This is a cute little cafe that's a great place to stop for lunch in the area. Service was fast, employees were all super friendly, and the food was very simple and well done. I had a breakfast burrito (it comes with two small burritos) which were great! Just nice simple ingredients done well with yummy salsa on the side. I also tasted my friend's egg salad sandwich, which was also great. My iced latte was solid. There's a nice variety of items here, sandwiches, soups, lunch, breakfast, etc. so there's something for everyone. Though I don't get out to Sumner very often, I'd definitely return here if I'm looking for a stop for lunch or a quick meal on the go. read more

This place has not only excellent food and outstanding service, but they also went above and beyond to accommodate our pug. We had to bring our pup to a specialty veterinarian nearby and stopped in afterward for breakfast and to get an oil change. We walked over from Sunset Chevrolet with our injured dog in a stroller, and the staff could not have been kinder. We ordered him scrambled eggs, and they surprised him with a bacon-topped pup cup. Several staff members even came out to our table to say hello and make him feel welcome. The food was fantastic. I ordered the HOBO, and it was absolutely delicious. My spouse had the pastrami sandwich, which was just as impressive. We sat outside - which is really nice - but the inside is super clean and very welcoming. The combination of exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and how they treated our dog made this an experience we'll remember. We'll definitely be making River's Edge Cafe a regular stop whenever we're in the area. read more

The Reuben as one of the very best I have ever had. The marble rye and shaved pastrami were phenomenal. I got to know where the bread is from!! My wife had the French Dip and she loved it. It was quick service, outside casual dining and the coffee is so good. I think a big of chips included would have been a nice touch. Highly recommend this place. Great for take out! read more

It's okay. It's in a very convenient place and the outside eating place is well set up, despite being right by traffic and being super loud. My mom and I could not have a conversation that didn't involve yelling, since they blast music in the enclosed space. Service was good, nice people working there, but my main gripe is their prices. I'm not sure why half a sandwich is $10+ and it does not come with chips or even a damn pickle. I want to support local but not when they have delusional prices. For a 24 oz iced coffee, a half sandwich and a full sandwich (which is literally 2 regular sized loaves of bread, mind you) we paid $64 plus tip. read more

Stopped by for breakfast on our way to the Old Cannery. We were greeted and seated immediately. The building is an open concept that is done well. The food was great, served in a reasonable amount of time. We also had the spicy bloody Mary's that were very good. This is a bit more upscale than normal and the prices reflect it. But, so does the service and attention to detail. Our server was fantastic! We really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for ages! I ordered online and picked it up. It was a smooth process and the gal working the window was sweet and repeated the order with my special requests. I ordered the Cuban (adding onions) and a Roast Beef deli type sandwich. It's too bad they don't come with anything ordering a whole sandwich (which run about $10-15). I thought they would have a variety of typical salads (pasta, slaw, mac etc) to offer but only saw potato salad on online menu. Ok about the sandwiches! They were both delicious! Happy to see they didn't skimp on the meat due to cost. The pulled pork on the Cuban had a mild smoked flavor which I thought was perfect, tender and all the components were flavorful. Hubby really enjoyed his roast beef/provolone saying it reminded him of a deli he loved in his teen years. He said next time he'd request cheddar to stand out more but overall pleased with it. We'd both order them again. I'm a soup lover, I noticed they offer one soup of the day so I'll ask about that next time. The drive through had a few cars waiting so I placed an order online, their system said our order would be ready in 30 minutes at 12:14. It wasn't ready and In total we waited 45 minutes in for 2 sandwiches and a side salad. We should have just joined the drive through line as it seems they prioritized the drive through customers... Had a Delicious grilled cheese ( toasted cheese ) sandwich and tasty tomato soup , and an egg salad sandwich to go . Nice place to sit. Good location, recommend eating here then walking around inside the Old Cannery furniture store. I would love to have seen a pasta salad option or two. Loaded and I mean they are not stingy with the meat in my sub. I had pork, turkey, cheese and mustard. Flavors worked well not too much but subtle. Our server was awesome she was friendly and was excited when we mentioned it was our first time so we were struggling to decide on what to get. Service didn't take too long. Definitely going back to try their breakfast menu and the rest of lunch. We shared the Turkey Cranberry, French Dip and the special which was a half of ham Sandwich and clam chowder. All sandwiches were average. Not bad but not great. The clam chowder was rough. Watery and no flavor. Prices were high for what you get. It is just a sandwich for the high price you are paying, not even chips or a pickle comes with the sandwich. They also have a lot of coffee options and beer. If your in a hurry you can swing through the drive through. This last time, I ordered the BBQ chicken wrap with ranch. I made it a meal and got some drip coffee and a bag of chips. The wrap was quite good and had a good balance of bbq and ranch. We also tried the soup of the day which hit the spot. Was at a nearby nursery for baskets, and decided to hit this Sumner cafe adjacent to the Cannery. Arrived 2 minutes before the lunch hour rush and ordered the Italian and French Dip. Both came fairly quickly considering 15 people just showed up behind us. The Italian had the usual complement of meats and cheeses but has a touch of pesto on my soft roll. I had it heated!!
