This place is amazing, I wish it was closer to me! First time going, lots of choices so I had a hard time choosing - and with a long line behind us there was lots of pressure. BUT the person at the register was so very helpful, he offered to give a sample of some bagels. And his description of the taste of the different bagels was very helpful. The staff were so kind and friendly. They brought the pressure down & we were able to make a decision with confidence. The only thing that wasn't so great was that one bagel was harder to chew/bite than the others. So the texture wasn't as great, but that was compared to the other ones, which were near perfect. I've been back once more since, and again - same great experience, maybe even better tasting than the first time, which how?! How even?! These are absolutely the best bagels I've ever had. Crisp crust, chewy inside. I love that they try new flavors I've never seen before, like Potato Chip, Ojai Heat, etc, and the good selection of schmears savory and sweet. We'd been looking for another sandwich place for lunch on Bainbridge since our favorite moved to Pulsbo, and we finally found it! Really good house made bagels of various types--we particularly like the Ojai Heat--and a variety of sandwich types. I usually go for the traditional Lox, but there are many others and you can also build your own. The place gets swamped on weekends, but the line moves fast. The 2:00 closing time is kind of dumb, so be sure to get there before. No late lunch for you! read more

An excellent little bagel shop with very strange hours. The lines are pretty decent now and it's definitely worth adding to your weekly breakfast schedule. We love the plain especially. Bagels are good, sandwich I had was not the best. Cream cheese is good but does cost $2.50 for a small small small container. The sandwich I had was the egg sandwich and its was okay. Id prefer the bagel slightly warmed so it's softer because it was a cold and really tough to eat. The single bagel was warmed up and tasted way better with some cream cheese. What do they put in these bagels? They are absolutely DELICIOUS!! They are so soft and taste as if they were made a second ago. Every time we stop in for a bagel, we try to get something new, but we always get the 'Classic Bagel & Lox Sandwich.' It's so delicious. It will definitely fill you up. My husband and I always share. Of course because they are literally next door to where I live, it took me months to finally walk over there. That said, I am so glad they're in the neighborhood. Expectin' a quiet little town with fancy tea shops or whatever. But then, BOOM, like a slap from a New York cabbie, I see this bagel shop. A BAGEL SHOP, on Bainbridge freakin' Island! My New York heart skips a beat. Could it be? Could they really know what they're doin' out here? As I'm headin' in, the owner--Frank, because of course that's his name--even greets me in line. They got a menu that would make any New Yorker proud: sesame, poppy, everything, even a bunch of extra schmear flavors for those feelin' extra fancy. We are from NJ and truly appreciate authentic NY bagels! These bagels are authentic and sooo delicious. I especially like the unique creations like the French Everything and the cream cheese is the best I've had; my favorite is the apricot thyme. Briny Bagels (Rolling Bagel) has excellent bagels (double sided everything can't be beat). This place is always busy, but they adequately staff it, so you get your order super quickly. They also carry Sleepy Monk coffee from Cannon Beach; so good! Can't wait until they're open for a couple more days a week. I do think they need to add both a vegan cream cheese and a hummus option for those who don't do dairy. read more

These are the best bagels I have ever had. They changed the way I see the world. I am a new person. When I took the first bite....woah. The composition of my body changed after trying these. Honestly, I've had more flavor in a damp paper towel than in the bagels here. The cream cheese was about as spreadable as concrete, and the bagels themselves were as dense as a brick. If you're looking for a bagel that could double as a doorstop, this is the place for you.
