We did not have reservations but the hostess was very gracious and sat us immediately at a quaint table for two. I had probably the best ravioli dish I have ever had! It was the Pear Ravioli - yes stuffed ravioli with pears with a roasted onion cream sauce and topped with candied walnuts, cranberries and blue cheese crumbles. Absolutely delicious!!! My husband had the Pescatora. It had lobster, prawns, clams, calamari, scallops, and mussels in a zesty marinara sauce served over tagliatelle pasta. First off, the location is beautiful, though it feels like the restaurant may be leaning a bit too heavily on that alone. The appetizers were a highlight -- the Brussels sprouts and baked brie were both excellent -- and the salads (arugula and iceberg) were fresh and well done. Unfortunately, the pasta fell short. I ordered the lamb bolognese, and the celery was cut too large instead of being finely diced, which threw off the texture. More importantly, the lamb flavor was nearly nonexistent. The biggest issue, though, was the pasta itself -- gummy and overcooked, not al dente. My father-in-law asked for a refill on coffee, they took his cup, then came back and told him there would be a charge, which is ridiculous, but we agreed, and then they never brought the coffee. Overall, I'd only return for appetizers and drinks on the deck in the summer. read more

We celebrated our anniversary dinner here last month. This restaurant is right next to the beach /waterfront, which shares a parking lot with the beach goers. Unfortunately, we did not know this so finding parking was a bit of a headache. The staff was very kind when I called them explaining we are running late since we couldn't find parking. Once inside we were promptly seated at our table. The inside is small, romantic and has some views of the water. The food we ordered was delicious. Although it was a busy weekend evening the food came out quickly. The drinks and desserts were also very tasty. I would recommend this place just be mindful of the parking! read more

Made a reservation last minute. I was pleasantly surprised they had space on Mother's day. Arrived 15mins early for our 6:15 reservation and checked in and waited outside. The inside waiting area was packed. We got seated early and got bread and water. The busser made sure we always had enough water. It took a really long time before a server arrived. We ordered drinks. I noticed the server was also making drinks. A couple sat at the bar and then ordered. They got their drinks. We waited and waited. When our drinks arrived (6:40) we ordered an appetizer "Lox". The drinks were so good. Our appetizer again took a little while to arrive (6:57) but it was delicious. We ordered diner when the appetizer arrived. For diner we ordered Risotti Di Amore and the Short Rib. Diner arrived faster(7:14) and was absolutely delicious. The server again took some time to come to our table. We wanted creme brulee for desert but they were out. We had the butter cake(7:57) it was yummy. We also had the Lemon curd dome, it was ok. I'm so in love with this restaurant. I've been three times now in the last three years, and it's always a 10/10 experience across the board. Most importantly, the food & service is impeccable and consistent each time! My partner and I visited last week and thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas like atmosphere and food. First off WOW. This place has exceeded so much of my expectations and the service goes above and beyond. We made reservations and the hostess let us choose where we would like to sit (great start already) and then we sat down and our water was filled already for us like ok even more wow! Our waitress was so sweet I'm not good at names but she was amazing, we had asked her for recommendations since we've never been here before and pretty much went with what she has said. They were all very attentive especially when we had accidentally dropped our silverware! Long story short we came here to celebrate our anniversary to which they do a free complimentary wine and it was delicious! Food was amazing, I noticed for my Alfredo pasta it must've been hand made since the cut of the noodle isn't the usual ones you would see, I've never had salmon alfredo pasta so that is now something I will crave in the future. We made reservations for 6pm but got there earlier for happy hour. Parking was easy. We had two drinks at the bar then moved to our table (great water view). My wife chose this place for my birthday dinner. Don't expect anything special after being asked what you're celebrating. I got a candle I couldn't blow out and a happy birthday only after we ordered dessert. I'm not sure there would have been any sort of celebration had we not purchased dessert. Felt strange. Outside of that underwhelming and honestly unnecessary exchange we enjoyed the experience. We ordered a second cocktail, Avacado Relleno (a special), salmon Alfredo, and bone in T-bone steak. Definitely hats off to the chef. We enjoyed every bite of our entrees. Our server, Bella, was super sweet and was the only one working but did not miss a beat. To circle back dessert was not tasty and I should have passed on it. It's probably was the only thing I didn't enjoy. My wife had hers to-go and didn't enjoy it either. Could just be preference of texture and flavors. My butter cake seemed more like a biscuit and was bitter. Overall I'd come again for the dinner menu and specials. Not sure how this place gets 4 stars. Pasta dish was gross - the sauce was broke and the seafood in it was fishy - nasty. 45 bucks. The bread is served with the very cheapest olive oil and balsamic - the bread itself is really bad. Zero crumb, dense, no flavour. The ribeye steak is not seasoned and 1/2 inch thick. 75 bucks - rip off!! Fish and chips - must have been frozen - dry - not horrible, but nothing good. It's a shame that the food is so weak. The food was phenomenal - best Chilean Sea Bass from one, melt in your mouth steak from another, and Mmm's and Ahhhs all around. This was our first visit, but definitely not our last. My folks keep talking about it and who they'll bring next. The service was beyond expectations, friendly, professional, and love that it's family owned. Nya even added garlic & parmesan to our already wonderful olive oil bread dip. You can't get any better with the water views, outside seating when it's nice, and nice interior seating as well. Wow! What an amazing dinner my family and I had here at Gino's!!! I cannot say enough incredible things about the food and the owner, Gino himself along with his two beautiful Daughters! His daughter Alexis was our waitress and she took excellent care of us. The food tasted phenomenal and each dish was truely crafted and cooked with love. We ordered the Calamari which was very crispy yet tender, oysters that were grilled to perfection and were very fresh! The beet salad was beautifully executed with a tasty dressing. The Brie cheese served with crostini melted in your mouth and was paired beautifully with a fig preserve, candied walnuts and a honey basalmic drizzle! We all ordered around the menu for our entrees. The scallops were truely pan seared to perfection! The halibut was a generous and thick cut yet it was also cooked all the way through while remaining juicy. The tenderloin Medallions with a Demi glaze.. wow! The Demi glaze was such a nice pairing with the steak itself which by the way was very tender and cooked to a perfection Medium rare. It truely also melted in your mouth! The raviolis were all cooked all dente and each sauce really was knocked out of the ball park. We all finished off with one of each desserts which were all 10/10. My wife and I went here 2 weeks ago. I forgot to leave a review. Their website has been stolen so O can't look at there menu. I can't even remember what we had it was so unmemorable. This place is too small and very noisey. Service was poor. Servers would walk right past you not even looking to see that my hand is out looking for help. They seem indifferent until they bring the check and act like their service was terrific and they are expecting us to tell them so and leave a big tip. We go to this park nearly everyday with our dogs but will not be back to Gino's. Not worth thye price or service. read more

