The wine was better than expected, after stepping into the dirty tasting room. Shocked at the state of the room where guests are supposed to feel relaxed. It looked more like a work room that was not expecting guests. Dirty couches, with dirty and hairy dog blankets covering them. The worker had to quickly clean off a filthy glass table for us to even sit down. The bar would have been nice to sit at, but it was covered with junk and empty bottles. We should have left right when we entered the door, but that would have been rude. As stated, the wine was not bad. Although, I guess they decided that no label was required on the bottles, just hand written in gold pen? This was not an enjoyable experience. Too bad. read more

Quick stop on our way out of Seattle and on our way to Gig Harbor. Did a search for local wineries and Abbe Vineyard Winery came up. Just a quick detour off the 5. Small place; small batches. Got chastised for parking in the wrong place so please park on the left side of road against fence where it states 45 degree angle; across from tasting room sign. Tasting cost $12.50 for 4 tastes - 1 white and 4 reds. I loved the Chardonnay - was very light without the acid and over oakiness of California Chards. All wines good and quite affordable. We bought the Syrah blend for $25 to take to dinner. read more

I went with my sister and friends when it was gray and raining so we were inside. There was a fire inside to keep you warm and that added to the ambiance. Marco, a 1 yr old dog, was there to greet you in case you love dogs. I wanted a charcuterie board and they made us own which was so nice of them since it wasn't on the menu. We also ordered this appetizer that had caramelized onions and feta cheese on dough. This is such a cute spot. It was my second time being here and my sister and friend's first time. Dogs have a special place in my heart We were here for their wine tasting, there was no menu or options we chose from. We were given wine as we entered and the glasses kept getting filled haha. I am not complaining about it one bit. Luckily I love reds and but they do have white wines as well depends on the season. Owner kept checking in on us and was friendly. Four of us visited this boutique winery during the early-afternoon of a Sunday in January. An unexpectedly pleasant surprise in a convenient Puget Sound location. AMBIANCE: 4.5. Small, pretty vineyard on rolling slopes just off of I-5. It was January so the pleasant outside deck overlooking the vines wasn't open. We sat in stuffed sofas and chairs in a large heated tent located next to the main building. It was a wonderful time. Inside the building behind the counter is an attractive wall lined with barrel staves; one of the owners spent considerable time installing this himself. Music ok (eg Santana) and nicely low-volume. There is a TV in the main building that was tuned to NFL football when we visited. SERVICE: 3.5. Few guests at that time of day, so an owner was taking care of everything on his own. Very friendly and gruffly warm. When I called in advance he made sure we understood the King County COVID rules (despite not liking to be in the role of enforcing them). WINE: 4.0. We did a wine tasting of five wines (as I recall), two whites and three reds. The wines are nicely unique, with no chemicals (including sulfites) added. The grapes for the Pinot Noir wine were grown on-site (I believe this area is part of the Puget Sound AVA); I think the other varietals were from eastern WA. After tasting, we purchased three bottles of two varietals to take home. Though we didn't partake, there was also freshly made light food available. read more

I can't recommend this winery, first of all it's not inviting, upon entry it smelled bad. There is a steep hike up to the tasting room and I didn't see how they would be accommodating for people who can't walk well or in wheelchairs. Second, the service was non-existing, we waited several minutes without any acknowledgement from the host and when he did, simply said "sit wherever you want." There was not wine list, no description of the wines and he never even gave a description of the wine he was pouring! Now, third... the awful wines, yikes. Honestly, I was ready to leave after the first sample...horrible. After trying three of their wines in the tasting, it was 12.00 per person, mind you, the pour didn't even equal a glass in the tasting. I am shocked of how many 4 and 5 star reviews this place has. read more

