Shrimp cocktail- very good
Chris D.

The service was amazing!! Sam was our main server and was so great!! Ophelia was a secondary server and also amazing! The food was very good, but honestly have had better at steakhouses. I get it when people say it's a casino steakhouse, but the best steakhouse I've eaten at (many times) is at a casino in Wendover, the Rainbow, so it's not just judging casino food. The desert was the star, next up the shrimp cocktail. The steak was average at best, but overall a good experience....other than the wedge salad which was good, but literally a half head of iceberg lettuce, just too much. I will say, the absolute best thing was Sam Dawson who was singing in the bar. We will be back for happy hour just to hear her.

The views from this rooftop restaurant are great! The ambiance is amazing and the service is wonderful. Most of the food we ordered was good as well, except... The crab and some of the mussels on the seafood tour were overcooked, so the meat turned out really dry. The Tableside Tomahawk was ordered at medium rare but was served closer to rare. While it's not a big deal to leave feedback with the server and ask for the steak to be cooked closer to our liking, it's disappointing to have to do that in the first place at a restaurant of this caliber. Everything still tasted good, but would have preferred if everything was cooked properly the first time. Still a great experience though!

I never knew this restaurant existed at EQC! Head past the hotel lobby and take the elevator up to the 11th floor to get there. The ambiance was nice, I definitely want to come back to hang out at the outdoor lounge. I took my mom to eat here before gambling. We had the ribeye, bone-in filet mignon, Spanish octopus, wild mushrooms and truffle fingerlings. All dishes were tasty and my steak was cooked perfectly. Our server was great too. I'd recommend trying this place out especially if you're already there to gamble!

Bar and steakhouse located on the 11th floor of Emerald Queens Casino and opens at 4pm. The elevator key card will not be activated beforehand. Small dining room but decent size patio with tons of heaters. Live music while you dine. A few tv screens. Happy hour food items Weds-Sundays from 4-6pm. You could also order flights for certain drinks. We sat at the bar and ordered a Paloma and Galaxy Moscow Mule. The Galaxy Moscow Mule was the prettiest drink and unique with the Butterfly Pea Flower flavored ice cubes. I'm familiar with butterfly pea flower when alcohol changes the pH and the color changes but to have it in ice cubes is genius. Fun drink. Don't forget to eat the ice cubes! It has flavor!

Dinner date with my son. We ordered the Creamy Garlic and Artichoke Bisque, Pan-seared Jumbo Scallop, Pan-Roasted Chilean Sea Bass Topped with a lobster, Grilled Filet Mignon & Tiramisu... Everything we had was really delicious. We both enjoyed the food. Will definitely be back with the family. Ambience is upscale, beautiful view at night with all the lights and they have deck with fire place. Service was fantastic, our server was very attentive and nice. Highly recommend and for sure a must try!

Although I wish I could give this place 5 stars, I cannot. Went here for a special occasion and it failed me/us. I was really excited because I was hoping for a wonderful dinner but it lacked service and quality of food. Now, the ambiance was great because you are at the EQC Hotel which is brand new and beautiful. Just entering the garage and going toward the lobby and going to the rooftop restaurant was a nice experience, since it is not busy, and is adjacent to the casino but no casino machines. Once you get to the top, the restaurant itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, they were busy and it didn't seem like they were well staffed so our waiter was nervous. The steak we ordered "medium" was over well done which is not Ok. So told them and they did it again, but you can imagine, to do that it takes time and it is not the best experience. Wish they had compensated us for this lack of details and experience but o-well. I won't be back any time soon.

We had a reservation at 6:45 pm with a request for a window, but got hungry and decided to see if anything was available earlier. We were promptly seated. From start to finish, service was amazing. If you order the tomahawk steak, it comes with two sides and this amazing sauce made with cognac. Drooling. The garlic mash was okay but the Brussels sprouts were 100x better. That, paired with the steak and the sauce. Chef's kiss. The strawberry lemonade was not what I was expecting, given the presentation of everything else, I would have at the very least expected some muddled strawberries in it! The steak was so juicy. Cooked to perfection. Seasoned amazingly. It was so much food for two people that we had to have them box it up for us. Will definitely be back!

A definate must try. The chef definately outdid himself on this dinner for 2. The pre-planned menu explains the dishes. So much passion and flavor in every bite. If you're able to splurge a little on your casino getaway I definately reccomended giving it a try.