The waitress acted annoyed the entire time, didn't ask to get us a second round of drinks and barely checked on us. This restaurant has excellent food and amazing service! I really love how intimate it is inside, but also appreciate that they have outdoor seating as well. I wish I had more pictures to provide, but I am too busy stuffing my face! We always start with the wicked prawns! Huge prawns served with a flavorful and slightly spicy tomato sauce and bread. This last time around, I got the ribeye (again) and my husband got the twin tenderloin. Now I am a ribeye girl through and through, but these filets.... WOW! I kept saying how I have never had a filet with such amazing flavor and texture! I get my ribeye rare and he got his medium rare. Excellent cook on both steaks. Had dinner here yesterday for the first time and was very impressed. I had the tenderloins and my wife had the sea bass. My tenderloins were cooked perfectly and my wife, who gets very frustrated at overcooked fish, said her sea bass was cooked to perfection. The demi glace for each was fantastic. We've been down in this area quite a few times as locals to enjoy the beach, but never found the time to stop by at Gino's. It's the only restaurant down there so we figured it must be good to serve as a stand alone. Ambience is great, beautiful music and decent seating ( both in and outside ) They sat us right away, and though it took them a while to address our table, we figured it was due to the steady stream of walkins on a Sunday. Service was so-so the rest of the time, and we had light fleeting conversation with our waitress. We were not introduced, so there was not any expectation surrounding remembrance. We went with the ceviche for our starter, it was an interesting deconstructed twist on the halibut focused dish. Though fresh, the portions were disproportionately large compared to the serving of halibut itself, and without a direct reference to the idea, it's seemed to lose focus. Though a seasonal, I don't think we would order again. I ordered the scallops, though my husband and I traded dishes part way through to see a difference in palette. I was a bit more disappointed with this, as the scallops were quite chewy, overcooked, but the lobster ravioli was a great save, and had great balance. Overall, though we enjoyed the space, I would much prefer spending the same nearby at PortoVino (200+) read more

