We were out celebrating my buddy's birthday today, and started out next door for some smokes and drinks. I had a plan for some choices for his bday dinner, and he opted with Ms. Jane's inside BJ's Casino. First off... this place is very elegant with a fine dining experience. Secondly, Cassandra was absolutely superb!! We all thoroughly had an amazing experience, from the drinks, appetizers, to our entrees, and the service. The Lavender Martini was top notch, and we also ordered the White Mojito. That mojito was crisp and refreshing! Two spectacular cocktails. As for our meals, undeniably unbelievable!! I ordered the 12oz. Ribeye, with Garlic Potatoes and crisp Broccolini. So crisp and a unique almost vinaigrette flavoring, with a subtle spice. As a side, we ordered the Thousand Layer Potato. My first time ever having this, but seen how it was made on a video. Simply divine. My wife ordered the Braised Bison over Polenta, with some Carrots. This is the tastiest Bison we've ever had!! We finished the evening with a Dubai Chocolate Fudge Sunday, and Cassandra gave us each a spoon to share in this decadence. Needless to say, my buddy had an incredible day of celebration! We booked a reservation at Ms. Jane's for date night, and I'll admit the concept had me curious. Fine dining inside a bingo hall is either a stroke of genius or a dare someone actually followed through on. Turns out it's the former, at least in atmosphere. The service was genuinely lovely from start to finish. The host, server, and table assistants were warm and attentive. No notes there. We went with the ribeye prix fixe, which felt like the obvious call given that Ms. Jane's has built its reputation around it. The menu included a salad, two ribeyes with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and dessert for $150 plus wine. The salad was beautiful and delicious. It just could've used some cheese, and I will die on that hill. The mashed potatoes were legitimately outstanding and nearly redeemed the entire evening on their own. The broccoli was fine. Broccoli is always just fine. Then there were the ribeyes. They were enormous, beautifully presented, and unfortunately not much else. Both cuts had an excessive amount of fat and lacked the depth of flavor you'd expect from a restaurant that's staked its identity on this one dish. We make better steaks at home, which is not something you want to be thinking about after dropping $150 before wine. Dessert closed things out on a high note. A chocolate and vanilla mousse topped with genuinely delicate whipped cream. In the moment we told ourselves we'd come back and try something else. A few days of reflection later, that enthusiasm cooled but it didn't disappear entirely. Upon walking in we both were taken back by the beautifully clean setup there and that left me with high expectations. The seating was amazing and they even had a short stool they brought to the table for my wife's purse. We celebrated her birthday that evening and we had a neatly crafted note there waiting. The wait for our food was really long and nobody really followed up with us and it seemed like it took a long time to get to different points of the dinner. A box for our food, a check, etc. The food was good. A little disappointed that a 70 dollar filet was a bit dry and chewy on the outside. Only a few center bites had some juice to the medium rare order. It lacked flavor as well in our opinion. The thousand layer potatoes were delicious. Nice and crunchy on the outside. Loved it. Got a side of green beans that were undercooked. Only had a couple and took them home knowing I'd need to cook them more. The lamb chops were great. Polar opposite of my order, left me wishing it had the same care the chops had. Her Brussels sprouts were on point as well. The mashed potatoes were really wet and bland. The crunchy outside were the only desirable points to that side. They gave a little amuse' bouche which was probably the best thing brought to our table. A chip of some sort with different things on top. Wow. So much going on and throughout the bite it brought all the flavors of what it was comprised of. Amazing. Out of the park. I got to experience this hidden gem inside of BJs casino with my wife for Valentine's Day. It was great they had a special menu, lovely heart shaped table settings with other lovely Valentine's Day themed decor. Our waiter and the staff were so pleasant and kind. Quiet, peaceful, clean and the employees go out of their way to cater to your needs. The ladies were all phenomenal. Extra steps like amouse bouche and flavored waters took the experience to another level. Burgers were delicious. The pistachio Brie (add bacon) was so good I can't find words to describe it. A Hidden Gem in Fife! Ms Jane's is such a great find. It's upstairs from BJ's Bingo, and once inside, the restaurant is beautifully decorated--we especially loved the artwork. My wife ordered Pan Seared Scallops, Picanha and Stawberry Shortcake. I ordered Beef Carpaccio, Filet Mignon, and Peanut butter layer cake. We ordered Duckhorn Melot, one of my favorite wine. My wife stated Picanha was over cooked so I switched meals with her. She enjoyed the Filet and stated the best Scallops she has eaten ever. Either I didnt notice but the view was not the greatest. It's commemorates the traditional practice of how the tribe caught duck -- by having the children run along the river to scare the ducks into the waiting nets set up by the grownups. We enjoyed the restaurant so much that all of our photos were taken of leftovers / to go food at home. Please trust that it was all originally plated beautifully, ignore the take out containers! Letting us enjoy the dinner and take our time but also not making us wait between courses or drinks. The chef came and checked on us which is a really nice touch, but I suspect this place will be really busy in the coming year so he may not always have time for that. The welcoming staff and everyone that we passed was just super friendly. If we had just one piece if constructive criticism, we would suggest a lot heavier seasoning of just salt and pepper on the steak. We had the ribeyes which were cooked to perfection but just needed heavier seasoning. Still really, really good especially with the bourbon sauce. Try not to lick the bowl of sauce at the end. It's that good. The peanut butter layer cake was decadent and a wonderful treat that we shared at home. The bottom layer was overcooked just a tad but the overall dish was just to die for! Please do yourself a favor and try the Mountains Out cocktail. It's like nothing you've ever tried. Visually a beautiful drink and the blackberry puree / cream combo is just too good. Make sure you save room and calories for multiple! They provided complimentary coat check and also a small stool to set my purse on which was a very nice touch I have never seen even at restaurants at twice the price. Very impressed with that. I had made reservations here for my cousins birthday and she raves about it as well. Inside was very clean and what you would think of when you read fine dining. Wow! I was blown away!! Full disclosure, I came here for a Yelp event where we tried every dish on the menu and heard the inspiration behind each. Even knowing that, I was blown away. I ate the best salmon of my life. It's cooked in a charcoal oven, which gives it the texture of baked salmon but the flavor of smoked salmon. It was fantastic. The service was fantastic and each server seemed so nice and genuine. I also loved the "thousand layer potato", which is the restaurants take on a pave potato. It was quite literally the best potato I've ever eaten. It comes with their filet mignon. The prices are not cheap, but to me it quite reasonable for the elevation of food and service you get. I will most certainly be back with my girlfriend so she can experience it as well! The only thing I would critique is trying to figure out how to limit the affect of the cigar lounge next door. When sitting next to the door, I could tell the next door with a cigar lounge due to the smell. If you love cigars this may be a perk, but personally I would ask to be seated further back. It was absolutely beautiful and had uniquely gorgeous artwork and a charming fireplace. For an appetizer, I started with the uncrostini, a mozzarella foam on a delicatable bread crumble. First, the food and drinks were excellent and well presented. No complaints whatsoever about the food. The service was the thing that left us upset by the time we left. We were there on a Wednesday night and there were only 3 tables besides ours, so it wasn't busy at all. We ordered a Ceaser salad which we never got, the waiter said he forgot. We ordered another set of drinks which were served to another table. (Funny thing is, that couple drank our drinks and never told the server that they didn't order drinks.) So, we waited and waited, finally a server walked by and we asked for our drinks, she said that she made a mistake and gave our drinks to someone else. The service was poor and very slow. Located upstairs in BJ's Bingo & Gaming, the decor and scale is similar to an upscale Vegas style restaurant, but with a Native American theme.
