The flies right behind us hanging out on the vent. They apparently thought they'd been invited to celebrate with us.

We were so disappointed! We found this place through the inKind app and it seemed a perfect spot for our anniversary dinner. The menu looked great, the photos showed a really elegant ambience. We made reservations and arrived eager to relax and enjoy a good meal. Upon entry there is nothing that directs you to the restaurant. We asked a woman who was sitting on a piano bench. Turns out she was the hostess and the server. She asked if we had a reservation which we did but she couldn't find it. She said not to worry she would set the table up for us. Turns out we were the only people there. We got menus but then were informed there was no lobster, no red snapper, and no oxtails. Basically the entrees left were salmon and lamb chops. There might also have been a burger. It was 4:30 on a SATURDAY afternoon and they were out of most things on the menu! We ordered lamb chops with mashed potatoes. No potatoes you can have rice or Mac n cheese. Also no Brussels sprouts. So we got the Mac and the asparagus. Sides were good. Lamb chops were medium well even though I was asked how I would like them and requested medium rare. They were covered with jerk seasoning and then honey was poured on top. Jerk flavor was okay but the honey did not enhance the flavor. Even though we wrote on the reservation that it was a special occasion it was never mentioned. The bill came with a 20% gratuity already included. That is usually our baseline, but it's rare that it's added in advance when we are just a party of two. The service wasn't great but we realized later she was also the bartender. There was one person at the bar and one other party of 2. They're trying but we probably won't be back.

Well well well... I thought I was visiting Papi's -- big NOPE! I was in town for a staycation and always down for good eats. This spot has been on my radar for a while, so I figured it was time to see what the hype was about. We were so unsure we even asked our waitress, but after doing our own homework... let me be clear: this is NOT Papi's Cuisine. It's important to share that so you don't get fooled like I did. Now let's get into this food review: Overall, it's a great place -- cool décor, good music, and surprisingly quiet for a Sunday evening (especially with the Ravens playing at home). We had reservations and were seated immediately. To start, we ordered the crabcake egg rolls: 3/5 stars. The wrapper had a strange taste to me, or it was just too heavily breaded. But they did not miss on the crab -- plenty of it. For entrées, we had the braised honey jerk lamb chops with mac & cheese and kale, and the honey-glazed stuffed salmon with the same sides. I'd give both dishes 3.8/5, but those greens... OMG. Super salty. Like salt salt salt. We ended up draining them and taking the rest home. Our server was good -- friendly -- but she could've been a bit more attentive. Now the beverages... whew. Hennessy Island: 4/5 (the boo loved it; too sweet for me). I went with my old faithful, Tito's and cranberry, and after a few sips I had to ask what brand of cranberry juice they were using... because that cranberry juice was HORRIBLE! All in all, we still had a great night out and good food with my boo. Enjoy!

Ultimate Seafood Alfredo

Food was absolutely amazing, had the ultimate Alfredo. Service was superb. Highly recommend!

The menu. Be careful the brussel sprouts are extremely spicy but it's not noted on the menu.

