Anthony's in Gig Harbor has the greatest staff members. I didn't like the taste of my drink, and the server got me a different one without an extra charge. I wanted my steak warmer. Instead of heating it up, they got me a whole new one and it was delicious! Great view of the pier and water made everything perfect. The other people on here are complaining of little stuff that can easily be taken care of if they just talk to the manager and staff. Then, they wouldn't be such jerks. Get a life!!! We dined here the Sunday before Christmas. Although we have always had good food and service at an Anthony's restaurant, this fell short. Our party of four ordered items typically very good. My hubby's scampi were overcooked and dry. My clam linguini had so much sand I had to send it back. Service was a little slow but not awful. The experience was just so-so. We probably will go to Bremerton the next time we are in the mood for Anthony's. read more

My godmother and I visited this restaurant on our recent Saturday out. I'd never been here before, but had heard good things about it. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day and our waitress was very nice. My only issue with her is that I could not tell if she were pregnant (which didn't matter), but her clothes didn't fit well and her whole stomach was hanging out. It was very weird to see. I don't even know if she noticed. Maybe that's just me being petty. She took our drink and appetizer orders right away and we got them within about 15 minutes. I ordered the crab and asparagus dip and my godmother ordered the fried calamari. Both arrived hot and delicious. They were so good! I also got strawberry lemonade which was kept full, so I really appreciated that. For mains we ordered the cioppino, which came with an extremely hard piece of bread and a salad, and seafood pasta. This is where the problem was. None of it was edible. When the waitress came back to bring our check, our plates looked the same way they did when she first set them down. My cioppino was cold! I was literally afraid to eat it because I was afraid I'd get food poisoning from the seafood. The salad was nothing special and was mainly lettuce and a tiny bit of dressing. My godmother did not like her pasta at all. She also said it was cold and it looked congealed on the plate. The waitress asked us if we wanted to-go boxes, but there was no way was I bringing any of that slop to my home! It's really weird how the appetizers were so good and the entrees were horrible. We will definitely go back because the appetizers were that good. But we'll just go for drinks and appetizers next time. read more

We had a very lovely evening celebrating my dad's birthday. He loves fresh fish and it did not disappoint. My only issue was the options for vegetarians. I was promised a salad filled with veggies...spinach and 2 cherry tomatoes. Well, the views were stunning, my family enjoyed the fresh catch, and we had a super sweet server who took care of everything including a candle for his birthday dessert! Another great experience at Anthony's! We came here to celebrate my 50th birthday. Made reservations online through Open Table. This time, we sat at a window table. Highly recommend requesting one when making a reservation. The window table has the best view, in my opinion. The elevated booths behind the window tables are nice as well, but there's nothing obstructing your view at the window. Love how the windows are slanted. Super cool effect! Love that they always offer a "fresh sheet" listing all their fresh seafood options for the day. It's offered at lunchtime as well, which is great for us. We ordered the blackened rockfish and sockeye salmon entrees. Both were spectacular! We also ordered the creme brulee cheesecake with fresh berries and berry sauce. So yummy! For my birthday, I was given a small chocolate sundae with a lit candle. So thoughtful and appreciated. Our server was Billy again. She is great, and I love dining in her section. It was a special occasion visiting Anthony's for the first time, especially with my mum-in-law from France. We appreciated Jackson R R's friendly service, which made our experience memorable. The front could be warmer, but overall, the atmosphere was lovely. The patio had a stunning water view with calming sounds from birds, boats, and nature, making it a relaxing spot. We enjoyed good wine, a spicy Bloody Mary, and ordered calamari and mussels, which were very good. The highlight was the seasonal huckleberry ice cream with sauce for sharing. Went with 12 family members for dinner, had reservation though had to wait a half hour more for our table. The food was lacking. Very small servings for the cost. Several things were overcooked. It wouldn't be bad for an Applebees but fish and chips at Applebees isn't $31.00. I was horribly disappointed in the entire evening. Our reservations were for 6:30 and it was almost 9 when we left. For entrees (not pictured) the surf and turf with Scallops was good. Scallops were incredibly small and slightly over cooked. The steak was perfect. Side dishes were bland. Staying in Gig Harbor for a few days while in the area for work. Mrs. E is with me so I nice dinner is a must. There are many selections but Anthony's seems like a top pick. First, Anthony's has plenty of parking which makes life easier here. Next we had reservations but there was plenty of seating Here's something that was a little confusing. We walk in the main entrance but no hostess station. Seemed like we were standing just outside the kitchen. We're told dining is downstairs and just take any table you like. Unusual for us, but isn't it mostly about the food? Okay let's go... This is the Northwest, the home of Dungenous Crab so I just need to see it on the menu so I can order. Our waiter was really a nice young man but and I could be wrong, he seemed fairly new. So we started with a Dungenous crab dip for our appetizer. Mrs. E had the Dungenous crab dinner and I had Dungenous crab and steak. Couldn't find any negatives. My steak was cooked perfectly and the crab was succulent. Mrs. E loved hers and surprisingly she finished it all. I think that's a first. BTW, this is a waterfront restaurant which has great views of the harbor. Unfortunately the weather was not so good so the views were off. As I said earlier dinner is on the lower level and there is an exit to avoid the stairs. Turns out the exit leads to a ramp which had no lighting so we used our phone lights to guide our walk. Overall we had a really nice dinner. Made a reservation for lunch on our anniversary through Open Table. Requested to sit outdoors due to my auditory disability, and my request was granted. The outdoor seating offers lovely views of Gig Harbor and market umbrellas to keep you cool. The food was flavorful and delicious! A good variety of options are available, including starters, salads, entrees, and kids meals. We had Dungeness crab & artichoke dip, clam chowder, Northwest Salad, and fish & chips. All was delicious. The staff even had a card waiting on our table, wishing us a happy anniversary. Our server, Christian, was attentive and friendly. We gave dinner at Anthony's every time we're in the area to visit elderly relatives - they've been going here forever! Most of the tables are staggered up levels so everyone enjoys a view of the Sound - so lovely! The food isn't 5 star but consistently good continental seafood and a wide selection of entrees. I was craving seafood and a fancy night out with my husband. It was our first time eating at Anthony's and it won't be the last. We arrived around 7:30 on a Friday and were able to be seating right away for a table of two. There are indoor and outdoor seating options. And just about every indoor table gets a beautiful view of the harbor. The evening for a sunset or dusk dinner was spectacular! Our waitress was kind and patient as it took me extra time to order. The food was exquisite. Comparing to other upscale restaurants in Gig Harbor, Anthony's is top rated for me. The delicious food and quality seafood, great service, and stunning views couldn't make for a better date night. We shared the Ahi Tuna Nachos, which are light and yummy to start a dinner. It's like poke nachos if I had to compare it. I had the pan fried oyster entree which comes with rice pilaf, and asparagus and a glass of sparking rosé. My husband had Tempura Prawns. Wow,this year's lobster was much better than last year for our anniversary. I've been visiting Anthony's for 40 years & this was one of the best meals I've enjoyed here. The lobster was perfect, the Brussel Sprouts were perfect, and the almond rice pilaf was some of the best I've ever had. Michelle HH's service was also stellar. She made the best recommendations I've ever received from s server in all my hundreds of visits to Anthony's; Thank you Michelle!! I'm officially burying the hatchet with Anthony's over the way an assistant manager treated us some years ago. Our most recent two experiences there have been wonderful; steaks prepared exactly the way we asked, terrific view of the harbor, attentive and friendly servers, etc. We plan to return on a fairly regular basis from now on. read more

