We then waited for about 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches with chips/salad and drinks. Our drinks didn't come until after our food came which we thought was weird. I stopped in here after seeing reviews on Yelp. I had my heart on the beet salad they advertised on their menu. I arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon, and placed my order. I was advised it would take 15 min, which was fine. 15 minutes later, they handed me my food in a bag and I left. Fast forward to getting parked and opening my food. It was not the beet salad I ordered. It was a chicken, cauliflower, kale salad. Although it was very good, it was not what I ordered and I was very disappointed that I paid for something other than what I ordered. Finally stopped in for lunch after walking by far too many times. The service here is great, very friendly and attentive. Everyone had a smile and was prompt and helpful. When asked about menu items they were very educated and willing to answer questions and make recommendations. I was quite impressed with the food and really enjoyed my panini and soup. Everything was great and our server was kind. The inside had a nice calm atmosphere during the weekday during noon. One thing I noticed was the server was doing multiple jobs: waiting tables, making food/drinks, taking to go orders so the service was a little slower than usual. I was in the mood for a sandwich. After visiting Mt. Rainer. This place is so good. We had tomato soup that was like my grandmas gravy cooking on a Sunday. And a prosciutto deParma, sweet onion and Cambozola cheese grilled. So good. Gooey cheese always makes me happy. My son had an awesome Caesar Salad w prosciutto chips so good. And penne pesto cream pasta w toasted pine nuts. So very good. Water here is great. The store is off the main road so quiet and good parking in the back. The waitstaff is great too. Came in for a quick bite around 5pm. It was not busy, only one other person dining in when I arrived. I ordered the grilled cheese blt with side salad, a side of chips and glass of the blended wine. Wine was good, smooth and not sweet. Sandwich was ok, I don't think I would get again. I really liked the side salad. The side of chips came out warm and very lightly salted. My waitress was very friendly and checked on my table a few times while I was there. One thing I noticed was a few tables had crumbs and no one cleaned them the hour I was there. The sides included house made warm chips and salad with house made dressing. Desserts looked amazing too. Everyone was completely satisfied with their food. Price was very reasonable for a party of 4. Ate here four times now, first couple times I would give them 4 stars. The first time, the server was very helpful with answering questions about certain food items and the second time was good too. I enjoyed the panini with lingonberry, pesto something panini twice(: My hot chocolate was quite late... on its arrival but other than that all was well. The first time, they ran out of the pudding bites so we had the gelato thing, which was missing lemon zest on top (according to my friend). We requested some lemon zest and it made everything better! They did have the pudding bites in stock the second time I went there so I tried it out. I dislike deep-fried foods and I don't know if the pudding bites are dunked in oil but dipping in the caramel sauce made everything better(: I can't wait to go back and try something new! Okay, so I decided I really like their pesto penne! Mmmm. The reasons for adding minor details to this review is solely for my "list" purpose. I decided to create a Happy Hour list and this is one of the places I enjoy coming for Happy Hour! I don't think I have to list the prices and such on my own review; just go to their website. Anyways, the last few times I came, I didn't plan on coming during happy hour but it just happened so! I REALLY love their happy hour. Love this coffee shops. One of my regulars I visit to catch up with friends all the time. Their coffee is creamy with the milk which I enjoy. It's a very relaxed and chill place to do work or hang out with a friend. The employees are always friendly and are always willing to help if you don't understand some of the ingredients in the food items. They have good food but they are on the pricey side. Update: went in the other day to do homework and I was waiting for my almond milk caramel macchiato to go. The issues I had on this visit. Firstly, the lady charged me $4.25 for a 12 oz, I paused $3.25 for a 16oz last time and it was the same drink!! Every time I go the pricing is completely different. Secondly, as I was waiting for my drink I heard one of the baristas saying, "omg who orders almond milk in any drinks, that's just disgusting". I was really shocked to overhear this and she said it pretty loud too. I get my overpriced drink and I taste it and it was with regular milk. I can definelty taste the difference between regular milk and almond milk. I was already disturbed by the price. I should of said something but not coming back for a while. read more
