We have seen their signage over the years- but this time we saw it from the highway and had to pull over to check them out. Who can resist a good wienerscnitzel and let's face it- if that's the name of your establishment, you've gotta know what you're doing. I wouldn't say that the service was particularly "fast", but the drive thru was packed and the young workers that so could see were all working quickly and really professional and friendly. We ordered a double kraut & mustard meal- which was as it should be, fries were ok, but it was the Polish sandwich that was reminiscent of childhood kolbassy sandwiches in Pittsburgh. The flavorful slightly spicy sausage had very little fat, it was sliced in half, served on thick slices of soft rye seeded bread, with a thin layer of mustard, slice of cheese and a crisp dill pickle. It was heavenly- I'm sorry that I didn't snap a photo. I just read online that they are known for the shakes- which no doubt we would've also enjoyed. Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before. The only reason I stopped today was because it was free national root beer float day and so with any purchase, you got a free root beer float. My visit started off by having my order taken by an AI and then waiting 15 minutes to get Two corn dogs and the root beer float. My grand total for lunch was less than $5. So I can't complain too much the root beer float was actually very good and I would've paid for it. The corn dogs were Met at Best but what do you expect for two bucks and OK place to stop if you want cheap mediocre food and don't mind waiting. The real person at the window very nice and didn't know how to apply the promo (which lots of times they say they don't know how to apply the promo and you end up having to pay for the item you came for free). I don't usually leave reviews, but I had to for this! All of the staff was wonderful but what stood out to me was the short young girl. From the moment I walked in, they were welcoming, kind, and genuinely helpful. Not only did they take the time to make sure everything was perfect, but they also went above and beyond with their service. Their positive attitude honestly made my day so much better. I've never been to a Wienerschnitzel and just had to finally try it. We ordered the special chili fries along with some mini corn dogs. To be honest the corn dogs were weird. They tasted odd. But the fries were okay. The ranch was sub par and the chili and bacon were good. The fries themselves were just okay too. Outside of the Wienerschnitzel expect to see people behind the businesses shooting up drugs. It's a sad sight to see. The service was fairly slow for fast food, but what can you expect when everyone doesn't want to work and the ones that do show up don't have a full team to work with them. First discovered this chain when I lived back in California. One of the criteria I had when selecting a place to live was to make sure that I was near Wienerschnitzel as well as In-N-Out Burger. I found the ideal place and enjoyed living there for several years until I moved to Seattle. I found a Wienerschnitzel down in Vancouver Washington, but didn't realize that there was one up in the south Puget Sound area. I received meatballs on a hot dog bun with barely any sauce, tasty like it was covered in meatless manwich as opposed to marinara sauce I think. The food was good we are originally from Southern California and love Wienerschnitzel. The neighborhood is NOT the greatest! Parking is easy they do not expect any bills over 20 bucks because of fraud. If you are in the drive thru it's posted before you order also at the window to pick up your food. We live in Auburn and go there every 2-3 months. The trash is never dumped and they always put your food in to go bags even if you want to eat there inside. Short version - Gal struggled to listen/take order, was rude and off-putting, and toppings were ice cold. I went through the drive-thru to get a couple hotdogs for my grandma tonight, and things were rough. First, I ordered one dog with a couple customizations, and the gal made me repeat everything I'd already said. As I said, I've had this job. I'm often extra polite to these servers, because I know so many people suck. A kind customer can really help things after a rough day in the drive-thru window. But the gal at the window just gave off a mood of "F@¢& you all." Who wants to return any place with this sort of angry and blasé attitude?
