What a wonderful surprise this hole-in-the-wall was! In a past life I travelled the world on expense account and have eaten in many of the better restaurants out there and this little cafe is punching way above its class. We were strolling the nursery and felt peckish so we checked out what I thought was an overly ambitious menu but we ordered the spinach salad and the potato leek soup along with the house lager and hard apple cider. Every item, without exception, was delicious! The lager and the cider were tasty and unique each in their own way, the fresh salad was filled with surprising and flavorful tidbits throughout (jicama even!) and the soup was subtle and sublime. The house made vanilla ice cream was as good as I expected it would be. Overall, a great little meal in a fine and surprising venue!

Eggnog loaf, plain and getting dry. Pear-apple crisp delicious, latte was just Ok.

Lovely little cafe in the back corner of the business. A friend and I decided to grab a little snack and coffee while looking at all the beautiful new festive displays. We were seated and brought water and menu. Was a bit surprised at the prices. I ordered a large latte and the last slice of eggnog loaf I spied at the counter. I really wanted a scone but they only had apple, not my fav. and there weren't any muffins. My friend had the apple pear crisp. My latte came out warm, not hot so I asked to microwave it but was told no microwave? So he remade another one which was nice and hot. Not any stand out coffee flavor but was fine. The eggnog loaf was sadly plain and dry but I didn't say anything, but did leave half behind. When asked about it at the counter while paying I did tell him nicely my thoughts on it. He said he would pass it on and appreciated my honesty. My friend loved her crisp. They must make them to order as it took a while to get. Service was pleasant. I was also surprised they didn't offer a second choice for soup, one that changes daily. Chicken soup kind of boring as a daily offering.

We visited this hidden gem on a whim. We had no idea what to expect and boy were we surprised. The service was a little slow in the beginning but justified. The friendliness by all the staff made the wait worth it. Additionally, the atmosphere was so inviting. As for the food...having been to top tier restaurants in Washington, Oregon, California, New York, etc, we were all blown away. Granted, to be fair, seeing the price tag for the limited menu was a shock at first and we were slightly apprehensive the food would be worth the cost. Fortunately, the price, the wait was all worth it. We couldn't believe the quality of the food and the taste profiles. The fact this little gem is in the middle of Puyallup, a nursery of all places, is quite incredible. We spoke with the server to get some background on this venue and it seems the quality and/or consistency wasn't always this good. This is too bad because the current star rating they have today is not indicative of what they produce. It's way off. That said, I hope more people review so their average rating improves. I can't wait to come back.

This is the cafe inside of the Watson's Nursery in Puyallup. We admittedly got there close to closing but there was still about an hour left and we felt pretty rushed and as if we were inconveniencing everyone. We weren't given really any table service until we asked - no menus, not a lot of attention at the table in general and the impression or pressure the whole time that we should speed up. Then we were billed separately - coffees had been gotten at the counter awhile also saying we would order food - they brought two bills, which we didn't realize at first, and they seemed a bit put out when we hadn't paid the coffee bill yet - we didn't even realize they were split like that. The food was good but very pricey. Probably would get a coffee here again but not food.

Entering the amazing place that is Watson's, I was led to coffee bar with my friend. We were greeted and after a moment to put away something our hostess seated us and gave us menus. The next lady gave us waters and got our drink orders. It was still fairly early for their cafe, but our food orders were chosen and taken after some favorites were given by our waitress and food didn't take too long to appear. We got one appetizer, 2 sandwiches, and seasonal soup. Oh and mimosas! Our mimosas arrived with the seasonal soup : Cream of Asparagus (topped with pesto oil, cream, and microgreens) Sandwiches were next : Chimichurri Chicken Sandwich (a pile of chicken with heirloom tomatoes, arugula, machego cheese, garlic aioli on a brioche bun) Sun dried Tomato Grilled Cheese (arugula. Fresh mozzarella, sun dried tomato pesto, balsamic reduction on sourdough bread) Which came with the flat bread appetizer (dungeness crab, became house cheese sauce, roasted red bell peppers, Sliced red onions, and so much more) Everything came out fresh delicious and would definitely try them again! All in a greenhouse, surrounded by plants, decor, and very determined customers.

