Delicious spot. We got there before the crowds hit since there was a protest. Very cozy and our waitress was so sweet. She was great.

This place is terrific! Super close to the ferry dock. It was an hour wait, but worth it. They have a bunch of toys and games upfront for kids, which is absolute genius and I don't know why every restaurant doesn't do it. We played sushi go while waiting for our meals. The muffin of the day was a chocolate orange and the flavour was terrific. We got the breakfast burrito, which was enormous and I had half for breakfast and half for dinner that night. Citrus French toast was my favorite. The kale salad had a very strong olive flavour so make sure you like olives before you get it. Really like this place and will probably make it our go to when we go to Bainbridge

Streamliner Diner is a cozy, friendly spot conveniently close to the Bainbridge ferry. I've been twice and the menu is simple with plenty of good options. The first time I tried the Potato Deluxe -- tasty, but the hash browns were a bit too soft for me since I prefer them crispy. On my second visit, the waffle was delicious, simple, and exactly what I wanted. Overall, great location, quick food, and a comforting, homey atmosphere. I'd happily come back. Friendly service as well!

Best Breakfast ever!!! You gotta try the Biscuit's and gravy, it's definitely different than the rest. Onions for sure. The staff was so welcoming. It was already 3pm (closing) and they let my group another, like it was "no big deal". Thank you for that. Derreck, Seattle Mayor 2029.

We were looking for a quick brunch spot on an early Sunday morning and decided to try the Streamliner. It's a diner. It's got diner fare. Not a lot of seating inside, but with some nice outdoor spots when the weather is nice. We had no problem getting a seat when we arrived. Something worthy to note: they have a lot of vegetarian options (noted by VEG on their menu). They're also downtown and quite close to the ferry terminal. I ordered their Basic Breakfast (2 eggs, toast, muffin or biscuit), and my girlfriend ordered their breakfast burrito. The Basic Breakfast was what it was called: basic. I got the biscuit, which was tasty, especially lathered with butter. Bacon was slightly overcooked. Eggs were fine. I got some pico de gallo on the side, which was all right (not spicy in the slightest.) My girlfriend's burrito was kind of a brick. There's no other way to describe it: rectangular, and fried in a pan. It was also quite dense and dry. She did not enjoy it.

First time visiting Bainbridge and first time in this diner . I was a bit disappointed 'cause there were not too much customers --that led to us waiting for more than 30 mins to get our food, excluding waiting to get our orders . Also, the service needs more orientation on how to set the customers' table and needs improvementif dining . But then , the food has its consideration --it was good Space is well decorated yet too narrow...

Cutest breakfast spot in Bainbridge. The breakfast burrito was the size of my head! Have a biscuit and fresh jam while you wait for your breakfast and wash it down with delicious coffee.

Had a very interesting experience at the Streamliner Diner. We came pretty early on a weekend for brunch, but still waited a really long time for a table and a really long time for our food. I think we put our name on the list, walked down to Blackbird and back, and still waited 20 minutes to be seated. Our food took around 70 minutes to come out... over an hour! They were busy for weekend brunch, but I feel like over an hour is pushing it. The table next to us actually didn't get food because their order was LOST! I think their order got comped... but that was really unfortunate to overhear. I got the Green Machine Scramble which was fine. I thought it was good but not worth the wait. I did think the blueberry muffin that it came with was pretty good as well :) Maybe I would come if there was no line and the food was guaranteed to come out in a reasonable amount of time. I wish I had read some reviews before coming here.

Service was good, cute ambiance, food was filling and hit the spot. We hopped off the ferry and came right here for breakfast, there was no wait.

The service was great and it was fascinating to see how efficiently they work behind the counter in the open kitchen. The service was friendly as well and the biscuits were amazing. We all had breakfast items and we were fortunate to not have to wait when we entered and had counter seats for our party of four. It took about forty-five minutes for our food to come but watching the staff adeptly prepare the dishes made the time go quickly. There was a generous amount of food and to be honest struggled finishing it.... would definitely head back here on our future visits but possibly next time hold the cheese!

Sausage Pesto omelette with Fruit and Muffin

My favorite breakfast spot here on Bainbridge! My favorite time is first thing, before 8am. Favorite item is the Sausage Pesto omelette with fruit on the side, and the muffin. Today's muffin was Butterscotch Pecan. So good!!! If they are offering the Banana Walnut, Ginger Peach, or Turmeric Pear, just say yes. You won't regret a single bite!

