Great spot for American style breakfast!! I've been looking around to try some new breakfast places and Manny's popped up on my radar. Extra bonus points that it's in Proctor - my favourite stomping ground. I got there not too long after they opened and about half of the tables were already taken. I found a place at the bar and was quickly greeted. I didn't see a drink menu, so I figured a mimosa is the obvious choice. They also have apple and grapefruit juice so you can mix it up a bit! For breakfast I went with the Mediterranean Veggie Hash, which was excellent! Good ratios of all the ingredients and I will absolutely be eating another one! Wait was suppose to be about 20 mins. It was 30 Sat at our table for 10mins before anyone greeted us to give us menus. Mickie came and took our order. Very friendly. Took everyone's drink order but mine. When she came back I asked if there were adult drinks. There are no drinks listed anywhere in the menu. When our food came I asked for butter.... butter never came. She checked on us 20 mins later and I just gave her my card. She came back with the credit card slip to sign and my copy. There was no itemized receipt so I dont know exactly what I paid for but I assume $134 for 5 people sounded about right I gave 4 stars cause the food made up for it... or atleast my dish did! French toast was nice and fluffy. The syrup tasted like a caramel/maple mix. Goodm but too sweet toward the end Blueberry pancakes were nice and fluffy 6oz steak and eggs was the winner. Your choice of bread. Comes with hasbrowns. The steak was cooked medium which was fine. The sauce on the steak is what got me. There was pesto, shredded cheese and some type of ketchup/may/ maybe Sriracha mix. But it was REALLY tasty. Southwest hash - great portion. Has brown postion was nice and crispy. They were very busy. It was father's day. So im sure it was just an off day with the service. Great little breakfast spot in Proctor. Not a ton of seating, so can get very busy! Food is solid- love the omelettes. Service is always great. My only negative is they still use the fake cream with stabilizers from the 80s - little cups. A great breakfast place should highlight their coffee and serve natural ingredients like fresh half and half. It's an easy thing to do- and a nice touch! read more

Didn't have too many great meals in Seattle, but Manny's was excellent. Found via Yelp and went a little bit out of our way to visit. Promptly seated, very neighborly and a server offered drinks immediately. A small but notable menu that covers all palates. I had Manny's omelet, wife had French toast. Mine was excellent, fresh ingredients, nicely cooked meat, and decent home potatoes. My wife won with the French toast, my goodness, it was epic. I'm not much of a sweet eater, especially at breakfast, but that dish was incredible. It's hard to describe the sauce they put on it, kind of like a perfect marriage between caramel and maple syrup. We were seated pretty quickly on a Tuesday late morning. They were pretty busy. The spot is small and was very loud when we visited. Everyone we spoke to was super friendly. The iced tea tasted a little off, I think it might be the water.... That slight mildew summer drink from the hose when you were a kid flavor. The food came out hot and just how we ordered it. Always fun to find a good place for breakfast and Manny's certainly is. Located in the Proctor district we discovered it of course on Yelp when we knew we were going to be in the area. The menu isn't huge but it has plenty of options for everyone. A long list of different types of omelettes with some amazing sounding fillings. Too bad you couldn't eat one of each. There are also none omelette options and that's what we opted for. Blueberry pancakes that came with two eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage. The pancakes were huge and a little sweeter than I like, hence the four star instead of five star. They also didn't have blueberries inside but were topped with a berry compote. Scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon nice and crispy. A good crowd for a weekday so I'm sure on the weekend it's super crowded. My only suggestion (and maybe this isn't feasible financially or because it's a leased space ), but the ambiance needs 2026 improvement, in my opinion . I know it's an old building . There's an old musty building smell when you walk in ---that doesn't smell like food . My sniffer is pretty sensitive though but it didn't make me want to eat in there but I choose to ignore it and ordered anyway . There is old carpeting too from what I could tell , I bet the place would smell better if it was gone . It would be an amazing to remodel this space to a hardwood look vinyl laminate . Id love to see the restaurant brighter, fresher and cleaner looking inside. But ambiance aside , the food was great (a lot better than OPH for example) and the staff were wonderful. Great breakfast spot! It can be hard to find a classic breakfast place that isn't greasy or run-down, but Manny's is an exception. The food is traditional American breakfast and everything I've ordered has been great. The servers are always friendly and attentive, and we love sitting outside with our dogs. read more

The hash was tasting great with the two over-easy eggs mixed in, but I thought it was missing something. Then I remembered the salsa and poured it over the top - that was it! I had wheat and it was a large tasty slice, not that wimpy thin slice you often get. Tasted like it came from a bakery and it was really toasted. The shredded hash browns were golden brown and tasty. Maybe a little to much oil but still delicious. I had the Proctor omelette and it was packed with sausage, pepperoni, and bacon as well as peppers and onions. Decided to go back on keto tomorrow and wanted one last breakfast with some delicious carbs. Decided to try Manny's for the first time. Pretty close to me and had some positive reviews. Showed up around 12:30pm on a Saturday. The place was full and the owner greeted me at the front. Put me on a list, took my phone number, quoted me about 5min. Called back in about 10, and I came right back and was promptly seated. Server walked by and took my order right away as I already knew what I want. She grabbed my coffee super quickly. I will say it took about 25 minutes to get my food, but the place was completely full so I definitely get it. When the food arrived, it was exactly what I wanted. Each component was cooked skillfully. I love to cook and am in the industry. So I can be a stickler on certain things. But I can say I had absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Review isn't about food but service. I've lived in the area for many years but never tried Manny's and I won't again. Didn't get as far as the food. Went in on a Sunday expecting a bit of a wait. It was just me dining. There was a low top table with three chairs and a high top table with bar stools in the back. There wasn't any one waiting. I'm offered the high top table but explain I can't sit there because of a foot issue...even after the person tells me it has a ledge for your feet. Still no. I ask about the low top table (which only had three chairs because another table took the fourth). I also offer to wait. Told no so I walked out. Evidently single diners aren't welcome at Manny's unless they are only willing to sit at certain tables despite the fact that there is a physical reason for not being able to do so. This neighborhood restaurant is this good as they say it is. The food is presented beautiful and is reasonably priced. When I was there I miss ordered and the service staff were incredibly gracious and giving me the right omelet. I don't have stomach issues and so I really appreciate my kindness. The owner or manager was roaming throughout an offering incredibly welcoming vibe to everyone who stepped in me. If you live anywhere near the area or even are coming to Tacoma for a couple of days this is a fantastic place to have breakfast and then the roam the proctor business district afterwards. We've walked by Manny's Place while spending Saturdays at the market and finally decided to grab a weekend breakfast. We arrived before the crowd and were able to seat ourselves. Service was prompt and friendly. We ordered omelets (the Procter and a California). They come with hash browns and a choice of toast (sourdough and an English muffin for us). My initial impression was about the delicacy of the omelet - these were thin folds of whipped egg. Very nice to see. They were adequately stuffed but not overflowing so we didn't leave feeling as though we had overeaten. The hash browns were super crispy and, maybe it's just me, but I prefer them on the crispy side. These hash browns were perfect for me. Service was friendly the whole time and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The only thing that puzzled us are the stretched canvas animal photos throughout the seating area. I am sure that there's a reason. If you're looking for a good omelet one Saturday give Manny's a try. read more