My family and I had lunch on Mothers Day at Terrace Cafe for the first time and had the best experience! It was busy and we had a large group. Our server Sean was an absolute delight and pleasure who made our dining experience so incredibly special. Sean was so friendly, his energy was so joyous, he made us feel so welcome. I would come back again for another meal and hopefully be served by Sean again!! We all enjoyed his amazing customer service.

Had the sun dried tomato grilled cheese. It was delicious! I wasn't sure what to expect from a restaurant in a nursery, but I was pleasantly surprised. My dad got the grilled chicken Caesar salad and loved it. The prices are a bit steep and it takes a little while to get your food, but it seems like the food is made to order and came o

What happened to this place? I was there just a few months ago but this menu is out of joint. Got a steak sandwich with blue cheese. They poured the chimmi churri sauce ON TOP of the bun, so you had to lick your fingers in between bites to taste the sauce. Weird. Mom got the salmon and she liked nothing about it and asked the waitress to wrap it up so she could foist it on my dad. There was no sticky toffee pudding, which was the best part of their menu. I loved coming to Watsons because it always meant lunch at the Terrace Cafe, but now I think I'll pass next time and try something different when I'm in the areas.

This is one of the best places to get lunch in Puyallup. I've been in a handful of times and have been pleased with everything I've ordered. I tried the steak and gnocchi with a blackberry chimichurri and it was fantastic. Other great things to order are the beet salad and the short ribs. Delicious I also like that they change their menu items seasonally. Service is friendly and being located in a greenhouse it's a cool spot to relax and enjoy your meal.

Very good service. My waiter served me the very best pumpkin machioto I have ever had. Beautiful surroundings.

I've been a regular at this restaurant since it opened a few months ago. I was impressed by the unique and refreshing menu. The hummus, oysters, mussels, and salads were all fantastic. However, the recent menu change was disappointing. I was told it was a summer menu, but I doubt it. The quality of presentation left with the former chef, and the taste is no longer unique. Below are pictures of the dishes from the old menu.

    Roasted veggie sandwich

Cozy cafe in a cute nursery surrounded by plants. Family atmosphere with great service. Everyone is so nice and attentive and the food is amazing! Very fresh ingredients and friendly people. You won't regret trying it out! You may just become a regular too.

The Brucceta toast is so good! Love the balsamic drizzle!

We have the chef special which was a chicken skin dish and the short rib pasta with the added burrata; flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. Happy hour menu now is pretty bleak. My negroni was excellent but the old-fashioned flavor was off and seemed watered down. The bacon wrapped dates had only two dates on a stick for $6! Wish they would at least write quantity (2) on the menu if not give 3-4 as a tapa. They were out of bread buns for the HH burger even though it was 4:30pm and so we got the regular menu potato croquettes instead. They were ok but essentially just 4 giant tater tots for $14. I miss the pickled veggies with pimiento cheese and bread! And their happy hour with pasta used to be the bomb.

