I stopped by on Saturday early afternoon with a friend and the brewery was pretty empty - the small counter was filled and only one other table was occupied. I mostly stopped by because the otter mascot was too cute. My friend and I tried a pale ale which was light and refreshing. All of the otter decoration were very cute and the bartender at the front was friendly. Also you can buy whatever glasses you want! All in all, a nice stop with a great mascot.

They reopened February 1st! New owners! Same delicious beer! This is my dad's favorite spot so when we saw they reopened, we went on down! We got to meet the new owners and chat with them, seem like some cool dudes. We're excited to have Odd Otter back in Tacoma and look forward to where the new owners will take it!

Odd and Ottery this local brewery is one that will make you a regular the moment you step in, from great service to great beer and then some. Being from out of town I've never felt more welcome at this amazing all-inclusive spot in the thick of Downtown Tacoma. This women, veteran and lgbtq owned as well as friendly semi-karaoke speakeasy, trivia tavern and embodiment of all things amazing has Karaoke several nights a week including Tuesdays and Thursdays with the handsome talented Pablo. Aside from the amazing variety of craft brews Odd Otter has some stylish guest brews on tap (like the Bourbon Barrel Cherry Cider via Tieton Cider Works) not to mention plenty of non-adult brews for non-drinkers and craft enthusiasts with families. I even saw they've done a kiddie karaoke day during the week. Mariel, a regular here has some amazing vocals and was really sweet. I heard great things about one of the owners Karen here from lots of regulars and can see a lot of love and care go into this way more than a Brewery spot. The Winterface 2021 Winter Ale, Nordic Otter Hazy IPA and Ottermelon Hefe are among my top favs... though I did see the word flight pop up on their menu board so might have to rethink my sampling experience my next time I'm in Tacoma, which might be a little more frequently. OOB also has amazing merch for sale and home brewing kits if you're a beer lover or open to experimenting. Ate a huge meal before we stopped in for a karaoke Tuesday, however saw they have a solid variety of bar food menu desirables such as wood fired pizza w/ a vegan options, appetizers and more... insert smiley devil emoji w/ yum emoji next to angel halo emoji here Lots of theme-y days and nights, amazing brew crew and plenty to enjoy and do. Check-in for a nice cheers-ful surprise.

This place has the feel of a great local spot. The staff were friendly, they had Motown playing so you I had to hit the high notes on all the Marne Gaye songs. I got a stout and shared a flight. The stout was on point. Tasty and hit the spot. This is the type of brewery that you arrive when you're reading to fight crime all while enjoying a cold one. Will return in my next visit

Before catching our flight back home, my husband and I stopped in Tacoma to try one last brewery - Odd Otter caught my eye because of their cute little otter logo. Odd Otter is a cool spot right on Tacoma's main street. We visited right when it opened on a Tuesday and it wasn't very busy. The bartender was super nice, even recommending restaurants for us to visit while in the area. For drinks, I got the Bean Machine Coffee Stout (I love coffee stouts) and it was sooo delicious. I believe my husband got an IPA and he as super satisfied with that as well. Great spot, definitely recommend for beer if you're in the area!

I'm a big fan of otters so when I was driving by this place while visiting Tacoma it was a no brainer! Delicious ciders as a non-beer fan, and everyone was so friendly! We took advantage of their board games and hung out for a while. Quite a fun souvenir too as I bought a shot glass!!

I'm sad that I didn't get my $1.50 off if I had just did a Yelp checkin. This is a quaint brewery in the heart of Tacoma. I ordered a flight of beer which you can choose from a flight of 4 beers or 6 beers. I ordered the 6 sampler because I am a lush. Anyhow, the staff was extremely friendly! I tried a couple of beer samples, but definitely the most tastiest ones were the ciders. I liked the Lav Honey Cider and the Blood Orange Cider. This place is military friendly and offers military peeps a pretty good discount for patronizing "Odd Otter."

What a cool spot. If you're looking into reviews for this place, just go. My wife and I drove up for an event nearby the next day, and wanted to pop into a local brewery and check it out. While we're been to Tacoma before, we're not familiar with the area at all. It was a very entertaining place to people watch and just hang out. We usually sample a bunch of beers when we're out pub scouting, but we liked the first two we ordered so much, we pretty much stuck when them the whole time. A friend in Seattle was able to come over and hang out for a bit, and it was just genuinely nice to be able to hang out on a busy patio when a friend, pints, and our dog and just relax after a very long couple of days. The place was very busy, but not overcrowded, if that makes sense. The staff was very welcoming, and the patrons were varied and all enjoying themselves. There wasn't really anything not to like.

Cute spot, cute logo, great hef! The bartender wasn't Uber friendly but maybe just a quieter person. Oh also they give first responders, military, nurses, etc a discount

Normal, average brewery on the 6th ave area. It's good, they always have good cider options. We love their military discounts and they have the nicest staff here! They are good with recommendations, suggestions and conversations.

Came for the beer, returned for the beer. This is an awesome little joint in the heart of downtown Tacoma. They have an array of regular scheduled events ranging from ladies night to trivia. We try to make it for trivia every Wednesday-- a very packed house on trivia nights! Great brews and friendly service. We take all of our out of towners here.

The apps and drinks were well received aside from one of the mixed drinks that came down to preference and not execution. Unfortunately things took a turn after the apps. The specials were just "OK" with everyone at the table mostly finishing their meals but saying they wouldn't order again. I got the beef dip sandwich and it was pretty bad. The jus was more like a burned cornstarch slurry (it was thick AND broken). I sent it back and tried the sandwich on its own, only to find the beef dry and crumbly and the seasoning non existent. I ended up sending the whole thing back after 2 bites and based on everyone else's meal I decided to just skip and eat something at home. My meal was supposed to come with Cajun tots but they gave me regular. Whatever, that wasn't a big deal. The server was gracious enough to remove the item from our meal (which was around $240 before tip for 7 people). We asked about desserts (it's mother's day) but their special "mystery" dessert was 86'd, despite it being a holiday at 6:30. We said we would need a minute but the server must have had a break because we sat there for 10-15 minutes waiting to put in a dessert order and get our bill. The hostess area was devoid of staff and there was only one other server running another section. Finally a new server came up and we ordered a dessert to go and asked for our bill. I'll probably not come back, at least not the main floor area. I'm left kinda scratching my head about what this place has to offer that's worth the price beyond a "Millennial Quirky" atmosphere.
