I tried their burger when it used to be a food truck and years later I tried their burger again at their restaurant and the burger is still as good. The consistency hasn't changed, and I would say maybe even more elevated since their food truck days. The burgers are a big portion and the garlic fries are a must get no negotiations.

Always love coming here when we're in Tacoma. It's the best and juiciest burger in town! Got two burgers and fries with my kiddo. Never a miss on flavor and service!

The owner dines along side you in themed videos!

I really enjoyed the enthusiasm of the owner who not only was delightful to speak with but fab on the video screen as well. You can eat your burger and drink your shake while he does with enthusiastic vigor on screen! Why?! Bc the food is the bomb! So much umami and flavor coupled with the pickled Korean cucumber and bulgogi sauce! (We got the garlic fries, strawberry shake and bulgogiger). I will think about this place for a long time or until I can make it back! The vibe is chill, place is clean and fab people watching!

Absolutely delicious and unique! I love the sauces they have! We had the Seoul burger, and the Fore Soul burger, they were both amazing. The meat is divine! Perfectly cooked and the seasonings are so unique. We absolutely loved it. It is a lot of food! We also got the cheesy fire fries with no meat, they weren't my favorite thing, but they were good! Worth trying, I think the mozzarella cheese doesn't stay melted very well, so it gets kind of stuck on there which is hard to eat, but it was tasty with the Parmesan cheese and sauce on top. The service was amazing, the lady at the counter was so kind and upbeat. Prices were great as well!! Oh, the pickled cucumbers are so good!!!!

On a whim, my spouse wanted check out a popular chicken and waffle place, however they were closed before their posted time. So we scrambled to find another spot in the area and Yelp lead us to this establishment. Upon arrival, we were expecting it to be a food truck, however it was a small store with some seatings inside with ample of lights that looks clean and simple. We ordered at the kiosk because we wanted to see what the options were, the nice cashier told us to let her know if we had any questions. We ordered the smash burgers and extra garlic fries without any expectations. One word: amazing! The burgers was super juicy, messy and delicious. I don't imagine you would take a date here as the burger was huge! The pickled cucumbers had a nice crunch and sweet taste to it. The sauce was not overpowering, it was perfect. The fries was super crunch with lots of garlic, just the way we like it. I would come back to here and totally recommend this place.

The service was nice and we didn't wait too long. The vibe is your typical modern yet small burger joint. There was limited seating but luckily we arrived at a non-busy time. Overall, most of the burgers and fries tasted great. I love how much Parmesan they topped the fries off with. The burgers had good toppings that blended the flavors well and were humongous (8oz patty). It's definitely a messy burger but they include the wrapper which helps mitigate some of the mess. My only complaint is with the patty itself. It tasted under-seasoned and was way too raw for my liking. I asked for medium but the patty ended up more like medium-rare or even rare.

Tried this spot for dinner and placed a to‑go order for the Seoul burger and the pork fire fries. Everything was made fresh, so it took about 15 minutes--definitely a place where ordering ahead would help. The burger was cooked medium but leaned a bit dry, and while it wasn't bad, it didn't really stand out. The fries were a bit disappointing too; even though I asked for extra crispy, they didn't quite hit the mark, and the sauce wasn't really my thing. I'll probably give them another shot another time, but overall the flavors didn't land for me this visit. Decent ambiance but nothing extraordinary.

Food was amazing, very flavorful, larger serving so you definitely got your money worth - and the workers were so kind. We had out dog and was able to sit outside since they had seating there as well. Definitely recommend, even if you are going out of your way. The flavor of everything was unreal and uncommon in a burger style.

