    Cardamom chai
    Maggie L.

I was disappointed none of the seasonal lattes I saw on IG was available. I opted for a hot Cardamom Chai. It's a good and strong Chai - cardamom forward, and spicy from ginger. My friend ordered a Breakfast Sandwich Special, which is a biscuit sandwich with sweet potato spread, fried egg, bacon kimchi - she said it's delicious and filling.

Such a gem in the Tacoma area for a breakfast and cafe spot. The navy blue urban and minimalist ambiance is a perfect environment to study or catch up with friends in. I enjoyed grabbing a bite of their BEC sandwiches and Kimchi Cheesesteaks. Their cardamom chai is also DEFINITELY a must-try as an avid chai latte addict. Their series on TikTok and Instagram on opening up their business is also really inspiring and heartwarming to watch, so I would also recommend checking those out. :)

Stopped by Third Space on a day trip to Tacoma and it was a nice, peaceful respite to our day. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the space is a comfortable, well-lit place. We especially liked sitting in the little couch by the front window. My hubs had a Cortado that came with the traditional side of sparkling water and I had the strawberry agua fresca. Everything was delicious and refreshing. Last but not least, they have a clean, all-gender bathroom in the back hallway. Next time we're in Tacoma, we will visit again!

So good!!! The combination of Hot Mama breakfast sandwich and the Maple Sea Salt Latte with almond milk was legit an explosion in my mouth! The flavor was so good! The service was super friendly and very helpful to decide what to order. The ambiance is a vibe. Is a great size space, clean and simple. I highly recommend. Today was my first time and I will definitely be back!

Love this new cafe in Tacoma! After trying it out for the first time about a month ago, I've been back 2 more times. While it's paid street parking only, finding parking hasn't been an issue and it's relatively inexpensive compared to Seattle. The space is modern and well decorated, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. As a non-coffee drinker, I've tried the blueberry milk, mango-yuzu, and strawberry agua fresa and they were all delicious. My boyfriend loves their creative coffees. We've also gotten the BEC on multiple occasions because it's delicious. Super crispy bacon in between a buttery flaky biscuit. I generally don't like biscuits because I find them dry, but Third Space changed my mind. We ordered the kimchi cheesesteak last time and it was equally delicious in a different way. I also tried the raspberry cruffin which was nice and crisp on the outside but soft and flaky on the inside. Of note, the pastries are from Lobo Bakery. Overall, 5 stars for everything done so well. Third Space is a new favorite and we will definitely be back.

First time visiting will definitely be back. The space is clean and welcoming. We came for a quick birthday breakfast before taking my sister to the airport. Ordering was easy and friendly interaction with everyone. The coffee beverages were delicious and the breakfast sandwiches were ordered were amazing full of flavor cheese was melted biscuits were great a crisp outside and soft in the center.

Came here for breakfast and coffee and left wanting to come back! Ducha. Cute spot in downtown Tacoma. The owners have done a nice job making a welcoming and cozy space for breakfast, lunch, and coffee. I had the Hot Mama breakfast sandwich and the Cardamom Chai. The sandwich was the right level of spice with a perfectly cooked, egg, bacon, cheese, and arugula as well as sweet Calabrian peppers and a chili aioli on a deliciously flaky fresh made biscuit. The chai was also delicious and the cardamom was the perfect addition. We will definitely be back!

Visited again after a few months! Still great tasting food & drinks. Always greeted by kind & friendly staff! Lots of seating & outlets for guests visiting/staying to work and study. A very very cute and amazing cafe addition to Tacoma!

Saw this place on TikTok and it had so many amazing reviews i had to check it out! Did not disappoint the food is amazing and the staff is so kind. I got the pecan latte and Mortadella and pesto sandwich

    Delicious Raspberry and Hibiscus pastry!

Downtown Tacoma really needed a place like this. Especially for the lunch crowd. I was at the end of my rope with trying to treat myself during the work week to eat out during my lunch break. I used to go to other restaurants that worked with the lunch crowd and after getting poor food quality (as in mold in my food) and online orders that seemed to always be inaccurate there seemed few options and diversity left for lunch. I have a pretty heavy tolerance for mistakes involving orders and customer service so it has to be pretty bad in order for me to walk away. So this is definitely a breathe of fresh air. I knew Third Space was doing a soft opening which often means it isn't quite fully operational yet so I waited a few weeks until they were. I got a wonderful Caprese type sandwich (sorry, the exact name of the sandwich I can't recall but it also had meat in it) with some pesto sauce that was absolutely wonderful. I also got a pastry which was Raspberry and Hibiscus flavored that was wonderful! To drink I saw that they had Horchata which I love getting and it didn't disappoint in the slightest. Very good quality food and friendly service will definitely have me coming back here!

