patties on a cheap, gummy bun. The patties were bland and unseasoned. This was the first time I've ever sprinkled salt on a burger that was already cooked. The "grilled onions" I ordered were chopped so small I could hardly taste them. The fries were good, but I've had better. If it was just me, I would give two stars; the third star is for my husband, who really likes this place. read more

I got a large fry and a medium fry with 2 burgers. They didn't even fill up the cups of fries. At other Five guys they fill them up and dump in a bunch of extra. Not this one. I paid $12 for fries and I get more in a medium fry at other locations. I won't go back to this one. read more

This used to be an alright burger joint. My last few times here the service has been spotty at best. Customer service is sorely lacking. The employees seem to be going through the motions, no smiles or personality. The general attitude seems to be that they're doing you a favor by taking your order and making your burger. The burgers used to be decent, but the quality of the food here at this location has dramatically dropped. I had a regular order of fries along with a bacon cheeseburger. They get your fries and hand you the order. Second, the soda selection is great; both dispensers offer various beverages to try out. Third, the burgers are messy. Order more toppings, it will be less manageable. Pretty simple if you ask me. No, it's not a BK or McDs kind of place. Five Guys is my favorite. I used to live next door to one and when I learned there was going to be one sort of near where I live I was pretty excited... 1. Regular burgers are served with 2 patties. Little burgers are served with 1 patty 2. The regular size fries is enough to feed 2 people. The large can feed 4. They are fresh cut so if you're used to certain fries being flash frozen then reheated, these will probably taste funny to you. I think they are great. I'm pretty sure the ONLY use peanut oil in the restaurant, I think I read somebody say they were surprised they didn't cook their fries in peanut oil - I'm pretty sure they do, LOL 3. Ambience is loud, red and white. It gets busy, I like to take my burger to go. 4. The burgers are juicy so if you don't eat them relatively soon, the buns can get soggy. 5. They aren't as cheap as say a McDonalds, but I feel like they make up for it in quality. 6. Parking can be an issue - there aren't a lot of places to park right in the little plaza, there is more parking towards the Fred Meyer though. Good burgres, good times!!! read more

