We ended up at Boat Shed on a day trip to Bremerton from Gig. We wanted to see USS Ronald Reagan which recently arrived from Japan for dry dock repairs. That was a bust. I came here as my best friend recommended it and it did not disappoint. This restaurant has a waterfront view and the food is delicious. I tried the award winning clam chowder, crab and shrimp stuffed mushroom and halibut fish and chips. Everything was tasty but my favorite was the stuffed mushroom. Great choice of a restaurant if in Bremerton, WA. Portion was plentiful in my entree of clam linguine as well as very tasty! Cup of clam chowder and crab & shrimp stuffed mushrooms were great appetizer choices. It was quite busy both on the patio and the inside dining room. Hostess was very sweet & quick to wrangle a server that appeared a good 10-15 after being sat. Despite not having silverware when the food came and lack luster service, I would still very much recommend this spot and try again with high hopes of better service next time. We stopped here for lunch after touring the nearby USS Turner Joy Navy ship. We were looking for a seafood restaurant with a view. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Multiple people helped us during our meal. The restaurant was clean. My only gripe with the hostess, was seating us right next to an occupied table when the rest of the dining room around us was completely empty. I don't understand why people do this. Some privacy is always nice. We don't need to hear strangers conversations and they don't need to hear ours. It's just too close for comfort. Anyway, we ordered the side Ceasar salad, cup of clam chowder and the steamed manila clams. The food came out fairly quickly. The clam chowder was really good. Plenty of clams and flavor. The steamed clams were great as well. The rustic bread served with them was nice and fresh. The disappointing part of the meal was the brown lettuce in the salad. I should have sent it back. The house made dressing was really good and they put a nice amount of shredded parmesan on top. Overall a nice experience. The majority of food was great, service super friendly, and gorgeous views! This is one of those places that you can go to often and never get tired of. It's on the water and has plenty of seats to enjoy the view. It cozy and comfortable. The food is delicious. There are cocktails, beer and wine . We enjoyed our dinner very much and tried the salmon, shrimps, fish and chips, stuffed mushrooms and a bowl of chowder. It was sever hot and enjoyed by all. The deck! Wow! We were in Bremerton for renovation reasons and got hungry. The Boat Shed looked like a great location so we decided to stop in for a late lunch/early dinner. It took a minute to be greeted and seated which wasn't surprising at 3:30. We ordered the steamed Manila clams for an app and the wasabi salmon and seared scallops for our entrees. The clams were great and we devoured them quickly (hungry). The sear on the salmon was (chef kiss) and the wasabi aoli was very good. The scallops were also perfectly seared. All the dishes really exceeded expectations. We decided to split the blackberry crisp to top off our meal. It was also great! Mid week the restaurant was not crowded and we got an easy seat viewing the water. Ordered some house wines and the mushroom appetizer which came with bread and was fantastic. We shared the surf and turf and it was spot on. Park by the restaurant or up the hill since parking could be a challenge on popular nights. Not a first time visitor but my most recent visit was great! Albeit a tad bit warm inside the restaurant and outside seating had a wait, but we were hungry so we didn't want to wait. Had window seating and got to see a saloon and some seagulls swimming in the water. Service was decent. My mister did have to flag down the server a couple times for another beverage when she walked by, but it be like that sometimes. As an appetizer we ordered the shrimp and crab stuffed mushrooms. Yum! Loved the toasty cheese on top. My partner said there was barely any crab and shrimp but I could taste it. It was yum and wish they had more of it! My entree of choose was the clam linguine and let me tell you, it was everyyyyything. They did not skimp on the clams, and the sauce was chefs kiss! Creamy, garlicky and a touch of lemon. I almost never finish my meals but I killed this bowl of pasta. My mister ordered "the ketch" which was basically a club sandwich. It looked good but I enjoyed my pasta too much to care to try a bite. It's definitely recommended to come by the boat shed, especially on a beautiful day to dine on the patio. We went for Valentine's Day. Made a reservation as we expected it to be busy. First of all parking is atrocious. When we got there expected to not have to wait too long as we had made reservations. We waited and waited with others who were waiting as they had made reservations too ....so we started off annoyed about parking and then the wait despite reservations. Finally seated we noticed that there were WAY too many tiny tables all packed and squished together, so patrons were practically sitting on top of each other. We ordered a special.... they were out of the crab.... it was only 4:45pm, early yet. Then they were out of the roasted vegetables that were supposed to go with the meal so they gave us creamed green beans instead!! The food was sparse and not that great and much more expensive than the menu showed online. So for parking you have to go down and then back up a very long steep staircase to get to and from the restaurant (we helped 2 elderly ladies who were struggling to get up the stairs afterward), THEN they really don't honor your reservation so you have to wait as if you made no reservation, THEN they squish you in like sardines trying to pack in as many people as they can, THEN they over charge for bad food and don't even serve you what you ordered. I dined here on Friday. I ordered a "special", and let me tell you, there was nothing special about it. The food was alright, bland and expensive, nothing new. My problem was with one of the workers; tall-ish, dark facial hair, might've been a manager based on how he was speaking to the other workers. I found it entirely unprofessional, truly sickening to see such disrespectful speaking towards your staff. I took the ferry to Bremerton for a day trip and wanted to go somewhere local and unique for lunch. This out of the way little place is adorable inside and out, and has an amazing view. Was super impressed with the place. All of my pictures are ambiance, I forgot to take any of the food. Their menu is wide ranging American pub food. Something for everyone. I wasn't super hungry so I had fish tacos, fries and an iced tea but they also have more substantial meals. The fish tacos were tasty and healthy, cod was grilled not breaded. The fries were also very good (hey gotta have balance ). The place is a little hard to find, trust your nav app. You drive down a narrow road at the end but can easily turn around for the return trip out. read more

