Terrific Caesar salad, Margherita pizza, and Tiramisu…read more Service was very quick on a Saturday evening. We seemed to have come at the perfect time because a group was just leaving but we opted for bar seating. Other than that, the space is on the smaller side. It would have been nice to have been checked on a little more as I wanted to order more drinks but took it as a sign and we left after my one. Still, a great place to relax and enjoy a great Neapolitan style pizza.

They had a TV playing the game, but also a great vibe of playing records throughout the place. We were lucky to find a seat for my group of six! I wish I had taken more pictures because the ambiance was amazing and so cozy! We all shared three pizzas: Margherita, Al Diavolo, and Ginnys! All were so tasty, I had a hard time picking a favorite. For drinks, I had a midnight espresso, which was delicious and had a hazelnut flavor. Then I ended with a glass of white wine, I forgot which type, but I loved it. The staff were excellent and let us know about the sister bar next door, Fast Fashion Brewery. After eating, we stopped by and enjoyed their place! I'd recommend The Masonry to smaller groups, as next door at Fast Fashion Brewery, it was better suited to larger groups, but it was a 10/10 experience either way! I'd love to stop by again!

We did find seating and there is seating in the restaurant portion, as well as down the stairs. It's a cute little place in the heart of pike place. We got the lasagna casalinga, from the farm, and from the sea pastas. Lasagna casalinga: I love lasagna but I've never had a white sauce lasagna before. I really loved this and I loved it a lot more than I expected. It has peas, sausage, and mushrooms, made with in house bechamel sauce. I thought this might feel super heavy and rich since it was a cream sauce but it wasn't! It was creamy without the feeling of being "too much" when eating it! That's always my worry whenever I eat cream pastas or sauces, that I can only eat a few bites and then feel full bc it the richness. The mushrooms, pea, and sausage worked so nicely into the flavoring of the lasagna and the sausage was flavorful and seasoned well. I believe it's a pork sausage which in my option always tastes great. From the farm: this was my absolute favorite! I always lean towards ragu or bolognese sauce, it's my favorite dish because the flavors become so pronounced during the cooking process. This was a bison ragu with perfectly al dente rigatoni. The bison wasn't gamey and pair so nicely with the ragu because it was able to get in all the crevices of the pasta. We opted for burrata as a topping which gave a really nice creaminess From the sea: this was a spaghetti with rockfish, pea vines, leeks, and harissa. The pasta felt a little Asian inspired, in Chinese cooking we steam whole rockfish and pea vines are a very common veggie dish, so I loved that the elements made me think of my culture. The harissa also gave it a spicy kick which was reminiscent of having chili oil or chili paste on the side at dimsum. While I loved the flavors of this it wasn't my favorite because it was a bit too light. I really wished the flavors were bolder and more pronounced. Rockfish/white fish is very mild fish so the taste is very dependent on the flavors you add to it. However if you like light flavors and fish that isn't too fishy, this is great! This is a really fresh dish so even though it wasn't my favorite doesn't mean it's not a great pasta! I can't wait to come back to try the next rotation of pastas!

The menu is very small and simple, I recommend checking it online before coming since they usually only have one "spike" dish that stands out and is special. If that dish doesn't particularly stand out to you and you don't feel like spending $20+ on basic pasta then you're out of luck. The pasta itself is very good! Good texture on the noodles, the flavors were very mild but fresh and organic. I really liked the inclusion of various nuts as it added complexity to the flavor and textures, I've since added sunflower seeds to my own pasta recipes. All in all, I think it is actually worth the medium-high cost for a first experience and the pasta does feel higher quality. It reminds me of Tavolata

We ordered a round of cocktails to start. I got the Loosen Mai Tai while my dining partner got The Professor. My drink was refreshingly sweet and my friend enjoyed his. For food, we shared the Burrata as our appetizer. It was creamy and everything in it paired so well. For my main, I got the Scallops and my friend got the Pappardelle. These were some of the best scallops ever. The flavor of the whole dish was wonderful and I loved the decadent mint gremolata. My friend's dish had plenty of short rib and was super tasty. Coming from New York City, when I hear family style I'm picturing big shareable plates for the table to be going back for seconds (maybe even THIRDS). The dishes here were quite small and very pricey, which made it hard for them to function as true family-style portions. That said, the food itself was excellent, very unique and the service was genuinely wonderful. The staff were attentive, warm, and made the whole evening feel really welcoming. I can't say enough about the staff, just SO lovely. So if you go in expecting beautifully prepared small plates rather than true family-style dining, you'll probably have a great time. Just adjust expectations on the portion sizes!

