Wait time was pretty long for a Thursday around 1pm but the Oliver burger was really tasty- minus mayo, pickles and onions. There was some salty taste I think came from the burger but the rest was very tasty. I was super impressed how unsalted the fries were and they were cooked perfectly. Salty fries can ruin a meal and hours later you're drinking from a fire hose to manage the salty aftermath. Not these fries- they were crispy, golden, crunchy and not salty. My only issue was how long it took to get the food at 1pm on a Thursday- it was over 30 minutes. read more

I drove over 25 minutes each way from Puyallup to Edgewood to try Oliver's sandwiches. I made sure to check the hours online, and it stated it was open! After arriving, the restaurant was closed and there was a sign on the door stating the restaurant would be closed July 26th through August 29th (seen below). Which would be no problem at all, except today is July 6th (20 days prior to advertised closing day) and the website says open! Please update the website so as to not waste peoples time! read more

Still pissed about the Attitude and resolution to a simple issue.When the customer say's (Bacon on the side) just what does that mean ? The answer as I stated previously given by the owner,(just take the bacon off ).I won't cross threshold threshold again. I thought I didn't like sandwiches. I have been in here twice and if I could make sandwiches this good I would eat them all the time. Very very good. I had the basic turkey and some kind of combo with a blue cheese / horsey sauce and OMG. They are going to be closed basically for the month of August 2026 for a family vacation. Was driving to visit my son and thought "ohhhh gotta stop at that great sandwich place again". Glad I did, got the Rocket and it was my bad for not inquiring what the horsey sauce was, but now I know it is horseradish sauce and it is not my favorite. The sandwich was great and I got fries too, which were really good. They had a lot of takeout orders and it did take awhile to get food. Staff was friendly and very nice! read more

We decided to order from Door dash, the app said an hour which was fine with us. However, the driver waited for almost 90 minutes for them to make two sandwiches. Seriously. My hubs ordered the Gladiator which was huge, tons of filling and on a really thick roll. He said it was good but too much bread. I ordered a turkey, cranberry and cream cheese with tomato. Should have been amazing but there was one small slice of turkey and that was it and way too much bread for the sandwich. The taste was good, but took way too long to make, 90 minutes even on a busy evening when we ordered ahead is just wrong and I felt badly for the driver who just had to stand there. Then mine with minimal filling was disappointing. Way too much bread, they should either make the sandwiches on smaller rolls or give you an option to have bread instead. We won't be going back. read more

I ordered the Oliver Special sandwich and saw a few reviews mentioning too much bread on their sandwiches, so I opted for sliced wheat instead. Paired it with a cup of chili--both were solid choices! At first, I thought the sandwich was a bit sweet because of the honey mustard, but after a few bites, I realized it balanced perfectly with the onions. The chili was tasty, though I do wish the serving size was a little bigger for the price. Still, no complaints about the flavor! This place was BUSY when I went, which makes sense--it was peak lunch hour. That's always a good sign, though! I placed my order, then walked around the Dollar Tree for about 30 minutes before coming back. Next time, I'll try to avoid the noon rush, but I'll definitely return. read more

