Risotto Di Amore
Dalila F.

Made a reservation last minute. I was pleasantly surprised they had space on Mother's day. Arrived 15mins early for our 6:15 reservation and checked in and waited outside. The inside waiting area was packed. We got seated early and got bread and water. The busser made sure we always had enough water. It took a really long time before a server arrived. We ordered drinks. I noticed the server was also making drinks. A couple sat at the bar and then ordered. They got their drinks. We waited and waited. When our drinks arrived (6:40) we ordered an appetizer "Lox". The drinks were so good. Our appetizer again took a little while to arrive (6:57) but it was delicious. We ordered diner when the appetizer arrived. For diner we ordered Risotti Di Amore and the Short Rib. Diner arrived faster(7:14) and was absolutely delicious. The server again took some time to come to our table. We wanted creme brulee for desert but they were out. We had the butter cake(7:57) it was yummy. We also had the Lemon curd dome, it was ok. We paid 249.79 (which included a 20% large party gratuity in hindsight: 1. There was only 2 of us. 2. It wasn't previously stated, is this normal here?) I really wanted to rate them higher because the food was really good but the service just wasn't .

Smoked salmon Alfredo + "Sophia" + Twin tenderloin + "Amor"

First off WOW. This place has exceeded so much of my expectations and the service goes above and beyond. We made reservations and the hostess let us choose where we would like to sit (great start already) and then we sat down and our water was filled already for us like ok even more wow! Our waitress was so sweet I'm not good at names but she was amazing, we had asked her for recommendations since we've never been here before and pretty much went with what she has said. They were all very attentive especially when we had accidentally dropped our silverware! Long story short we came here to celebrate our anniversary to which they do a free complimentary wine and it was delicious! Food was amazing, I noticed for my Alfredo pasta it must've been hand made since the cut of the noodle isn't the usual ones you would see, I've never had salmon alfredo pasta so that is now something I will crave in the future. I'll say the bread was delicious it was warm and stayed warm until we pretty much devoured it, lol. The drinks were amazing in the Amor you can really taste that smoky flavor on the mezcal and in Sophia that's such a fruity and fresh drink, if I had a bottomless stomach I would order more food. The ambiance was super cozy and I never noticed this but it is family owned which I very much love and will always give a lot of support for.

We made reservations for 6pm but got there earlier for happy hour. Parking was easy. We had two drinks at the bar then moved to our table (great water view). My wife chose this place for my birthday dinner. Don't expect anything special after being asked what you're celebrating. I got a candle I couldn't blow out and a happy birthday only after we ordered dessert. I'm not sure there would have been any sort of celebration had we not purchased dessert. Felt strange. Outside of that underwhelming and honestly unnecessary exchange we enjoyed the experience. We ordered a second cocktail, Avacado Relleno (a special), salmon Alfredo, and bone in T-bone steak. Definitely hats off to the chef. We enjoyed every bite of our entrees. Our server, Bella, was super sweet and was the only one working but did not miss a beat. To circle back dessert was not tasty and I should have passed on it. It's probably was the only thing I didn't enjoy. My wife had hers to-go and didn't enjoy it either. Could just be preference of texture and flavors. My butter cake seemed more like a biscuit and was bitter. Overall I'd come again for the dinner menu and specials. The ambiance is also really romantic.

Brie Cheese w/ crostini

Wow! What an amazing dinner my family and I had here at Gino's!!! I cannot say enough incredible things about the food and the owner, Gino himself along with his two beautiful Daughters! His daughter Alexis was our waitress and she took excellent care of us. The food tasted phenomenal and each dish was truely crafted and cooked with love. We ordered the Calamari which was very crispy yet tender, oysters that were grilled to perfection and were very fresh! The beet salad was beautifully executed with a tasty dressing. The Brie cheese served with crostini melted in your mouth and was paired beautifully with a fig preserve, candied walnuts and a honey basalmic drizzle! We all ordered around the menu for our entrees. The scallops were truely pan seared to perfection! The halibut was a generous and thick cut yet it was also cooked all the way through while remaining juicy. The tenderloin Medallions with a Demi glaze.. wow! The Demi glaze was such a nice pairing with the steak itself which by the way was very tender and cooked to a perfection Medium rare. It truely also melted in your mouth! The raviolis were all cooked all dente and each sauce really was knocked out of the ball park. We all finished off with one of each desserts which were all 10/10. Thanks Alexis and Gino for the amazing experience I am so happy we got the pleasure to dine at your beautiful Family owned restaurant. We will be back!

Spinach salad

Delicious special last night - Papillote King salmon and spinach salad. Pleasant and attentive service by Espy. Previous visit was the first time; flatbread was wonderful. Nice chatting with Naya then.

Food was good but the service was horrendous. We got sat 20-40 minutes past our reservation and it was not busy. The waitress acted annoyed the entire time, didn't ask to get us a second round of drinks and barely checked on us. There were fruit flies every where and even the table next to us were clapping to try to kill the bugs. Parking is annoying too.