Longtime Anthony's fan. Last night a 10 star rating for Valentines Day dinner. We were sat immediately at 530 upon entering. Champagne to start followed by crab stuffed mushrooms. Fresh bread with old butter sliced perfectly so did not have to tear it apart to separate ( my pet peeve). Then split with my wife two dinners of Australian 9 ounce lobster dinner and a scallop dinner. A bottle of Duckhorn white wine Sauvignon Blanc was well worth the price and glad they carry such a variety of wines. Then desert: see the pics: small molten lava like chocolate desert with a heart cookie and ice cream with raspberry sauce to dribble over all was decadent. Watched one bartender keep up with entire restaurant while still serving 5 guests at the bar counter too. We rarely have an off night at Anthony's : tonight was perfect. And can't wait for my reservations at the Richland Anthony's Homeport during the Hydroplane races this July. Right on the harbor. Bear hotels and the Bremerton Ferry. Harbor views from many seats. It's a bright, open space and also has outdoor seating. Reservations are possible and walk-ins work too. Seafood is the specialty and all of it is good. The service is very good. There's an open kitchen and, depending on your seating you can watch and listen to the show. We ate there twice on our stay in the area. If we get back that way we'll go back again. read more

We ordered 1/2 dozen raw oysters, asparagus tempura, and we both ordered the seafood fettuccine. The oysters were $5/ea and they were hands down the smallest oysters I've ever seen (dime sized). I'd spend $100 on oysters if it's fair for what I'm getting, these were not. Nevertheless, I maintained a positive disposition in anticipation of the Seafood Fettuccini. Once again, this too was a major let down. There was quite literally no flavor whatsoever in this dish. It was so bland that for a moment I forgot what I was eating. If you decide to give this place a try, steer clear of that dish. I will note that the restaurant was very clean and as I mentioned, service was great. read more

Cod was several really small dry Over cooked pieces , fries bland and not warm. Wanted onion rings so waiter said chef makes them special well for $8.00 /6 onion rings nothing special . Husband ordered tempura shrimp which was better. We told waitress and manager was supposed to come talk to us, but didn't . I didn't eat but 1 of the pieces of fish. Came here for Mother's Day dinner. They had great reviews but I personally was not impressed at all. Got here about 15 minutes early since it was Mother's Day. Our table wasn't ready but that's ok... we waited for about 5 minutes and then we weee seated downstairs. The bartender was also our server. They gave me a free glass of champagne which I thought was really nice. We then were served bread and he took our order. We ordered some appetizers which included asparagus, calamari, and a tempura main dish. For dinner we ordered a fish dinner, shrimp pasta, lobster tail, and filet and shrimp. We had dinner last night Monday the 14th. The food was very poorly done. My husband shrimp and asparagus which was barely warm and greasy. My Grandson had shrimp linguine which had large chunks of zucchini, empty shells of clams and mussels. A couple shrimp and lots of tiny salad shrimp. Very watery not creamy at all. My Son had cod which was coated and cooked in sour cream. Looked curled, too much sour cream. Daughter -in-law had shrimp served in a bowl of butter. I had clam chowder only thank goodness. Not sure why people give this place bad reviews???? The LOCATION is AMAZING!!! Right on the water with views of Mt Raineer when it's not too cloudy. We have also always had great service. Reservations are recommended but we usually come EARLY and walk right in. They have amazing deals early Monday through Thursday where you get a 3 course meal for $30!!! My wife had clam chowder, Manila clams, and chocolate mousse for $30. I had the lobster fettuccine and it was also only $30 and came with half a lobster tail. Yes, you can find BETTER food but not at this price and this location. We will be back! read more