First red flag, I arrived for dinner around 6:30 and the place was EMPTY. The host immediately apologized for the red stained shirt she was wearing because she spilled wine on herself. ok, I thought maybe it's empty because we reserved an early dinner and this place doesn't fill up until later. Red flag #2: All of the tables were empty but there were 2-3 tables that still had dirty dishes on them. #3: Once seated, I asked the host/ server for lemon wedges for my water, they were out of them ok... how about lime? None of that either. Ok...breathe....let's order some starters, the crab cake eggs rolls and wings will do but hold up, the crab cake egg rolls #4: were not full of the deliciousness I remember from another establishment I frequented. It was hollow and lack that full Flavor I was used to. I even showed my dining partner a picture of the crab egg rolls I had in my phone from my previous visits to that establishment. These were not it; edible but hollow. She received a plate of about 10 wings for her app. She said they were tasty. Now it's time to order my meal, I ordered the lamb chops, Mac n cheese and when I wasn't sure about which vegetable to order I asked the host/server" are the Brussels sprouts honey-glazed because the menu just reads " Brussels sprouts"?" Her reply was " they can be" so great I'll have honey glazed Brussels sprouts. My dining partner ordered the snapper and they were out of that too#5: . I guess I should feel lucky they had the lamb chops at this point. So my friend ordered a side of Mac n cheese. My plate came first and once I received my plate, I remembered I didn't say how I like my chops but also the host/ server did not ask ( I won't give this a red flag because I didn't state how I liked them cooked either) I took a bite of the chop, it was seasoned ok but the pull on the chop was a bit tough. Edible but ok. I then tasted the brussel sprouts and it lit my mouth on fire#6. It was so spicy hot. I examined the vegetable and saw chili pepper flakes throughout the dish. I called the host/ server and told her the brussel sprouts are too hot for human consumption. She then stated " that's because those were the sweet and spicy brussel sprouts". I told her I didn't order that and she stated that's how it's made. So why wouldn't she tell Me that after we had a specific conversation about them is beyond me. I told her, it's not on the menu as spicy and the only person that knew they were spicy was you, not the customer. She took them away. My dining partner received her side of Mac n cheese and her dish portion was 1/3 smaller than my side portion but they comped it because of the brussel sprouts. The mac n cheese was good and we both enjoyed that. I didn't order dessert because the 2nd cocktail I ordered during my meal took so long to arrive, I drank it as dessert. I will never go back to this place. A birthday dinner completely ruined. I even placed it on my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, there was no acknowledgement when we arrived or throughout the whole night, so what's the purpose of asking for it. Then while conversing with the server/ host we find out she is also the manager. So you mean to tell me a manager wears a white shirt, spills red wine and doesn't have a change in the office, doesn't ensure table are bussed in a timely manner and doesn't make customers aware of spicy food or ask how they'd like their chops cooked??? Once I found out she was the manager, I casually asked if the owner was on the premises and they were not. This place doesn't run like a well oiled machine, it's low- key raggedy and someone takes their eye off the ball when it comes to inventory and it seems like common practice.... oh but wait, here's the final red flag...when my partner asked for the receipt, the host/ server/ manager told them she didn't have any more receipt paper and to take a picture of the bill on her device with her phone. You can't make this stuff up. This is a one and done for me. This experience was awful and as I type this I keep remember more red flags: the dirty tissues and rags under the tables to keep them from wobbling... gross. My advice? Retrain your staff, improve your inventory practices, idk how many owners there are but someone should start the dinner shift ( you can alternate days or whatever) be present because the way this place runs when you're not there is embarrassing. Take the wobbly tables off line and 10 wings a plate for an app is why you can't fill your crab egg rolls. And if you require your staff to wear white tops, there should be replacements on site for moments like this so the MANAGER is not walking around all night with a dirty shirt. I hope this helps. Do Better.

Creamy salmon pasta with bacon

I had a good time here just needed to grab dinner before the Summer Walker concert. I didn't do much research other than how far it was from our hotel. From the pics it looked like a worthy and luxurious restaurant. The bar is small and they do offer happy hour but we just went straight to dine in, plenty of seating. They were playing good jams. The kitchen is open which I think is a cool feature to see how they operate. This was my first time drinking again, so I got the lemon drop and my date got the dragon fruit or passionfruit margarita. They did not have oxtails or lobster available at the time, I definitely wanted to try their seafood pasta something heavy and light since I was drinking for the night. I ended up with the salmon creamy pasta. It came with bacon, I could have did without it. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts, really good with the sauce and steamed just right. My date got the lamb chops and they were okay. I did not like the mash potatoes at all. I definitely recommend if you are in the area, I'm glad I had a good time.

Me and the crew decided to check out the happy hour on a Tuesday. Well, it's almost Christmas so we decided to also do our gift exchange. Upon entering there was no one at the hostess stand. When someone did approach me a young lady hollered from the bar to the left of the stand that other person doesn't speak English and how can she help me. She led me to the table where my friends were. There was only one other table of patrons seated right beside us. The happy hour menu seemed promising. Assumed to be smaller versions of regular menu items. Well, let's start with the good...crab cake eggrolls were tasty, small and just average crab meat. Now the salmon bites..... on the menu they said fried however what we received was skin on filets, chopped up and swimming in syrupy super sweet honey sauce. The wings that my friends got appeared to be decent. But the lambchop, you got one lollipop on a plate with sauce. I think they could add a spoon of rice or maybe mashed potatoes for some substance. I asked for coffee, it is a restaurant right? They serve no hot beverages. Asked for ginger ale they only had ginger beer. Don't get the Hennessy Island my friends said it was straight liquor and not good. I asked for brussel sprouts which were on the menu but they didn't have any. They didn't have espresso martinis which was an immediate issue for my other friend. Oh and they have a bottomless cocktail for $30 on happy hour but you can only get that if you purchase $40 worth of food. The place looks like an old hotel and doesn't give fine dining at all in my opinion. I can at least say I've been but doubt I'll be back unless there is some improvement.