She was super nice, our waitress too. The place itself is very cute, super noisy (be mindful if you have hearings aids or are prone to sensory issues because it is CRAZY loud - so much so that they have noise reducing panels all over the ceiling and walls). It's very much a romantic aesthetic but the tiny tables become a nuisance when they bring you a plate per food item (steak and fries come separately, etc). The food itself is where we were kind of... disappointed is too strong a word, but something nearing it? We ordered the bread (which should never be $7 but here we are), the French onion soup, the steak and frites and the scallops. I'm a Spaniard so I'm very used to carne en salsa de pimienta, which I feel is what the steak sauce was meant to be. It was, don't get me wrong, it was just pepper on steroids! It definitely wakes you up!! It was missing some other spice or herb that I couldn't quite place but it wasn't bad at all, just definitely strong. Personally, the steak was well cooked but my husband said it was too dry for medium. The fries were very tasty but we are still team duck fat, and the soup was okay, but we've had tastier. Our main gripe was with the scallops. Keep in mind that the scallops were $47 (the steak was $45). The scallops were served over a bed of lentils and radish slices for some reason. Well, lentils, radishes AND ginger. By ginger, I mean all of the ginger in all the worlds' countries. Horseradish could give this dish a run for its money in the nasal clearing department. We didn't understand the almost Indian flavors in tacoma-french cuisine. It didn't pair well with the scallops and the rest of the menu, honestly. We couldn't eat it so basically we paid $47 for 5 scallops. Lovely that financial journey for us! If you're into sensorial challenges, both auditory and gustation, then Corbeau is the place for you! It's a nice place for a fancy looking dinner, but you won't be able to hold a proper conversation unless you're yelling. Also, don't be surprised - there's a 20% surcharge on every check.

We came to Snoqualmie to see the falls, and then decided to check out the local flavor. We visited the brewery next door and happened to see this spot on our way out. We have a tequila and mezcal lover in our group and it happened to be close to her birthday, so we had to check it out. There is a hall connecting the brewery to the bar where they have a shared bathroom, but they are two separate businesses. The place was empty in the early afternoon we came, but more people came in eventually. We happened to have the owner Marta take care of us and she was such a great host. We did a belated Christmas gift exchange with friends recently and our friends made reservations here. So glad they did! It's literally right down in the main Bellevue Square hub, so we were able to easily park at the mall and make a short walk to Castilla. Vibes were perfect with low lighting but still a bustling atmosphere. Our server (unfortunately forgot his name) kept solid recommendations coming all night and was so funny and personable! As this is a tapas spot, we tried quite a few dishes and split them amongst the table. Mixta Paella: our server promised us that the smaller size paella was good for 2-4 people and man he was RIGHT. The portion was absolutely insane and I don't think we even finished all of it. Everything tasted so fresh and there was so much flavor to the dish. They warn you ahead of time, but plan for the paella to take 30 minutes for them to prepare. Grilled Octopus Leg: Every time I have octopus (which is two times now LOL) I'm a little worried about the texture, but it was prepared beautifully here and the sauce that it was in was delicious. Salmon & Artichoke Dip: I'm a sucker for any type of artichoke dip and this was no exception. Creamy, rich, and great flavor! Beef Medallions: Tender and cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend. Chorizo & Onion Empanada: Another banger. So crispy and the filling was so good! I actually was on the fence about this one but my husband insisted, and it was a good choice. Patatas Aioli: Crispy layered potato with a garlic aioli? I mean, come on. You can't go wrong. Delicious. I had made a reservation in advance by phone. When we arrived, however, the restaurant told us they could not find our reservation. While mistakes can happen, the interaction felt dismissive from the very beginning. After we were eventually seated, we were not given menus, even though other guests around us received theirs immediately. We waited and asked multiple times but were still left without menus. Eventually, I tried to get the attention of the front desk and asked for a menu. Instead of helping us, the owner came over and told us that we were being "not polite" and that because we were "not polite," we would not be given a menu. Wanting to document our experience, I posted a Google review while we were waiting. Shortly afterward, the owner came directly to our table with the review on her phone and confronted us about it while we were eating. I politely asked if we could discuss it after the meal, but was told that we needed to change the review immediately or leave the restaurant. I was honestly shocked. I've never experienced a restaurant owner approaching diners during their meal and pressuring them to modify a review. This was my father's birthday dinner, and the confrontation made the entire evening uncomfortable and upsetting for my family. To make matters worse, after we got home, we realized that one of the dishes we ordered was never served at all, and no one noticed throughout the entire meal. I understand that service mistakes can happen. Losing a reservation, forgetting menus, or missing an item can all be corrected. What disappointed me most was how these issues were handled. Instead of acknowledging the problems, we were blamed, confronted, and pressured to change our feedback. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe future customers deserve to know about our experience.