They finally brought a Five Guys to the South Sound, and we got it here in Puyallup. For those looking for it, it's in the old Hollywood Video. Just as good as everyone has said it was. Burgers are awesome, so juicy, so big and full of flavor. You can custom make your burger anyway you want. Now these burgers are big. Fries are good. They use fried from local farmers. Check the white board when you go in, and it says what farm there from that day. Trust me when I say the small fries can feed two people. Wife and I shared the fries and had two seperate burgers and two sodas, and it was perfect amount. There are different size burgers, when you order a burger they automatically assume you mean the biggest burger. There is a double patty and a single patty, so be careful. Also they have hot dogs and grilled cheese for the kids. And don't forget the Peanuts before the meal. Very busy, but it just opened, but they move along very fast through theline. But they have great serivce, and explain everything to first timers very well. Only downside..... They have no shakes. What burger joint doesn't have shakes, Mcdonalds has shakes. Only down fall. This is a burger joint from a parallel peanut universe. Hundreds of bags of peanuts stacked virtually to the ceiling with shells scattered all over the floor. I was shell-shocked. All you germaphobes, be forewarned. Those with peanut allergies better not even venture close to downtown Puyallup now. Plus, they use peanut oil for their french fries. I'm suprised they don't have a peanut encrusted burger and use peanut butter as a standard condiment. They surely do make a decent burger, though. And they don't skimp on anything but the ho-hum bun. Don't bother to phone in your order. You'll get your food faster if you just show up and then order. I called and placed an order at 12:45. They said the order would be ready in 15 minutes. I got there at 1pm and they hadn't even started on my order yet. At 1:19pm, I finally got my burger ( I didn't order any fries , so they can't use that sorry excuse). I only get 30 minutes for lunch, so it's a good thing I'm not at work today or I'd have been forced to leave with no lunch! After all the hype of this place, me thinks not! So I love the free peanuts - I'm a sucker for roasted peanuts. But the Burger well, here I go. I order a burger, not a cheese burger at first because 5 Guys says that they cook them to a juicy well done. I've never found a Burger well done to be juicy. I ask the order taker if I can have mine medium and she informs me that they only do them well done. So I tell her to make my a cheese burger instead. How was it? I'll tell you later. Okay, drink, fries, cheese burger all ordered. I'm sitting there reading all the quotes from newspapers and I'm thinking to myself can 5 Guys beat In-N-Out? Order is up and I go and get it. Fries, okay but not crisp, more like wilted like English fries but that's okay. Burger - first bite - dry. Tastes like an over cooked cheap patty of meat that some 6'2 350 pound cook leaned on it and squished all the juice out. No salt or pepper on the meat when they cook it just meat and peanut oil on a grill. Bun, doughy. Perhaps toasted or made firm up would be better but it was like not a bun, but like soft white bread. Overall... Service:1 (Because I couldn't get my burger done the way I wanted!) Food: 2 (Dry, dry, no taste) Value:1 (But since I got free peanuts we'll give them a 2) BTW, 1 Bacon Cheese Burger, 1 Fri, 1 Double Cheese Burger and two drinks almost $30! Oh, hell yeah. Hot & fresh burgers and fries, lots of toppings, free peanuts... Most of the 5 Guys menu is in the name: Burgers & Fries. They also serve fountain drinks and hot dogs, but that's about it-- no onion rings, chicken nuggets, milkshakes, etc... but damn, they do the burgers & fries right! A 'regular' burger is a double; the 'little' burger has a single patty. There is a long list of toppings to choose from, bacon and cheese are the only ones that cost extra. It takes a while for the food to be prepared since every burger is made to order and so far every time I've been to a Five Guys it's been really busy (the free peanuts in the dining room make a nice appetizer, though). The fries are so fresh that they were whole potatoes just minutes before being handed to you in a greasy paper bag, and they taste like it! They're even better with the Cajun seasoning, in my opinion. The dining room is a simple fast food no-frills affair; no outdoor outdoor seating at this location. Even though they've been PACKED each time I've been here so far the line moves pretty quickly and it hasn't taken more than about 10-15 minutes for the order to come out. read more

FINALLY!!! YES!!!! I made it here:) Wooo, hoooo......... I can actually say that all the "hoopla" of this place really isn't just that! Fortunately, it wasn't too crowded when we pulled up, I have seen the lines this place can have and we were able to have just enough time to scan the menu. Luckily my friends schooled me on the difference between a little burger and a burger and forewarned me about the massive size of the fries as well. Between the 3 us we shared the cajun fry and had more than enough each. I ordered the little cheeseburger with the works and it was GOOD:) I would say they are better than Red Robin's, so homemade tasting and juicy, all your condiments can barely stay on the burger. Went out of my way to go here rather than federal way since federal way reviews are pretty negative. Figured I'd take the risk with some of the reviews mentioning not getting the amount of fries that you pay for. Asked the main guy what size the large was and he said it was a full cup and then a scoop in the bag. For five bucks I'm not sure why they need to cheap out on the fries. You get a cup and maybe five fries tossed in the bag. Pretty big rip off for the price tag of a burger and fries here. There is barely any Cajun power on the fries. Not sure if just employees that don't care of it management and or ownership is out of touch with their own location. I will not be going out of my way for this location again. Thick, natural cut ...so superior to the awful air filled puffies so many places serve. The service I chipper, the kitchen clean and open. Pretty solid operation. The burgers are good, the service not so good. I tried to order on the iPhone app which was a mess. It kept freezing on my order, ended up adding 3 extra sandwiches to my order. Then once I removed them and proceeded to checkout, entering all my credit card information, the order wouldn't go though. It gave me an error message that this location didn't support orders from the app. So I called the order in on the phone, jumped in the car and headed down to pick it up. They stated 10 minutes so we waited in the car for a few minutes... Walked inside to a not busy restaurant.... And the lady at the register who took our phone order had forgotten to ring it in! She was very apologetic, but too late at that point for me. She gave us free drinks and rushed our order. The burgers tasted good, but not happy about the service. read more
