One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. **BIG DISCLOSURE** the restaurant part is only open Thursday-Sunday evenings, the market is open M-W. Plan accordingly! I try to come here every time I go to Bainbridge and have always loved whatever I get. Their bolognese sauce is delish, as well as their wild boar ragu. They have a variety of freshly made pastas to try, I love their radiatori because they hold the sauce really well. It takes a little time for the food to come out because it's all freshly made, but it's worth it! There's some indoor seating and lots of heated outdoor seating. The inside has a cute little market, the kitchen, and some seating. Highly recommend!!

Some of the best Italian food around the Puget Sound! I tried their marechiaro which came with squid ink tagliatelle and was filled with seafood. Tasted so fresh but I did wish I could taste more of the squid ink. I also tried their mini cannoli. Other than the food, the vibes were nice. There was plenty of outdoor seating on the patio. You order at the counter and then pick a seat in the back!

Very authentic Italian restaurant. We make an annual trip over to Bainbridge just to dine here. Easy going vibe. Walk up to counter and order. Everyone is very nice. Food is authentic and delicious

The pizza was burnt and cold. My fiancée got the pepperoni pizza. It was black on the bottom. I got the prosciutto pizza and it was the worst pizza i've ever eaten. It was 90% raw cold arugula. With prosciutto sloppy thrown on. It tastes like I was eating grass. Really disappointed and they didn't even have pasta left by the time we got there at 6:30. to top it off it was 44$ and all we got was 2 pizzas. Westside pizza has better pizza and it tastes better too.

Whenever I'm on Bainbridge Island, I stop in and pick up a funghi pizza, with 6 types of mushrooms, fontina cheese, finished with white truffle oil . . The best! I take this home and share with my teenage grandson along with a Mexican Coke.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Via Rosa 11 one day and we were so impressed we returned a month later with my family for my birthday dinner. The location may seem unassuming as it shares a lot by a convenience store, however, the food is remarkable. The first time we had dinner here, we did not have a reservation, so we shared part of the community table. The other couple eating at the table was nice, however, it is a good idea to make a reservation ahead of time if you want a private table. When you enter the restaurant, you walk to the register to order and pay for your food before being seated. The cashier was helpful and gave great recommendations for wine and food pairings. The service was quick, and we received our appetizers and meals within half an hour of ordering. All of the pastas, sauces, and pizzas we tried were made in house and incredible. Don't skip dessert... our party of 5 enjoyed sharing the tiramisu, cannolis, and budino al cioccolato. They also have a small market area where they sell some of their foods to-go in addition to wine and other Italian-imported goods. We like the lemon-infused olive oil and lemon candies.

A casual Italian market and restaurant serving authentic Italian food. Upon entering you're in their small market. This is also where you place your order. We sat in their charming, covered patio. The food here is excellent. The pastas were so flavorful. The panini sandwich was made with the freshest tomatoes and perfectly grilled juicy chicken. This is a great option for lunch while visiting Bainbridge island.

Duck ragu, butternut squash ravioli

We were unfortunately disappointed by this place, especially after reading the reviews. We ordered the duck ragu and butternut squash ravioli - the duck ragu was okay, nothing exceptional but the butternut squash felt like there was something missing. It tastes like what it says on the menu which is literally butternut squash with browned butter sauce, but it felt like it wasn't seasoned, so I had to ask for some salt. The dishes overall felt a bit bland and though the customer service was a 5/5 (very considerate about nut allergies), the food was a let down.

A day to Bainbridge and decided to try Via Rosa 11 and it did not disappoint. My family ordered a Caesar salad with dressing and anchovies (upcharge) on the side, ravioli with vodka sauce, spinach fettuccine with wild mushrooms, and a mushroom tartufo pizza. The pasta was homemade, perfectly cooked. The ravioli was seasoned well but the mushroom fettuccine needed more salt. The pizza was good and the sauce was flavorful, not like a typical tomato sauce. They serve a thin crust Neopolitan style pizza. The crispy on the outside pillow crusts were good. Order at the counter and they will assign you a table. Then the servers provide water, utensils and plates. They were attentive and provided refills on water, salt and takeout containers. We ate out in the tent with heaters and it was great, not too cold but also it was a nice sunny day and start to the Memorial Day weekend. Grazie Via Rosa 11!

Finally made it to Via Rosa 11 after hearing so much buzz about this place. The Pizza Angelina was an absolute knockout - the guanciale added this perfect salty bite that played beautifully with the sweet San Marzano tomatoes. Those Castelvetrano olives are the fancy bright green ones that actually taste amazing (not the canned stuff), and the Fresno peppers gave just enough heat to keep things interesting. The 6 formaggi ravioli with wild mushrooms was pure comfort food luxury. Each pillow was stuffed with this ridiculous cheese blend, and the porcini mushroom sauce had this deep, earthy flavor that I'm still thinking about days later. Heads up - it can get packed, especially during dinner and their website asks you to call ahead with your entire order. Worth every penny though. This is legit Italian food that rivals spots I've tried in Seattle and definitely the best I've had on Bainbridge Island. Will definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu.

Spinach & Ricotta ravioli with ragu sauce.

Everything we had was absolutely delicious! The pasta was amazing, sauces were even better. We had the boar ragu, eggplant parmigiana, and the spinach ravioli. With a cannoli for dessert and it was fine. The set up is a little different from most other places. It's kind of like a deli where you order at a counter and wait for your food. The staff was very friendly and the food came out pretty quick. My only semi complaint is one dish came out 5-10 minutes before everything else, but I'd rather that than have it sit under a heat lamp. Went on a Friday and it was very busy so I recommend making a reservation.

