Pancake

In the area and found this little hole in the wall. Area looked a bit sketchy but drop in! Very old timey vibes. Could definitely use some upgrades with the furniture but don't let that deter you from ordering some of the best breakfast ever!! The staff were so friendly and welcoming! The food was served quickly and hot! The pancake I had was HUGE and so delicious! Their servings are big- FYI Price point was the best! If ever back in the state and area I'm coming back!!

First of all, I apologize for the late review (I ate here back in October). However, I haven't stopped thinking about this place and can't wait to go back after my holiday travels! Marcia's is a quaint, cozy, old-school diner and the vibes are unbeatable. If you want a hot cup of coffee and heaping portions of delicious food, this is the place to go! There were regulars at their usual spots, quiet chatter in every corner, and lots of vintage decor. The wait staff were all also very nice and accommodating. However, it isn't the best place for gluten/dairy free options, but you can always build your own breakfast with eggs, potatoes, and sausage (etc). I think I might try to make this a monthly breakfast spot because I NEED to try everything on the menu!

Well we came in twice this wk! Today I was hungry. Had me a breakfast Sammy. English muffin, sausage, egg n chz with fruit! Omg sooo good. I live the way when u say medium well egg that's exactly the way it comes. Yolky but not too runny for a Sammy. Hubby had Hawiian omelette

My time spent at Marcia's Silver Spoon was an amazing experience. From first entering, I was made to feel right at home. Everything was clean and the staff weren't flustered. A well-oiled machine! I ordered an omelet with country gravy, a side of toast, and hash browns. The food was AMAZING! Piping hot with that made from scratch taste! I will definitely be returning AND recommending!!

Meat lovers plate

A great little diner. We didn't have to wait to be seated, but there are 9 tables max, so I could see there being a line on a busy day. The highlight was definitely the service. Our server was so friendly and bubbly. Both my wife and I got the Meat lovers plate, which was great. Huge plate of ham, perfectly crispy bacon, and a pair of sausage. Eggs were pretty standard with a large portion of hashbrown on the sides ther were Just the right amount of crispy and fluffy. The main concern here is the pricing. I know several others have mentioned this already. But the pricing does feel a little steep given the location and type of food. I feel like I would've paid the same price for the same type food in the city.

Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs with the "loaded" hash browns (Bomb.com hashbrowns) and a buttermilk pancake.

First time in but have known about it for over a year. Absolutely delicious and will now be my favorite local breakfast hangout. The place was packed when I walked in and a wait was happening. Service was attentive but the one server spoke very loudly, which was rattling. The pancake was huge and the chicken fried steak was good but definitely did not look or tast freshly made. The loaded hash browns are life changing. Absolutely delicious. I could just eat a vat of those with an egg and call it day. I will definitely be back.

The Silver Spoon Scramble is a huge pile of hashbrowns mixed with scrambled eggs, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and ham.

We love to try new places and don't mind driving a distance to experience. This place was well worth it I knew the scramble was huge from pictures but they showed on plates. My husband loves chicken fried steak, yet I'm not a fan so we got both kinds (one with and one without). The waitress asked, "Are you sure, it's huge on a 13" x 9" platter". We didn't expect the platter was an actual 13" x 9" lasagna pan .. lol Yes, they are about $40 each, but look how huge. Absolutely amazing taste, wonderful customer service, and very nice small cafe environment. Well worth drive and we now have a ton of leftovers (bonus, I don't have to cook for next couple days)

Phenomenal. The ladies that work there are great. The good is really good. I sat at the counter and got served right away. Can't say enough about the service, it was excellent. I will definitely be back. Get the loaded hash browns... so good.

The food here is stupid good. Bring friends to share the ginormous amounts of gravy, pancakes, and ham. It is not for the faint of heart. Do not be on a diet and come here. But it is so worth the calories.

A cute greasy spoon diner located in the industrial side of Tacoma. There were only 2 waitstaff and they were attentive, friendly, and so hard working. We ordered a chicken fried steak omelet and a steak omelette and both were very delicious. The portions were humongous! The chicken fried steak omelet is exactly what it sounds. Generous amount of chicken fried steak pieces in an omelet and with a very generous amount of flavorful gravy that blanketed the amazing omelet. I think the bacon bits inside was a little too much but it was still a very tasty omelette. The steak omelette also had generous amount of meat and it was seasoned well. They also didnt skimp on the hashbrowns. They were fried perfectly and the middle part was soft and creamy. Yum! This would be in my brunch rotation if I lived closer. Btw, the website says cash only but I was able to pay via credit card.

Wow brekkie for two, half sizes with a fruit bowl (pork chop missing)

Does this restaurant offer vegan or gluten free options?

Some people do go here to eat vegan, gluten free or on a respective diet. Maybe as part of a party along for the ride. Not really having a choice where the driver is driving. So, I will see how diet friendly in a few.

Extra bonus points that it's in Proctor - my favourite stomping ground. I got there not too long after they opened and about half of the tables were already taken. I found a place at the bar and was quickly greeted. I didn't see a drink menu, so I figured a mimosa is the obvious choice. They also have apple and grapefruit juice so you can mix it up a bit! For breakfast I went with the Mediterranean Veggie Hash, which was excellent! Good ratios of all the ingredients and I will absolutely be eating another one! It seems like this is one of those places that you're going to want to get to early - by the time I was leaving it was a full house with no seating left!

