We had an amazing server - Jenny. Such great hospitality!!!!.It was obvious this place has a lot of regulars and the entire staff was loving on everyone like we're all family. I ordered PAC SOUTH omelette. No green onions, chose hash browns instead of toast and had side biscuit and gravy. Unfortunately the hash browns were really crackly dry. Maybe I should've had the red potatoes instead. The Omelette was surprisingly good. The sweetness of the pork with the bbq sauce was fascinating and tasty. If I had it again I'd ask to add a squirt of bbq inside or ask for more sauce on top. Hubby ordered the Shrimp and Grits. They were great and better than most places we've had them out. Hubby crumbled his side of bacon on top. They were Creamy, savory, cheesy and served piping hot. Jenny said sometimes people ask to add andouille sausage or catfish on top. Last - OMG that was a THICK biscuit! It was super dense. The gravy was delicious. But the biscuit takes up most the room on the plate. So my gravy to biscuit ratio was off. Food wasn't very tasty nor was it authentic. The oyster poboy had 4 oysters on a hot dog bun with a sweet coleslaw in the sandwich. It was soggy. The coleslaw was too sweet. My Cousin and I decided to go have Dinner. We decided on eating Southern food. We drove to Tacoma from Seattle. We decided on Pacific Southern. Food: we ordered the Shrimp and Grits. I ordered the Sweet Tea and she ordered the Cherry Lemonade. We both ordered sides, I ordered the Chivken Sausage and she ordered Scrambled Eggs and Bacon. The Shrimp and Grits were Delicious and my Sweet Tea was very good. My cousin liked her Cherry Lemonade. The portions are huge and we both counted over 7 Shrimp in our Grits. Whilst waiting for the Tacoma Mall to open we found there wasn't anything open at the mall other than Krispy Kreme, so we had to forage for brunch. A few minutes away was Pacific Southern. Wish I weren't on keto because their southern style brunch items looked delicious (I'd kill to try their cheesy shrimp grits). Sis and I settled on splitting a meat lovers omelette with veggies and Mom got the biscuits and gravy with grits and both plates were huge. Despite making eye contacts with the staff, and waiting at the front counter, no staff members acknowledged us or even a "we will be right with you". Ordered a chicken fried steak and a breakfast steak (8oz ribeye). Not an exaggeration but we waited for 45 minutes for the food to come out. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely not. Chicken fried steak was decent, hashbrown was soggy and the scrambled eggs was dry and overcooked. The "ribeye" steak came out well done, tasted like dry cardboard, never have I ever left steak uneaten but today was the first. I ordered the steak medium rare, didn't expect a high quality steak since it's a breakfast joint but man was it inedible. Will not be returning, the mediocre food is not worth the wait. read more

Just amazing! I had heard of this place, mostly for breakfast/brunch, but they have a full menu through lunch and dinner too! If you are looking for great portions and southern food, definitely try this restaurant! We came by for breakfast and everyone got something different, from the chicken and waffles, cinnamon roll French toast, Andy's French toast, to breakfast platters, and it was all amazing! The tables and seating was bigger than I imagined from the outside and we felt like we had plenty of space. The service was good too, but got a little slower once things got busy. Highly recommend the Catfish plate, it comes with red beans & rice but you can substitute those for another side dish I usually do Mac & Cheese (baked to perfection).
