I love my pizza from Coltiva! I came here for a group dinner on a weeknight and it was fairly busy. It looks small in the front but has a much bigger space when you go in the back. They have an authentic pizza oven so it gets a nice char on the crust. I thought the flavor of the dough was pretty good. I ordered the dishes and fennel pizza. I thought this was a nice combo and had a good amount of both sausage and fennel on top. The sauce was tasty too! The pizza was quite large so o would suggest sharing with 1-2 people. I also had some of the caprese salad and it was great! Had a nice pesto sauce and balsamic drizzle. I'd like to come back here to try some of their apps and drinks. read more

3.5 stars. It's pretty good, but proximity to Seattle center lends itself to some challenges. Be sure to make a reservation because it fills up fast especially on days there there are events, whether that be at the opera, Key arena, etc. I'm not entirely sure but it seems like they've recently expanded their dining room into the adjacent space. This is good because the original dining space was tiny. However, it didn't seem like they had quite staffed up to accommodate the larger capacity. Overall, this is probably the best pizza you can get in the Seattle center/Lower Queen Anne area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

Great Pizza, Rotten Hospitality 11/13/2025 Thu 7:15 PM Some restaurants reveal their true character not when they're slammed, but when they're empty and choices cost them nothing. Coltiva Pizzeria e Barra failed that test spectacularly. The setup is straightforward: five small tables for two and one claustrophobic round table crammed against the wall. I arrived to find two couples finishing their meals and three tables sitting empty. As a solo diner, I approached the bartender for a table. He directed me to the corner table. When I asked--politely, directly--to sit at one of the larger open tables instead, he refused outright. Not "let me check," not "give me a moment"--just no. Three empty tables within arm's reach, and his answer was still no. Hungry and pressed for time, I didn't have the luxury of walking out to find another restaurant. I sat down. Minutes later, both couples left. The entire restaurant emptied out. Five tables, zero diners, and I remained marooned at a table designed for drinks, not dinner. The bartender passed by twice, saw me cramped at that tiny table with every other seat in the restaurant vacant, and never once offered to move me. The indifference was deliberate. When my pizza finally arrived, reality became farce. The table was so small the pizza consumed every inch of surface. There was no room for a plate, no space to maneuver. Eating slice by slice--the way any reasonable person eats pizza--was physically impossible. Maddi, the waitress, immediately grasped the problem. She took one look at me struggling with this absurd setup and suggested I move to a larger table. She understood instantly what should have been obvious from the beginning. But here's the part that burned: moments after I relocated, a couple walked in. They were seated immediately at one of the empty tables. No cramped corner. No refusal. No struggle. Just normal, human hospitality--apparently reserved for everyone except solo diners. The pizza was genuinely delicious, which makes this whole debacle even more maddening. Excellent food shouldn't have to fight its way past hostile service to reach the table. An empty restaurant where the bartender refuses a simple, reasonable request serves only one purpose: reminding certain customers they don't matter as much as others. Seattle's dining scene doesn't lack options. It lacks tolerance for this kind of treatment. Coltiva can keep its corner table and its arbitrary rules. I'm done. Very cute and quaint little pizza spot in Seattle! The food was so yummy, we got the vegetarian chorizo pizza and the Burrata pizza - both so delicious and a good different mix of flavors! The service was nice although that being said I do think the place could be a tad bigger and therefore more staff. It was decently crowded on a Wednesday night but the server didn't come back to give us water until we asked at the end. I also wish the prices were a tad less for the portions, but we did have some leftovers. We enjoyed! read more

