Pizza is adequate but overpriced. My problem with them is with their check calculations. We had a party of five and the check arbitrarily added 20% for 'Large Party Gratuity". Then, after giving my credit card, the final bill for signature had an added a 3% credit card surcharge. And, on top of that sales tax added onto the whole total (meal, large party gratuity & credit car surcharge). AND, there was a line to add and additional tip. Total bill was 35% more than the cost of the meal. I probably would have given a 20% tip, but resent the fact that they arbitrarily added the large party gratuity. I don't recall anything on the menu that gave a forewarning of the large party tip adder nor the 3% credit card surcharge. I think this should be more prominent on their menu. Also, charging sales tax on the gratuity and credit card surcharge is highly unusual. read more

Found this spot on Yelp and the photos made me drool! My best friend and I were really hungry for lunch and came right as they opened. We decided to share a pizza. I think we chose incorrectly. Do know we only tried one thing here, so we might've had more luck with a different dish. We got the spinaci pizza. It was very oily and a bit watery with not enough flavor. This gets an extra star from me because the service was amazing. Our waitress was super sweet and easy to talk to. She was so enthusiastic. We sat a highrise table right by the window so had a nice view of inside and people watching outside. It's a trendy place and I liked the vibe. This pizza was just alright. It has a thin crust and I guess felt like it was trying to be fancy/authentic, but at the same time was pretty underwhelming. The bread/crust was really dry and I didn't feel like the toppings could make up for it. Maybe it was not of enough sauce? Sopressata was definitely the best of the ones we tried but even then I didn't care for it that much. Prosciutto was good because it had dried dates on it which was a nice surprise but also dry. We also had the four cheese one which was pretty bland. Lastly the fungi was my least favorite. Overall I didn't really love any of them and this is coming from someone who basically loves all pizza. Visited Bainbridge Island for the first time. Stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant and decided to have dinner here. Ordered a Margherita Pizza and a Rucola Salad (Sol Farm arugula, strawberries, hazelnuts, fennel, Cana de Oveja sheep's (milk cheese), Balsamic vinaigrette and Fennel pollen. The two complimented one another where the salad tasted fresh, slightly sweet, nutty, and tangy. Had their tiramisu afterwards and it was amazing. The staff are very friendly. They are quick to answer questions and made sure we were well taken care of. If we ever visit this island again, we will make sure to have dinner here once more. read more

My daughter, wife, and I arrived a little after 6 pm on a cold Saturday night in January. The restaurant was busy, but they were able to find us a table with no wait. We were warmly greeted by our server shortly after being seated. The restaurant was full of energy with numerous lively conversations. It was loud, but not loud enough that we couldn't carry on our own conversation. We each ordered a 12-inch pizza of our liking, knowing that we would have leftovers to take home for lunch the next day. I ordered the Italian sausage pizza, Salsiccia. My wife ordered a Margherita pizza, and my daughter ordered a Prosciutto. All three pies came out of the brick oven in no time. We shared slices from each. Exactly one month after eating here my credit card has been charged for stolen purchases. Close to $800 before my bank caught it. This restaurant was the only time my card was out of my sight, the only time I did not use Apple Pay. Even then my wife warned me but I told her it would be fine, the girl seemed hard working and honest. We don't eat out often, the server's name is right here of the receipt. Delicious pizza! I can't eat dairy so ordered the Vegan Margherita with pepperoni added and it was wonderful. The homemade vegan cheese tasted similar to ricotta and was very tasty. Automatically giving them a high score because this was one of the few restaurants in Winslow that was serving vegetarian friendly meals (which was appreciated by myself and my veg friend). Came here at around 4:30pm and immediately got seated. The interior has a rustic feel with very spacious high ceilings but yet feels pretty cozy. I ordered the meatballs and prosciutto crudo. The meatballs were hyped so much in the reviews but they definitely delivered. It tasted delicious and flavorful yet light and delicate. Weird way to describe the meatballs but that's what comes to mind. The prosciutto crudo was just a pleasure to eat to the very last bite. I also love the crust which is lightly crunchy yet soft and slightly doughy on the inside. Finally for the dessert I tried the house made tiramisu which is one of the best I've tried in recent memory. Not too sweet, not too much cream, not too moist or dry, just perfect. It came out very cold which I really liked. The little cocoa nibs on top were unique and a huge plus. This is also a very very generous portion and can be shared by 2 people in my opinion. My only complaint is the sneaky service charge that they slip into the receipt. It's a 5% extra charge to the total that is meant to be a tip pool for management. Thats a bit ridiculous to me. Shout out to Jeffery for being that perfect, charming and accommodating 5 star server! Every time I come to Bruciato... there are absolutely no L's. This time we got the burrata, meatballs, cesare salad, olives e focaccia and datteri e prosciutto. All 10/10 Cesare salad- dressing, lettuce and croutons were all super fresh and delicious ingredients - it's a great portion and we finished all of it Burrata with peas - SO fresh and beautiful Focaccia and olives - made me change my mind about green olives - wow so so good. Meatballs- best sauce I've ever had on a meatball and loved the mix of pork and beef Datteri e prosciutto- perfect mix of sweet and savory and the wood fire oven hits the spot with that crust! I had to get the waitress' attention and had her bring over hot pepper flakes, which was the only spice they offered. Every other pizza place I've ever been to in 70 years gives you hot pepper flakes, oregano, and garlic powder. Not this place. The hot pepper flakes made the pizza taste better. My family and I were very hungry one day after visiting the Bainbridge Island museum. My husband noticed this pizza place that looked a little upscale. I'm always concerned when this is the case because we have two small children and we usually are very casually dressed. Thankfully, my concerns were quickly assuaged to see other families with small children inside as well. They have long family style wooden tables at the front, with smaller tables towards the back - which is where we sat. You can see them baking the pizzas at a counter next to the bar which makes the experience a lot more interesting. My eyes immediately went to a canned Rainy Daze Stout and it was the best stout I've had in a while. The pizza offerings themselves seemed typical, but what attracted us most was the fungi pizza because the mushrooms were "whatever had been locally foraged." And my goodness was it delicious! The crust was very thin... so although I was very satisfied hunger wise, my husband was not. He loved the taste of the pizza as well though. For the kids, we ordered one pepperoni pizza to split amongst them two. And holy pepperoni! I don't think I've seen as much pepperoni on a pizza as I have that day. We've been to Vera Pizza-labeled places before and they are always a cut above. Speaking of which, they give you pizza shears here -- a first for me!
