Awesome place. Great bartender and owner. Met both. Terrific beer selection. Had a fabulous Fresh Hop from Irrelevant Brewing and a wonderful sour. Definitely recommend this bar to hang out with friends and make new ones!

Stopped in after a show. Super unexpected and LOVE it!! The Sampler of different ciders, as that's my jam! The bartender suggested it after I wanted to taste the different flavors, as I wasn't familiar with the names. These are sooooooo good! He definitely helped by knowing the stuff I'd like! Great vibe, very chill and clean. If you're into trying different flavors, this is the jam!

Well we wandered in here and found a little gem, this is a great little neighborhood style beer and cider joint. Great selection of beers and cider on tap. The owner is very friendly and was working the bar super nice guy. We were glad that we got to sit at the bar and try some of the offerings from the tap. Ooh and a little surprise these little Japanese fritter things, Okazu Pans, what was this I had to try it we order a jerk chicken and a kimchi. Hello loved it it's always a treat to find something new and this is a tasty little treat. I have to head back to try some more of the menu for sure.

Sandwiches are amazing. Great veg option too! Haven't been to the bar yet but got the sandwiches to go.

This is an interesting place. Very college dive bar vibes. Including the 2 bartenders who seemed college aged. My wife and I are very early 30s and felt like the oldest people in the space. Def wouldn't come back for this reason. Even the bartender told someone, "we tend to get people who are just waiting for the reservations at over the moon cafe or devils reef and want a drink while they wait". Makes total sense as this place lacks any real design aesthetic. The menus are written in sharpie and laminated and featured TONS of typos and other grammatical errors. Nothing sexy, cool, fun or interesting about the space. The Okazu Pan was yummy. We shared the chicken adobo pan. Def want to try out Umami Kush Bakery in Seattle where these are made! These are the highlight of the space imo. I'd come back to try the coffee, but def wouldn't not stop or stay awhile. Unless it was during the day when I imagine the place is dead and you wanna have a quiet coffee study date with yourself.

I was walking around the area to find good beer and a chill vibe spot. I checked out a couple places near Rusty Goat, but didnt feel the vibe. Luckily, I stepped into Rusty Goat and was so glad I did. Vibe- Super chill. Beer- They had a diverse selection- sours, stout, IPA, ciders and more. The menu was steep so it took me a while to order. I couldnt make up my mind so I did a flight. Service- The owners Diamatris and Heidi match the vibe- CHILL. They are super dope. In addition to the above, they provided good conversation. They just opened 2 weeks ago, it's a black-owned business and they are local to the area. Support this awesome spot. They have food available too!

Food and service was great but..., how long does it take to clean your bathroom sink. gross. That's over 6 months of dirt and grim.
Deanna W.

Nice ambiance , friendly staff . The food was good until I had to use their bathroom. The grossest sink in a food establishment I've seen. Made me wonder about cleanliness in the restaurant portion.

One day I received a notification that one of my fellow Yelpers had checked into this place, and I…read moredecided to look it up to see what they had to offer. I'm a big fan of breweries, especially those with several drinks on draught or tap, and if they're really good, I'll buy them in a bottle. However, I read their review and noticed that they had vegan and vegetarian options, so I thought, "You know what? That's a combination I can't resist. Beers with a delicious sandwich!" A few days later, I made plans to visit on Saturday, which happened to be one of the two days this year that it snowed in the Pirec. It was quite amusing with the parking and the snow that stuck everywhere. As soon as I walked in, the bar was buzzing with energy. It had a great vibe. I didn't think I'd get any seats, but I managed to snag one at the bar with a very friendly person. I spent all but about 3 to 4 hours there. The sandwich I ordered was called the Rainier, and it was mentioned in the review, but the name wasn't revealed. It consists of a field roast loaf, Chao vegan cheese, herbed vegan mayonnaise, tomato, red onion, and arugula on sourdough bread. I'm not a big fan of mayonnaise, even if it's vegan, so I swapped it out with some pesto-style creamy cheese, and it turned out even better than I expected. The sandwich was a perfect five out of five. I would definitely order it every time I come. It came with a side of chips, which was a great addition. The sandwich was massive, so I could only eat half of it. I took the other half home for the next day. For my beers, I'm a big stout-and-porter guy, so I went with the Fort George's. They had two options: the Salted Caramel Cavatica & Matryoshka Vanilla. Both were exceptionally flavorful and probably my favorite porters I've had in all of Washington and many other states. Unfortunately, they ran out of the Salted Caramel Cavatica, so I ended up drinking the Matryoshka Vanilla for the rest of the night and didn't mind at all. Overall, I had a fantastic time at this place. I'm definitely going to make it a regular stop in my monthly rotations around Tacoma. Highly recommend stopping by this place. It's definitely a five. Service is amazing, and the drinks are worth the trip. They have an array of options, which is what I love about this place. Until next time!

Well worth a trip out of town. Sandwiches are really great as is the selection of beer. Certainly…read morea local place. People hanging and playing cards. Watching random sports. Has a trendy divey feel to it. Dark and open. Lots of tables and seating at the bars.

They have rotating list of beers on tap, wines by glass, and Happy Hour offerings (check out their social media and website for regular updates, they're active on Instagram!). Inside the store, they have cozy seating areas and board games to choose from if you have company. I've also seen some people bringing small take outs and eating by the countertop seating with beer and that looked like a good idea. The staff is always friendly and can help you make some really good selections if you're interested in trying something new. On most days, I let my curiosity make choices on sour ales/ciders and buy single cans; or when they display a really cool looking can packaging I will for sure gravitate to it. Parking area is ample they also got some good Thai restaurant and Poke place in same lot, and across is hot chicken wing place and Dairy Queen so its golden. As for prices of beer cans, you definitely can find lower prices at local big grocery shops on common local beer labels, but difference is not by much and this is not a Safeway so there's that. This place being closer to me than Total Wine at the Tacoma Mall, I am a frequent flyer here. Its convenient, and fun to browse and take a few or 4 cans to try at home. They also do lots of events, and lots of charity work for good causes around helping community, which I appreciate!

They have about 12 taps with rotating selections. They don't do flights (sad panda), so I had to make a commitment and we'll have to come back to try others! The owner (?) was super friendly and the place was organized and clean. There's a really nice vibe and I can see myself happily hanging out here with a book. The bottle shop section has a great selection; I ended up impulse buying several cans and had to sit on my hands to stop myself from getting even more! Even if you're not in the area, it's worth a drive to hang out here!

We never disliked the beer but it was also not one of our most favorite breweries in Tacoma. But we have learned that it looks like new ownership has taken over at this brewery. The name remains the same. The merchandise is mostly the same in concept but with a few tweeks. Probably what we noticed most was the beer recipes changed as did some of the beer options. We felt like it was an improvement actually. We have been here twice now since the changes and it definitely generates more motivation to go over there. We have had a few very tasty lighter beers since on the first visit. On the second we had a great Black IPA called Nightmare 21. Black IPA'S aren't super common so we get them when we can. Another fun dark beer was Haunted Windchimes was what it was called. The name itself sold me on wanting it but it didn't disappoint either. So looking forward to more frequent returns to North 47!