Awesome local winery. I'm somewhat of a wine snob having lived inTemecula and a Sonoma passport holder. The wines here are definitely snob approved. It's very small and intimate. The owner and winemaker pours the wines and provides friendly convo throughout the tasting. I can't express how blown away I was with every wine. Tasty and quality. My favorites are the sparkling Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cab Merlot. But everything was great. Tastings are $8, waived with bottle purchase. If you weren't specifically looking for this place, then you wouldn't know it is here. Tucked off Highway 99 in an obscure location in South King County, Abbe Vineyard Winery, although not phenomenal, was a pleasant surprise. Pull up to this location and the surrounding land is filled with a vineyard. The environment evokes a sense of someone had a house and then decided to plant some vines - it is homie. The tasting room is a converted portion of the main house - nothing overly fancy. Tasting lineup gives you a sample of many of the wines produced - pours are generous and considering the price point of $12 - a solid bargain. Purchase a tasting and get 20% off a bottle. Everyone has a different opinion on wine - for me, the slate of wines here were good, but a bit unrefined. Definitely drinkable, but just not my flavor profile. I don't know how we went all this time without knowing about this place but I'm certainly glad we found it on this sunny Father's Day! This winery is set in beautiful surroundings . You can sit on their shaded deck or in a cabana overlooking the vineyards. The wine is quite tasty and reasonable. The owner is knowledgeable without being pretentious. The food that day was paella and looked delicious unfortunately we had just had a big Father's Day brunch and couldn't partake but certainly plan on coming back and trying whatever is on hand. You'll find it hard to believe that you're not far from Pac highway. It is so peaceful but so convenient to get to. I know we will be back and we'll be spreading the word about how wonderful this place is. Do yourself a favor take an afternoon and go sip wine and look at the vineyards. read more

Yesterday we noticed signs out on 99 hey for a wine tasting. So we had to check it out. Once you turn off of 99 the scenery all changed. They have 4 acres of vineyard . Which he has Chardonnay and Pinot noir. He does a tasting on Friday and Saturday with lunch on Saturday. His wines are great and the food is was delicious. All are very reasonably priced. Fifteen for lunch which he had three options. And 20 a bottle of wine. We really enjoyed the place, with its unique atmosphere read more

Who would have thought! This is a great place for wine tasting, and the bonus is that it is local between Fife and Federal Way area, just off Pacific Highway South. We had our company Christmas Party there last night and every single wine was spectacular! There was one in particular that tasted like flavorful rich organic berries with a bit of bubble...bought 6 of those - three for gifts and three for me! Thinking of having my families Christmas here next year, they offer appetizers or a full meal. Going back in spring for wine tasting. We love to try to support local small businesses, so we made reservations and went with 4 friends to try this local winery, Abbe Vineyard Winery. We enjoyed seeing the vineyard in the way in and were hopeful for a great evening. The long walk outside was filled with things to trip over and a real mess, but we we went inside with excitement to have fun. Inside was OK, we had our table for 6 already reserved. The owner came to our table and poured the first wine and it was stinky and tasted terrible to my wife and I, but we kept quiet as to not embarrass anyone. As he came back to poor the 2nd taste, he saw me rinse my glass with water and grabbed my glass and scolded me to never do that. I know to not do that, but I didn't say anything because even though he embarrassed me, I did not want to say why I rinsed with water. It was because it stunk so bad ( like his breath did that night! ); that I rinsed so I could try to get the smell out in case the 2nd wine was OK and the 1st one did not ruin it. In my opinion, the 2nd wine was similarly bad. He told us that he was the cook and had some food, so we all ordered some. Then, I noticed that there was no price list for anything, food, wine, tastings, not even posted on the wall or menus or anywhere. When the Samosas came out, they were cold in the middle and he said he would Air fry them longer. Then they were OK. After 3 more wines, the Sangiovese was pretty good. We still had no idea of the prices of anything, so my wife asked if we bought wine, did it wave the tasting fee or how did that work? He got defensive and said nobody does that and she responded that we just got back from a weekend of wine tasting at Woodinville and all of the wineries we went to did and we went to a lot of them. He got more upset and and said she was wrong and he could call "his buddy" up there and prove it! Wow! I just wanted to go!!, but our friends wanted some Sangiovese and so we went with that and the 6 of us bought the 6 bottle discount and split the cost and paid for our wine, wine tastings and food and left. Stumbled upon this gem while in the south Seattle area. They were the only winery we could find open at 6pm and decided to give it a try. Couldn't have picked a better place if I tried. The wine was delicious, the place is beautiful! Sitting next to the vineyard and soaking in the bit of sun there was in the outdoor gazebo. The owner? (Dennis) was there and personally poured our wine. He also provided great conversation, allowed us to taste his home-made bbq ribs, and allowed us to pet his big puppy max which was another highlight of our visit. We came on a cold Sunday afternoon and were greeted by a funny and energetic man. He invited us in and offered us a warm seat next to the fire. Or, we had the option to sit in the outdoor section, which was also heated and very well done given these awful times. I'm not sure what was better? If you are sensitive and have allergies to wine, then you should know Abbe wines have no sulfates. I also sampled all his red wines and had no dry bitter taste lingering on my tongue, it was lovely to not have to guzzle a gallon of water after tastings.
