    Reuben sandwich
    Stan G.

I really want to like this place, but find myself unable. Decor is OK, and of course it's really cool to have a wall of windows facing the airstrip. But. Nothing here was good in our experience. My wife got sick from the food, and I didn't finish mine. She had a philly cheesesteak, which was on a seasonal menu. Just terrible all around. I would like to describe my food as forgettable, but it didn't even reach that level. I had the Reuben sandwich and while it looked good, was not good and was surrounded by sides that were worse. We sat in the bar and the bartender was terrific, very nice and attentive. Sadly the bloody mary was very poor, almost nothing on the skewer and just not a good tasting drink at all. So if you just want a beer / wine with a cool view maybe, but I would not eat here and probably wouldn't expect much from any cocktail.

Came for a drink, stayed for the planes--and left the teriyaki behind. Popped in on a whim for a drink and some views, and honestly, this place has its own unique charm. Think Amelia Earhart meets upscale diner, with big windows perfect for watching planes take off and land. Aviation nerd or not, it's a cool spot to sip and stare. Started off strong with a cosmopolitan (which was delicious!) and a cold beer. So far, so good. The vibe? Chill. The views? 10/10. The steak bites? Tasty! The garlic bread that came with them... well, it could've used a bit of crunch. Okay, a lot of crunch. Then came the teriyaki bites. And here's where things got interesting. What we expected: a nice glazed bite. What we got: meat swimming in a pool of syrupy-sweet sauce that could double as dessert. Add in that same soggy garlic bread--paired with an Asian dish for some reason--and, well, let's just say we wouldn't order that one again unless we packed a snorkel. That said, the place still has a lot going for it. Quirky charm, good drinks, and our server was an absolute sweetheart. We'll definitely be back for the cocktails and runway views--but maybe we'll stick to the liquid menu.

Absolutely Disappointed - Start to Finish My wife and I came in with an open mind and optimistic expectations, but we left beyond disappointed. From the moment we walked in, the experience went downhill fast. Service: The service was horrendous. Multiple staff members approached us to ask a question--only to say "hold on" and walk away mid-conversation. This happened eight or nine times, each followed by long, awkward waits. The place was not busy (around 3:30 p.m.), and they were clearly not understaffed, so there was no excuse for the disorganization or lack of attention. Drinks & Food: The drinks were overpriced and poorly made. The food? Equally bad. Most of it was clearly previously frozen and lacked any seasoning or care. The online menu didn't match the actual menu in-house, which was misleading and frustrating. We ordered: Appetizer: 1 lb steamers with bacon bits and dipping bread - Meh at best. House salad - Soggy. The house-made ranch was the only thing passable. Caesar salad - Inedible. Smelled awful, like it had turned. My wife and I each took a bite and were done. Main Course: Beef Stroganoff - Tasted microwaved. The beef was rubbery and overcooked, the noodles likely frozen and thawed several times. It went straight into the trash. Fish Tacos - Mushy and sour. It tasted like they were cooked early and left sitting out. The tortillas fell apart immediately, the slaw was watered down, and the sauce was unappealing. I forced down what I could and gave up. Dessert: Carrot cake - Tasted store-bought, maybe Safeway brand at best. Nothing homemade or fresh about it. Atmosphere: The environment felt cold and oddly quiet. Worst of all, there were flies and gnats everywhere. We spent most of the meal swatting at bugs. It was disgusting to try to eat with flies constantly landing on our food. --- Bottom line: We regret spending our money and time here. It was one of the worst dining experiences we've had in years. This place needs serious attention to food quality, cleanliness, service, and overall hospitality. We will not be returning.

I thought the food was great! Got the fish and chips on a Friday with clam chowder! I would suggest anyone to go and get some of the fish and chips. I will say I never got my water refilled and the table that we were sat at was dirty never got wiped out. The waitress was quite rude. Was pulling out my wallet to pay and as I was trying to grab it she said "Can I have your card I've got people inside and I need your card if you want to pay". We sat outside which was pretty cool to watch the planes come and go! In fact if you were a lover of planes you would love to be here! Hope this review helps!