Yummy goodness

Was a fantastic experience!!!!!!! The service was amazing and the food was awesome. I look forward to going back. If you do please ask for sever Serena!!! Thanks for making my experience Wonderful

Orange Chocolate Cheesecake

Went here for a birthday celebration and wasn't disappointed. Appetizer scallops were delicious, and ordered the King Salmon and Fillet Mingon which were cooked to perfection. Their dessert selection was hard to choose from, but opted for the orange chocolate cheesecake (yum). The service was top knotch and the view from the 11th floor was special.

An amazing evening, wiith my favorite dining companion. Awesome location especially if your commute only involves an elevator, more on elevators later. Nice little bar With great views and an outside deck with fireplace and heaters, just note no food outside. A little live music occasionally. Small sitting area around bar, note only 1 low table, everything else is a high top. Dinning room is nice with spectacular views of I5 , or the water beyond. Really is nice. Though we admired it from afar, the seafood tower looked AMAZING! We started with the Lobster Bisque @ $17 and the French onion soup@ $14. The Lobster bisque was smooth and velvety on the tongue and had a nice piece of claw meat, something not seen in many places. My French onion soup was good but it would have been better served in a crock. We had the clam chowder the night before and that was great. My companion ordered the Lobster Capellini @ $55 and I ordered the Tuscan Beef Tenderloin Pasta @ $42. Both were outstanding. The tricky part of both dishes is the pasta. You can jazz up any plate with Lobster and Beef Tenderloin but to time the pasta with the proteins, that's the thing. Lobster, Tenderloin and pasta were outrageous. We both loved our plates. As it was my companion's birthday, we both enjoyed a comped desert sampler that complemented our meal. Prices are in keeping with any good restaurant that serves great faire! Get a players card in the casino and get a minimum of 10% discount or more. Also, I believe, Emerald Queen Casino charges no state or local tax on Restaurants. Now, the best part the service! The entire wait staff and bartenders are the star. And 1 star that shines very bright was our waiter, Sam. He was as personable and professional without being overbearing or hovering. We've had great meals that have been ruined by poor service. I sometimes feel like the next "meal" for our wait staff as they hang on you like a vulture. Sam was the final element that made a special evening.

My boyfriend and I were on our way to a reservation at another restaurant in the casino when we noticed advertisements for this restaurant in the elevator. We decided to inquire about the food here instead. This restaurant is conveniently located near the casino and hotel lobby, right by the freeway, and offers a view of the local Tacoma homes. We visited on Valentine's Day around 4:40 PM without a reservation and were fortunate to find seating at the bar. We were informed that the menu here is the same as at their other restaurant. The view was absolutely gorgeous, the ambiance was cozy, and the food was fabulous. While the prices are on the higher end, they are worth it. I ordered the Jumbo Prawns wrapped in bacon and stuffed with crab meat ($45), and my boyfriend had the Cedar Plank Salmon ($39) with a shareable side of asparagus ($13). The staff were very attentive, personable, and professional. This restaurant is excellent for date night, and we can't wait to return to try their Seafood Tower ($125).

New York Steak with asparagus and wild mushrooms
Jaynne L.

We came here to eat for Christmas Eve and it was so worth it! We came in with no reservations and was seated in less than 5 minutes. Our server came by and asked us about drinks. Then she came back and took our main orders. I ordered the ribeye 12oz and my husband got the New York Au Poivre 11oz. We also ordered shareable sides of grilled asparagus and wild mushrooms. We also updated our appetizer to clam chowder and it WAS GOOD!! The ribeye was so tender and the cook was great for medium rare. The mushrooms were out of this world! They put magic in it or something. The asparagus were tasty as well but the tomatoes that came with it weren't great. By the time I finished chewing it, I was taking out the stuff I couldn't eat which was mostly skin. This place was great! Definitely would come here again especially if I want to feel fancy (dress is casual).

For tea we had Princess Grey, Peach Oolong, and one with apple cinnamon. The Grey was the first to go empty haha It's so good. Peach Oolong is just soso. And everyone was super sweet at the cafe, kept checking in on us because we got the back room. In addition, the tea selection they have is on point! Including a smokey tea I'd never heard of that was absolutely fabulous. Don't judge this place by the outside - the decor inside is adorable, with lots of unique and fun antique pieces. The staff is extremely attentive, kind, and even fun! We didn't expect it but there was a live pianist, and he was extremely talented (and funny). My BFF and I are a bit of tea snobs; we've been to tea rooms in both England, Kirland, and Seattle; this one by far has been our favorite. I really can't say enough great things about this place. I hope we can return soon, because it might be one of my new favorite (and unique) places in Tacoma! This really made my bridal party so thank you to the entire staff - we had a great experience!

