Not happy with this place at all I was a regular at this place for years and had an experience with a very rude group of guys they started an argument with me and my boyfriend cause they wanted to keep their huge back pack on a table we were trying to sit at and then out of nowhere jumped on us and started swinging finally one of our friends got him off of us they took off and the owner and bar tender let them go and started yelling at us until bystanders witnessed what went on the staff knew this group of people and I feel like we're playing favorites I feel like the staff handled it horribly we called the police filed a report not a " family friendly " place I feel safe at! read more

We had been to CaskCades a few times and have enjoyed it each time. The staff is great, helpful when explaining the selection of their many beer options. This was the first stop on a little downtown Puyallup bar hopping date night and I've been eyeing it since I moved here over two years ago. So stoked to have been able to check it out! It's a smaller space, but it's inviting and friendly. Love that they also welcome kids and have a kids menu + drink offerings, too! One of their walls was painted as a Super Mario scene, which my Mario-obsessed five year old will LOVE (because we're def coming back). The staff was super nice as well, which is always a bonus. Food also came out quickly. My boyfriend had the Italian sandwich, which was a nice surprise at ordering because it's not on their website so we didn't even know that was an offering. I went with the South Sounder hotdog and loved it. It's basically their version of a Seattle Dog, from what I assume, as it has cream cheese, mustard, and onions. My boyfriend and I have been here twice and we have not been disappointed! We love their food as it is good for the price you pay for. I really want to stop by to try their drinks at some point, especially because they are gamer themed. They also have fun trivia events every so often and it was well organized. The space is on the smaller side but they have several tables and stools, so if you arrive at a good time then it's not too hard to grab a seat. I have been here twice and both times have been amazing. First time I came in was October 13th when it was under the original owners, the bartender was very friendly and nice and even told me he hope see me back. I cam back in on November 24th under new owners same great friendly service just different bartenders and the who served me she was very friendly. First time I came I had the south sounder hot dog and it was very very tasty and flavorful, the second time around I got the Puyallup fair hot dog and I absolutely love the flavor combos and taste. We moved in the downtown Puyallup area in 2017. I never knew this place was here. I was fortunate to live near several craft breweries, but today I discovered another. Caskcades is definitely our go-to spot now. I saw over 30 craft beers and ciders on the menu. I left with a growler of a delicious IPA I selected. Also, their pub food menu looked appetizing. I went with the Mango Habanero wings. They were legit! Can't wait to sample more of everything, and trust me, I will! The place is clean, well decorated in pub flair. Went to partake in some wings right at the end of a Seahawks game. This place is very cool and the vibe was great for the game. Staff was very nice and friendly. I tried the lemon pepper wings which in my opinion had way too much seasoning on them-maybe that's just how it is when it's a dry rub. But the lemon and pepper were so over powering it seemed to ruin the texture because it was like eating straight seasoning. This is why I knocked a star off because I feel they should redue the lemon pepper as a wet sauce or dial in this dry rub better. So I followed up with another order of wings but in the buffalo sauce and those were very very good. I'd definitely do those again while partaking in a Seahawks game. We are here visiting from So. Cal and chose Caskcades based on the Yelp reviews. Excellent customer service and I tried the Captain PB&J hot dog. I don't typically like sweet food, and the waiter warned me that it was very sweet. So I ordered the crunch cereal on the side. But when combined with the natural saltiness of the all beef frank it was delicious. The crunch cereal added a crunch without adding too much sweetness. I combined this with a delicious Hefeweizen from a local brewery. The sweetness of beer paired well with the hot dog. Bonus...they had a 4 person Pac Man game as well as Touch Tunes...which just added to the ambiance and fun of the evening. Enjoyed our time at Caskcades and definitely see their vision on what they want to do with the place. Service was friendly. The server brought out some beer samples so I could try a few craft beers before I selected my choice. They had an extensive selection of craft taps which I appreciate. The menu is not a 'full' menu, mostly hot dogs and some meat/cheese style plates. The hotdogs were extremely tasty, I recommend adding a 2nd dog just so you can try the various flavors. I had the ring of Fire and the Shasta So-Cal, both with unique flavors.. The table situation can be a little difficult as they only had a couple of larger tables, where we sat they pushed 2 tables together but seating is definitely a premium. The owner did mention there was a purchase requirement to sit at the tables, but I never saw what those requirements were. Also it will get frustrating when 2 people take a 4 seat table, since larger dining tables are limited. The games are also pretty limited. 6-7 arcade stand up games (most were older, 2 were those 50 game cabinet ones) and 3 pin ball machines. They did have some card/board games, but this is not a place where you come to play arcade games. Puyallup needed a place like this. Beef hotdogs and a vegan available, no Polish. The selection is good and we appreciate the poppyseed buns. No fries available, you get chips. Staff is friendly and attentive, clean inside but seating is a bit limited. Apparently they don't like anyone to wait, we were asked to move to a different table so others could sit there even though we were obviously about to leave. We left instead. It's unclear how they'll handle a full house in that aspect. I think the concept is good , but it's not Red Hot in comparison, but nor do I believe it's trying to be. Also the staff is super knowledgeable about the taps they are running at the time and made a couple suggestions for samples that I would never had normally tried. There is a xotton candy IPA that is a light aqua bluish that looks and sounds pretty iffy but was fab (I am not an IPA fan and this may have been the first one ever that I actually loved). We walked in on a Friday night. Also, the FAIR was going on. We weren't sure what to expect. Caskcades was BUSY. It looked like standing room only and we were about to leave and go elsewhere when a very nice guy came up and asked for our I.D's then took our beer and food order. He had us follow him up to the bar to pay (or start a tab) and while we paid, ANOTHER employee pointed us towards 2 available seats at the bar. As we sat down, very surprised at how easy this was, our beers and food were brought to us by a DIFFERENT employee! I don't know how the three of them kept track of us and made the flow FLAWLESS. Basically the best place to drink craft beer in downtown Puyallup. Caskcades has an ever changing tap list of great craft beer. If you don't see something on tap that you like, you can always ask for some recommendations from the beertenders or try a couple samples or taster pours. The menu is not expansive but should cover the needs of most parties. The kitchen is flexible for dietary needs: they have vegan dogs, salads, wraps and charcuterie plates to complement their ever growing range of The owners are often onsite and are quick to remedy any issue you run into, but I doubt you'll have any. Caskcades is all ages until 9pm when the crowd might get a little rowdier. Unfortunately you'll have to keep the doggos at home. AJ and Andy do a great job having events such as brewer's nights and tap takeovers where brewers near and far will bring often rare kegs seldom or never seen before in Puyallup. Also worth mentioning is their cooler where the owners select a handful of cans and bottles for off-site and onsite(with a small corkage) consumption.