Been seeing reviews raving about this place so I ordered their philly cheesesteak for delivery. I got chipotle sauce on the side and I didn't really like it but their philly was very juicy and I loved the mushrooms on it. Super super cheesy! I'm not sure how long this place has been here, but I am no stranger to the area. I've been to several of the restaurants on this block as well as shopped at local stores. I heard about Oliver's after doing a local sandwich search. A friend was raving about a place near Auburn, but as it turned out, the place he was recommending ended up being a different spot. That said, Oliver's had an impressive menu, prices also appeared to be reasonable and last, reviews were overwhelmingly positive. This place appeared to be family run, and the proprietor appeared to be Oliver, which is actually the name of the sandwich I selected. Now, this is where the wheels came off the cart for me. Most sandwich shops and certainly the smart ones make the sandwich with you, I like that, because if I want more tomatoes, onion or mayo, I can correct that in real time. Not here, she just asked if everything was ok and I said yes. I like a cold deli sub, so when it came toasted, I wasn't pleased. I didn't see anywhere where that was advertised, but since the place appeared to have possibly been a Quiznos at one time, I should have guessed. No complaints on the amount of toppings, but I would have asked for more mayo, had I actually seen the sandwich been made. Last, and seriously one reason I chose the Oliver, it came with sprouts, and I love sprouts on a sub, however, there wasn't a single sprout on my sandwich, and again, noting was said to explain this. I don't know if this is the case, but I was at a bagel place several years back and asked for sprouts on my sandwich and they told me the health Department banned Sprouts from sandwich shops, I think it had something to do with an E-coli outbreak. Again, this was like 7 years back, so worth case scenario, your menu should be updated, or you should advise sprouts aren't available and allow a vegie substitution. To the point, I'd chose Jersey Mikes over this any day, however if this place was in my neighborhood, I'd try them again. The menu was so rich, it's possible I would have liked another sandwich better. No problem with the people, but the sandwich didn't blow me away. I could have made a better sandwich myself after stopping at any grocers deli counter. read more

This place was recommend to us and we were excited to try it. Very disappointed on the sandwiches. I ordered the Hot Pastrami and my Husband had the Roast Beef with Au jus. First of all there was more bread then meat and the photos show it. The meat had great taste but the bread was very dry and not worth $25 for 2 -8" subs. We would rather go to Subway. We won't be back and we won't recommend Oliver's. read more

I was out running errands and didn't want fast food but I wanted food fast. Lol I remember seeing Olivers when I would shop at Safeway. I looked up the reviews, liked what I saw and ventured in the establishment. It was busy but the lady that made my Turkey Bacon Avocado was very nice. Took my order and it was ready shortly afterwards. I didn't get to eat it right away but it was AMAZING. I think the honey mustard dressing just made a difference or something. I highly recommend this place and that sandwich. Going back to try others. read more

These reviews are extremely misleading. I went to Oliver's today and I got an over priced sandwich + FOOD POISONING!!! Why has no one mentioned how filthy this business is ?! The walls have thick layers of dust on them, the floors haven't been mopped in who knows how long. They have some deodorizer to cover up the stench (my clothes smelt like it after being there for 10 mins). Nothing was covered on the sandwich bar. Sauces were not refrigerated, and the toppings weren't either. The trash was overflowing. Everything was sooooo filthy!!! Absolutely disgusting. They're lucky they're not in King County. The health department would shut this business down so fast. The owners/employees were so rude and do not appreciate the customer, nor the business. I truly made a mistake by visiting this place today. I should have never ate here, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else doing so either... read more

This is the best sandwich shop hands down! We explored a large menu of unique sandwiches, with items for every palette, from meat eater to vegetarian. We had the Harasser on bread and the veggie on a wrap (with mushroom and avocado). The amount of product on the sandwich is enormous and the taste is wonderful. This review is for a delivery experience that I had today! Oliver's Sandwiches has been on my radar for a long time - not because of the stellar reviews or the mouthwatering photos... But because my son's name is Oliver. I mean, come on. It was a must try for me! Ordering for delivery was very easy and I was blown away at the selection. Such a large menu with options for everyone! I ended up wanting to try the Spicy Turkey Wrap, sans tomatoes. The food was delivered quickly and the order was correct - I can't tell you how many times I've asked for no tomatoes on something and STILL get them (gross). From first glance I could tell right away how fresh the veggies were - the romaine and avocado were perfect! So good! The spicy sauce was okay, nothing to write home about. But it did add a nice kick in conjunction with the pepperoncinis. I was expecting it to have a bit more depth to it, but it was still good. Another fact worth noting is that Oliver's Sandwiches is incredibly affordable for the quality and quantity of food that you get. Definitely a solid option for lunch or dinner. I'll definitely be giving Oliver's another try - the menu is way too impressive not to, and their grilled cheese sandwiches look out of this world. That's probably next with an in-person visit! read more

