The Riverbank is our normal go to spot to eat before we hit the casino floor. Was able to be seated right away. We had ordered the shrimp scampi pasta. A normal go-to favorite. The sauce is normally very creamy- but this night it was more on the oily side which was not pleasing to see on the plate. We also noticed that this time around, we received more bread with the pasta; in which we normally get two pieces but had gotten four this night. The other item we had ordered is the California burger. Great portion sizing. Had the option of fries or in house made chips- and went with the fries instead. I am here to finish up my review that I left behind from many years ago. I remember I had a dinner voucher from winning something at EQC. I had a dinner date with my husband next, and we chose to have some Asian food. It was a bummer to me that at the time there was no buffet, but the casino was still going through some major renovation all around. The restaurant was clean and nice, of course. I remember we ordered so much food, but I definitely had no regrets because who would not love to eat good Asian food at the casino, right? I am glad I am able to get active in writing again and finishing up my review! I believe my husband (from the picture) opted in for an American sub sandwich with French Fries, and he finished the whole thing! Our go to when at emerald queen. So many great choices but the Asian and Vietnamese seem to be our choice every time. This visit,had the pho and it was great. The fried rolls and fresh spring rolls can't be topped. We were told this was peanut sauce,I don't know how they do it ,but it was smoky perfection, no peanut taste at all. Riverbank Express is a good casino restaurant. They have a large menu consisting of American and Asian foods. The food is very affordable and flavorful. I highly recommend ordering the fried spring roll, it was delicious. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. I had an issue with my bill, I forgot to provide my players club to get a discount. They refunded my bill and took the time to rectify the situation. It's not the best pho, but it's not the worst pho I've had. Came here with friends to check out the newly remodeled EQC and we decided to eat here. This place is massive and the menu is almost as large. You can order all kinds of cuisines including burgers, sandwiches, pho, rice bowls, Thai food, pastas, fish and chips, quesadillas, and so much more. With such a large menu, this is like the casino's version of Cheesecake Factory. It's great that they can make so many things, but they don't make anything exceptionally well. For my pho, the broth was a little light for my tasting and the cuts of meat didn't look the freshest. Nonetheless, I did finish the pho, so it wasn't inedible. Again, it wasn't exceptional, but you know what also wasn't exceptional? The service. It wasn't because our server didn't do her job, but she was in charge of serving so many tables. They have to hire more people to help out. In addition to our dishes, we also ordered sodas and ice tea and it felt like eons between refills. If EQC is reading this, please don't have your poor servers take care of 12-15+ tables at a time. If you have a group that can't decide on what to eat at the casino, go here. The food is above average, but just don't expect high quality cuisine. However, as we were walking out, I did see someone at another table order the spaghetti and meatballs and that didn't look too bad. I'll probably order that if we ever go back. read more

The place is so-so. I've had a burger, which was pretty good. I've had the combo teriyaki, which was under seasoned and lacked any flavor other that salt. And I had a fried seafood basket which was for the most part soggy, not crispy, and also under seasoned. Nothing like a mushy fried oyster to start your lunch. My service has always been decent. The ambiance is a step down from the other cafe. It seems very plain and generic. Uninviting if you will. The menu is sort of an odd mix of American, Italian, Vietnamese, and Thai with a little Chinese and Mexican splashed in there for good measure. They were clearly trying to appeal to a wide variety of gamblers, but instead is just seems clumsy. Probably won't be back. read more

Finally was able to order off the American/Vietnamese menu since staying later at casino. We've wanted to try this before but they don't switch over from full Vietnamese menu to other until 2:00 pm which is different from what EQ website has as 11:00, doesn't make sense honestly to be so limited until after peek lunch time. Anyway hubby got the fried oysters/fries and I got the char-grilled chicken Vietnamese cold noodle salad. Our service was excellent! Our food took a bit but came out looking good. Only issue we have is serving fried entree on top of the fries in the cone cylinder. This is second entree we've had and what happens is the batter fried whatever it is ( our case fish and oysters) end up causing the fries to steam underneath losing all the crispiness! Most people want crispy fish and the especially fries. Please put entree on plate separately!!!! Fries can maybe be ok in cone but alone. He really enjoyed the oysters. I thought it looked like smaller portion for the $18 price. Should come with slaw or more oysters/fries. My chicken rice noodle salad was really tasty. This version wasn't served with mixed salad greens like I was used too but did have few diced veggies. I asked for some Asian dressing too because it's really bland with just fish sauce. Mine too was $18 but took me 3x's longer to eat that hubby's dish. I'd order again and he said he would too. Wish the lighting was a bit dimmer, seemed a bit cafeteria like compared to the nice restaurant next to it that's less expensive on certain similar items. When I got it home, it was still warm and to my delight, It is one of the BEST meals I had the pleasure of gobbling down! This is my third time dining here and I thought things would change by now. Unfortunately, everything has stayed the same. My first time was good maybe because I ordered Togo. Second time was durning Covid. We had a party of 10 all ordering pho/soup. Requiring all the same garnishes such as lime, bean sprouts, mint, hosin and Sriracha. Broth was luke warm. Server was super slow. By the time we got her attention about our sauce and garnishes it was too late we all had eating half of our food. Ordering drinks from the server in the restaurant is extremely disappointing. It's actually faster to go to the nearest bar. Last night visit was the same. Party of 11. Half of the party ordered rice places that require fish sauce for their pork chop. The fish sauce didn't arrive till about 10-15 mins after the food was delivered. Come to find out the sauce was already pre poured into Togo containers. Not sure what took so long. It was extremely dead being that it was a Monday and there were 2 other servers and our server had a total of 2 tables which included us! Servicing is lacking. I had the bun bo hue the meat was extremely tough. It was lacking lemongrass flavor. Onions were cut super thick. The pork chop with shrimp isn't authentic at all. It should've been grilled. Popcorn shrimp doesn't go with this meal at all. Food is overpriced for the quality and the service. read more

This restaurant is located inside the Emerald Queen Casino at the Tacoma location. This is the newly remodeled casino. Me and my fiancé went to this restaurant twice and both times we had a horrible experience. It is not really the food but an employee that works at this restaurant. Every time we go there she serves our food and has a really bad musty body odor smell. I wanted to make a complaint and called the casino but they went you to come to the security department and fill out a form and present you id. Upon talking to another management the person that works here apparently has a medical condition . Why would a business put a person with that type of medical condition in any food department. As another yelper May mentioned, they undercook their burgers and do NOT follow directions. We asked for WELL DONE burgers, not that hard of a request right?! Wrong. We wait OVER 30 minutes, and sit and sit only for medium rare burgers to be placed down. After a few bites and a cut through, we discover they were undercooked. We assumed the extended time of sitting around and waiting was to ensure the burger was thoroughly cooked. So we sent it back, and had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes while our fries got cold. The next ones come out well done like we had originally asked, but my husband's bacon was burnt. Asked to speak to the manager, and he chose to talk over us, gaslight, and blame us instead of the incompetent cooks. He says, "when we hear well done, we assume ya want EVERYTHING well done, including the bacon hahaha!" Not funny. Then he continued to insult us, and say, "next time, say you want WELL WELL WELL DONE!!!" How much more clearly can't we ask for a simple request?! Didn't offer to comp us or anything.