Definitely recommend you visiting Via Rosa, staff is so welcoming and sweet. If you have any questions about their menu they attend you with so much respect. It reminded me so much of when I visited Italy, the food was 10/10 wish I could get in my car and go lol Definitely will come back in the future!

We each ordered a 12-inch pizza of our liking, knowing that we would have leftovers to take home for lunch the next day. I ordered the Italian sausage pizza, Salsiccia. My wife ordered a Margherita pizza, and my daughter ordered a Prosciutto. All three pies came out of the brick oven in no time. We shared slices from each. Funny, we all thought the pizza we each ordered was the best, but all were great. Service was excellent the entire evening. Our server was attentive and funny. We enjoyed our meal and our visit and will return

Best Fresh Pasta…read more This review is based on the products-- we've been going to the farmer's market and always find ourselves visiting the La Pasta stand every time. The ladies at the stand are always very friendly and helpful in their suggestions (such as which type of sauce to pair with the pasta, or the flavor of the pasta or ravioli filling). Thus far, we've gotten the egg bucatini, the red pepper bucatini, the seasonal gnocchi, and the dreamy garlic spread. Generally, I'm not a big fan of fresh pasta, because many times, I feel it gets too mushy (or perhaps it is the quality of the pasta). La Pasta fresh pasta has never been mushy; it has that imperative al dente bite-- a clear sign of good quality pasta. The gnocchi is flavorful and pairs well with the dreamy garlic spread. Looking forward to trying the pumpkin ravioli later in the week. The price is comparable to the fresh pasta you would find at a specialty store, like Whole Foods, Metropolitan Market, or PCC Markets-- however, La Pasta's quality is far superior. La Pasta products are worth the price. We look forward to trying any new products, as well as upcoming seasonals. We also hope that they may have a brick and mortar store in the future on the Eastside for the farmer's market offseason.

We did find seating and there is seating in the restaurant portion, as well as down the stairs. It's a cute little place in the heart of pike place. We got the lasagna casalinga, from the farm, and from the sea pastas. Lasagna casalinga: I love lasagna but I've never had a white sauce lasagna before. I really loved this and I loved it a lot more than I expected. It has peas, sausage, and mushrooms, made with in house bechamel sauce. I thought this might feel super heavy and rich since it was a cream sauce but it wasn't! It was creamy without the feeling of being "too much" when eating it! That's always my worry whenever I eat cream pastas or sauces, that I can only eat a few bites and then feel full bc it the richness. The mushrooms, pea, and sausage worked so nicely into the flavoring of the lasagna and the sausage was flavorful and seasoned well. I believe it's a pork sausage which in my option always tastes great. From the farm: this was my absolute favorite! I always lean towards ragu or bolognese sauce, it's my favorite dish because the flavors become so pronounced during the cooking process. This was a bison ragu with perfectly al dente rigatoni. The bison wasn't gamey and pair so nicely with the ragu because it was able to get in all the crevices of the pasta. We opted for burrata as a topping which gave a really nice creaminess From the sea: this was a spaghetti with rockfish, pea vines, leeks, and harissa. The pasta felt a little Asian inspired, in Chinese cooking we steam whole rockfish and pea vines are a very common veggie dish, so I loved that the elements made me think of my culture. The harissa also gave it a spicy kick which was reminiscent of having chili oil or chili paste on the side at dimsum. While I loved the flavors of this it wasn't my favorite because it was a bit too light. I really wished the flavors were bolder and more pronounced. Rockfish/white fish is very mild fish so the taste is very dependent on the flavors you add to it. However if you like light flavors and fish that isn't too fishy, this is great! This is a really fresh dish so even though it wasn't my favorite doesn't mean it's not a great pasta! I can't wait to come back to try the next rotation of pastas!

There weren't a lot of people that day, we had the whole place to ourselves. The guy who took our order had so much patience to explain each pasta. I got the from the sea and my husband got Pomodoro. He still talking about this place and won't stop talking about it. Mine of the other hand was okay; the taste is kinda odd to me, and it's kinda too salty for my liking. The fish were so small, like tiny pieces, I wish its bigger. My personal favorite of my dish is the Al dente part and the pea vine. Other than that mine was meh. The whole place is sooo cute and definitely a cute date spot!!!

When you enter the restaurant, the kiosk is front and center, and you place your order on the touch screens. There are typically 4 types of pasta to choose from, and about 4 sauces. There are salads and sides that you can add to the pasta. I love burrata, and so that was my add-on. The kitchen is always in full swing, with lots of activity, and is open to the public for viewing as they prepare meals. When your meal/order is ready, your name appears on the screen, and one of the employees calls your name. Seating is available after you place your order, and water is self-service as well. I love the cost-reducing atmosphere of the place. The place is well lit, and the staff is pleasant and helpful. I had pesto sauce with spaghetti and a salad. The pasta was supposed to be al dente, but came to the table cold, with a bit of a crunch and a sticky-to-the-tooth texture. This really did take away from the meal. The burrata was okay, but it seemed to be better prepared when they first opened. Again, this is a place I have come to look forward to, and I enjoyed the previous menu. Also, the website menu does not match the in-store menu at all. Because I love the neighborhood vibe of the place and the no-nonsense model they use, I have to go back to see if they can recapture what got my attention when they first opened. My only advice is to prepare the pasta as advertised.
