Menu 10/2024

Stayed in the hotel and ate here a few times. Pretty good and very convenient. Prices are toward a bit high, but that is to be expected for a hotel restaurant. I enjoyed the mahi mahi tacos with lime. House salad didn't disappoint, and the calamari seemed hand-made and tossed in frozen from a bag. Although for the price, I wish there would have been more to enjoy. Service was consistently very friendly for me. I would eat here again next time I'm at the Murano but I probably wouldn't travel here to eat.

Not many people. Must not be very good anyway

Waited to be seated 3 different times. The server was too busy talking to people at booth. She even saw me and made eye contact. She even started to walk towards me but then turned around to talk to people at booth. Terrible customer service. There wasnt many others in restaurant. Two other tables had someone seated. Its like a ghost town in the restaurant. After 3 attempts I gave up.

Kids chicken strips

We were out late and we had limited dining options but when I saw this was open till 10pm and walking distance, I took the chance. It's inside the hotel on the 4th floor. There weren't a lot of patrons so we basically had our pick of seats. They had a kids menu which consisted of chicken strips, pasta, hamburger, etc. Ended up ordering the mahi mahi tacos and french dip sandwich and kids chicken strips. The tacos were average, if that. The lime slices were dried up and the mahi was overcooked and dry. The kids portion was good. The bathrooms were clean and bright and smelled of perfume. Service was fine but we ended up waiting a bit after we finished.

All tasted fresh and portions were great. Potatoes were good. Service was good, food was fast, they refilled my coffee once. I wasn't rushed out even though it was close to closing time. They close and stop breakfast at 11 AM. Wish they were open a little longer & their menu is rather limited.

Assembled waffle

This is based solely on our breakfast we picked up to go. Staff was welcoming and friendly. I ordered the belgian waffle, 1 egg, and side of bacon. I was offered water while I waited. I don't think it took longer than 15 mins but I could smell my waffle being made! Everything was packed up nicely ready to go. When we got to the room the waffle was piping hot, crispy and airy like its supposed to be topped with powdered sugar. The sliced strawberries were separate as well as whipped cream so I easily assembled it to out liking. Syrups, condiments, utensils all packed nicely. My egg was made over easy as requested (it's usually always overcooked) and bacon crispy as requested. We enjoyed our food so much I wish I would've gotten it sooner instead of wasting money on subpar places. Pricier? Yes, but convenient and worth it in the case.

Cedar planked salmon

If you're in the area, it fits the bill for a meal since there aren't a ton of sit down options within walking distance, but don't seek it out. Overpriced. Cold atmosphere. Limited menu. I've heard better things about the hotel itself.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich

Great food. Great service. Amazing atmosphere. The chicken sandwich from the bar area was delicious. They halved it for us so that I could share with a friend. We had a great stay with fantastic food and service. Thank you!

If I hate to scan a QR code for a menu and there aren't even pictures, what's the point? I don't need a fancy menu, but a printed menu is nicer. We got the Skillet Smashed Fingerlings/potatoes appetizer to start, very delicious! My dinner companion got the Classic Smash Burger. She said the burger was great, and she knew there were going to be caramelized onions, but there was a lot packed in the middle of the patty. The novelty wore off quickly. She still said it was good overall. I ordered the Scarlet Rosemary (chicken and homemade pasta), and it was really good. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was fantastic, but the only problem was; there wasn't enough of it (sauce) and when the dish cooled as we ate, you couldn't taste the sauce much. About 7-10 minutes after getting our food, my friend took a bite of my pasta and said "I don't taste any flavor at all" and I realized I was mostly tasting the chicken at this point and I was sliding the pasta in the very small bit of sauce on the plate. I would suggest don't be stingy with the sauce because it was great. Otherwise the food was wonderful and we'll plan on going back.

The only disappointment was we really did not like our tiramisu cake. It contained way too much alcohol for either of our liking and we both don't drink alcohol. This was the strongest alcohol I've ever had in a tiramisu cake. The environment has a unique vibe but the seating was not comfortable and the tables were very small.