Overall the place is really cute and quaint. The menu is quite small with mainly pizzas and so we ordered the butternut squash and the daily special which had pepperoni, sausage, garlic, and mushroom with a French 75 to go with it. The butternut squash was just kinda dry to us and the daily special was just not special, reminded me of a classic meat lovers pizza with mushrooms. Not much better than a pizza huts pizza in my opinion. The French 75 was ok. The service was very nice and friendly. They had sport games on the TVs which was fun. They have outdoor seating which might be a vibe if it was nice out and they had nice string lights. I think this place has potential to be a 4, it just wasn't today. The pizza was very good and I would definitely come back for it! The drinks were fine and fairly typical for an Italian spot, but I wished the had perhaps a bit more of a selection. Overall though I'd definitely recommend it. Our server was highly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She was very kind and helpful with getting us situated when the food came - the two person high tops are a bit small so we played some Tetris. The ambiance was really cute and intimate. Great for a date night or for time with friends or family. I can't really see groups of more than 4 getting seated though with the sizing. It started to get pretty busy about 30min to an hour after open so I'd recommend a reservation if you aren't coming earlier. I'd also probably sit at the bar or make a res for a table next time as it was a tight squeeze for the workers to get behind me to the storage area - they were always considerate and tried not to bump me but it was rough with the reality of the table placement and space available. I love the pizzas and Caesar salad here, one of the tastiest in the area. Great location near Climate Pledge area but that can also cause a problem because of food shortage (the day of the Cure concert, low on beer and Caesar dressing-i even offered to pay for extra dressing but was told no) and limited staff. On game or concert days, the line is out the door, and expect service to be sup...p...p...er slow. We ordered the burrata and a pepperoni pizza that took about 40 mins, along with a 2 Caesars and didn't get our salads till after the pizza (a plate with lettuce, little grated cheese, croutons, and a side of their delicious dressing- that was disappointing). Service is good when you can get their attention and the drink menu and bar has improved over time. High turnover in staff, which could be a good thing. When Coltiva first opened, I took a date there, and six years later, we're still together. Located in Uptown, Coltiva filled a much-needed gap for quality pizza in the Seattle, even before the Climate Pledge Arena and Expedia popped up. The place has a unique California-inspired vibe--personable yet casually elegant, complete with a full bar. The original owner, who also helped start a successful brewery in California, spent months in Italy mastering high-temperature pizza making. He sourced authentic ingredients and invested in top-notch equipment to ensure perfect cooking. To elevate the experience, he brought in a top-of-the-line espresso machine for perfect coffee and carefully selected the best local wines. He was always experimenting with new cocktails and pizza combinations. But most importantly, he was very friendly and made rounds around each table to make sure everyone was having a good time and enjoyed the food. Although the pandemic led to a change in ownership, much of Coltiva's charm remains unchanged. The pizza is still fantastic, especially the ones with a burrata placed right in the middle of that 12" pie. We ordered the Margarita, and the Piccante/Hot Coppa pie, half cheese. The sauce wasn't too acidic, and the cheese stretches wonderfully, adding a unique flavor that stands out. The diverse combinations keep the menu exciting. Unfortunately, I didn't see coffee listed, but pizza and drinks are enough anyway. Coltiva is a bit off the beaten path, but the food and drinks are definitely worth the trip. However, like any place, there are always areas for improvement. On a recent visit, our young server was energetic and made some good suggestions, but she seemed overwhelmed by a large party inside. She was doing her best but appeared a bit rushed and didn't have extensive menu knowledge. This might be more on management to address. Additionally, while taking pictures for my review, I sensed some fish-hook looks from the bartender. There's no need to get upset when people take pictures--it usually means they like the place or they do social media. A welcoming attitude always goes a long way. Overall, Coltiva remains a great spot with delicious pizza and a generally welcoming atmosphere. Just in case it's the small space gets too busy, have a backup spot ready in Uptown. This place seems to be pretty lowkey as it wasn't too busy when we came for dinner on a Friday night. It was walking distance from our hotel so we figured we'd save ourselves a Lyft to Pike/Belltown since Coltiva seemed promising. The drink menu is a bit underwhelming for me as there were only very basic options but nonetheless the drinks were still good. We ordered their Brussel Sprouts and Burrata Pizza with sausage which were both delicious and big enough for my friend and I to have leftovers at the end. I love the way they cook the brussel sprouts, it was glazed very well! The pizza is delicious with added sausage, I love the little clumps of burrata was in almost every other bite. The dough is tasty and it was overall a good pizza, especially with red chili flakes and Parmesan added on top. We would definitely come back to avoid lines at other pizza places since we were seated immediately with no reservation. First visit back to Coltiva since Covid -- and was surprised to see they'd changed a bit (but tbh, who hasn't?!) Gone is their extensive natural wine list, but restaurant manager / server Garrett was happy to let us sample some of the wines and beers by the glass. (Pro tip: he's a heavy pour -- and owns it. ;-)) Garrett won us over with his charm and humor; seriously, it's so lovely just to interact with someone who loves their job (thank you, Garrett!) As three hungry folks, we tried a bunch of dishes: the brussels sprouts and flatbread appetizers, and the burrata jr. and kale / butternut squash pizzas. The brussels sprouts come out in a little cast iron skillet and were hot and delicious; the flatbread was good, but not memorable. Pizza-wise: we loooooooved the burrata jr. pizza. It's basically a margherita pizza with a giant burrata on top. The kale / butternut squash was less of a hit; the butternut squash is a puree that's spread out over the crust, not chunks. The pizza also comes with a giant burrata on top (this is great for dipping your crust, btw!) We added some salt and fresh parm to it, which helped, but we all agreed we just loved the red pizza more. I'm so glad to see this little neighborhood gem has survived the pandemic, and we'll definitely be back soon. I think next time we might try the goat cheese pizza. Nom nom. read more