Great addition to Downtown Tacoma right next to Jin Jin Matcha. I came during the soft opening right at 8am on the dot and as soon as I walked in the customers started piling in. I'm glad I was the first one there. I got the orange spice latte, which was my very first time trying orange coffee. It really works! The citrus heightened the coffee flavor and for a latte the coffee has a good strong taste. I also ordered the cheddar chive biscuit and it was so good. Will get this over and over again. The biscuit came out hot and fresh and it was a massive biscuit. It was not dry at all and very flaky.

Sausage egg and cheese and Biscuit special

Great new addition to the Tacoma food scene. Service was fast and friendly. A place for a quick bite or sit down and stay awhile. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches and two drinks. The biscuit sandwiches were good and full of flavor, biscuits were really good. Coffee was also good with good flavor.

    Thai Tea w/ Coconut Cream

I love going to this cafe during my breaks at work. The employees have always greeted me with smiles and are great to chat with. The inside of the cafe has relatively dim lighting and music plays in the background. This is a great place to chat with friends or do studying. They recently added new summer drinks to the menu and the Thai tea with coconut cream caught my eye. The Thai tea has a sweet and slightly spicy kick to it. When paired with the coconut cream, the spice is slightly mellowed out but not overly sweet. I will continue to come by whenever I can!

On our most recent visit we tried the nachos, and they were honestly the best nachos I've ever had. The cheese sauce is amazing- not some gross canned stuff. Dirty Oscar's Annex - Disappointing Experience on 6th Ave…read more We came in as a group of seven, and unfortunately the experience went downhill quickly. First, the service was poor and disorganized. One of my friends arrived early and ordered her drink, but it didn't arrive until after I had already received mine -- even after she asked twice. We also had to wait far too long for basic things like napkins and forks because we weren't given enough for everyone. The most frustrating part, however, was the automatic gratuity. At no point were we informed -- verbally or on the menu -- that parties of 6 or more are charged an automatic 20% gratuity. We only discovered it by carefully reviewing our checks. And to make matters worse, the so-called "20%" was not actually 20%. It came out to 24.1%. When we questioned it, the person who said she was the manager claimed "the computer does it automatically." We are a table full of teachers -- and the math was definitely not mathing. We understand and respect gratuity for large parties, especially when the service is great or when it's clearly communicated. But charging more than the stated percentage crosses from poor service into a billing integrity issue. To add to the frustration, there is also a credit card processing fee, which again was not clearly disclosed on the menu and only appeared at the bottom of the receipt. This absolutely should be visibly posted before ordering. They did offer to refund some of the charges, but we declined because it would have taken additional time and we had an event to get to -- and more importantly, it doesn't resolve the core issue of lack of transparency. She also gave each of us a $10 gift card, but again, that doesn't resolve the issue. And honestly, what good is a gift card if we don't plan on returning because of such an awful experience? Overall, this was a very disappointing visit, and not one we would recommend based on service and transparency alone.

