Are these the best bar nachos in Tacoma? I don't know, I haven't had them all. Would I sign these nachos up for a poll as a candidate? Yes, I would. First of all, their nachos don't have olives. Already ahead of its peers. The steak is flavorful (I think seasoned with generic tex-mex taco seasonings) and in the perfect nacho bite size, no chewy large steak pieces here. The vibe is very casual. It's definitely a spot for locals. Come in for a game of pool.

I don't live far from this wings great.Gilbert great bartender. Mojito were excellent! Very clean. Will go back for sure

Amazing food, Amazing prices. Fried Mushrooms are hand battered portobello mushrooms. 6 bucks.. French Dip. I love to seek out a good Frend Dip. This was delicious perfectly sliced, delicious Aujau, perfect rolls.. Best French Dip I have had in town.. Hubby had the Western Burger. Stated it was delicious, the bbq sauce was tangy, the onion ring perfect. His only complaint was that the bacon was over done. Will deffinately be visiting again..

Woo! I'm sitting here stuffed! I really loved my jalapeño burger (and those jalapeños were fresh ones and HAAAAHT!) and the fries were on POINT! My husband got wings that had a great crunchy outside and juicy inside- they were a great size and there were eight to an order. All of their sauces and dips are made in-house, their chicken tenders are made here from fresh chicken, and their onion rings are made fresh, too. The draft beer was cold. The inside is small but the atmosphere is very laid back and comfortable. They have a pool table, electronic dart board, and touch screen jukebox with Bose speakers set up around the place for great sound. There is plenty of parking right next to the building. We plan to come back on another Saturday for steak night.

Great breakfast place! My wife ordered the Hobo hash (the biscuit was to die for) and I the corned beef hash (made in house!!). Both meals were incredibly delicious! And if that wasn't a good enough excuse to come back, the $25 bill for 2 of us sure is! Can't beat great food, excellent service (Terri was so friendly) and reasonable pricing. We will be back for happy hour soon!!

Space dust on tap is always good. Especially for breakfast beers on a sunday.

Came here on a whim, we're driving from Seattle to Tacoma to browse antique shops and our favorite…read morerecord stores and hunger hit us en route. I looked up diners and Yelp came through with this spot! When you're pulling up the the location you wouldn't think that there's a bomb breakfast spot in the area but OMG this place is fantastic! Small hole in the wall type spot but everything wad great. Solid stream of folks coming in and glad we beat the rush before it was a 30-40 min wait! Service, the sweetest servers! Charming and just overall nice, you know you're being taken care of with them. Renee made great recommendations and we got an omelet (forgot which one...it was a supreme/something omelet towards the top of the menu) and my hubby got a club sandwich! Omelet was cooked perfectly and they were not cheap on the meat! My hubbys club sandwich was HUGE! You must get the loaded hash browns, they are incredible!! Will definitely come back!

My husband loves chicken fried steak, yet I'm not a fan so we got both kinds (one with and one without). The waitress asked, "Are you sure, it's huge on a 13" x 9" platter". We didn't expect the platter was an actual 13" x 9" lasagna pan .. lol Yes, they are about $40 each, but look how huge. Absolutely amazing taste, wonderful customer service, and very nice small cafe environment. Well worth drive and we now have a ton of leftovers (bonus, I don't have to cook for next couple days)

On our most recent visit we tried the nachos, and they were honestly the best nachos I've ever had. The cheese sauce is amazing- not some gross canned stuff. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, and the ingredients are layered throughout so you're not stuck with a bunch of plain chips. It feels silly to be gushing about nachos, but they are next level. It's not cheap, but well worth it!

