Went to dinner here with my family while I was up visiting the Seattle area a few weeks ago. I love trying all the new trendy burger spots in LA, so I was looking forward to trying a franchise in Washington that we don't have back in Los Angeles. The service was fast and friendly--and the price point is very reasonable for the quality of the food. It's not quite as fancy as some of the other places down here, BUT it's not as pricey either. The meat is juicy and well seasoned, and the fries are top notch (and HUGE portions--you can easily share a small between 2 or 3 people) . Go for the cajun fries if you wanna try something a little different. I'm not into things that are crazy spicy---it's more about the flavor and seasoning with these fries. I would definitely go back to grab a bite again when I'm up that way. read more

I went there this last weekend with my family! I heard some great things about Five Guys but was skeptical, I mean how good can a burger joint really be? It blew me away, the staff was super friendly and plus all the peanuts you can eat was awesome! I got a burger with the works and man was it messy! Peppers mushrooms jalapenos onions tomato's and lettuce IT WAS BOMB!! Plus I didn't know this until we went there but they can do lettuce wrapped burgers! My niece got one and it looked pretty good too! I would have given them 5 stars but they were a little spendy for what you get but the food is amazing! So if you want tasty greasy burgers and spicy fries this place is definitely a must! read more

Not the best one we have been to, by far. The food is fine, a little stingy with the fries but the obnoxious yelling of the 2 female employees working the grill is ridiculous. They are standing 5 ft apart, but yelling so loud to each other it was hard to hear the people I was sitting at the table with! read more

When I lived in West Michigan, there were no Five Guys there - The first time I had them was actually in East Michigan and then again when I moved out here. It's a pretty good burger - GREASY - But good. Warning: If you just have two people, do NOT get two large fries - ONE large fry is MORE than enough for 2-3 people. They fill up the cup plus they put an extra scoop in the bag. Don't go in expecting super-high quality, but it's good for what it is: A greasy burger done quick. :) read more

I have heard A LOT of hype from friends and from people in general about this place. My dad and I passed it on the way to a farmers market and it didn't pass our mind to stop by. So, we finally did. I was not really impressed with their burgers. In fact, I could barely hold it in my hands without it slipping all over the place. It was just.. grease. I've had better. I've been to this one, and the one in Renton. It's a better than average burger (slightly). The little burger is probably sufficient for most people. Seems like good quality meat, and they give you a ton of fries. Outside of that, it's not the kind of place I dream about or even first consider when I need a burger fix. I feel my arteries clogging but my mouth is saying "so so good." I'm glad that my friend told me how to read the menu before I got there -- otherwise I would have felt like exploding...in a good way. You walk in there are these huge unopened bag of peanuts. On top of them is an open box so that you can grab a generous serving to eat while in line and while you're waiting for your food after ordering. Don't be fooled by the long line -- it moves pretty quickly...unless you've got a bunch of newbies...it takes a few minutes to read the menu, etc. The employees get it moving pretty good though. There are two columns for burgers -- little means one patty -- regular means two. Caution! Little fits the bill unless you have a HUGE appetite. There's a hodge podge of toppings for your burgers and it's fun to change it up. Regular fries are enough for two to share (I like to get cajun fries with the seasoning on the side). It's enough because they'll also dump some fries in your bag when you pick it up. Fountain drinks are available after the "pick up" spot. Restrooms are at the very end next to the fountain drinks. You know the food is going to be good when you can see the grease slowly being absorbed by the bag. Employees are friendly and the atmosphere is good for kids. Limited seating but when the weather is nice -- you can sit outside too. I've ordered ahead of time once to go and it was really good too. I wouldn't go there every day, not even once a week but when I do go...my mouth tells me "thank you." read more

My boyfriend and I had to take a trip to spanaway, As soon as I knew I was going to be in the area I was excited about five guys. Although I had only been there once before a couple years ago I do remember how good it was. I did however forget about the prices. $21.00 for two burgers, a large fry and regular soda. The portions were large and we did have leftover French fries. A lot of extra fries! During our visit it was not very busy but steady. The tables and floors were clean on the inside and outside eating areas. The customer service was good too! The prices are the only thing that would make me hesitant to come back often, but it's a good treat once in awhile. read more

No matter how much you try to deny it, you have to admit that Five Guys is one of if the best burger joint in the Puyallup/South Hill area. Located off the busy River Road and Meridean, 5 Guys will give you a burger and fries that can't go forgotten. First of all, all of the ingredients are fresh which is posted all over the restaurant, and let me just say, it makes a HUGE difference. I mean it just doesn't feel so unhealthy as fast food places. I also loved the cheddar cheese for some reason. The decor inside is a bit bland, but it definitely isn't a real "sit down for an hour" kinda place. Excellent as all always but not the best five guys location. Still super good though. Portions at five guys are pretty big, and a little more expensive than your average burger place but still a good value. For two adults (the small fry is more than enough for us to share, we get two regular drinks and I get a little bacon burger, boyfriend gets a big cheese burger) it's about 20 bucks/ten dollars a piece. They have one of those freestyle machines, which is cool. Try it. Its good food. read more

