Pasta salad, pesto salad and chicken salad

Right next door is the DMV, and I had to get my tabs renewed. How convenient, a curious-looking lunch spot right next door... several well-dressed professionals walking in and out getting lunch to go... Stopped in and I'm so glad I did!! As others said, a very nice salad bar (more than one lettuce/spinach option) with toppings galore and best of all: a few delicious looking pasta salads. Now look, I love me some cold pasta salad. Maybe it's because my mom has made a mean pasta salad in her day, but in the summer I even crave it sometimes. I included a picture of the green salad on the bottom (chicken, almonds, raisins, Italian dressing). However: wish they would've had cranberries, and more choices for cheese! On the top are the pasta salads: pesto and Italian. The Italian was waaay too buttery and I couldn't finish it, but the pesto was perfect; not too much sauce. The ladies working were fast, efficient and friendly. As a convenient, healthier option in Fife, it's too bad Deli USA isn't in my neighborhood.

We had not been here for some time so we decided to give them another try. Some local reviews seem to give a good rating to a restaurant because it is "cheap" - apparently one of their primary criteria. Well this place will be Nirvana. Even the bathroom has dim lighting. All the ingredients appear to be of very low quality (meat, vegetables, etc.) The service is marginal - when I ordered my Roast Beef sandwich - I asked if the meat is rare - to be informed no - all the meat is cooked - apparently lack of knowledge of meat ratings. (I will say the meat was actually medium rare). While service was efficient - it is robotic - feeling they could care less if you came in or come back. My wife had the BBQ sandwich - and she tried a few bites and quit. The BBQ sauce is not enjoyable and the meat is extremely rubbery. [Same complaint she had last time - a few years ago] I did have my Roast Beef sandwich - with all the trimmings and it was not great but I did finish it. Bread was bland, roast beef marginally OK, tomatoes bland. It did look good as the photo shows but the quality of the product needs significant improvement.

Fresh and well made food in a great environment. Worth ignoring the fast food around it to spend a few extra bucks on something good.

I will address two concerns I had first and then get to the good stuff. My only marks on negative side of the ledger may only apply to a few folks. The on street parking on MLK Way can be tough to find and there is lots of local traffic including Sound Transit street train. We got very lucky and found two spots just three businesses down. My second concern is the metal chairs used for dining are not a good fit for my 3x body, and can be uncomfortable rather quickly. Most regular folks will have no problems. All of the menu items which is why you come to Three Hearts were absolutely fabulous. We enjoyed some pastries, muffins, croissants and coffee before getting to our breakfast choices. The breakfast sandwiches, savory Dutch baby, quiche all received high marks. The service was friendly and quick even though they were busy and cook things fresh when you order. Check out their menu for the unique combinations of ingredients and variety of dishes. This is a place you really need to put on your bucket list!

I tried the savory egg sandwich which was good. I wish it had mire garlic aioli and pickled onions to give it a bolder flavor. The cruffins were my favorite! We went around 8pm on a Friday because we wanted to grab a bite, a couple drinks, and check out their karaoke scene. We don't sing often (he NEVER sings, I do on occasion) but we love to watch others! Their setup here is pretty solid with a stage and lighting systems and everything! Plus a super large screen for everybody else to be able to read and sing along. Service here was awesome. Both staff members we encountered were super nice and we got all of our stuff quickly when ordered. They have a super solid lineup of drinks on tap and even some decent wines. My husband and I have learned that it's better for us to order one entree and one app, and we just split everything and we always end up decently full and don't waste much! We got an order of their mozzarella sticks and the Sandbar Burger (their take on a smash burger). Everything was delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by the burger - no frills, just simple and done well. I'm glad that we finally made it in and we'll definitely be back.

I had initially drove past and ended up having to do a u-turn from the adjacent Dawn site. I was happy to get a parking spot close to the entrance, great timing! I was looking forward to checking out this popular market, bakery, and cafe. I ended up wandering along most of the aisles and peered at various displays, bins, and speed carts. It is a bit cramped even with a smaller shopping cart. Add in other shoppers and workers doing restocking concurrently, just exercise caution maneuvering throughout the market. I have shopped at various Eastern European, Ukrainian, and Russian markets located in Everett, Lynnwood, Shoreline, North Seattle, and Tacoma/Parkland. So I had a baseline of what to expect. It had a decent variety that was comparable to other sites. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available for onsite dining. The freshly baked goods, like danishes, croissants, danishes, and breads were arranged on various speed carts. Larger sized and at great value. I was able to snag a large loaf of Ukrainian bread after the initial swarm of folks pounced on the speed carts. I just jumped in, donned a clean food safe glove, and placed a loaf into a bread bag. There are also desserts that grab your attention in the cafe area. It's a bit chaotic with folks wanting cakes from the refrigerated cases and other items from the pastry case. The featured fruit desserts and ginormous filled croissants are a bit pricey though. Despite it being past the lunch rush, I passed on any cafe items and made my way to the checkout area. It was a good haul!