Service , food and ambiance 10/10 would definitely go again. Music at a nice level. Good location

Honey jerk lamb chops (awesome)@ Proper Cuisine!

While on another overnighter in B'more, we decided to dine at Proper Cuisine before the big party. This place was on my bookmarks when it was "Prim and Proper", but they've re-branded after a short time, realizing strict dining rules would probably hurt business, so no more "Prim" and now no dress code. We still left the sneakers at home and kept it sexy..LOL! Proper Cuisine is small but beautiful. With a museum type feel, you pass the separate bar area before entering the formal dining room. Again, I was a little surprised at the size, so you BETTER make reservations or else! The menu was excellent and the food was even better except the Crab Rice.. They need to go traditional on that and scrap the current recipe! My girl ordered the crab cake and gave it the highest compliment, saying it was just as good as "Jerry's". If you're from PG County, you know that Jerry's is the best crab cake in the world..LOLOL!! My honey jerk lamb chops were delicious. She's not a spicy fan but I am and those things were BOMB!! Proper offers different flavored charbroiled oysters, so we tried an order of both and again, 10 stars! So Proper did not "properly" staff the restaurant (pun intended) the evening we dined. There was only one server the majority of our visit, but he was super friendly and super attentive given the lack of help. I'm not sure what the other folks are complaining about, but this is my kind of place. Just change the crab rice and give me one more server and we're good.. Lol!

Cheers Love Proper Cuisine

From Prim and Proper to Proper Cuisine, we ended up here for dinner on a staycation in Baltimore. I talked up Papi Cuisine (the original BMore staple) so my significant other found this place and made it our date night spot. I didn't even know this place existed. We walked into a somewhat empty restaurant. As the night grew, it became filled with women. It was just me and my honey and one other couple. Single men, this might be a place to come! The girls are showing up and showing out. I immediately notice there is just one waiter when we walked in. I must admit he was making it happen until 8ish when the restaurant got too busy! They definitely need more hands on deck. Let's get into it! Oysters - Fantastic Lamb Chops - He loved them Crab cake - Delicious Crab fried rice - I've had better Drinks - Met expectations Would I come back? Perhaps if I was in the area. Although a great quaint restaurant, you can tell they are trying to reorganize. Hope they can overcome and make it.

Tables very close to crowded and messy kitchen.

Not a fan. Needs better signage out front. It looks like a barely renovated old apartment building. Parking was terrible and there's no valet. We decided to park in the hotel/public parking lot about a block or so away, cost was $26+. Waitress never introduced herself. Half of the menu wasn't available- no chicken breast, no spinach, no lettuce/salad, no snapper, no mashed potatoes, no broccolini. Food was so so. Not good and not bad but def nothing to write home about. Space is very small, don't be fooled by the pictures. And tables are very close to one another. I didn't care for the placement of the kitchen, it's no privacy and very little space in between the tables and food prep. Music was way too loud. Waitress kept messing up the order and they must of had a glitch or something because they kept bringing two of everything to our table. Finally the check came and it's all digital which is fine but they had a couple incorrect items (remember the double food items that kept coming out). The manager must have felt bad for us and offered complimentary desserts and a round of drinks - def appreciated it!!! All in all, no I would not come back. Food is way too expensive for the quality and ambiance.

The server added sparklers to our dessert which was a nice touch and wished us a happy birthday. However, because we orders two desserts he informed us that he could only comp one of them as a bday dessert. We weren't expecting either to be comped so that was nice. I think the pricing was decent, two non alcoholic drinks, three appetizers, two entrees and a dessert for $130 (as of 2026). Something worth mentioning is that sending a dish back may not result in the food being comped. My friend had also ordered the polenta al funghi but didn't like the aftertaste. She told the server who said he would get the manager. The manager said the dishes are made to order and the owners don't want food being comped (I'm summarizing). Mind you no one said anything about taking it off the check. It wasn't a big deal but interesting that no resolution was offered . Like she could've suggested to replace with something else. She basically just said she's not taking it off the check and that's it. Didn't ruin the experience for me but worth mentioning in case you're the type to send things back to the kitchen. Overall, good experience and I would return.
