    Ode to Joe
    Austin P.

Our friends recommended this place months ago and we finally made the trek to try it. We got here five minutes before they opened and there was already a line. Fortunately, we were able to get a table. The interior felt very cozy and intimate. Perfect date night vibes! We started with the Winter Panzanella salad and then got the Ode to Joe and Cherry Bomb pizzas. The salad was good and a nice reminder (to me) that panzanella is a thing. However, it could've used a bit more salt or acid. Both pizzas were great too. The crust was perfect! We really liked the Ode to Joe, but it could've used a bit more of the mushroom or thyme flavor. Just something to make it a bit more savory. The Cherry Bomb was good, but something about the flavor combo was amiss for me. Despite my notes, I would gladly come back here and eat my way through more of their menu!

Definitely on the pricier side, but the food is very good. I really like a thin pizza, and about the pizza I got, When Pears Fly, the honey on it was perfect. It reminded me of a charcuterie board on a pizza which surprisingly went well together. The pasta was a little disappointing to be honest but it might have more to do with what I enjoy and less about the quality of the pasta. I didn't enjoy the nuts in it as well as the kind of cheesy (like an odd cheese) aftertaste. Waitress was very nice and kindly gave us her recommendations with explanations. I like when restaurants give us time to eat and not constantly checking up. Lastly the restaurant is quite small so it gets loud quickly but the lighting and ambiance is very calm, great for photos.

Finally got to try and it's so worth it! The atmosphere was very cozy and cute, not too dark like other Italian spots. You absolutely have to get the bread service Because it's one of the best pieces of bread you can ever have. It's super soft and warm and seems like it's baked fresh. The pizza was very flavorful and best if you like thin crusted pizzas. The Caesar salad was delicious and loved everything about it. The portions are huge, so it's perfect for 3 to 4 people or good for leftovers! The service is excellent, and the staff is super friendly.

This pizza changed my life. Quite possibly the best pizza I have ever had. I got the cheese pizza, hot honey pizza, and salad. As well as a pasta. Fairly disappointed with the pasta, not well seasoned. However the quality of the pizzas and Caesar salad more than make up for it. Believe me when I say that the cheese pizza was life changing. Never had a Cheese pizza taste like that before, such incredible depth of flavor. The Caesar salad was also a surprising hard hitter. It's a small intimate dining room but the staff is still quick. You'll be able to watch the kitchen if you're seated close enough. Make sure you get here early as there is a long line. If you can't make it in the first seating, you might be waiting a while.

A cozy dinner at Cornelly on a rainy, fall night was definitely a mood-booster. My friend and I arrived at opening and were seated without a wait. We both ordered the Medieval Manhattan - delicious! For food, we split the chicory Caesar salad, our server convinced us to order the seasonal chanterelle pizza (over the Hornet Honey which is available year-round), and a cappelletti pasta that had a sauce so good, we dipped our pizza crusts in it! I'd love to come back here during another season and also try their Queen Anne location.

Cornelly fell short of expectations, but I'd be interested in coming back to see if it was a one off. Service is wonderful, great recommendations and bubbly energy. Food however, has room to improve. Pizza cooled down super fast and the pasta came in room temperature before cooling down rapidly. Personally thought the pizza was underwhelming and the pasta was much better, which goes against the emphasis on pizza by many folks. Bread Service - tasty focaccia but cut in a way that's just annoying to eat. Four thick pieces mean having to cut or take bites before buttering. More volume and less surface area tends to be extra work when it comes to applying sauce or in this case, butter. The rotating butter was lemon this time and balanced the greasiness of the butter and oil on focaccia well. Rigatoni - al dente. The rigatoni was cooked well to be firm yet hold a nice solid chew. Pork bolognese was tasty, but didn't feel ike there was enough to balance the pasta. Ratio was way off, as we ended with straight pasta at the end. I typically expect pasta dishes to have leftover sauce that bread (such as the focaccia) can pick up. Classic Pep Pizza - I hadn't read the comments about the pizza here, so I didn't have unreasonable expectations. Pizza was overly oily, dripping everywhere and had too much dough. The crust was sufferable to eat as there was absolutely no flavor and it was dry and doughy. Again, if the pasta had leftover sauce this would've been a pivotal moment to impress, but the combination of no sauce with dry crust leaves a lot to be desired.

