My little brother wanted to come here for his birthday and he wanted our dogs to partake in his birthday festivities so we called to ask if the patio was open that day and luckily it was! We arrived around 4:30-40ish on a Sunday and we were seated quickly at the patio. They had plenty of seating in the patio and even had umbrellas in case the sun was too much. Luckily it was the perfect weather with a nice little breeze. The hostess offered us waters for our dogs and even asked if they needed one or two bowls. We opted for two bowls just in case as our male dog drinks a lot. We love that the menu was concise and that they had their specials on a little display on the table. I decided that I wanted to try out more of the menu and orders a strawberry lemonade, steamed clams, Bang Bang shrimp, bowl of clam chowder and a S'mores cheesecake to share with everyone. For the entrees, we ordered two of the smoked seafood fettuccine, kickin' chicken burger, and the Connecticut lobster roll. It did take some time for our entrees to arrive so I'm glad I bought the appetizers as we were hungry. However, the drinks were all refreshing and the food was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My only gripe is that the coleslaw was a bit off for me but at least I know to get fries or another substitute. The cheesecake was also a good size and I love that they toasted the marshmallows. Everyone, including the birthday boy left full and satisfied. I also was able to use their new Toast reward system with no issues. Our server Dallas was very professional and friendly with us. She would check in at appropriate times despite how busy the patio was getting. She even handled an extremely rude and entitled guest with precise professionalism. read more

I had such a good experience at The Fish Peddler that I came back two days in a row! The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and made both visits really enjoyable. On day one, I had the blackened mahi mahi, which had a ton of flavor. I especially loved the pineapple salsa that came with it--it was a great complement to the fish. On day two, I went with the coconut prawns and was honestly surprised by how flavorful they were. Given the price point, I wasn't expecting to be blown away, but they were really good and definitely exceeded my expectations. Fries were a tad soggy. This establishment is tucked onto the marina with its own dedicated free parking lot. We came on a Wednesday afternoon at about 2pm and the lot was about half full, which the restaurant capacity reflected. The restaurant is clean and tidy with an organized and cozy atmosphere. The tables aren't crammed together and it's not crazy loud at this time of day. However, I think it would be loud on a packed Friday night and getting a wheelchair or a person with mobility problems into a table that's not on the outside of the aisle would be difficult. City views are great. Probably very pretty at night. Waterfront views are decent, boasting the bridge and beautiful city that lies beyond it. Service is cordial, but not overly friendly. We were greeted immediately upon arrival inside and promptly after we were seated. Seating took about 7 minutes from arrival time and water was brought less than 5 minutes from being seated. We were served by Lavetta and she was absolutely amazing. We ordered the Maine lobster roll and subbed clam chowder as a side for $5 extra. At $37 a plate I had high hopes. We also ordered the seafood dip and two pops. The lobster was stuffed to the gills! It looked very mediocre until I bit into it and realized how much meat was in that little roll. The bread was warm and the lobster perfectly dressed. It wasn't drowning in mayo or soggy with filler. The seafood dip was creamy, flavorful and cheesy. It comes topped with chives, a cute halved cherry tomato and a fresh, warm, crusty baguette. The clam chowder is rich creamy and THICK, but came lukewarm. No clue what their hot holding temperatures are, but this was not giving "fresh from the pot" vibes. With the tip, we got out for about 85$. Pretty pricey but the portion of lobster was worth the price. read more

The Fish Peddler is an unassuming restaurant on Foss Waterway, but inside, there is some of the freshest seafood around at a fair price. Part of the reason is that they are under Pacific Seafood so their access to seafood is unbeatable. There was only one option for oysters but they were kumamotos and even the regular price is reasonable. The Kumos were super fresh and very good so we quickly finished a dozen and went for an additional dozen. We also had their chowder with razor clam which shouldn't be missed. It's not too thick but still rich and the clams were delicious. As for entrees, the menu is 90% seafood and we tried the mussels, cioppino and sockeye salmon. The cioppino was one of the best in the Seattle area and chock full of seafood. There is no skimping on quality and quantity and the crab was really good (seems like many versions in the PNW are missing crab...). The sockeye salmon was also solid and cooked perfectly and loved the subtle enhancement from the cedar plank. The mussels were super fresh but I think sat out just a bit too long as mussels are best fresh from the pan, as they continue to cook. The seasonal crisp was the perfect dessert. We came here for a business lunch on the recommendation of a friend who lives locally. On a beautiful day you can sit outside and enjoy the water. This is a casual place, but the food is quality. We are new to the are and found this place on yelp and came on Saturday night. It was busy but we were able to get a table quickly. Our server Justin was so nice and explained to us all the plates on the daily menu and we couldn't pass up trying the clam linguini if you see it I'd recommend to try it! It was a light dish with a lemon sauce it was so good and the clams were so fresh! I'm normally not a fan but it was really good! We also had the mahi mahi grilled pork top of quinoa and veggies so good! My husband had the oysters from what he said it was really good especially with the horse radish on top and it did not taste fishy at all it was really fresh. Recently we went back for dinner, had the cedar plank baked sockeye salmon and both our pieces of fish were overcooked, it was still tasty but for $30 a plate at a seafood restaurant I was expecting more. Beautifully situated on the water front, the fish peddler is a great place to get some seafood. I've been here a few different times and have always left feeling glad that I stopped in. Dock street can be a little awkward to find depending on where you're coming from, but it's also a great place to stroll around once you're parked. My Sagittarius sisters brought me here to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a great choice. I don't know if it was the timing or the terrible weather outside, but there was literally no wait. She said it was delicious and the portion size was generous. I was really craving soup, so I went with the blackened salmon BLT and a cup of chowder. The chowder was so good. The salmon was tasty too -- it did have a slightly fishy taste, but nothing that ruined it for me. Another friend ordered the cioppino, which is more of a stew, and it was really good. She let all of us try it, and it had a great flavor and a nice-sized portion. What really stood out was that it wasn't cream-based, which was perfect because she has a pretty extreme lactose intolerance. The seafood dip is a must order! My husband and I started our meal off with the seafood dip appetizer which I highly recommend. It's creamy, cheesy, and has a decadent seafood flavor which comes with toasted bread to dip or scoop it in. He ordered the fish and chips, 3 piece halibut with fries, and I had the coconut prawns which came with coleslaw and fries on the side. The coconut prawns were perfect crispy and came with a sort of sweet honey mustard like sauce on the side. The portions were good, 8 medium pieces of prawns plus the fries. I didn't particularly like the coleslaw, it wasn't on the fresh side. The staff were friendly and attentive. They have Seattle soda on their fountain which I like a local pop. They have a handful of TVs inside playing sports, and they have regular booth, table, and bar seating.