Matthew and Jennifer Nguyen decided to start something new in 2008. They had relocated from Philadelphia and took over an existing sandwich shop which they named after their 4 months old son at the time, Oliver. Thus the birth of Oliver's Sandwiches was completed. Hard work, perseverance, and faith transformed Oliver's into a favorite lunch hot spot in the local area. The basil and bean sprouts and other automatics are so fresh and crispy and crunchy The noodles are cooked to al dente perfection every time. The meat is a high-quality and is served properly, being cooked by the broth at the table. I'll probably eaten pho at 30 different restaurants around Washington State...mainly in Spokane and the Federal Way /Tacoma / Auburn / Kent / Tukwila / Seattle areas and this is the best.

The Clorox smell isn't as potent, and extra love that they serve veggie broth. Service is ok, they sit you down fast and take your order and you pay at the register. It does get busy at times

I put in a simple order for my son & I. My son's pho & side of rice came out within 10-15 minutes. I waited for our spring rolls & my vermicelli bowl well after my son had started eating. I asked about my food just before 7pm to which I was told it was still being worked on. I paid my tab then asked a short time later that I'd like the remaining food to go. At 7:15pm I went up to the register to request a refund for the items I never received. I was asked if I had paid my bill (by the same young lady that took my payment). I handed her my receipt & she informed me that my food had been ready. It's unclear why, it was never brought out. I had told her that we had been waiting for an extended period of time to which she agreed. I pointed out that another two person table, that arrived after us, had been served their food before us. The young lady plainly told me that it was out of her control since there were new people in the back. No apology just an excuse. No one took responsibility for the disorganization in the back. I again requested a refund only to hear that she didn't know how to do a refund. I'm the end, I was given the cash for the two items minus the taxes. I've been to this establishment in the past & never have I experienced this type of situation. Hopefully, it was just a one off because they have excellent food. For now, I have no desire to return

I absolutely love coming here on my lunch breaks -- it's comforting, consistent, and always hits the spot. It looks like they may be going through a name change or rebrand. The menus are new and the name printed on them is completely different from what I remember. I wish I had taken a photo because I can't recall the new name offhand, but it seems like a change may be coming soon. I ordered from the new lunch menu and went with the red curry, subbing chicken for tofu and ordering it three-star spicy. It was so good -- rich, flavorful, and perfect for a cold, rainy day. The new lunch special also comes with two spring rolls, which were absolutely delicious and a great bonus. The portion was very filling and satisfying without being too heavy. As always, the service was great, and the food came out quickly -- perfect for a work lunch. I can't wait to come back (and I definitely will). This place continues to be a favorite.

This is me and my husbands 2nd time going there and we love how caring they are no matter how long our order takes. Moving down south from Seattle, I wanted to find a pho spot that could be my go to and this was the spot for me. The food was great, service was top tier, very mom and pop shop but more modern and I loved it. I probably go here multiple times in a month, sometimes a couple of times in a week especially when it's cold and rainy. However, I went there a few times recently and I was sad at how the service has been lately. I'm not sure if there's new hires as I haven't seen the same girls that usually work there in a long time...the more recent waiters seemed to not know what was available on their drinks menu and did not offer to go and check, our table was met with dumbfounded looks and no follow up. On one of the days, I had ordered my usual order, and was left waiting while all the other tables who entered and ordered after me were served immediately. I had put in my order around 7:15p and did not receive my food until 7:52p. I was not checked on until I had to get up from my table and go check on my order, then it was like I was getting checked on too many times. When I had asked what happened, the waiter told me they forgot, I'm not sure who dropped the ball there. I had asked if I was going to get a discount or get comped, something, and all I was told was, "it's not my decision." The staff seemed more interested in catering to a table with a family, it seemed like they may have known them personally as a member from the table continuously got up to talk to the staff and even walked back into the kitchen multiple times, and grabbing his own to go boxes. As much as I love this place, I will not be returning.