I love a burger you can't put down till you are finished because a) it's so messy from all the generous condiments that it would fall apart if you set it down and b) because it tastes so darn good. Small (one patty) burgers are substantial, never had to go with the regular (two patty) burger. How do they keep a burger with no fillers so moist and flavorful when cooked well-done? It's a mystery to me! The only thing keeping me from 5 stars is inconsistent fries; sometimes they have obviously been sitting a while, and sometimes they are fresh and excellent. I went into the Five Guys on Meridian North this afternoon. I was totally appalled by the number of customers who were not wearing masks. I spoke to one of the workers and she said there was no way they could enforce it. However, other businesses are enforcing the requirement to wear a mask. Trader Joe's is one. There wasn't even a sign on the door that said masks must be worn in the establishment. The person taking orders could refuse to take the order of a person not complying with the mask mandate. Or an employee could be at the door refusing entrance to customers not wearing them. Other businesses are doing that. This is serious business folks. Went here today with the fam. Had a small bacon cheeseburger, hot dog, & Cajun fries. Burger was awesome. Fantastic CRISP bacon, good meat, vege's were fresh & crisp. Definitely worth another trip. The hot dog comes split & fried. Mine had too much mustard, ketchup, & relish. I couldn't finish it. The fries were overly seasoned with Cajun spice. Very potatoey. I tried the plain fries too and wasnt too fond of them. Will I go back? Absolutely. One of the better burgers I've had around. I found them kinda spendy too. This was my first experience here. It cost $30 for two burgers, fries, and drinks. The fries were soggy and grease-filled, not crispy at all. I love this place. Been coming here for a little while now. You start out with the decision of a double burger or the little (single) burger. Bacon, cheese, or cheese less burger. After you decide you get fries, regular or cajun. I personally dont like the fries, but they are fresh cut on location from local farms. They are huge, after they give you your share they throw in a lot extra in the bag. All in all a great place, free peanuts to snack on, and they have the new coke touch screens. I have no idea why so many people like this place. Too expensive. Burgers aren't too bad but they turn to mush and fall apart by the time you get 1/4 of the way through them. Fries are undercooked and soggy. They give you a ton of fries but what good does that do when they're so lukewarm and tasteless that you can only bear to force down one or two of the disgusting things before angrily giving up. Worst fries I've ever had in my 50+ years. I didn't think it was possible to make bad French fries but these guys pulled it off? Just plain awful!!! For quite some time now, Five Guys has been one of the spots that I've really wanted to try. Today, I finally got the chance... HOLYYYY. My god. This place is god sent. When I first read the menu and saw the prices, I definitely thought they were a little steep, but so worth it. They claim to give you the toppings for "free," but the overall price of the burger warrants the free toppings. They have such a wide selection - I only got mayo, pickles, and mustard on mine, but they have such a variety for others. The staff was incredibly nice, which is always a plus. For our table of 5, we got all of our food in probably 10 minutes or less. I expected a greasy, sloppy burger, but it was put together very cleanly and after I was done, I didn't have that nasty, now-I-feel-guilty feeling. It was just a cheeseburger, but it was amazing! They don't skimp out on ya either. I had so many pickles and a really generous amount of cheese... Mmm. We ordered two small fries as well, but really got enough to qualify for four small fries. The fries are cut and cooked right there, and you can tell how fresh they are. I'm so glad I finally got the chance to try this place, because it's definitely my new favorite burger joint. All I can say is delicious! The flavor of the burger is outstanding and I love the fact that you can get as many of their toppings as you want at no additional charge. Make sure to order a "little" burger if you don't like double patties because the regular burgers come with two. Fries are so delicious and you get SO many. They fill your cups and then scoop more into the bag. They are hand cut, greasy, and delicious. Their bacon is perfect...crispy and good quality. I highly recommend this place. My only complaint would be to get avocado and bleu cheese on the toppings list and to be able to choose different kinds of cheeses. read more

I am so sad....we used to eat here every couple of weeks.....didn't go for 9 months due to travel times....went this weekend. Sign says under new management. Price went up almost a dollar for the same order as in the past....the meat shrunk way down. I just didn't eat a third of the bun because the meat was gone...the fries were great... 5 guys has contacted me and is going to make it right. Apparently there could have been a problem that day. Eating lunch at the Puyallup location today at 12:23 when a Five Guys employee came in with NO SHOES on! She went up to the counter, the guy behind the counter getting the food out stopped working, despite the place being busy and chatted with the shoeless wonder. I heard her explain "I ain't wearin' my work shoes in my car". Apparently coming into work shoeless is a common practice for her. As she stood at the counter chatting away she was running her hands through the box of peanuts that's on the counter for customers. She then proceeded to go into the back, still shoeless as the day she was born. About 5 minutes later she came back out an announced "I don't work til one" and left. Maybe I just greatly dislike feet in Geneal. But I found it beyond disgusting. Paying $14.30 for a burglar and fries I shouldn't have to be grossed out by a shoeless employee wandering about. read more

They should have $$$ signs on this place. The large bacon burger was smaller than a Mc Donald's burger with pieces of bacon about 1 inch long and 1/2 wide. Meat on the burger looked to be hand formed but was a thin and dry as cardboard, I know it was not paper as it had the taste of beef. I know I will not return!! And you would do better saving your cash and going to a different place. Red Robin beats them hands down. read more

I had eaten here a few times before. we stopped in at 3 pm on Tuesday. The prices went up $1.50 on the double bacon. That's really disappointing because it was pretty overcooked. The tables were a mess we found 1 clean table in a empty restaurant while they had 5 workers making burgers for the 3 of us and they still took 15 minutes to burn and press the hell out the burger. 3 workers standing around looking out in space. A clean place could of gave it another star-- I'm not even complaining about the peanuts on the floor,under the table and on top of all the empty tables. read more