It's been a hot minute since Steve and I were at Burger Seoul. Last time we were there they just had the food truck operating and they didn't have the physical location... as in a stationary building I should say. We decided to come back after that long absence. Upon entering we had to refamiliarize ourselves with the menu and it looks like they added some new menu items... new to us at least. The guy that rang us up was quite nice. He was chatty and missed an order of garlic fries that Steve wanted but I didn't figure that out until later. Steve was fine with just sharing my regular fries and that was cool because it was kind of a big portion of them. I got the Avocaseoul burger. A beef burger with guacamole. It was fantastic! The guacamole tasted great as did the burger. Usually I want more simple, basic burger without a lot of "bells and whistles" but this burger hit the spot! We also got a milkshake, specifically a Strawberry Milkshake and it was excellent! So very fresh, creamy. Really good ingredients go into making everything here. I could have just one of their milkshakes alone! Steve got a chicken sandwich which was good as well! I enjoyed the bite I had of it. Very good food and the good quality still is firmly in place!

My homeboy lovessss this spot, so I had to tag along since he's been going since the food truck days to now the brick and mortar location. Parking is super limited on site. But there is street parking available. Once inside, there is a few tables available. So if you see an open spot, snag it ASAP, or you might have to wait to try to snag the couple benches outside. But once in, theres a huge menu ahead. You can use the kiosk or have staff take your order. If you're not a beef burger person, that's okay! They have a chicken, pork, and shrimp burgers. They have fries too, just noticed now my photo is cut off on the fry section, oops. But they have a decent variety from plain, garlic, sweet potato and if you're feeling adventurous their own burger fries! They also have cheesy fries and fire fires, both with your choice or protein or no protein. Their drinks are shakes and sprite and coke/coke zero and I think fanta from what I recall in cans or glass bottles for some selections. And of course bottled h2o. I ordered the cheeseburger and it was good! I like the made to order spots since its that much fresher. I'm a fan of grilled onions, so was stoked to find they already included that and it wasnt an upcharge like other spots. Service was good, staff was friendly! The owner happened to be there and recognized my homeboyyyy. Lolll then you know he's a regular

The best. So good. At 9pm there was quite a long line so there was a bit of a wait. (~12min) It's nice and clean inside, good lighting Ok but the food was fire. Really love the pork fries. The bulgogiger is amazing- great pickled cucumbers and marinade.

I stopped by burger Seoul for the first time since they opened their brick and mortar. I only got a single item to go since I was in a rush. I really liked the shrimp patty burger though, they are hard to find outside of asia so I think it's worth it just for that. I wasn't ready for the size of it, their burgers are pretty hefty, one burger is definitely enough for a meal. The interior was small but not cramped. They make the burgers to order so it was about a 15 min wait. Over all it's not a bad spot, I have my favorite go to burger spots in Tacoma, but I wouldn't object to going back to burger Seoul.

I was excited to try this place because my husband mentioned it, it sounded good, and had a reputation from when it was a food truck/trailer. While this wasn't a "bad" experience, it was expensive and just overall underwhelming. The fries were probably the best part of the meal. I ordered the bulgogi burger and probably should have stuck with a regular one. While I LOVE bulgogi, I don't know that I like it on a burger or perhaps just not this bulgogi. The reasons above and the fact that lunch for two of us was nearly $50 is why I am only giving them three stars. If you are in the area, stop in.

Update: Thanks for the responses about the new building for the restaurant! We love these burgers…

    Yes they have!

I see a question asking if there is a veggie burger (a while back) and I see someone mentioning a veggie burger, but I don't see it on the menu. Is there actually one available?

Nope. I asked. Nothing on their menu is vegan or even vegetarian, except maybe the sweet potato fries.

Is the sauce very spicy? On a scale of 1-5, where 1 is mild and 5 is super hot, what would you rate it?

    I'd give it a 2 if you're accustomed to spicy; a 3 if you're not.

Is there a veggie burger? I see vegan options. Are they just referring to fries?

Only vegan options that I'm aware of is the fries.

Are they really closed on Thursday's?