My last review was honest but a 1star- now they could have ignored it, denied it or even got rude about it- after all others have (see aspen house) But no, they reached out and asked to open up dialogue- they asked what could be done and they APOLOGIZED- ownership and accountability! The communication was on point and the definitely made good on everything! So we set out to give it another go- and seriously- I may have a new place to hang out! As a non drinker your average joint has water juice or soda- not here The selection of non alcoholic beers and the DELICIOUS MOCKTAILS!!!! A place that doesn't get upset when you order a fancy non alcoholic drink- and you get the feel of being a part of it all not just sippin a soda! Loooved ! Personally hooked on the sweet n tangy- (Sweet & Tangy DHOS Orange, lemon & lime juice, simple, & raspberry puree ) ---delicious! My partner tried a couple non alcoholic beers he didn't even know existed- excellent variety to make everyone feel a part of the crowd!! And if you love a good drink?? They only carry high end liquor and make their drinks definitely top notch! The kind of place that values quality!!! While keeping the prices competitive and honest! Now the food- BRIE- ohhhh the Brie dishes!!! Not many places create food art- creative delicious classic combos with a unique twist! Absolutely the place to check out and try a new dish! Unique items that I'm dying to go back for!!! One definitely to try-- "Apple Brie Grilled Cheese Apple chutney with caramelized onions, granny smith apple slices, brie & cheddar cheese, melted between parmesan crusted 3 Hearts Bread" yummmmmmm The best part though- the people- friendly outgoing crew that you can tell genuinely care about each other and also care about making sure that the people stopping by have a wonderful experience!!! If you're in the area or live near there- check them out- definitely the kinda place to stop in on the regular and make it a thing!!!! Can be smidge hard to find due to construction that should end soon but worth the hunt!!! A total Gem!! Good quality food, excellent service, and a 10/10 place to stop in! The on street parking on MLK Way can be tough to find and there is lots of local traffic including Sound Transit street train. We got very lucky and found two spots just three businesses down. My second concern is the metal chairs used for dining are not a good fit for my 3x body, and can be uncomfortable rather quickly. Most regular folks will have no problems. All of the menu items which is why you come to Three Hearts were absolutely fabulous. We enjoyed some pastries, muffins, croissants and coffee before getting to our breakfast choices. The exterior doesn't exactly wow you at first glance... but then you get to the entrance and it completely shifts. There's this huge pink KitchenAid mixer filled with plants (which I love), and a beautiful door that pulls you right in. Inside, it's a whole different story--warm, thoughtfully decorated, and full of little details that make the space feel inviting and interesting while you dine. The menu is one of the best parts. It's unique, constantly rotating, and offers a variety of options--including some great specialty dishes you don't see everywhere. On this visit, I ordered the Lemon Chicken, and it was absolutely delicious--bright, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My guy went with the Franco Peri Peri, which was also really tasty. Both dishes came with asparagus, which was a nice, simple complement. I did try one of their specialty cocktails--it was good, but honestly not worth the higher price point. After that, I went back to my tried-and-true vodka, cranberry, and Sprite combo. Now, my one real complaint: the bar service. It takes a long time to get drinks. And look... it's a tavern. You kind of expect the bar flow to be quicker and more efficient. It didn't ruin the experience, but it definitely stood out. Overall, Cook's Tavern is still a place I'd come back to again and again--for the food, the atmosphere, and that cozy neighborhood feel. Just maybe order your drinks early

As we came with my best friend, who, by the way, was the reason why I finally stepped foot here, wait time wasn't long as she came about 5 minutes earlier than I. We came for brunch and it was busy but the wait was not bad at all. The both of us ordered the same items on the menu from both the drinks, the main and dessert - a sangria, Shakshuka with lamb, and beignets. We also brought our daughters with us. They ordered a cheeseburger with a side of caesar salad and a mac n cheese dish from the kids menu. Our orders were delicious, although I was expecting the shakshuka dish to be heftier. For the price - $17. xx with an additional $4 to add lamb - it was a little disappointing, to be honest, especially since it was lacking in the lamb department. I was still hungry but thankfully I had my 4 year old's leftover cheeseburger and salad to fill me right up. As for the beignets, it was good. I don't have anything to compare it to since I don't know what an actual beignet tastes like. Would I return? Sure.

Finally got a chance to try it at noon today, and it was a great experience! Environment: The overall vibe is very American. There were TVs on the walls constantly playing various ball games, like today's playoff game between the Thunder and the Lakers. It was pretty busy on the weekend, especially the outdoor seating area, which was almost full. The building is an old structure dating back to the 1900s. Though it shows its age, it's very clean both inside and out--you can tell the owner really cares. Service: Our waitress was very, very friendly and professional. She gave us great recommendations, always served with a smile, checked in on us during the meal, and refilled our water. Very satisfied! Taste: Pizza: There's a funny little story: supposedly, Marco Polo went to China and saw pies, but didn't know how to wrap the filling inside, so he just put it on top--and thus the pizza was born. Personally, I think this is a myth, or many people have started fantasizing about Marco Polo because they think he was too great. But according to various unearthed historical records in China, Marco Polo never actually went to China. In fact, around 2010, more than 20 scholars organized an event called "Retracing Marco Polo's Route." After completing the journey and comparing it to what Marco Polo himself recorded, most of them concluded that he probably never made it to China. Sorry, I have a strong urge to share--went off on a long tangent about Marco Polo. But the pizza was really delicious. It should be truly fire‑baked, not oven‑baked. The sauce was well‑balanced, and the toppings were generous and fresh. My wife and I ate more than half of it! Salad: The dressing and cheese were very generously applied, and the greens were fresh. Chicken wings: They had a pleasant sweet‑savory taste, just right. Unlike most American restaurants where they're too salty or too sweet, these were perfectly balanced. All the dipping sauces were good. Overall, highly recommended!