The food is my favorite part. I can have a beer anywhere, but the food is actually pretty on point minus the nachos, sad to say. Always overcooked, cheese is hardened and well beyond melted, but a massive portion in size. The sandwiches are amazing, the quesadillas are amazing, have yet to make it there before breakfast ends but I'm betting it's probably pretty good. Staff are friendly, efficient, and do well on checking to make sure you're not waiting too long for service without being too bothersome. It gets a little loud, busy and crowded on nights especially on the weekends, but that's typical bar atmosphere. Recently stopped in here for a date night with the wife…read more We've been looking for a decent replacement ever since Tacoma lost the Rhein Haus. Since my wife is of German heritage, brats and kraut are a thing in our life. The menu here looked really good, so we stopped in our 29th anniversary. I will say, there is a parking lot across the street. For those who've been in the area for a while and remember past times, it used to be a used car lot Luckily I found an empty spot on the street right out front, so I grabbed it. But yeah, parking in this area can be tricky. Just be aware that there is the lot across the street on Puyallup Avenue, the entrance is from "Court A", which looks like an alley but is technically a road. Tacoma is fun like that. So let's talk food. We ordered the Brätzel, because my wife loves a good soft pretzel with some beer cheese. This one states that it's a beer cheese soup, and it was a bit thinner than a typical beer cheese. But it had a really good flavor. It was not gritty at all like some beer cheese can be (I'm looking at you Hops&Drops). I'm not a huge pretzel fan, but I will say that I tried a portion of it and enjoyed this one. The pretzel had a good flavor and the beer cheese soup was great. We also split the Landjäger / Käse Platte. Let's get one thing clear, this thing is bigger than it looks on the menu. There's a lot here. I'm really not sure exactly which of the four cheese were which. If you go by the description on the Käse Platte then it should be Bavaria Bleu Crème, Raclette, Emmentaler and Butterkäse. The Bleu Crème is easy to spot. The rest look similar really. But each had a unique flavor and all tasted absolutely wonderful. The cured beef and pork sausages were good, but the cheese stole the show here. We also shared the Berliner Platte for a main. Again, I can not stress this enough, there is A LOT of food here. the two of us had no chance of eating all this. This plate comes with the following sausages; Berliner Bratwurst, Smoked Cheese, Spicy Cheese, Chicken Andouille & Bockwurst as well as being served with sauerkraut and you get to pick two sides. We chose the Spätzle and Pommes (fries). All of this was amazing. The spicy sausage and the andouille were too spicy for my wife, but we knew that going in. If you have a group and are wanting to sample the many wursts here, I would highly recommend this plate. Now, let's talk service. I don't remember our server's name, but she was so great. Very friendly, very tentative, very good at her job. This was exactly the kind of service I look for when I go out to a restaurant. I don't want some tablet where I'm interacting with a faceless machine, I don't want a kiosk, I want a real person who engages with us and helps make our experience the best it can be, and this place gets it. The staff here is on point, they are good, they take good care of you and the experience made s want to come back. This place is for sure at the top of our list for German food here in Tacoma. If you have not been, you need to stop by. It's not big, it's not fancy, you'll drive right by it if you aren't paying attention. But this place is by far the perfect replacement for our missing sausage haus. We are so glad we stopped in.

As we arrived, we weren't sure if needed to seat ourselves but by the time we were about to look at a sign, a kind waitress let us know that we can seat ourselves anywhere and brought us menus. I saw that they had tables with fires which was really cool but unfortunately there were a lot of people sitting there so we just sat at the longer tables. The interior of this place is huge and bright! They have plenty of seating inside and it looks like they do outdoor seating which is dog friendly. We were told that they will have days where they have musicians playing German music and that it attracts quite a large crowd. Our waitress Sara was hilarious, personable and did a great job of taking care of us. She really made the visit all the more memorable and fun! We did order a lot: Berliner Platter with chips and spatzle, Berliner Sliders with fries and a bratzel. We did not realize just how huge the portions were for everything, like the platter was going to be big but we weren't expecting the amount of food for other order. Everything tasted absolutely amazing though! We really enjoyed everything and they do not mess around with flavors cause you taste exactly what they advertised. The house made chips were also fantastic and probably some of the best I've ever had. My boyfriend and I are excited to return and definitely will be sharing this spot to others as we thought we had to drive to Leavenworth for good German food but it is closer to home than we thought!