It's really ancoffee place with food and is generally pretty busy. It's in an odd location, feeling kind of industrially located behind a Safeway on a side street, but once inside it feels just like you'd hope it would, a casual relaxed sit down cafe that seems quite pooular. The service was a bit slow when we visited but it was kind of busy. The food we got was decent, nothing spectacular but certainly nothing to complain about. Just reasonably good breakfast fare that is better than most you'd find in the area. It won't be life changing but if you are nearby it is a good spot to hop into and get yourself a bite and coffee. While we sat we decided we would order, we couldn't find menus and kept waiting for a waiter, then someone finally told us ,after we asked , that we had to order in front! I ordered a BLT on a GF bread, I had to pay $2 more for gluten free! I expected a large sandwich for the price, like most the restaurants we've eaten at have been, but this sandwich was small, like a tiny one made at home! The bacon was burnt to a crisp and black, and the bread was super dry, the whole sandwich was dry and tasteless and a disappointment. When it came the side of pickle was missing and I had to ask for it. The only good part of my meal was the chips and my Italian soda! A huge waste of $18 + $$

I overheard one of the employees mention that those items stop being served around 10 p.m., but they looked really good, especially the pasta. Honestly, I was a little overwhelmed at first because there are multiple menus and so many choices. I ended up keeping it simple and ordered a spicy Hawaiian pizza. It was good -- I wasn't a huge fan of the barbecue sauce as the base, but I did like that it actually had some heat. The jalapeños still had the seeds, which gave it a nice kick. I also grabbed a strawberry cupcake, which was delicious and a really good size for only $3. I didn't even get a photo because I scarfed it down immediately -- no regrets. My husband ordered a burger and fries, and he said it was good as well. Overall, the food was solid, and the pricing felt very fair for the portions. I would definitely come back again.

We were out celebrating my buddy's birthday today, and started out next door for some smokes and drinks. I had a plan for some choices for his bday dinner, and he opted with Ms. Jane's inside BJ's Casino. First off... this place is very elegant with a fine dining experience. Secondly, Cassandra was absolutely superb!! We all thoroughly had an amazing experience, from the drinks, appetizers, to our entrees, and the service. The Lavender Martini was top notch, and we also ordered the White Mojito. That mojito was crisp and refreshing! Two spectacular cocktails. As for our meals, undeniably unbelievable!! I ordered the 12oz. Ribeye, with Garlic Potatoes and crisp Broccolini. So crisp and a unique almost vinaigrette flavoring, with a subtle spice. As a side, we ordered the Thousand Layer Potato. My first time ever having this, but seen how it was made on a video. Simply divine. My wife ordered the Braised Bison over Polenta, with some Carrots. This is the tastiest Bison we've ever had!! We finished the evening with a Dubai Chocolate Fudge Sunday, and Cassandra gave us each a spoon to share in this decadence. Needless to say, my buddy had an incredible day of celebration! Turns out it's the former, at least in atmosphere. The service was genuinely lovely from start to finish. The host, server, and table assistants were warm and attentive. No notes there. We went with the ribeye prix fixe, which felt like the obvious call given that Ms. Jane's has built its reputation around it. The menu included a salad, two ribeyes with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and dessert for $150 plus wine. The salad was beautiful and delicious. It just could've used some cheese, and I will die on that hill. The mashed potatoes were legitimately outstanding and nearly redeemed the entire evening on their own. The broccoli was fine. Broccoli is always just fine. Then there were the ribeyes. They were enormous, beautifully presented, and unfortunately not much else. Both cuts had an excessive amount of fat and lacked the depth of flavor you'd expect from a restaurant that's staked its identity on this one dish. We make better steaks at home, which is not something you want to be thinking about after dropping $150 before wine. Dessert closed things out on a high note. A chocolate and vanilla mousse topped with genuinely delicate whipped cream. In the moment we told ourselves we'd come back and try something else. A few days of reflection later, that enthusiasm cooled but it didn't disappear entirely. The service was too good, the mashed potatoes too memorable, and the mousse too solid to write the place off completely. Ms. Jane's clearly has something going on. We just hope the ribeye isn't the thing they're most proud of.