    Open 7 days a week, I believe 11AM-8:30PM

Next day I came back for lunch. Had the BLTA on sourdough with a side of fries and a Bloody Mary. The sandwich had perfectly portioned bacon and produce ratio. Silly metric, I know but a sandwich with too much tomato or mayo or avocado can spoil the meal with a mess. Fries were great too. Had a bit of an onion ting taste to it which wasn't unpleasant at all. Bloody Mary was mid. Came with skewer of jack cheese, olive, pepper round chunk, pickled asparagus, and celery.

When a party of six your tip is automatically included which is the 18%. and I was like oh wow we had six on Tuesday and I left a $25 cash tip. And he said although waiter should've told you it's automatically taken out and the 18% was already taken care of. And I was like no I handed the waitress $25 cash and she never said 18% was taken out and I didn't pay attention to my receipt cause I had children with me but then when I looked back in my car on Saturday night from Tuesday, I realize that she double charged me. So on Tuesday she got over a $50 tip. The waitress on Tuesday she was a Hispanic lady with dark black hair. She robbed me. So please be aware you're going with the party of six or more. They automatically take out 18% gratuity. And I did not like that because she should've told me that you don't have to leave cash. She knew my kids were crying and I was trying to yo leave and not distract the other guest. But on the positive note, the place is nicely decorated. And service is good. My last review was honest but a 1star- now they could have ignored it, denied it or even got rude about it- after all others have (see aspen house) But no, they reached out and asked to open up dialogue- they asked what could be done and they APOLOGIZED- ownership and accountability! After what I believe to have been 2 years of saying that, that day has finally come. First, parking near the restaurant was limited, however finding parking in the residential area was fine. We found parking about 2 minutes away from the restaurant. As we came with my best friend, who, by the way, was the reason why I finally stepped foot here, wait time wasn't long as she came about 5 minutes earlier than I. We came for brunch and it was busy but the wait was not bad at all. The both of us ordered the same items on the menu from both the drinks, the main and dessert - a sangria, Shakshuka with lamb, and beignets. We also brought our daughters with us. They ordered a cheeseburger with a side of caesar salad and a mac n cheese dish from the kids menu. Our orders were delicious, although I was expecting the shakshuka dish to be heftier. For the price - $17. xx with an additional $4 to add lamb - it was a little disappointing, to be honest, especially since it was lacking in the lamb department. I was still hungry but thankfully I had my 4 year old's leftover cheeseburger and salad to fill me right up. As for the beignets, it was good. I don't have anything to compare it to since I don't know what an actual beignet tastes like. Would I return? Sure.

Finally got a chance to try it at noon today, and it was a great experience! Environment: The overall vibe is very American. There were TVs on the walls constantly playing various ball games, like today's playoff game between the Thunder and the Lakers. It was pretty busy on the weekend, especially the outdoor seating area, which was almost full. The building is an old structure dating back to the 1900s. Though it shows its age, it's very clean both inside and out--you can tell the owner really cares. Service: Our waitress was very, very friendly and professional. She gave us great recommendations, always served with a smile, checked in on us during the meal, and refilled our water. Very satisfied! Taste: Pizza: There's a funny little story: supposedly, Marco Polo went to China and saw pies, but didn't know how to wrap the filling inside, so he just put it on top--and thus the pizza was born. Personally, I think this is a myth, or many people have started fantasizing about Marco Polo because they think he was too great. But according to various unearthed historical records in China, Marco Polo never actually went to China. In fact, around 2010, more than 20 scholars organized an event called "Retracing Marco Polo's Route." After completing the journey and comparing it to what Marco Polo himself recorded, most of them concluded that he probably never made it to China. Sorry, I have a strong urge to share--went off on a long tangent about Marco Polo. But the pizza was really delicious. It should be truly fire‑baked, not oven‑baked. The sauce was well‑balanced, and the toppings were generous and fresh. My wife and I ate more than half of it! Salad: The dressing and cheese were very generously applied, and the greens were fresh. Chicken wings: They had a pleasant sweet‑savory taste, just right. Unlike most American restaurants where they're too salty or too sweet, these were perfectly balanced. All the dipping sauces were good. Overall, highly recommended!