Tried this spot. It…read morewas ok. I prefer mayo/egg cream on my banh mi, they use pate here as a spread. It's not bad but there was too much of it for me. Last few bites had more as it seemed to collect towards the downward end of the sandwich as I ate it. Each bite got progressively worse for me. Personally, I prefer the banh mi from Hong Kong market in the same parking lot. I'll try it again and update here if I have a different opinion next time. It's always good to try a decent place at least twice, I find.

I had a couple who referred me to their favorite sandwich place. Decided to try as I am a foodie and always looking for great food. I called in and was confused as the person who answered saying Olivers, go ahead ??? Was confused then ordered my lunch. I got the Gladiator and fries. I liked the fries they were perfect. Hot and crispy. The sandwich bread was old and crusty, couldn't get my knife to easily cut through it, and my bacon was cold, thick burnt and unappetizing. Overall I was not impressed with the food. And the kitchen is not tidy, I looked at the condiments/veggies/meats and was not impressed. Doesn't look clean/ fresh. Just my opinion. A friend told me to stop in and have a sandwich and I'm reconsidering if this is my friend or an enemy. I had never been in even though I live in Milton. From the outside it looks like a real nice little sandwich shop and its located in the same center as the library. There were two people in front of me and it took me about fifteen minutes to put my order in and when I got to the counter the lady didn't even apologize for the delay or wait. I ordered the lobster sandwich which is a joke because its like calling a tuna sandwich a caviar sandwich. I've herd of imitation crab but this is imitation lobster and its not good at all. I'm not sure if I just ordered wrong but I don't want to take my chance and try again. read more

I had a couple who referred me to their fav sandwich shop. Decided to try since I'm always looking for a great place to eat. I ordered fries and the Gladiator. Fries were perfect. The sandwich had stale bread. And cold thick burnt unappetizing bacon. I was not impressed. Was too hard to eat. The place looked like Jersey Mike's in a way. Kitchen was not the cleanest. There was a long line and owners working. 3 people total, a customer was complaining on the time it's taking to get his food ready. Thank God I called mine in advance. And veggies options and meats did not look the freshest. I was not impressed and will not be returning. read more

I was hoping to find a place that I could go to besides the run of the mill sandwich shops like subway but after stopping and getting a sandwich and soup that's not the case at Oliver's. When I entered it look nice and tidy but there was a small boy running around in the kitchen that I didn't think was real professional. My soup that I had was cold and I could tell it was from a bag or a box (not home made like I thought a small shop would be). The sandwich and soup with a drink cost me over $15.00 so I didn't think that it was a good value and the meat didn't taste all that good. read more

If you haven't had an Oliver's Garlic Chicken Chibata (sp?), you are missing out!! Matthew makes the BEST Garlic Chicken Chibata sandwich EVER! Matthew and Jennifer are GREAT! Very friendly and they will accomidate you if you need something different on your sandwich. Do you like PHO? OMG! Their PHO is the BOMB!! I won't eat it anywhere else. I've tried it other places, but Oliver's is better the the best! Try the BBQ Pork sandwich too! I love it!!! Go eat at Olivers!! Wow. I love this place and order all the time but whoever I talked to was TERRIBLE. They open at 10:30 so I called at 10:20 to order a sandwich for pickup when they opened. The guy on the phone said "You want a sandwich right at 10:30 huh?" like it was SUCH an inconvenience for him. You don't talk to customers like that, dude! read more

Really good food. Great staff. Awesome experience. I heard about this place from a friend and tried it on a whim (we live in Tacoma so it was a bit of a drive). It was great. We've been back several times already. I've had the Turkey Bacon Avocado, Clubhouse and (I think it was called) The Colossus? All super good. read more

Very friendly! The owner works his own place which is refreshing. Great to see a small business (non chain restaurant) that has good food and lots of choices! The menu was huge and there were plenty of options for anyone. Great alternative to Subway or the like. Portions are big and fresh. read more