Super cute little place with nice outdoor seating and a couple of smaller tables inside. The service was ultra slow, they are way understaffed. We went on a concert evening and came early enough where only 3 tables were taken, but it took 20min to place our drink order and another 10 to get the food order in. I can't blame the server, he was the only one working all the tables. He was seating parties, buzzing, taking orders, serving... He clearly was overwhelmed with the situation and it got only worse when more people arrived. The pizza menu is small and simple, but probably a good idea to keep things moving. This place was a DELIGHT. The first thing we noticed upon checking in to Coltiva was how friendly the service was. Like "when you're here, you're family" level friendly. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but when we arrived at 5 for dinner on a Friday there were still a handful of seating options both inside and out of the restaurant. We ordered a refreshing Limoncello Spritz and Paper Planet cocktail as we waited for our pizza order. Both were wonderful! Our Burrata Jr. pizza was delivered to our table with heaping pile of burrata in the center and was so good we made the painful decision to stop grabbing extra slices once we were full. The Delux pizza (w/pepp on half, your girl is vegetarian) wasn't the ugly step sister of the night, and also tantalized our taste buds with its dried tomatoes and goat cheese. Came here to meet a friend for drinks and an early dinner. It was hot out so I ordered a limoncello spritz ($9 if I'm not mistaken) while I waited. It was just what I wanted; nice and refreshing without being too sweet. The drinks menu is on the limited side, but everything on there looked solid to me. Also, the limoncello is made in house! No wonder it tasted extra fresh and not artificial. When my friend arrived, we ordered a Burrata Jr. pizza to share and a side of the Brussels sprouts with bacon for her, a Caesar salad for me. I really want to love this place but I can't get past the inconsistent hours. Multiple times now, I've tried visiting during hours they state they're open and they're not. Most recently, I tried going in to order takeout at 8:45pm and was informed that the oven was off already when their website and all internet sources state they're open until 10pm. I wrote off the first few occurrences as one-offs but at this point, it's a pattern. I'd suggest calling ahead to confirm they're open before making a special trip to this spot. The pizza is pretty solid-- for 6 slices it could be considered a bit on the pricier side, but it makes sense for the area and the ingredients are high quality. The outdoor seating on a nice day is perfect for a date or chatting with a friend, indoor seating is cozy and intimate, and service is always friendly, even if occasionally slow. My favorite menu items are the Pepperoni Americano (I love the cupping pepperoni), Piccante Numero Due (spicy and delicious, sometimes a little soggy from the toppings but that doesn't bother me), and the Brussel Sprouts are a must! If you're in the area and have some time on your hands, try it out but I'd recommend you have a backup plan just in case. read more

We came on such a beautiful day and our pizza came right at golden hour so being outside was amazing. The pizza itself was beautiful, with perfectly stringy cheese and simplistic toppings.
