A lovely taster tray from Fierce County Cider!
Alden C.

Fierce County Cider, it's always pleasant to see places like this open during the pandemic to remind us to relax a bit and have fun. In this case it involves drinking cider! We had a really hard time picking what cider we wanted so we got two taster trays of about everything they had on tap. Ones we especially liked was the Gin Gin Cran, Marionberry, their basic cider and Everything Nice a spiced cider. Aside from those being our favorites all of the ciders were very good with a nice, spacious tasting room this is a great and a needed addition for Puyallup!

The food menu is just the right size with a good variety of things to enjoy. It's my understanding they will be updating the menu soon. The service/staff has always been good and continues to be very responsive to customers. The original owner did bring the charm/decor of the larger establishment. Parking can be tough but it's worth the walk after you find a spot. So if you are in the area drop in to have a bite/drink, watch a local game or play pull tabs. Yes, they have other things happening here which can be found on their FB homepage. Overall, my friends old and new come back to this local Bar and Grill.

We thought we would give it another try. The prices are high, $21.00 for a steak sandwich. This would be OK if the quality of the meat matched the price, it doesn't. It was chewy and stringy. Ir was ordered well done, it came medium, very pink. While i went to wash my hands, my husband ordered soft drinks for each of us. When the bill came, it was $33.+ for one steak standwich (we split it) the total seemed high. I then noticed the drinks were $4.95 each. This is gouging. The fries were really good. The sandwich was OK. Two sandwiches and two soft drinks and tip here would be 60.00+.. Too high for the quality of the food. Smokers stand right outside the door and it makes the room smell like smoke. So much so that it felt like someone was smoking in the room.

I finally made it to Mujka Korean BBQ and it definitely lived up to the hype!…read more First off, this is not one of those all-you-can-eat buffet-style BBQ spots. You choose meat combos that fit your group size, which makes the experience feel more intentional and higher quality. The portions were generous, fresh, and perfect for grilling right at the table. The banchan (side dishes) were served to us, and whenever we needed more, our server brought them straight to the table -- no getting up to serve yourself. That level of service really stood out. You also have the option to order from the main menu if you don't prefer cooking on your own, which makes it great for everyone at the table. The variety of soups was another plus -- served family-style and perfect for 2-3 people to share. And the best part? If you have leftovers, you can take them to go -- something you don't get with buffet-style places. I was especially happy that our combo came with a big beef bone. I got to bring it home for my dog, and she was beyond excited! Shoutout to our server, Tae, who was superb and provided excellent customer service. Attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Service like that truly elevates the entire experience. We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back. Definitely adding this to my regular rotation in Puyallup!

The food is ok but many of the meats were tough and overly fatty. Not a good experience. The place is clean and comfortable but it's the overall experience that's important. So it's a 3 for me.

All kids 6 and under. Because we asked about eta on the food the lady gave us an excuse as to why it got messed up and came back with the manager and the owner asking us to leave. For literally no reason at all! We did not ask in a rude manner and were actually understanding. If this is how you run a business, it's pretty fucking sad. Whatever goes on in your personal life outside of work should not affect your business and how you perform and if that is affecting your ability to work and run a business then you should probably stay the fuck home. I hope you reap what you sow. To send kids away that are clearly hungry and asking for food is insanity. When karma hits you next, I hope you think of me.

A name so potent, so evocative, so downright mysterious that I feel compelled to sip deeply from a drink just to ponder its meaning. Does the **Soul Pole** guide weary travelers toward nirvana? Is it a **cosmic beacon**, planted firmly in the earth to mark the exact center of revelry? Is it, perhaps, the *literal pole* around which the very essence of joy and good times swirl? I do not know--but what I *do* know is that this bar is **absolute perfection**. Let us begin with the **drinks**--for at Soul Pole, they do not merely serve beverages; they craft **elixirs of pure delight**. The cocktails? **Divine.** The beer? **Cold enough to make time itself shudder.** The spirits? **Strong enough to awaken forgotten wisdom from deep within one's soul.** One sip and you wonder--*Is this the true meaning of the Pole?* Is this what it leads us to? It is **flawless**. It is **worthy of poetic devotion**. The chicken is straight-up fire, but the real game-changer is the Lemon Pepper SAUCE. I've only ever had the dry rub before at other spots, but having it as a wet sauce is a total revelation. In my mind it…read morewas gonna be dimly lit, old school, classy dark-colored furniture, easy listening jazzy music playing softly in the background and a warm ambiance that was inviting, once you stepped in. That's what I picture when I hear speakeasy. A very intimate setting. However, this was completely opposite. It was bright, with a mishmash of decor. I wasn't sure if there was a theme. There were fake plants and a column/pillar with mirrors on it, an Amazon Forrest mural on the wall with televisions up on a couple. Felt like a sports bar. The tables and chairs were your average styled booths, that light-colored wood. It was sooooo cold inside. When we walked in, we were greeted by a nice young lady. She seemed to have a puzzled look on her face as to why we were there. My husband stated we had reservations. So now we were seated. Time to order. Looking over the menu, I see the pricing and was like "ok, a lil higher priced type of menu" I was down to give it a try. We ordered the calamari and zucchini chips for apps and then the butternut squash risotto with scallops (approx $30) for me and the brined chicken ($28) for my husband as well as a side of broccolini ($14). The apps came out first and I was honestly shocked. The calamari were so tiny and the zucchini looked like what they would serve in a bowling alley. Both dishes had the "mama lil's peppers" in it. I'm okay with the portion size but how are you charging $20 for calamari and $14 for the zucchini? Then we received our entrees. Again, we were looking for an elevated dining experience with the pricing of the food, to include presentation and all. I was disappointed to see the cheap cafeteria-like silverware and dish ware it was served on. Now understand the food was good. Not OMG WE ARE COMING BACK kinda good. But mid. Nothing wrong with that but the way they advertise is as if you are about to have a romantic, chill and classy dining experience. It's okay to be mid tier. I won't be mad about it. My dish was not butternut squash risotto, it was a mushroom risotto with 4 mid sized scallops. My husband's chicken was nicely seasoned and flavored and the mashed potatoes it came with, delish. He had caramelized carrots but some were straight black. Maybe a bit much heat. The broccolini was drowning in a cream sauce with onions and mama lil's peppers, slightly overcooked. Needless to say, it wasn't the dinner I was expecting, especially paying almost $200 for it. We did have a couple drinks and those were good. Customer service was on point. The staff were accommodating and helpful. I would kinda expect that since there were only us and another table in the dining room area. I had high hopes but sadly, not the vibe I was looking for. I've been to a fair share of a lil more upscale restaurants and this didn't hit that point for me personally. I think with lower prices and refraining from calling it a speakeasy, it could do well. Just my opinion. Oh they had a lil area for taking selfies available. Thank you for a nice date night with my hubby. We had a chance to have some one on one time together.