You would expect at the least a full plate of food if you're paying 25$ a meal and to be full after the meal but I was still starving, even after they took an hour and a half to bring out the food. One of my friends got her steak comped for her because they took too long to make it. But my fish and chips was highly disappointing. 2 singular small half pieces of fish with like a handful of fries. I was still hungry after spending 41$ there with a beer. A crappy pint at that. First of all, the ambiance here is everything. The outdoor patio is beautiful on a summer day. It's right on the water with a dock you can walk out on. Mid afternoon we were able to get a table easily. Service was a little slow but that's really my only negative. We got water and one drink (Pepsi) but never got a refill on our drinks throughout the meal. I got the seafood pasta. It was absolutely to die for. Lots of garlic sauce with a ton of flavor, and a good amount of seafood. The scallop on top was HUGE and cooked perfectly. We also decided to get dessert! I couldn't resist the blackberry cobbler and was obsessed with it. It was a good size, served hot and with so many blackberries! This is my first time visiting the Boat Shed restaurant. Let's start with the ambiance, upon arrival- from the outside you can tell it has history, it gives off an old beachy locals kind of vibe. It's very simple and unassuming, yet comfortable and very welcoming. The inside is just as simple and gives off a feeling of being on the inside of a wood boat. Casual comfortable, something welcoming without all the fuss. This restaurant is on the water and has great views! The menu is not expansive but the perfect amount of items and a nice selection. The service was on point, the wait staff were very attentive and friendly. They kept that place clean and were very on top of things. We ordered the ribeye dinner, the ribeye was perfectly cooked with a nice little char and seasoned beautifully. The dinner was delicious throughout, it exceeded our expectations. We topped off our dinner experience with a delicious peach dessert that was delectable. They have seating both inside or out on the deck. A nice choice during this beautiful weather. Bonus- if you like music they have live music on the deck (I'm sure seasonally). This was a great experience and a tasty experience, we will definitely go back. My only negatives for this restaurant is the silverware, I would have expected something a little more bolder and sturdy. read more

Arrived after 8pm for a late celebratory dinner with my wife. The place was packed, but we were seated by the window right away. Service was great--even with how busy they were! After an appetizer of clams, we both had the grilled salmon and it was amazing; the best we have had at any restaurant in a long time! I have been to this restaurant about 5 times now. Love sitting outside on a beautiful day. Food is decent ( love the grilled shrimp and steak salad), servers are friendly, and the cocktails are tasty. But, there is one major drawback.....the entertainment is too loud! One cannot have a decent conversation at the table. I'm not saying I don't like the entertainment.....just lower the sound a bit. We have taken friends from out of town a couple of times, and each time it's the same. We're thinking of trying a different restaurant to entertain friends at. Another small annoyance is that they don't clear plates properly. Our appetizers were still on the table when our main entrees were served. Consistency is the main dish that is served at the Boat Shed! The ENTIRE menu is outstanding and appropriately priced. Top notch service every time I go. The Boat Shed has a view of the Port Washington Narrows that includes the Naval Base Kitsap and the Bremerton Marina. Very nice place to slow down and spend a little time.....Parking is very scarce and tight on the restaurant level, however there is ample parking on the street above the restaurant. Enjoy! read more

We opted for casual dining (fish n chips, clam chowder) and all was great, even the coleslaw. The clam chowder was not the typical white paste, but rather more flavorful.
