Some of the hardest craft beers to find are here! So stoked to live not far away. Tap list changes and always solid choices available

Okay I have to start with a shout out to Mike.. Because of him I ended up here twice on a 6 day vacation! What a fantastic bartender! Also I was from out of town and could try multiple beers from around Washington which was amazing instead of trying to hit multiple locations! Also Tuesdays they have bingo for free and it was so much fun! Prizes and money off your tab.. Why not have a little fun on a Tuesday night!

Amazing beers and cider

I met a couple friends here and it was such a nice change from louder bar spots. More laid back,…read moremore easygoing, and actually set up in a way that lets you catch up with people without turning every sentence into a performance. There are nights for music and motion and pretending you are not tired by 9:30, and then there are nights where you want a drink, a seat, and a real conversation. This falls into the second category, and I mean that as a compliment. It felt like the kind of place where you can settle in and let the night unfold without much effort. No shouting "WHAT?" every six minutes, no feeling rushed, no need to recalibrate your ears when you walk back outside. my friend would call this a better decisions bar, which is funny mostly because she is usually the reason we test that theory. If the goal is drinks and conversation, this place worked really well. Go here when you want to actually talk to the people you came with.

The staff working was friendly and we chatted with them for a while. There wasn't many people in there.. I think they are trying to find their groove again after being closed due to Covid. The gal working informed us that you could bring food from Haggen and eat it in there. There were quite a few tvs with the Mariners game on and they had tons of space. They are currently only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 3-10. The pricing seemed to throw me and the hubby off.. two tap beers close to $20. Would def come back for a quick drink if my husband and I didn't have the kids. Def want to check out trivia night

Discovered this place when going to the Radnor's burger food truck parked outside. This is a…read moreperfect set-up for the two businesses because Firemind provides a comfortable and family-friendly sit-down environment to eat at, which Radnor's lacks; and Radnor's provides the good food that Firemind does not make themselves. We were lucky enough to come when a FIFA game was on. There was plenty of seating on a Monday night and we got a great view of the game on the tv. There were a few groups sitting in the back and in the backyard patio. The back area offers various beer-brewing books and board games for your entertainment. They offer their own in-house brewed beers and seltzers. I usually drink seltzers to be "healthier" but usually don't like how tart or bubbly most places make them. I tried a special walnut seltzer here that was just a one-off experiment the brewer made. It was AMAZING. I went back for seconds and would love to take a growler home. I think my husband enjoyed his beers too, but he drinks IPAs and that's not my jam. The two guys working that day were very friendly. One of them was the brewer (head brewer?) and we learned a lot about the place's history and what they do. This brewery has been here for years and I didn't know. I thought they were newly opened, similar to Radnor's next door, but they actually rebranded last year or so, so it made it seem like they were a new business. The guys explained that they used to be called something else that made people think they were a place to buy beer brewing equipment and classes rather than a place to drink beer, so they changed their name and it really helped bring more people in. They still offer brewing classes at a great price. It sounds like such a cool experience for the solo beer enthusiast or for a team building event. They also host open mic nights and other community events. I had such a good time here that I would love to come back and continue to try out more of their beers, learn about the beer brewing process, and take in the fun and casual environment.

Everything seems about the same ( the beertender I recall seeing before when the predecessor was still around...I think) as far as set up goes. Definitely some new signage going on which is to be expected. Firemind and it's predecessor I think remain my favorite brewery in Puyallup. My first visit under the Firemind name I got two of the beers on tap which I liked quite a bit. The first one was Brain Drain which was quite good. It is an English Bitter and lived up to that name quite nicely. It had maltiness going on which I do love with this particular kind of beer. Mind Goblin was the next beer. This was a good one too as it also had maltiness, nuttiness and toffee at play in the the flavor profile. Great first stop...just as enjoyable and the predecessor brewery and I'd love to come back to partake more of their beers !

The Black Duck is quickly becoming my favorite restaurant and bar in Issaquah. I can vouch for the…read moremushroom burger and the duck pizza, as well as some of the whiskey cocktails. The burger is thick and really juicy, great bun and aioli. The fries are perfectly crispy. The pizza had a really great, I'm assuming wood-fired, crust. The duck was tender and sweet and there was a lot of arugula. It's a sparser craft pizza, which is just so delicious when you are looking for something a little heavy but not over the top. While they boast about their craft beer offerings, they have a great cocktail list as well, and I love that they have a specific whiskey cocktail section as well, with a few that are less common at some bars. The Brooklyn is probably my favorite, but you can't really go wrong. Also, a fellow patron asked for a Toronto and the bartender was happy to look it up and make it for him. And what about the atmosphere here?! It's so wonderful in summer! With its narrow design giving a sense that an entire wall opens to the outside and the patio that extends beyond, it feels Ike you are vacationing somewhere tropical and beachy. This somehow combines really well with the industrial vibe of the interior. They also have some TV's for sports. The service is very friendly, attentive, interactive, and helpful. One thing that was consistent across my three visits, however, was the feeling that the place is always understaffed, so things tend to move slowly. I'm not sure this is the case, it's just the feel you get when it happens the times you visit. This is a bit of a double-edged sword though, since it's such an easy place to just want to sip and nibble slowly while delving into conversation. So, that's not enough to detract a star for now, and honestly I'm already thinking about when I get to eat here again!

The beer selection and cocktail choice is awesome. Loved the stock manhattan cocktail. My wife enjoyed the Snap Dragon cocktail, nice use of tequila on this drink.