Dirty Oscar's Annex - Disappointing Experience on 6th Ave…read more We came in as a group of seven, and unfortunately the experience went downhill quickly. First, the service was poor and disorganized. One of my friends arrived early and ordered her drink, but it didn't arrive until after I had already received mine -- even after she asked twice. We also had to wait far too long for basic things like napkins and forks because we weren't given enough for everyone. The most frustrating part, however, was the automatic gratuity. At no point were we informed -- verbally or on the menu -- that parties of 6 or more are charged an automatic 20% gratuity. We only discovered it by carefully reviewing our checks. And to make matters worse, the so-called "20%" was not actually 20%. It came out to 24.1%. When we questioned it, the person who said she was the manager claimed "the computer does it automatically." We are a table full of teachers -- and the math was definitely not mathing. We understand and respect gratuity for large parties, especially when the service is great or when it's clearly communicated. But charging more than the stated percentage crosses from poor service into a billing integrity issue. To add to the frustration, there is also a credit card processing fee, which again was not clearly disclosed on the menu and only appeared at the bottom of the receipt. This absolutely should be visibly posted before ordering. They did offer to refund some of the charges, but we declined because it would have taken additional time and we had an event to get to -- and more importantly, it doesn't resolve the core issue of lack of transparency. She also gave each of us a $10 gift card, but again, that doesn't resolve the issue. And honestly, what good is a gift card if we don't plan on returning because of such an awful experience? Overall, this was a very disappointing visit, and not one we would recommend based on service and transparency alone.

I went to this restaurant in Tacoma over the weekend. I had actually passed by many times…read morebefore--the eye-catching signage and overall atmosphere always drew me in. Finally got a chance to try it at noon today, and it was a great experience! Environment: The overall vibe is very American. There were TVs on the walls constantly playing various ball games, like today's playoff game between the Thunder and the Lakers. It was pretty busy on the weekend, especially the outdoor seating area, which was almost full. The building is an old structure dating back to the 1900s. Though it shows its age, it's very clean both inside and out--you can tell the owner really cares. Service: Our waitress was very, very friendly and professional. She gave us great recommendations, always served with a smile, checked in on us during the meal, and refilled our water. Very satisfied! Taste: Pizza: There's a funny little story: supposedly, Marco Polo went to China and saw pies, but didn't know how to wrap the filling inside, so he just put it on top--and thus the pizza was born. Personally, I think this is a myth, or many people have started fantasizing about Marco Polo because they think he was too great. But according to various unearthed historical records in China, Marco Polo never actually went to China. In fact, around 2010, more than 20 scholars organized an event called "Retracing Marco Polo's Route." After completing the journey and comparing it to what Marco Polo himself recorded, most of them concluded that he probably never made it to China. Sorry, I have a strong urge to share--went off on a long tangent about Marco Polo. But the pizza was really delicious. It should be truly fire‑baked, not oven‑baked. The sauce was well‑balanced, and the toppings were generous and fresh. My wife and I ate more than half of it! Salad: The dressing and cheese were very generously applied, and the greens were fresh. Chicken wings: They had a pleasant sweet‑savory taste, just right. Unlike most American restaurants where they're too salty or too sweet, these were perfectly balanced. All the dipping sauces were good. Overall, highly recommended!

So.........restaurant business is hard! We love this place but the food is I feel barely hanging on…read moreand it is more of a community comfort food place. Which there is nothing wrong with that. The service is ways excellent here!!!! The vibe of this place is amazing. The jambalaya and cornbread is so mouth watering it would make you not share it with your one family. But here is the tea!!! I can see where some of the food needs improvement but most restaurants these days are in the same situation. There are items I would not order again but others I love and a person must pick and choose their own individual items based on their preferences. I appreciate the restaurant being in busy and please get your food rating back to Great! Because Fair had me a bit side ways. I ordered PAC SOUTH omelette. No green onions, chose hash browns instead of toast and had side biscuit and gravy. Unfortunately the hash browns were really crackly dry. Maybe I should've had the red potatoes instead. The Omelette was surprisingly good. The sweetness of the pork with the bbq sauce was fascinating and tasty. If I had it again I'd ask to add a squirt of bbq inside or ask for more sauce on top. Hubby ordered the Shrimp and Grits. They were great and better than most places we've had them out. Hubby crumbled his side of bacon on top. They were Creamy, savory, cheesy and served piping hot. Jenny said sometimes people ask to add andouille sausage or catfish on top. Last - OMG that was a THICK biscuit! It was super dense. The gravy was delicious. But the biscuit takes up most the room on the plate. So my gravy to biscuit ratio was off. I still took half my omelet and half my biscuit in a to go box. Left the hash browns. They have BIG portions. Amazing atmosphere and service. If you come in from the front door there is a small counter seating area as well as booths and tables. Beyond that main room there is more space in the back. Keeping this place on the list for sure!!!