My friend recommended me this place as of a hidden gem ish pizza place! We got really likely with street parking across the street and arrived about 15 minutes before it opened at 5pm. My friends and I were the 2nd group in line. We were just chilling and talking and we turned around and suddenly the line became VERY LONG (it was crazy). We were in a bit of a time rush so we already decided what we wanted to order while we were in line. We got seated immediately and ordered our food. We got the hornet honey (mozzarella, spiced pineapple, hot honey, pepperoni, basil with red sauce) and the rigatoni (pork bolognese, tomato, herbs, parmesan reggiano).

Cornelly might be one of my favorite places to get pizza in Seattle. I saw so many people praising it and I definitely think it lives up to the hype. First, I have to mention the caesar salad. Probably the best caesar I have had in Seattle, but I am not an expert in that area. The caesar salad dressing tastes house made, pretty lemon forward. You can taste literally all of the ingredients that go into the dressing. The chicory and onion were a nice addition to the salad - it added different texture/flavor. I would skip on the rigatoni - it was good but nothing really special? It seemed like the pasta was a little undercooked. The sauce didn't really stand out to me and was a little too herb forward The hornet honey pizza was so good, lowkey changed my life. It was perfectly salty and sweet, with the slightest heat from the hot honey. The pineapple is such a great touch - it brings an additional sweetness and tart that cuts through the meat. There is a good amount of toppings and hot honey drizzled. The crust is thin as I like it. No other notes. Restaurant space is very small, tables are close together and can get very loud with the music they play. You can expect to kind of share a table with another 2 top if you are sitting indoors. I do really like the outdoor space too. All of the staff are very kind and friendly.

Cornelly doesn't get enough attention for being one of the best spots in Seattle for pasta. Don't be scared about parking in Queen Anne, drive over there immediately and stuff your face with sauce. I will give you one recommendation of the highest order - you must get the bread service. These little bread nuggets are perfect - and I don't throw that word around lightly. They have cracked the code to toasting here. The bread is crispy on the outside, but feels like you're biting into a cloud on the inside. And that jalapeño butter.... I was eating it with a fork after we were done with the bread. Impeccable work here. Where do I even start with the pasta? We tried a variety of dishes, and they all came out at different times. It felt like each time they were bringing us an even better dish, but it seems as though there is simply a lack of bad options here. The pasta options are so rich and flavorful that you're going to be rolling out of here when you're done. You might see "Spaghetti" on the menu and pay it no mind, but that would be a grave mistake here my friend. If you have any faith in me at all, order that spaghetti. It's orange hue will bring nostalgia of a simpler time when you were eating Chef Boyardee, but BoyWereWe having a phenomenal time with this meal. It's a must have. A truly potent flavor that I have never experienced with this humble form of pasta. I can't wait to go back to Cornelly again. Maybe I'll go for my birthday .

This is my favorite pizza place! I wish I can go here whenever my heart desires, but unfortunately it seems to be a lot of peoples favorite pizza place because it's always so crowded. The crust is so good - crunchy, crispy, but has a nice chewy texture. You can never go wrong with any of the pizzas, but I love trying the seasonal specialty pizzas. They are always so unique, combos you'd never think of but pair well together. Definitely pair the pizza with the chicory caesar salad - one of the best caesar salads I've had!

A place that has been on my bucket list for a while, and I am so happy I finally got to go! Parking is difficult due to limited street parking. I suggest coming early, taking public transportation, or carpooling with friends! Came on a weeknight and still waited 30-45 minutes for a table. Again, I highly recommend coming early to avoid a long wait time. Everyone was super friendly and gave great recommendations. For drinks, we ordered the seasonal special cocktail. For dishes, we ordered the Chicory Caesar, Cacio e pepe, and the Hornet honey. You can't go wrong with salad, pizza, and pasta. This combination of dishes was amazing. Our favorite was the pizza. The dough was chewy but still had a nice char. The pepperonis were crispy and paired well with the hot honey. Honestly, in my opinion, one of the best places for pizza and pasta in Seattle.

    Alex L.

Cornelly was awesome!!! They only open at 5pm and don't take reservations. Get there around 4:40 to allow for parking and to grab a spot. Seating inside is limited but there also is outdoor seating. My friends and I were second in line and were immediately seated at 5:00pm. We chose our dinner in advance and ordered asap once seated. The interior is cozy and vibrant. The pizza is phenomenal. You can watch them spin the dough there. The pasta selection is amazing. The bathroom is shared with the neighboring restaurant. I'd come again!