On a beautiful summer day and tables w/umbrellas of course we'd love to dine on the deck. Thankfully my hubby noticed a stack of cushions as the chair seats sank really low to eat comfortably. We were greeted promptly by a host and then our server Gabe, nice young man. I had called last night to make sure brunch was on for today, the gal said it was and said there would be a new menu plus some lunch items. She also said eggs Benny & Biscuits & gravy were being removed from the menu given some new additions. I expressed our disappointment given those are typically our go-to's. She said she'd pass it on to the chef. Needless to say we didn't notice a new menu but were pleased to see our favorites still offered. When I asked Gabe about the changes he said he only knew about offering a couple sandwiches & burger from lunch menu. So it sounds like a little confusion on brunch menu. We are just thrilled you have Sunday brunch, a favorite meal for us. I must mention the complimentry house made scones AND the great dark coffee were an instant bonus highlight of our first meal there!! Please don't make any changes on those items other than obviously scone flavors. Today's blueberry and apple/cinn. were delicious. (If I can put in a request of an orange scone plain or w/white or dark chocolate drizzle, yum). I'd love to know I could pick up scones (2-4) on Sundays to enjoy during the week!! Our orders come out fairly fast but we were only the 2nd table at the time of ordering. Gabe was good to bring out the couple condiments, S&P, coffee refill right away. He also had the music turned on outside at our request. I ha a Bloody Mary, it was nice. Our meals (Benny & Sausage Biscuits) looked and WERE all cooked perfectly, eggs soft and potatoes crisp pillow bites also as requested, everything delicious. The gravy unique, appreciated that. Hubby was in heaven as well. He loves generous hollandaise. No issues/complaints to critique. Ok maybe the chairs but with 2 cushions each fine. We can't wait to come back for lunch, happy hour & dinner. But you'll definitely see us often for brunch. Kudos to the staff. I will say we were a bit surprised at the lack of landscaping, lack of lawn care etc around the parking lot and restaurant door entrance. No flowers planted or hanging baskets. Gosh it likes ok without them so I can just imagine how gorgeous bright flowers would impact the appearance!

We did do a to go order so we could watch Netflix and eat our dinner. I will say the American dishes coming out of the window looked great especially the patty melt. The portions are really small for the price 17 bucks for the chicken tikka and only like a cup of rice. The samosa are 2 for 6 bucks the yogurt sauce is amazing. Went on a Sunday, not warm but decent enough to sit outside to take in the view. As we were walking thru the cafe there were two servers behind the counter but failed to acknowledge us. We asked for menus then went outside. We were soon greeted and ordered coffees & a Bloody Mary and our breakfast entrees. It was about 15 minutes and still no coffee or cocktail which was pretty irritating when there was only 1 other table in whole place. So I got up to go in and ask about our drinks but she was then coming out with a platter of everything we ordered. Very strange not getting drinks immediately. Of course as soon as she walks away we realize our coffee not hot, ugh. But we hurry and drink it down hoping she'll return soon....nope! So 1/2 way into our meal ( which too was just warm not hot?) I get up to ask for more coffee and once again she's coming out as I'm heading in, not sure if coincidence? Anyway she was a pleasant gal but not being busy it was slow poor service. Hubby ordered the "SW scramble", he said it was good but only at half. I had the "Joes" scramble, it was ok not being hot was a disappointment but thought the pork belly would be a salty flavorful addition but it was so finely diced it was more of just a crunch factor less flavor than bacon and the egg scramble seemed slightly overcooked causing it to be kind of dry. I was really wanting some hollandaise to pour over it. So I asked for a bit of sausage gravy and gosh, it was the only item we had that was actually hot!! Wish I'd gotten that sooner to heat up my scramble and add creamy flavor. The raspberry jam, sourdough toast and gravy were the actual highlights which is unfortunate. The coffee & food not served hot and inattentive service is just inexcusable especially when the place is nearly empty. We will be back and hope this darling place will become a frequent place to enjoy. I must also add it's important for customers to feel welcomed and greeted upon arrival.