Last night we had the pleasure of having dinner for a birthday party for 40 people. When we arrived they were ready for us, seated us all and started taking drink orders while we ordered and waited for dinner. There was a limited menu because or our large number. When our meals arrived they were perfect and beautifully presented. The servers couldn't have done a better job. They were attentive to our requests and made the entire evening a true pleasure. 1. Definitely make a reservation. We were hoping for walk ins, but honestly it took about the same time as a reservation. Don't take the risk tho! They are very busy (as they should be) 2. PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING!! - After reading the reviews and before coming to the restaurant, I had very high expectations. Of course I expected the pricing to be a little bit high but in return I also expected the ambience and the food to be spectacular as it should be if you're going to pay over $50 per dish. There was complementary bread which was nice and which is expected to get at any decent Italian restaurant. Although a negative to the bread, it was that it was very thick and doughy. It didn't seem like it was toasted nicely at all and when eating it, I felt as if the bread was soaked in water before hand, which was very weird. The service was OK. They didn't offer us any refills on the bread and they only gave us a tiny dish of balsamic vinegar with olive oil which came with the bread. So I had to repeatedly ask for them to bring us more, which was kind of annoying. But the worst thing was that after paying a fairly large amount for the food ( over $130 ) the risotto that I ordered was practically just rice in some seafood soup. It was not risotto at all, and the soup itself just tasted like some buttery broth. We also ordered an espresso martini which when the waitress brought it to us, the glass was very sticky and the waitress spilled a little bit on our table, which was also a negative because you pay $18 for it. And the waitress didn't even apologize or care. My girlfriend ordered the pasta with eggplant. The pasta was definitely store-bought. It did not taste fresh at all and was not al dente so spending $54 for her dish and $56 for my risotto and $18 for the drink was 100% not worth it . So overall, the service was mid at best and the food was OK . This place definitely has some work to be done. I hope they take this review seriously because we will definitely not be coming back. read more

Came here on a Thursday evening and was not disappointed! Complimentary bread which we loved so much, we ordered another batch (not free) to eat with our pasta. The smoke salmon was very good! Not too heavy but was very creamy. My friend enjoyed the Diablo which included a flavorful sausage that paired well with the sauce. Drinks were also great and paired well with the food. Our serve was friendly and helped us picked great dishes since it was our first time. Make sure to hear what specials they have! We were seated quickly and there is an option to sit inside or outside. Views are amazing and truly right next door to dash point view. I've been going back on forth on whether to rate this 3 or 4 stars due to reservations issues. I'm going to lean towards 4, but this is one of those times that a half star rating would be nice. I live out of state, and the first time I tried to make a reservation, I left a voicemail at the address listed on the website. I never received a phone call back, which highly irritated me. This was a place where the birthday gal wanted to go, so I tried one more time using OpenTable (which was not a method listed on their site), which was successful. When we got there, the hostesses both seemed distracted and took a while to seat us. We were able to sit outside, which is nice during the clear Tacoma days. Right on the beachfront with a couple of guys playing music on piano. A little public drunkeness, but it added to the amusement of the evening. We ordered a few drinks, I got a spicy margarita with blood orange and chili which actually took my breath away. Rare to get it that boozy. For appetizers, we got the brie, the artichoke hearts and the calamari. The brie comes with a nice fig jam on top. Usually brie has a funky aftertaste, but this one was nice and mellow. The artichoke hearts were good as were the brussels in it, but its not something I would return for. For dinner, one of my companions ordered the scallops which she said were really good, I'll have to take her word on that. I ordered porcini sacheti, which while good, I enjoyed the sauce it was in more (which is opposite to some of the reviews here). The mushroom was overpowered by the sauce, but I enjoyed the lemon and artichoke hearts. This place is definitely a place for ambiance. I would come back to enjoy drinks on the patio, with maybe a few apps, and watch the sunset. read more

I'd be able to enjoy the view more if it's on a nice summer day, but I went here for two friends' bd celebration on a wet raining cold late evening so I didn't have a chance. Food is delicious. I had risotto di amore- good amount of seafood, but the broth is a tiny bit salty. A few of my friends had Pescatora and scallop dish and it's actually really good. Calamari and brussels sprouts is good too. Lychee martini is actually too sweet for me, but my friend had the blueberry mojito which is better. So I have been here three times. The first two times were fantastic; the food was awesome and the service great. Tonight though was much different. I cut into my bone in ribeye and, instead of the usual medium rare (which I ordered), it was well done. I sent it back. Shortly after, the chef came out and showed me where he had cut into it and it was medium rare. I explained I cut into the middle and found it well done. He explained that not all of the steak will be medium rare. Rather than argue, I accepted the steak. About one third of the steak, mostly near the bone was medium rare, two thirds well done. Not cool. Definitely more well done than the one small section that was actually how it was supposed to be. I would go back if it weren't for the chef coming out to argue over a poorly cooked steak. Located right on beautiful Dash Point Beach, this family owned restaurant has only been open for a few short years now, but they do not disappoint! Great staff, incredible food! Don't waste your time with The Cliffhouse, which isn't too far south of this place, or the Redondo Salty's location (who can't seem to decide if they will ever re-open) just north. Went there for Mothers Day 2025, did see that they had a special Mothers Day menu link on their website but menu did not contain prices. I assumed they would offer regular menu items which they did not. I guess I should have called and inquired. Regular menu had entree's priced $25.00 to $40.00 however special Mothers Day menu only had a handful of entrees starting at $40.00, most were over $50.00 to $72.00 with a steak at $95.00.
