Very cute spot and great ambience! Fadensonnen has a tavern, tap house and beer garden. We sat in the tavern which serves some select cocktails, wines and other drinks. The tap house is located just downstairs but we did not go there. It was raining out so there weren't a lot of people sitting out in the beer garden. For food, you can place an order at Chachi's which is just next to the beer garden, and they will bring it out to wherever you're sitting. We tried two of the cocktails at the tavern which were good. The ambience is fantastic - love the cozy, candlelit feeling. It's a great place to bring friends or for a date night. I would come back just for the vibe. The drinks were ok in my opinion. I would probably get a glass of wine the next time I come. There is no table service - you place the order at the bar and wait for your drink to be prepared and bring it to the table yourself. Which was fine as it wasn't super busy and it was fun to hang around the bar. However, I was surprised that gratuity was pre-built into the bill and we did not have the option of adjusting the percentage. This was not advertised on the menu, which was disappointing.

**Beautiful, welcoming vibes! Food is simple but good I came once last summer, and I loved it! My friends and I were celebrating the end of an exam, and this place was perfect. The picnic-style tables are large and spacious. The outdoor seating is open and fresh. The atmosphere was so nice and lively! I tried the rosé and was surprised how much I liked it. Not too expensive for a pour either. My friends got the chicken and potatoes, and I snuck a few bites. It was really simple but flavorful! Definitely want to come back again.

My partner saved Fadensonnen to our list of places to try and this Friday, we were in the area and decided to pop in. We walked into the courtyard and it was so cute! There's food to the right (chicken and potatoes ) and the Taproom and tavern to the left. The vibes here are super intimate and cozy, which I love. I had a super crisp kolsch and my partner had a bourbon yuzu cocktail. We'll be keeping Fadensonnen on the rotation for date nights, for sure.

Chill outdoor hang with a hip vibe. Half chicken with heirloom tomatoes was on point, solid wine list, and the dog-friendly patio seals the deal.

Unique yet affordable cocktails! Fadensonnen definitely blew me away with their cocktail prices. I got the Heaven or Las Vegas for $13, which had the perfect balance of sweetness from the raspberry, refreshing mint, crispiness from the sparkling wine, and to top it off, the notes of cardamom that were light enough to taste, but not overpower the entire drink. The service was excellent and the ambiance is great for a night out with friends.

Fabulous spot for drinks! I went there last weekend while waiting for dinner and it was the perfect vibe! The dim lighting and fireplace make the space feel so warm and inviting. The bartenders were very nice and knowledgeable. I had an amazing orange wine! It was a great spot to get drinks and just relax!

I've been sleeping on this place! How has it been around FOR YEARS (even pre-pandemic) and I've never been??? That's nuts. Anyway, I meandered in after HH at Church. It was dark but the outside seating seemed lovely from what I could see. Since I'm a beer drinker, I didn't head upstairs to look at the wine situation. The beer cellar deal was super cool, all mood. Gave me a Brewer's Art basement vibe, which, love! The beer I selected was really good and I headed outside to drink it. Very good first visit and I definitely intend to return and take the most advantage of this spot! Been missing out for too long!

Now that Fadensonnen has some food provided by the new Chachi's, I feel better about drinking here! The atmosphere is young and social; the servers, swell! They were out of chicken, but I was really in the mood for some sides. The chef recommended the Schmaltz (ie., chicken fat drippings) Potatoes and Red Beans (tomato based with herbs)--and I was bowled over by the ample portions and hearty taste. Even save some for later to keep my mannish bod. Next, I strolled to the taproom for a bear--I mean beer (miskeyed there). I'm a "wine-o" and pretty much exclaimed for all present how I'm SO not into beer and know nothing--other than my favs, by heart: Devil Mountain (defunct?), Killian's Red or Cornona (with a lime, please). Nevertheless, when prompted by server and fellow customers alike, I further admitted my preference for ales or light-tasting swills. Surprisingly, a Reissdorf kölsch was genially recommended and approvingly endorsed by all. In addition, while scarfing and imbibing, a DJ started spinning LPs and 45s (as in rpms!) from percussive club to reggae, music being an additional amenity at the Fad. What's not to like?

I love this wine and sake bar in Remington. From the ambient lighting to the modern decor this is a great spot for pre- post- dinner drinks. There's also Chachi's on site for food. I've been coming here since 2019 and it's always a solid spot. They do include a 20% service fee for all orders. On this occasion, I came to their Gut High wine tasting event. It was so spectacular - from local to international natural wines. It's definitely a hipster cool spot in the city!

What a unique and fabulous space! We came here for pre-dinner drinks on a Friday and got a table no problem. I ordered the Stoned Medusa, a spritz with strong flavors of tamarind - neither too sweet nor bitter. I was most taken about by the lovely space - outdoor tent, a dark and romantic first floor bar, and an airy and spacious upstairs bar with plenty of seating. Since I'm visiting from NYC, this bar struck me compared to other cool cocktails bars because of the uniqueness of the space; something you don't often see in a larger city!

They're made like slushies and are strong (2 of these and you will be done for the evening) The wine is okay!! though not necessarily the highlight in my opinion. When we arrived, we were the only ones there, and there was one staff member working. That said, she came over immediately, brought us menus, and made the experience feel welcoming right away. We had to ask about tastings and she poured us about four different wines to try, which was a really nice touch and made the experience feel relaxed. We liked a few of the wines and ended up purchasing a bottle of Honor Cava Brut Rosato for $32.99. Solid choice. Nothing mind-blowing, but enjoyable and fairly priced for the setting. The space itself felt calm and cozy, especially with the fireplace and wine displays, but at the time we were there it didn't have a ton of energy or buzz. To be fair, it was early in the day, so I can absolutely see this place feeling very different in the evening or on a weekend when the patio and waterfront vibe are in full swing. V-NO is a pleasant, low pressure wine stop with friendly service, a thoughtful tasting experience, and a beautiful waterfront location. It may not scream "vibes" during slower daytime hours, but it's an easy place to relax, learn what you like, and enjoy a glass (or a bottle) without feeling rushed. I'd definitely come back later in the day to see it come to life.

We had a 630pm reservation and by the time we got there things were already busy, but that made for a warm and cozy atmosphere on a damp Friday night - good start. We were seated promptly and soon after our waiter arrived, went through the specials, etc. For our food we split the Crispy Shrimp & Corn Patties, Pork Lumpia, Typhoon Fries, Gochujang Tteokbokki, and the Grill Duck Tonbori. The shrimp & corn patties stole the show - get them; unfortunately, they outclassed the rest of the food which probably contributes to this rating. The pork lumpia was great, but we both felt the serving size was a tad small (even for tapas). Fries were also good but we screwed up by not including any add-ons - will change that next time. The duck was perfectly cooked, and yet underwhelming. I can't point to why - maybe it was just a personal preference. Gochujang Tteokbokki reminded me of one of my favorite DC plates (shoutout Roses Luxury) and I only wish it had more of that delicious duck bacon. You should go here - this place rocks - and it feels so so close to being a truly remarkable experience. We're going to keep an eye on the menu and will look to head back in a few months.
