Amazing Samoan food as always. I will support my people's business. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful with their customers. I highly recommend checking them out to try out and tryout some authentic Samoan food.

I grew up in American Samoa going to Steven &Sons store and so was super happy when I learned they opened up a shop in WA. It's located in Fife and it's definitely been worth the drive from Tukwila. It's literally located off exit 137 (south bound) and in the same lot as the dollar store so there is plenty of parking. I mainly go there for the baked goods. My personal favorites are their German buns - jelly and coconut! My mom loves the coconut (Pani Pegu) so I always try to get her a dozen. They've got really great banana bread too that I just tried today. I really like the chicken pies. If you prefer the pies from Australian pie co located in Burien then you may not like it, but I like that there is enough crust to go with the rich chicken filling. Service is super friendly and there's always someone available to help you carry your food out if you need help. Other Samoan foods Luau Oka Faalifu Taro Mulipipi Kapisi mamoe Sosisi pua'a Mamoe and so on and so forth. there's more but this is kind of getting too long lol go visit and support Samoan owned businesses! :) Happy eating!

The cabbage rolls are delicious, the meatballs are fantastic, and their fresh-baked breads and pastries are some of my favorites in the area. That being said... I made the mistake of coming here on a Saturday afternoon. First, the parking lot. Wow. It took me probably 10-15 minutes just to find a parking spot. There simply isn't enough parking for the number of people that come here on weekends, so everyone is circling the lot waiting for someone to leave. Then, once you finally find a space, people don't leave enough room to get in or out because traffic is coming from every direction. If driving stresses you out, I'd honestly recommend visiting during the week instead. Monday through Friday around lunchtime has always been a much easier experience for me. Inside was just as busy. The deli counter had a huge line, and the store was packed with people. It was difficult to move around because shoppers were constantly walking in front of each other without much awareness of those around them. None of that is really the store's fault--it just speaks to how popular they are--but it definitely made for a stressful visit. The reason I stopped in this time was to finally try some of the desserts, and I'm so glad I did. The honey cake was absolutely incredible and easily my favorite. I'll definitely be buying that again. I also tried the Spartak cake, which was good, but the honey cake stole the show for me. I couldn't decide on one of the mousse cakes because they all looked amazing, so I asked the employee behind the counter to pick her favorite. She recommended the mango mousse cake, and she was right--it was delicious. The white chocolate shell gives way to a light, tangy mango mousse with actual pieces of mango inside. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The only downside is the price. The mousse cakes are roughly palm-sized and around $10 each. While they were very good, I finished mine in one sitting, whereas the honey cake and Spartak lasted me much longer and cost less. Overall, I absolutely recommend this market. The food, bakery, and hot deli are excellent, and I'll definitely keep coming back. My only advice is simple: avoid Saturday afternoons if you can. You'll probably enjoy the experience a whole lot more.

I tried them in the past apparently because I have photos associated to that visit (even bought a dozen). I obviously didn't remember until I started writing this review. First the location is pretty easy to reach. Small strip mall store front off Portland Ave. I walked in and there were two people ahead of me but no seating and hardly room to view the selection. There is a plastic COVID screen still up and pictures of people who have stolen from them. The selection of donuts is decent and apparently on the weekends there are speciality fritters. The owner operators are kind and so helpful (high praises!). I ordered one blueberry donut and one banana fritter. Both appeared to be well cooked and scrumptious. However, each of the donuts were over fried and tasted like old grease. The blueberry cake was full of blueberries but no real blueberry taste. The fritter was soaked in grease and no banana flavor. Sadly this is not on my list to try again.

Best HR we've ever had probably due to the crema and red sauce. Egg sandwich had unique flavors with the onion jam and the toasted roll was so perfect with the egg and arugula. Very well balanced. To begin with, the burgers made by both joints are similar, but please don't go expecting an exact match. And that's a good thing. There are plenty of places in the Puget Sound region trying too hard to make a poor facsimile. Pick-Quick goes another direction. This is a plus in my book. The bun is just right. The meat patty griddled to perfection. The cheese is cheese, and the veggies are what you'd expect. But the onion is the game changer. No lettuce to give you crunch but little if anything else besides potential intestinal distress (looking at you, Taco Bell). It's a single, solid slice of sweet, mild onion, a flat ring that adds a solid crunch and a satisfying counterbalance to the rest of the burger. A change in perspective that is both welcome and delightful. And they've got a picnic area to enjoy instead of a dining room. So there's that. Their fries are great. The shakes are great. The service takes a while, but that's because they're actually back there, making your order and the orders of the forty people who got there before you. And the wait is a part of the charm. A rite of passage, a way to atone for whatever sins you've made against the cheeseburger gods, for which you will be greatly rewarded in half an hour. Suck it up and deal.