I didnt love the curb-appeal of this place from the street view, but once you walk in, it feels very cozy and warm, and i could even imagine some italian Nonnas rolling out pasta in the back. We started with drinks - the typical negroni for me and the girlfriend went with their Mauro option, which I believe is named after the original owner. My negroni was exactly what I was hoping for, but I honestly think the Mauro was better! Slight drink envy - no notes! Went we go to Itailan spots like this, we love getting an app or two, then splitting a pasta and pizza. We had to try their caprese salad as it is one of our favorites. They kept it simple which is always ideal with caprese - wide cut tomatos, single basil leaf on each, a touch of balsalmic/EVOO, and a thicccck slice of their buffalo mozzarella. The only issue i had was not enough balsamic - I love a heavy acid to cut through the EVOO and buffalo mozzarella. Their balsamic seemed to be reduced which is nice, but not enough 'bite' in my option. For mains, we split their Salsiccia Pizza and the Pappardelle. The pizza was great with one caveat - their marinara and sausage were super simple and super flavorful. My only issue was with the CRUST - not good at all, super soggy and did not hold up against gravity. For the Pappardelle, after mispronoucning this dish, i basically inhaled it. Wild boar for the protein and the pasta was clearly made in house. The kapers and kalamata olives really made this dish - brought out some brine-y brightness that balanced out the tomato based sauce perfectly. Our server was the epitomy of perfect - unobtrusive yet very aware when we needed something. I dont recall her name, but her photo is in other posts below! Cant wait to go back :) Side note, Mauro has a few cookbooks, which I believe has some receipes the restaurante uses - super cool!

I've driven past this spot a gazillion times and just read this specialty business has been around since 1997! Props for longevity! I stopped in yesterday (1/22/26) for three reasons: I had a Too Good To Go confectionary pickup, wanted to see their Kasama Chocolate selection, and look around after my 15-16 year hiatus. Parking along Elliott in the Interbay area is dicey due to bus lanes, parking restrictions and traffic flow. Luckily, there are a few parking slots on the south side of their building, adjacent to Holy Mountain Brewing. Walked in and was blown away at the retail layout, so much to see! The counter person (owner?) was busy with another customer. Their convo was very warm and interactive. So I slowly meandered through the store and really liked what I saw. I should have come here for useful holiday gifts. I was later checked upon inquiring whether I needed any help locating any particular item(s). Chocolates, spices, olive oils, sauces, condiments, pasta, and other specialty items that a culinarian, gourmand, or treasure seeker would fully enjoy. The retail displays are so enticing and provides a lot of inspiration. Plus ChefShop is a lot closer to me than heading to PFI on S Dearborn. I ended up having to restrain myself and selected ras el hanout and berbere spice jars and two bars of Kasama Chocolate for purchase. The latter I learned about from Instagram, much closer than having to trek to Granville Island Public Market in Vancouver, BC. Plus my TGTG confectionary bag, everything found made for a successful retail visit. Terrific retail layout. Welcoming and informative customer service. With the loss of Chocolopolis further down Elliott, ChefShop is another great resource for quality chocolate varieties. Definitely, follow them via IG (@chefshopseattle) for up to date info & classes. Great to stock your pantry, find unique gifts for others, and treats for yourself. Just don't have such a long delay between visits like me. Highly recommended!

They have every spice you can imagine and lots of gourmet condiments too. The owner is friendly and they send out a very lengthy e-mail every week highlighting some of their products and providing recipes to try. The first time I came was for a fun tasting event where we got to sample some of their Mediterranean herbs and spices used on hummus. The next time I came here was for a Too Goo to Go pickup where they had a special recipe surprise bag. It came with the recipe and some of the ingredients needed to make a pasta dinner. They regularly have pickups available on Too Good to Go so that's a great way to try some of their products at a discount. The only drawback here is that the prices can be a bit steep, and sometimes items are not priced clearly so you might need to ask.