Basically the only place in Kitsap open for brunch on Sundays with decent vegan options! The tofu scramble has some tasty marinated tofu chunks with spinach and mushrooms, but I don't like mushrooms so got them to sub in olives. They did charge me an extra $1 for that. It comes with perfectly cooked and steaming hash browns on the side and your choice of toast or muffin. I specified no butter for my toast, but it did come out totally dry. I was fine with that for the most part, but had finished my food with half a piece left and half wasn't going to eat it dry, some jam would've been nice! I would've asked, but we were in a rush. They also initially forgot to bring my hash browns, but quickly remedied that when I asked about it. The place is busy. We arrived at 11:10 am in a Sunday and though there was no line, all tables were full. We lucked out as a group of three was just leaving, but it took a few minutes to turn over the table. Once we sat we ordered quickly and coffee came out fast (they have oat milk), but then the food took quite a while. Since we needed to leave, we went in and asked to pay around 12:40 pm. There is a nice little outdoor seating area for when the weather is decent! It's October and we were fine outside, I imagine they close that at some point. We did notice that whenever the Seattle-Bainbridge ferry arrived, there was a mad rush of people and a line would form, so if you're not coming off the ferry, would highly recommend you look at the ferry schedule to avoid right after one arrives. My friends (not vegan) got the BLT Benedict and breakfast burrito and said they were good and filling. "Perfectly cooked poached eggs with runny yolk and no slimy whites."

I don't think they take reservations. When we were there, it was first come first serve.

Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and well executed in this fusion restaurant. The spicy truffle wontons with grilled shrimp were a standout! They were super aromatic with the truffle flavor coming through, and the shrimp added a nice extra layer of texture and richness. The wontons were not quite spicy, however. We also tried thier chili prawn noodles, which had egg noodles and was just as good. The tempura shrimp was also crunchy and added to the great mix of textures. We also had the rockfish, which was in a nice creamy sauce and cooked nicely, complementing the rest of the meal well.

Among a few other spots, Ba Sa was on our hit list to check out, so we came by for lunch. Its a nice looking modern Vietnamese restaurant with a fusion-y spin on Viet food. We didn't know what to order so we looked at a bunch of photos to see what looked good. We started off with the Chicken Buns. It was really good karage chicken bao buns, very flavorful, nicely prepared and the mayo was tasty! We really enjoyed this to start off our meal. As for our entrees, we got: Bun Cha Hanoi: Good amount of meats, I really liked this, comes with 2 pork patties, 2 grilled pork skewers, an egg roll, noodles to dip in the nuoc cham sauce with lettuce to make some wraps. I went to town on this! Sautee Beef Vermicelli: I got some bites to this dish as well, beef was plenty, quite flavorful stir fried beef, good marinade on the beef, comes with vermicelli noodles with some assorted veggies and crispy bits on top. A good non soup beef noodle dish! We came at a good time, we got seated pretty quickly, friendly staff, it is on the pricier side but we enjoyed the food a lot. The place got busier when we were leaving. Worth coming by to check out if you in the neighborhood!

HI LIFE is an exception, and will be a go-to going forward. The Poke sho-ka-do box is a great option for open minded first-timers. It's a huge amount of food, easily satisfying two and giving you a nice sense of the variety of fish and marinades on offer. Note that it's a fixed set, so you'll likely end up with some marinades/fish you prefer over others. The mayo-base poke wasn't my jam, but that's personal preference. One note, it'd be nice if the box included rice. it's available for $3 extra, which feels trivial. As for dining environs, it's located in a refurbished service station. There's limited indoor seating by the service counter, but most tables are under the overhang where gas pumps would have once been. I'd go at a slightly off-time if possible to ensure you get a seat! Today I stopped by for one of their quiches--their spinach and goat cheese--and a lemon blueberry scone. Both were super yummy. I often get one of their chais too, which are also quite tasty (and not at all dry, a common problem with scones). We ended up giving items away and thought maybe the bakery was just having an off day. The staff seemed bothered by having to take our order but hey- we all have tough days! Well...day two of our trip we decide to prioritize stopping by again. After a local saw us waiting 30 minutes for our toast and jam she told us to go ask and that "sometimes the staff can get really overwhelmed ". So my daughter stood in line a second time and was told that the employee heard we wanted it to go so it had been sitting at the end of the counter the whole time. We specified we wanted to eat it inside. We asked kindly if they could fix the mistake and we were happy to wait. To my genuine surprise the employee with the pink hair opened the bag of toast, plopped our three orders on trays along with the plastic to go tiny jams and dropped them on our table with the most dismissive uncaring attitude I've seen. You could get more care at a convenient store. We thought we'd try to eat them anyway and the pieces were cold and hard. I asked her about them and her response was "well you asked for to go". Not only does she seem incapable of doing her job basics but as an employer I'm shocked she is granted the simple tasks of serving toast in the first place. She made sure to put plenty of energy into gossiping with her co worker about her irritation with us. We have strong ties on the island still and come back often but we will gladly skip the visit here in the future. I certainly hope these staff members get some basic skills in customer service for their own future.