We did find seating and there is seating in the restaurant portion, as well as down the stairs. It's a cute little place in the heart of pike place. We got the lasagna casalinga, from the farm, and from the sea pastas. Lasagna casalinga: I love lasagna but I've never had a white sauce lasagna before. I really loved this and I loved it a lot more than I expected. It has peas, sausage, and mushrooms, made with in house bechamel sauce. I thought this might feel super heavy and rich since it was a cream sauce but it wasn't! It was creamy without the feeling of being "too much" when eating it! That's always my worry whenever I eat cream pastas or sauces, that I can only eat a few bites and then feel full bc it the richness. The mushrooms, pea, and sausage worked so nicely into the flavoring of the lasagna and the sausage was flavorful and seasoned well. I believe it's a pork sausage which in my option always tastes great. From the farm: this was my absolute favorite! I always lean towards ragu or bolognese sauce, it's my favorite dish because the flavors become so pronounced during the cooking process. This was a bison ragu with perfectly al dente rigatoni. The bison wasn't gamey and pair so nicely with the ragu because it was able to get in all the crevices of the pasta. We opted for burrata as a topping which gave a really nice creaminess From the sea: this was a spaghetti with rockfish, pea vines, leeks, and harissa. The pasta felt a little Asian inspired, in Chinese cooking we steam whole rockfish and pea vines are a very common veggie dish, so I loved that the elements made me think of my culture. The harissa also gave it a spicy kick which was reminiscent of having chili oil or chili paste on the side at dimsum. While I loved the flavors of this it wasn't my favorite because it was a bit too light. I really wished the flavors were bolder and more pronounced. Rockfish/white fish is very mild fish so the taste is very dependent on the flavors you add to it. However if you like light flavors and fish that isn't too fishy, this is great! This is a really fresh dish so even though it wasn't my favorite doesn't mean it's not a great pasta! I can't wait to come back to try the next rotation of pastas!

He still talking about this place and won't stop talking about it. Mine of the other hand was okay; the taste is kinda odd to me, and it's kinda too salty for my liking. The fish were so small, like tiny pieces, I wish its bigger. My personal favorite of my dish is the Al dente part and the pea vine. Other than that mine was meh. Fatty and tender meat, dripping with juices, on top of the perfect focaccia with an ideal crunchy fried crust and airy interior, not to mention the excellent marinated eggplant, tender and filled with tangy vinegar essence. I couldn't wait to give their actual restaurants a try, and that's where we found ourselves over the rainy weekend. This particular location is open and clean with extremely friendly staff. Ordering is really easy on the 3 kiosks in the front, although the pasta chef/cashier is also happy to take orders, offer suggestions, and help with any questions. The menu displays the level of al dente to expect with each type of pasta but can be adjusted in the order notes. They also have a very convenient monitor up near the kitchen that displays order status, whether in the preparation phase or complete. I especially love how this restaurant has bar seating in front of the fresh pasta making station. We were able to watch as the chef mixed up a batch of fresh spaghetti, measuring out the semolina flour and water (at least, that's all I saw her add to the combo mixer-extruder), preparing the die, and then extruding the pasta. And yes, as with any high quality pasta, they use bronze dies for extrusion here! The pasta is dried on racks for a bit to really give that al dente bite when cooked. Suppli Al Telefono ($3.70) - An order comes with a single piece nestled in a mini fry basket. This is somewhat similar to the more commonly seen (in the US at least) arancini. It's a smaller log-shaped fried croquette, with tender rice cooked in a fragrant tomato based sauce, stuffed with tons of gooey, stretchy cheese, and then deep fried to golden perfection. The breading is fantastically crunchy, contrasting against the much softer interior. It's a great pairing of texture and flavor. (5/5) Short Ribs Ragu w/ Fusilloni ($14.90) - The chef recommended the fusilloni with the ragu. The fusilloni, essentially a larger fusilli that has longer "fins", has plenty of spirals and crevices to catch onto the sauce. The extrusion is a little inconsistent, with some pieces being longer than others and others being more spirally, a sign of manual hand cutting rather than being machine sliced. Per the menu, the fusilloni is cooked until a "2" al dente level. This is actually more al dente than most Italian restaurants, meaning the pasta has a very firm bite, yet remains slightly chewy. It's definitely cooked through and pleasant to eat, although trending towards the too al dente side. The pasta is only lightly sauced, but what sauce there is clings perfectly onto the micro rough surface of the pasta. Each bite is consistent in taste with all the rich umami and tangy notes from the red wine tomato sauce. The parmigiano reggiano adds an additional burst of savory saltiness and the short rib, rendered perfectly tender, is given in enough quantity to satisfy. Due Cucina really does serve some great pasta. (5/5) Rustic Porchetta Sandwich ($11.90) - With how great the porchetta sandwich was at Camp Yelp, this is a disappointment. The porchetta, while still flavorful with somewhat anise-like and garlicky aromas, is completely dried out and tough. It's like the pork had been pre-sliced in the morning at a central kitchen, shipped to the restaurant, then placed in a dry heat tray for service. After the meal I confirmed my suspicions with the chef - the porchetta is prepared off site and and driven over every morning. The focaccia, so airy and crisp at Camp Yelp, is also subpar in store. It's floppy, completely saturated with oil, yet feels dried out on the interior. At least the eggplant hasn't degraded in quality too much. While still having a bite (e.g. not super tender), it's grilled and marinated until tangy and savory in a vinaigrette. Interestingly they serve the sandwich on top of a bed of lettuce tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette. The oils in the sandwich drip down while eating to add even more flavor. (3/5) I know that their porchetta is high quality when fresh, but I think the way they have it set up now makes a sandwich that's still tasty, but definitely could be much better. If they choose to open a specialty sandwich shop that roasts the porchetta in house, I'd definitely be a regular. With Due' Cucina, though, I'd stick with the excellent pasta. At the end of the day, pricing is very reasonable. For less than $40 after tax/tip, we both left satisfied. What a rarity for Seattle nowadays. And as a bonus, apparently they refresh the menu often. According to the chef, starting on Monday, Due Cucina will be introducing new pasta shapes, sauces, and different sandwiches. I'll be back for more pasta in the near future! Three generations of the DeLaurenti family oversaw it until 2001 when three local Seattleites took over the reins for the past 25 years to date, Pat McCarthy, Matt Snyder, and Nate Plutko. I'm a Washingtonian since 1973 and have enjoyed seeing this at the corner of 1st and Pike. Numerous visits, but my most recent detour was on 2/16/26. I love gawking at the various sundries and specialty items available especially the chocolates, spices, sauces, olive oils, pasta, ad naseum. Just wander along each aisle, you'll understand and be inspired. Also, what an expansive meat and cheese case with knowledgeable staff for your charcuterie needs! Upstairs you can find a decent selection of wine and spirits and an apertivo spot to have a glass and a bite. I was full from my pasta bowl at nearby Pasta Casalinga, but was eyeing the charcuterie cone. Imagine tasty nibbles to snack on while wandering the rest of the market. Back on the main floor towards 1st Avenue, there's a busy espresso bar and where one can get an Italian panini or pizza slices to go. Highly recommended while at Pike Place Market. Buon Appetito!