After what I believe to have been 2 years of saying that, that day has finally come. First, parking near the restaurant was limited, however finding parking in the residential area was fine. We found parking about 2 minutes away from the restaurant. As we came with my best friend, who, by the way, was the reason why I finally stepped foot here, wait time wasn't long as she came about 5 minutes earlier than I. We came for brunch and it was busy but the wait was not bad at all. The both of us ordered the same items on the menu from both the drinks, the main and dessert - a sangria, Shakshuka with lamb, and beignets. We also brought our daughters with us. They ordered a cheeseburger with a side of caesar salad and a mac n cheese dish from the kids menu. Our orders were delicious, although I was expecting the shakshuka dish to be heftier. For the price - $17. xx with an additional $4 to add lamb - it was a little disappointing, to be honest, especially since it was lacking in the lamb department. I was still hungry but thankfully I had my 4 year old's leftover cheeseburger and salad to fill me right up. As for the beignets, it was good. I don't have anything to compare it to since I don't know what an actual beignet tastes like. Would I return? Sure.

Server was attentive, very friendly, and knowledgeable. My wife enjoyed a frost cosmo. We then started with roasted calamari (which was quite flavorful, although the meat was a bit tough) and herbed focaccia (wonderful for dipping the calamari sauce). The ahi special and boneless short ribs were our entrees; both came nicely presented and were very tasty. Both pretty full, we ended up with a bourbon chocolate cake and fruit hand pie to go, which were both delicious. The restaurant is not large, and filled up while we were there, making it somewhat noisy, but not bad. It is a nicely appointed, appealing place, with a great team making it all happen. We'll be back.

My brother was a chef du cuisine, not a cook. He taught me decades ago how to make a dining experience worthy of people's spending. This was not it. The food was amazing but left the experience me feeling as if I wasted my money. The grumpiness of the individual behind the bar where we sat and ate was showmanship beyond unprofessionalism. When he dropped off drinks...no eye contact, no acknowledgement of our thank yous to him. Utterly embarrassing for the establishment, and for us to support it. If you are that miserable, you should not be outward facing to represent a business. Bartending is an art rooted in many aspects beyond drink making, especially if you are representing a business in service. No offers of drinks with empty drink glasses after rounds 1 and 2. No acknowledgement of empty dishes with wishes of subsequent courses that we were interested in. Yikes, this was bad.

On our most recent visit we tried the nachos, and they were honestly the best nachos I've ever had. The cheese sauce is amazing- not some gross canned stuff. Dirty Oscar's Annex - Disappointing Experience on 6th Ave…read more We came in as a group of seven, and unfortunately the experience went downhill quickly. First, the service was poor and disorganized. One of my friends arrived early and ordered her drink, but it didn't arrive until after I had already received mine -- even after she asked twice. We also had to wait far too long for basic things like napkins and forks because we weren't given enough for everyone. The most frustrating part, however, was the automatic gratuity. At no point were we informed -- verbally or on the menu -- that parties of 6 or more are charged an automatic 20% gratuity. We only discovered it by carefully reviewing our checks. And to make matters worse, the so-called "20%" was not actually 20%. It came out to 24.1%. When we questioned it, the person who said she was the manager claimed "the computer does it automatically." We are a table full of teachers -- and the math was definitely not mathing. We understand and respect gratuity for large parties, especially when the service is great or when it's clearly communicated. But charging more than the stated percentage crosses from poor service into a billing integrity issue. To add to the frustration, there is also a credit card processing fee, which again was not clearly disclosed on the menu and only appeared at the bottom of the receipt. This absolutely should be visibly posted before ordering. They did offer to refund some of the charges, but we declined because it would have taken additional time and we had an event to get to -- and more importantly, it doesn't resolve the core issue of lack of transparency. She also gave each of us a $10 gift card, but again, that doesn't resolve the issue. And honestly, what good is a gift card if we don't plan on returning because of such an awful experience? Overall, this was a very disappointing visit, and not one we would recommend based on service and transparency alone.