Ribeye

This restaurant has excellent food and amazing service! I really love how intimate it is inside, but also appreciate that they have outdoor seating as well. I wish I had more pictures to provide, but I am too busy stuffing my face! We always start with the wicked prawns! Huge prawns served with a flavorful and slightly spicy tomato sauce and bread. This last time around, I got the ribeye (again) and my husband got the twin tenderloin. Now I am a ribeye girl through and through, but these filets.... WOW! I kept saying how I have never had a filet with such amazing flavor and texture! I get my ribeye rare and he got his medium rare. Excellent cook on both steaks. We let our waitress know that these meals were better than what we've had at some of our favorite steak houses! In all, I am never disappointed and will always come back to Gino's!

First timer! I came here for my birthday & it definitely did not disappoint. Loved how cozy it felt inside. We had reservations, so not quite sure how long the wait would be without it. Food was so so good as so were the cocktails! Ohh they also had a sparkler lit up for me! Guessing it's their birthday surprise for guests, lovely touch! Plenty of parking as well! Will definitely be back!

Great service. Great food. Quiet and beautiful views. Perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. Worth the price.

Cozy but upscale and very tasty. Matter of fact it was the best bread I've had in some time and the service was as warm as the bread.

Ask the Community - Ginos at the Point

Is this near where Salty's is/was?

No it's not. It's located adjacent to Dash Point Park. Salty's was located on Redondo Beach.

Is this place worth the cost?

Pasty of the cost is the fact that it is waterfront dining. That will always come at a premium. That said, the food is absolutely delicious and my wife and I just ate there for the third time on Friday. I realize you posed your question last year,…

Are there any dairy free options?

Yes, there are dairy free options, and gluten free as well. all you have to do is ask.

I have been seeing this highly rated restaurant for a while and my husband wanted to check it out…read moreon a Sunday, so we made a reservation and they took us right away. We were the only people in the dining room for lunch the entire time until our last 10 mins. This restaurant is inside a casino in Fife. Parking is interesting, and the casino itself is in the middle of a reno so it looks a bit messy but otherwise it is fine. Kudos to them for trying to make the outside section nice because the view kind of kills it. Pros - it's a very nicely designed space. The hostess and our waitress were so nice and welcoming, even giving me a stool for my bag (and it wasn't even my fanciest bag lol!) Overall, the restaurant is nice, the food seems to be mostly fresh and good quality and service was nice. I actually quite enjoyed my ribeye, despite our broccolinni having no almonds, as stated on the menu. My affogato was good, and the cake frosting and flavors were good. Cons - I say these with love...but we both feel the kitchen was not up to par, or the main chef was off, or something happened because there were quite a few mishaps during our visit. The appetizers were good, but the scallops needed salt and I would not pair them with pineapple, personally. The calamari weren't the most tender, and the breading was interesting - it's definitely not your typical breading, it suited a fish and chips dish better. The sweet and spicy sauce served with it is from trader Joe's...I know because I've bought it before, so I don't believe it's house made. Like I previously stated, the broccolinni was missing the almonds, and the carrots on the side that I ordered for $13 were so embarrassing that the waitress came back after serving us and told us that she spoke to the manager and got those off our bill. That's how ridiculous they were, so thank you to her for having good values at work. While I liked my steak, it was very, very fatty, and my husband asked for medium rare and definitely got medium well. Lastly, the pink champagne cake was disappointing, not because it was yucky, but because the cake itself was clearly days old, and had been freshly frosted. It was tough, dry and stale, while the frosting was fresh and light. Overall, I can see coming back but I'm in no rush due to the price/location/overall food.

We booked a reservation at Ms. Jane's for date night, and I'll admit the concept had me curious…read more Fine dining inside a bingo hall is either a stroke of genius or a dare someone actually followed through on. Turns out it's the former, at least in atmosphere. The service was genuinely lovely from start to finish. The host, server, and table assistants were warm and attentive. No notes there. We went with the ribeye prix fixe, which felt like the obvious call given that Ms. Jane's has built its reputation around it. The menu included a salad, two ribeyes with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and dessert for $150 plus wine. The salad was beautiful and delicious. It just could've used some cheese, and I will die on that hill. The mashed potatoes were legitimately outstanding and nearly redeemed the entire evening on their own. The broccoli was fine. Broccoli is always just fine. Then there were the ribeyes. They were enormous, beautifully presented, and unfortunately not much else. Both cuts had an excessive amount of fat and lacked the depth of flavor you'd expect from a restaurant that's staked its identity on this one dish. We make better steaks at home, which is not something you want to be thinking about after dropping $150 before wine. Dessert closed things out on a high note. A chocolate and vanilla mousse topped with genuinely delicate whipped cream. In the moment we told ourselves we'd come back and try something else. A few days of reflection later, that enthusiasm cooled but it didn't disappear entirely. The service was too good, the mashed potatoes too memorable, and the mousse too solid to write the place off completely. Ms. Jane's clearly has something going on. We just hope the ribeye isn't the thing they're most proud of.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, modern, clean and has an amazing view of the water. It was prom season, so the restaurant was pretty busy. He kept us updated, checked on us often, and made sure we had everything we needed while we waited. Both I liked both the calamari and crab cakes more than the dip, but that's just a personal preference bc people in my party were going back for seconds and thirds of the dip! We were a very large (25+ party) so it took a little bit of time for the food to come out (but the apps held me over and it was fine).