Just hot enough to keep you warm but not too hot that you couldn't enjoy. Great flavoring and service! It wasn't until I walked my 4th circle around Pikes Place area that I realized they had a whole deli and grocery store behind it and a wine bar upstairs! Wish I tried some of their food but was a great experience!

Cavatelli al guanciale; pasta with pork, garlic, and kale. A great compliment to the butter and sage pasta, the pork being so soft and flavorful. 2.) the Cavolfiore con bagna caoda; a roasted cauliflower with an anchovy sauce and lemon. Did not think that a vegetable could be the star of the show, but with that sauce, it was our favorite. Loaded with flavor, every bite was perfect 3.) Tajarin con burro e salvia; butter and sage pasta. The fine cut literally melted in your mouth, best to eat first while it's warm. This is a dish that stays year round on their menu and was highly recommended by our friends. We ordered the pastas in the half order which was perfect for 2. Your order comes with complimentary bread which you can ask for olive oil on the side for. Will definitely be back!

It's minimally furnished with just the right amount of ambient lighting. Secondly, it's Italian, but Piedmontese Italian if that means anything to you. We started with crespelle ($29) which is an Italian crepe. The version we ordered was stuffed with prosciutto and parmigiana fonduta with arugula salad. The crepe was light and airy and paired perfectly with the salty prosciutto and parm. Perfect starter. Honestly, all the pastas we ordered were absolute fire. Of the three, I liked the Tajarin Al ragù ($20/$34) the most. It's a fine hand-cut egg yolk pasta with pork and beef ragù. The pasta is so finely cut; it's delicate. What I liked best was the way the ragù sauce enveloped itself into the folds of the pasta. Each bite was cohesive and really intentional. The risotto was also quite good as well - that night, it was the risotto ai gamberi ($21/$35) which highlight spot prawns. The spot prawns were sweet and the Calabrian chili was a really nice complement to the sweet and creamy. Delish. I'm sure the risotto is great in any season. I must say - the best thing about the menu is the fact that you can order a smaller portion of any of the pasta dishes as to not have to fully commit to one. This is a superb way to eat. Live actually. Include Spinasse on any itinerary if you can.
