Cristo
Ryan O.

Our party has never been here before, and we showed up and we were greeted with friendly faces. Breakfast menu was outstanding and all three people in our group or the Cristo. When it came out, they all looked magnificent and there is a blueberry habanero sauce jam that goes on top and it was not super spicy, but had great flavor. I would easily recommend again and again just based off their menu for breakfast.

Tot-Chos with potato wedges and seasonal crisp

Stopped by here for a quick dessert but I couldn't resist ordering the totchos. I subbed it with potato wedges instead and it tasted absolutely amazing. The dessert we ordered was a bit too sweet but the ice cream actually helped balance it out. The ambiance is nice. Chill and warm. Parking was plentiful. Service was exceptional. Staff was very friendly and checked on us often as well as offering us recommendations. They did forget about us when we asked for the check but immediately apologized and remembered as I approached the bar.

Doyle's is always a good time. Great neighborhood bar. They always have fast service and clean beer lines. Can't wait to make it back!

Doyle's is my new favorite spot! First of all, the service truly stands out to me. Every server and bartender is SO kind. They are also super dog friendly. They even gave our doggies water. The drinks are fantastic! I wouldn't expect a pub like this to have such amazing cocktails. They rotate the menu frequently and I haven't had a cocktail I didn't like! I can't wait to come back to try more food items.

Good times and service cheers Open early and has side parking and patio on a nice day

This place has the best French toast I've ever had. I've tried French toast at many other restaurants, but this one is by far my favorite. It's perfectly cooked, fluffy on the inside, and full of flavor. The cocktails and beer are also excellent and pair well with the food. Great food, great drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

Fetching, isn't it?

One of the nifty things about Doyle's is that they are open 365. Yes, this includes Christmas. There are very few places that are open so it's nice knowing there's a place to go if you just want to hang out. Food, for the most part, has been quite consistent. It comes out hot and it's pretty good. Nothing to write home about, but it's perfectly fine pub food. There are a small handful of vegetarian items, which is more than I'd expect from an Irish pub. The omelet that I had most recently had way, way too much butter for my taste, but that's what happens at restaurants. Service is really hit or miss depending on who's working. I've only been here a handful of times thus far, but I'm starting to recognize the good employees and the bad/slow ones. I like several of their hot drinks, but if I see one person in particular I know it's going to be luke warm by the time I get it so I don't order those when she's bartending. Overall it's a simple concept: you order at the counter when you're ready and then they'll bring things out to you. Including drink refills, just flag someone down when they walk past and it's good. Things can get quite loud when there's a game going, so keep that in mind if you're trying to chat with your table. Overall though Doyle's has a great vibe and I can enjoy my time here.

I Always enjoy Doyle's. The staff has always been friendly, it's a honey hole for specialty bottles of your favorite bourbon, whiskey, etc. The food is absolutely delicious 8 times out of ten. For the money I don't think anywhere downtown surpasses it. I highly recommend giving it a try. Their Scottish eggs, juicy good bits, and soups are my favorite.

Marbled Rye Toast (Dry)

I came here for our brunch club with some friends. It was a pretty good breakfast and the staff was very friendly and helpful, they even leaned over the bar to take our order at a table and didn't make us walk up to the order-taking spot. We came during a match, so it was VERY loud. I'm not faulting the restaurant for it; it's obviously characteristic of a pub. It was our fault for choosing this spot for a women's brunch outing. But we hung in there! I asked the server if they had anything vegan, and he said no, nothing as is. So I ordered the veggie scramble without eggs or cheese and a side of dry rye. It was pretty tasty. My friends also enjoyed their meals (Doyle's scramble and sausage biscuit buddies).

Garbage.

Ruining the parking in the neighborhood for what looks like it will be a month and a half for a sports party. I am sure you are making mad stacks. Good for you, that makes me happy. I will think about your fat stacks and how happy they make you as I sit in my car with my eight year old for 45 min circling a multi block radius looking for parking every single day after work for a MONTH AND A HALF. The crowning achievement is they are throwing this party in their... f'ing parking lot. I will never speak positively of this place again.

Map from bar crawl showing their are a witting participant in the scam
Bob P.

This bar is a willing participant in a scam perpetuated by eventbrite and bar crawl.com. They allowed scammers to use their venue to check in for a fake "bar crawl". They will allow these scammers to use their building to steal from you. Avoid avoid avoid. They did not honor the drink tickets from the scam. When we asked the bartender about the bar crawl, he was rude, snarky, dismissive - should have been a red flag that they were enabling stealing and scams.

Ask the Community - Doyle's Public House

Is it kid friendly for the World Cup extravaganza?

Sorry, no kids. We like kids, but our liquor license will not allow them on the premises. Woven on the waterfront has a lovely all ages event.

Do they have shuffleboard?

We do not have shuffle board

What time does the kitchen close?

Thank you for asking. Our kitchen is open until 1am every day of the week. Look forward to having you in for some food, drink and banter.

Do you have a weekly trivia night?

Yes! Every Thursday at 8pm!!

Do you guys play the champions league?

Yes, is there a particular match you are looking for?

Do they have live music every Friday night?

We do live music on Saturday Nights starting at 9pm! Music is not always guaranteed, so calling ahead or checking on Facebook Events is a good way to find out what band will be performing!

Is there a Celtic Fiddling Night? Where folks drop in, grab a bite and a drink and jam on their Celtic instruments together? We have this where I live and I'm headed up there and hope to fiddle in a local pub.

Amy, thank you for your query. We do not host a craic jam session. Please do stop in and say hello on your travels though. Be well, drink good whisky and keep in touch

Do they do a trivia night?

We offer a trivia night every Thursday hosted by Geeks Who Drink which starts at 8pm. The game is free to play and there are plenty of prizes. Hope you will join us and thank you for your query.

Great food and drinks. Our Server took our drink order then went on her break? We wanna ted almost 30 minutes for her to retire n, finally ordered they the bartender who was great.

Contact the owner, Russ Heaton, and he will take care of it. Post a review on Yelp, positive or negative, and he will respond. Never had a problem there, doesn't mean it can't happen though.

Since it was Porchfest ( and event where musicians play in the front yard of homes in the neighborhood of varying music genres) the menu for drinks and food was a bit more simplified. The tequila and lime mingled with each other perfectly on my taste buds! The burger and fries were good as well and satisfied our emerging hunger as we hung out in the place. I liked the decor a lot with it's quirky hanging lamps and lights and recalled that this was where the Crown Bar used to be. Overall really great texture for the dish! So many places make their stew veggies mushy, but these were perfect! I also tried the butternut squash grilled cheese which was delightful! The fries appear to be fresh cut and had a wonderful taste and texture to them. The parental unit went with the Flemish stew both times and he is definitely a fan! Great environment. Instead he continued to play music that catered to maybe 10-12 of the same people who knew the dance. This was later in the evening and one would think that some of the more popular songs could be played again to get more people on the dance floor. It's a simple model really. The more fun people are having, the more they will want to stay, and will continue to spend their money at your place of business. However, based on our experience and what seemed to be lower patronage than we would expect on a Friday night, I would say the Big Whiskey Puyallup is the opposite of a good time.
