After one visit, I'm confident in saying this will be theeee spot of the summer for myself, my boyfriend, and our baby! I discovered Cockrell Cider on Yelp (as one does) and added it to our must try list of kid-friendly spots. Note that kids 18months and YOUNGER are allowed, but not older than that. This place is SO cool. It's literally on a family-farm, they're only open a few hours a few days a week, and they have rotating food trucks on site. The ciders are also pretty good, and that's coming from someone who doesn't favor ciders at all. I loved the raspberry and strawberry rhubarb one. On Thursdays they do live music which is apparently the prime night to come, because it got pretty busy. The space is HUGE though, with covered and uncovered spots to choose from. We visited last week and already plan on returning this week. My boyfriend hasn't stopped talking about it either. Cockrell is the definition of hidden gem. A must visit if you're in the area!

No better place to spend a warm summer evening! Free music on the lawn, tasty ciders or beers, yummy visiting food trucks in a gorgeous, laid back setting. Their roaming dog is a hoot. His name should be Rhoomba since he goes from table to table looking for any dropped food!

Lovely place to visit. I would like to see more information about Elwood on the website. He's a great dog but service dogs could be distracted by him so knowing he's here is important for anyone with a service dog to know before a visit.

We never come this far south when visiting but decided to check out Cockrell Hard Cider. It's run by two brothers who started it back in 2014. We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 1:30pm). Their tasting room (aka. the Roost) is spacious with plenty of additional seating in the back. They had a TV up playing golf in the background. One of the brothers was there hanging out and chatting with the regulars. There's also a friendly black labrador (Elwood) that roams around. Order at the counter; you can start a tab or settle up right away. They had 8 ciders on tap along with a beer option. They have different food trucks that setup outside (when we were there, it was RJ's BBQ Smokehouse). They no longer offer flights but pours are $5.00 USD (13 oz) and you can sample a few flavours before deciding. Grunts are $9.00 USD and growlers are $17.00 USD. - Elwood blues berry ($5.00 USD) - Blackberry ($5.00 USD) Cozy, friendly vibes and decent ciders at Cockrell. 3.5 stars.

This place was great! Good vibe and a food truck on site if you're hungry. A lot of good tasty flavors of cider and options for "to-go."

We definitely expected a chill/calm vibe, but when we walked in there was upbeat music bumping and the bartender was jamming away. Instantly got us pumped! My husband got a cider flight and was happy with all of the choices. Two of the ciders he got out of four were from a local favorite of his (Cockrell Cider) so he was glad to see some tried and true staples. I got a glass of wine which was also good. My favorite part though is definitely just the atmosphere and how well they did with the space. It's seriously so gorgeous! All of the salvaged wood is stunning and I love the color palette happening here. Highly suggest stopping in for a drink or two to check out this local gem.

They allow you to stroll through their orchard rows at your leisure. There isn't much there for entertainment, but it's an open area that serves cider, you can bring your own snacks and games, music etc. My kids really enjoyed chasing the bullfrogs by the pond. I had sort of assumed that the kids would get bored quickly and we would leave right away. But they were so entertained playing in nature that I couldn't get them to leave for hours, which made for a relaxing afternoon for me and my wife as we sipped cider and watched them play. The cider itself is some of the best I've ever had. I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur and I would rank dragon head as my top cider in the state.

We were warmly greeted and though our hostess was new, she did a wonderful job taking care of our large group of 12. Everything ran smoothly and she was great at keeping track of our progress. They have a beautiful orchard that you can walk around in as well. Some nice seating areas scattered about or bring a picnic blanket. No food but maybe some snacks for purchase. We just came from lunch in town so I wasn't looking for snacks while I was there. I saw some people who looked like they brought their own picnic/food to enjoy there.
