I wanted to like this place so much! The food in the photos looked delicious, so we gave it a shot. If I had to describe the food overall, it would be soggy and generic. Other than the biscuits (which were delicious), everything tasted like it came out of a box or a can. The gravy was watery and flavorless, which was a shame because it didn't really stick to the biscuits. The potatoes and hash browns had zero crispiness to them. The eggs were chewy, so much so that you had to use a knife to cut through them. But the saddest, most disappointing part of the meal was the waffle. It was so soft that even a knife wouldn't fully cut through it. I ended up using my hands to pull it apart. The "maple" syrup is some no-name brand made with corn syrup which made the waffle inedible. Our meal was nearly $60 with a tip and drinks. We could have saved $40 by going to the grocery store and making breakfast ourselves. I hate to give a local business a bad review, but I wanted to give an honest take on our experience. read more

We were at the VA Medical Center for an appointment and wanted some place close for a mid morning breakfast. This came up at the top of the list for Yelp so off we went. Easy to find, right on the main street with a nice large parking lot. You enter and the very nice person at the counter who is standing in front of the huge menu on the wall takes your order, gives you a number and then you find a seat and they bring out your food. My friend who eats like an 8 year old LOVES this spot. She took me here for lunch. The person taking orders was friendly and the place was clean. The food came pretty quickly. My eggs were perfect and the biscuit was moist and buttery. The bacon however was a bit tough to bite through and the sausage a little overcooked/dry. I'm not a huge coffee drinker but the campfire drink was pretty tasty as well. Overall, I would definitely visit again. A biscuit formed into a pizza with all of the breakfast toppings, eggs and really good gravy sauce. A lot of people do biscuits and gravy and most nail the biscuits, but jack up the gravy. My biscuit sandwich was good, but it was missing something for me - I don't know if I needed some type of sauce, more crispy bacon, or something else. It was a pretty decent size as well compared to a McDonald's biscuit sandwich - but if you made me pick which one I wanted, I may lean towards McD's. We settled for water to drink and it was cold and refreshing. It was self serve at the front but they kept it full. The size of the place isn't bad. The kitchen is up front near where you place your order and they have a couple tables over on that side as well. Then there is an additional room with not tables where they make some of the coffee drinks. As mentioned, the food was coming out fast and seemed to keep up with the crowds. The My food was bland lacked seasoning everywhere. The gravy which should have been a secondary star of the plate needed salt which i hardly ever put one things, and pepper badly. Throughout every bite all I could taste is the green onion they used as a garnish, that was the most flavor. My drink good but it is hard to mess up a red bull with a few pumps of peach syrup. My wife bowl had the green onion flavor also but her potato bowl was good. She did season it extra but the diced potatoes were seasoned also adding the flavor layer needed. I liked her coffee it had 3 shots they said but I think it only had 2. She would have added more shots I disagree. My recommendation would be they address the seasoning of the egg wash they use, gravy, and has browns. If they are going to keep there dipping biscuits they need to revamp the entire things. The perfectly golden brown biscuits, soft and buttery, provided the ideal base for the bacon, egg, and cheese in my breakfast sandwich. I have a preference for sandwiches that use cheddar or other cheeses rather than American sliced cheese (which this one came with cheddar). The melted cheese atop the eggs and the crispy, non-greasy bacon were a delightful combination. The loaded hash browns, garnished with green onions, sour cream, and shredded cheese, added a savory element to the meal. The waffle, with its golden brown, crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior, was a good treat topped with blueberries and strawberries. You will have to ask for syrup packets as they are not provided at the table. A friend of mine tried a scone and found it to be sweet and served warm he highly approves. In addition to a specialty latte, coffee, or other drink Biscuit House offers bottled drinks, although the selection is limited, and a self-serve water station. The service was efficient, with the food arriving promptly. The waitstaff were courteous and attentive, providing a standard level of service.