Took everyone's drink order but mine. When she came back I asked if there were adult drinks. There are no drinks listed anywhere in the menu. When our food came I asked for butter.... butter never came. She checked on us 20 mins later and I just gave her my card. She came back with the credit card slip to sign and my copy. There was no itemized receipt so I dont know exactly what I paid for but I assume $134 for 5 people sounded about right I gave 4 stars cause the food made up for it... or atleast my dish did! French toast was nice and fluffy. The syrup tasted like a caramel/maple mix. Goodm but too sweet toward the end Blueberry pancakes were nice and fluffy 6oz steak and eggs was the winner. Your choice of bread. Comes with hasbrowns. The steak was cooked medium which was fine. The sauce on the steak is what got me. There was pesto, shredded cheese and some type of ketchup/may/ maybe Sriracha mix. But it was REALLY tasty. Southwest hash - great portion. Has brown postion was nice and crispy. They were very busy. It was father's day. So im sure it was just an off day with the service. Would definitely try again The only suggestion i would make would be to put the items that dont fit on the main plate, on a smaller plate. These tables have limited room. So giving each patron 2 large plates (one for french toast and an equally large plate for eggs and bacon) took up a lot of room on a 4 person table where you sat 5

From the comfortable…read moreenvironment, great-tasting food, and its STELLAR Employees, this place is a perfect place to enjoy a night out or to celebrate a birthday (which was the reason we were there tonight.) I reserved a table (for a large party of 9) conveniently on Open Table which made the process easy and effortless two days prior to our reservation. On the day of our reservation I received a call from a very friendly staff member Jace (forgive my spelling if it's incorrect) who confirmed our reservation and also asked if we had kids in our party because of the age restriction for the outside seating. I thought that was very considerate of him to do so as he was being proactive and courteous at the same time! When I checked in, I immediately was greeted by Jace who was beyond welcoming in person as he was on the phone. He guided us to our table and made us all feel welcome. We then were presented with our hardworking and endearing Server Kat who was so patient with all of us, was proactive in setting up plates for our Birthday cake (we had brought with us - as we were granted with permission by the restaurant). Throughout our experience, Kat took care of our needs, fulfilled our delicious food orders with accuracy, and the other hardworking Server Ethan also ensured our drinks were filled. Seriously, the Employees are what made our celebratory Birthday even more special!! And also, our the wonderful Manager Brandon made sure we were all taken care of and even personally said goodbye as he walked with us out the door! We only live down the street from this restaurant as my husband and I have lived in Washington for about three years. But rest assure we will be coming back again and again because of the great food but more importantly of the Employees - Jace, Kat, Ethan, and Brandon....and the rest of the Restaurant!

On our most recent visit we tried the nachos, and they were honestly the best nachos I've ever had. The cheese sauce is amazing- not some gross canned stuff. Dirty Oscar's Annex - Disappointing Experience on 6th Ave…read more We came in as a group of seven, and unfortunately the experience went downhill quickly. First, the service was poor and disorganized. One of my friends arrived early and ordered her drink, but it didn't arrive until after I had already received mine -- even after she asked twice. We also had to wait far too long for basic things like napkins and forks because we weren't given enough for everyone. The most frustrating part, however, was the automatic gratuity. At no point were we informed -- verbally or on the menu -- that parties of 6 or more are charged an automatic 20% gratuity. We only discovered it by carefully reviewing our checks. And to make matters worse, the so-called "20%" was not actually 20%. It came out to 24.1%. When we questioned it, the person who said she was the manager claimed "the computer does it automatically." We are a table full of teachers -- and the math was definitely not mathing. We understand and respect gratuity for large parties, especially when the service is great or when it's clearly communicated. But charging more than the stated percentage crosses from poor service into a billing integrity issue. To add to the frustration, there is also a credit card processing fee, which again was not clearly disclosed on the menu and only appeared at the bottom of the receipt. This absolutely should be visibly posted before ordering. They did offer to refund some of the charges, but we declined because it would have taken additional time and we had an event to get to -- and more importantly, it doesn't resolve the core issue of lack of transparency. She also gave each of us a $10 gift card, but again, that doesn't resolve the issue. And honestly, what good is a gift card if we don't plan on returning because of such an awful experience? Overall, this was a very disappointing visit, and not one we would recommend based on service and transparency alone.

Finally got a chance to try it at noon today, and it was a great experience! Environment: The overall vibe is very American. There were TVs on the walls constantly playing various ball games, like today's playoff game between the Thunder and the Lakers. It was pretty busy on the weekend, especially the outdoor seating area, which was almost full. The building is an old structure dating back to the 1900s. Though it shows its age, it's very clean both inside and out--you can tell the owner really cares. Service: Our waitress was very, very friendly and professional. She gave us great recommendations, always served with a smile, checked in on us during the meal, and refilled our water. Very satisfied! Taste: Pizza: There's a funny little story: supposedly, Marco Polo went to China and saw pies, but didn't know how to wrap the filling inside, so he just put it on top--and thus the pizza was born. Personally, I think this is a myth, or many people have started fantasizing about Marco Polo because they think he was too great. But according to various unearthed historical records in China, Marco Polo never actually went to China. In fact, around 2010, more than 20 scholars organized an event called "Retracing Marco Polo's Route." After completing the journey and comparing it to what Marco Polo himself recorded, most of them concluded that he probably never made it to China. Sorry, I have a strong urge to share--went off on a long tangent about Marco Polo. But the pizza was really delicious. It should be truly fire‑baked, not oven‑baked. The sauce was well‑balanced, and the toppings were generous and fresh. My wife and I ate more than half of it! Salad: The dressing and cheese were very generously applied, and the greens were fresh. Chicken wings: They had a pleasant sweet‑savory taste, just right. Unlike most American restaurants where they're too salty or too sweet, these were perfectly balanced. All the dipping sauces were good. Overall, highly recommended!
