I want to be clear - this one-star review is not about any food we have ever had from Abellas, the one time we were able to order food, it was all amazing. This is about Abellas lack of planning and courtesy for their customers. Two out of three times now, the second being Sunday May 3, we have tried to order from Abellas for special occasions, and they have been closed for oven cleaning the first time and today it's a kitchen remodel. I don't question the need for maintenance, but if you know in advance you will be closed, post that in advance on your website please. Even if you did post it on Facebook or Instagram, don't assume everyone uses those platforms. Just extremely dissapointing. read more

My dad wanted buffalo wings, so I found Abella Pizzeria had them on their menu! I didn't want to order from a big chain like Buffalo Wild Wings, or Wingstop this time around. I made an online order to pickup later in the day after work. It was really easy to use the Chow Now website to place the order. However, I left a specific special instruction before placing the order. I wasn't sure if their chicken wings were dry with a side of sauce, or came mixed in already, so I made sure to specify I wanted the buffalo sauce mixed in with the chicken wings. Upon receiving it, my request was not fulfilled. The chicken was dry with the buffalo sauce inside in a separate container. Not the end of the world since I just did it myself once I got home, but a little disappointed. The chicken wings were $13.95 for 10 pieces, which is pretty reasonable! They were a good size, cooked well, and tasted satisfactory other than the fact the sauce wasn't already mixed in. Maybe I'll order a pizza from them in the future since that is their forte. read more

Once again the online delivery service on their website glitched. Instead of having the food delivered to my house it switched to having it pickup. After years of doing delivery at this place this was my very first time that I ever stepped foot in. The staff here are nice, friendly, and wonderful. Just like over the phone. This is o e of many reasons why I order from here. The two main draws that really keep my business is the food and the no fee online delivery service. The food here is wonderful. The salads are excellent. I have tried most of the menu and they do not disappoint. The other draw is no delivery fees. Most places double their menu prices for delivery. Worst yet, there is no delivery fees here. Some places the deliver service would tack on a $50 fee (late night McDonalds) just for a $20 order. Not Abella! Worst yet, some services would tack on fees after you complete your transaction. However, there are drawbacks. The delivery service would always say your order was delivered when it's not. Sometimes I would have to call the place and track down their driver who never answers. Too bad their delivery service do not have a revoke tip feature. read more

I have been wanting to try Abella's for a long time now. My family stopped in on Friday night for dinner and it did not disappoint. It lived up to all of the other great reviews! This is our family's new favorite pizza spot in Tacoma! We ordered a medium half cheese half pepperoni pizza for the kids and my husband and I shared the Peppercotta. Everything was fresh. The garlic in the peppercotta takes the pizza to the next level. We ordered sides of ranch and it tastes house made. It also had the kids vote for best pizza joint. There weren't many drink options, but they do have canned pop, bottled beer and water. There is indoor seating. We live within the delivery area, and there is no charge for delivery, which is great. Tacoma WA. Still kind of reeling from the experience. Clearly a place to eat at when in town. Side Caesar. Getting this again. Very large for a side. Well constructed with fresh croutons and shaved Parm. Wonderful. Meatballs. A little strange how they showed up but I ate everything. The fresh Marinara was a great dip for the meatballs and the pizza crust. The pizza was just amazing. I like my food hot out of the over. Burn your mouth hot. This didn't disappoint. Hade to take a bite back out and regroup it was so hot when it hit the table. No matter I eat like a shark and went in for an immediate second attempt. In the end no blisters in my mouth, so it was just right for me. Cheese stayed gooey and ingredients that are so fresh. Got a brownie too but I rarely get to eat them after I bring them back to my tribe. A two finger brownie!! You got to try this place. It is a really great food experience. read more

The food was amazing, not a long wait for a fresh made pizza. We got the meat pizza with half normal cheese and half vegan cheese, I was very happy they allowed that, as many places don't. The vegan cheese itself is , one of the best I've ever had. Service was good, the one employee that was a bit "meh" in attitude warmed up after I think he realized I was having a tough time. Saturday lunch rush was quaint and quiet, feels like a traditional pizzeria. Pricing is the same as any other pizza place you would go (Dominos, Papa John's, cheaper than Papa Murphy's), so I would recommend coming here over them. read more

The pizza was good, I had to drive around the block a few times to find it because the sign was kind of hidden by a tree.

Four of us shared a 16" Peppercotta pie... a beauty loaded with pepperoni, sausage, ricotta, and garlic. The in-house made crust was sturdy yet chewy and their freshly made sauce complemented the pie perfectly. Service was efficient and friendly. When we got to the restaurant it was empty and quiet, but after ordering it seems like a lot of people have pick up orders. Inside was clean and spacious. Service was very good! We added ricotta to our Margherita pizza, and it was delicious! Their house salad is full of veggies, garbanzo beans, sliced Pepperoncinis, and artichoke hearts. It seems like all of their dressings are made in house and are amazing. Hot wings are super good and not too spicy. Prices are very reasonable! A Ella's is a cozy place on pacific avenue in Tacoma. When we got there no staff gave us a menu or told us we had to order at the counter. After 15 minutes a staff member gave my friend half a menu to look at. Apparently they only have one. By the time 45 minutes rolled by we had a decent looking pizza in front of us. I also ordered a hot ham and cheese sandwich that was brought out cold so I sent it back to be baked. Sandwich wasn't anything special. At least the pizza had pepperoni around the outside on the crust so it didn't have big bubbled crust on the outside while the cheese sucked everything to the middle. Tasted good. Lots of toppings. Wow!!! Best pizza and wings in downtown tacoma!! Pizza was delicious, flavorful, you definitely get your money's worth! The sauce is yummy too!! Meaty and juicy wings!! The pizza I ordered was delicious. It was a small meat lovers and it had a generous amount of toppings with perfect amount of sauce and cheese. Crust was soft and had a good bite to it. Not hard and not too chewy. Service was solid and the server was very friendly. It was raining and a bit cold outside. They could have closed the door to prevent the draft from coming in. I avoided this by eating in the common area. I am visiting from out of town and saw the prices in the Yelp app and place looked very affordable. Unfortunately, review was from 2019 and prices have went up considerably. A small pizza; wings; and a soft drink should not set you back $30. I've been here a couple of times. The pizza was not too bad, fresh ingredients, cheese pull and the crust was in between. Although I kind of wish the pizza marinara sauce had a little bit more zest, as well as the crust. They only do takeout an hour to close. I wanted to try it. But apparently the employees have to clean up early. So you can't sit and eat.

Pizza was so so. Parking wasn't easy (we found an illegal spot behind the restaurant to park in though). We did eat the pizza but it didn't leave a lasting impression. Will try another place in the area next time. The restaurant next door smelled delicious and was PACKED! Idk what it was but made me sad I didn't order there lol This place had nobody in it when we arrived for pickup. Idk if it was just the time of day or what. Overall 3 out of 5. I called in an order to be delivered to a nearby hotel and the gentlemen who answered was enthusiastic, friendly, and courteous. We got the food sooner than promised and it was exceptional!! We ordered a small Hawaiian pizza, large salad with house dressing (the dressing was oh so tasty ) and baked Ziti. We were very happy with both the service and all of the delicious food. We had leftovers and ate that up the next day too. I can't review the 'ambiance' since my order was delivered, but the employee who brought us the food was great as well! I LOVE Abella's... how dangerous it's not far from where I work! They seriously have the best pizza in town! The veggie pizza is my favorite, the BBQ chicken is delish, the Margherita is also great! I had their chicken Alfredo once & it was also tasty. Their caesar & anti-pasta salads are s great choice also when you're trying to be good. Abella's also has hot & cold sandwiches, we order them for our office often. You just can't go wrong with coming here!! The owner is wonderful & the entire staff is super sweet!
